Steel City Lighting Direct your perfect lighting solutions right here in Sheffield

March 22, 2011 – My son’s school cricket team in Sheffield just got their own field. My 12 year old son was pleased as a punch when he came home from school that day and declared with the likely pomp of a retuning Roman general that he is going to practice on a real cricket field. I was delighted myself because I knew how much this means from him. He has been dreaming about playing as a professional cricketer for as long as I can remember him wearing my old torn out keeper’s gloves. I think this is the next best thing to have happened since when I had presented him his brand new gloves and a set of balls for his 8th birthday. I asked him how the lighting is. Obviously because I have a friend who was working in a company that makes this kind of commercial lighting and industrial lighting stuffs and actually specializes in setting up floodlights for large establishments and fields. The question brought back an empty look and I realized he did not see a light post in the vicinity. I decided to pick up the phone and give a call to the baseball coach asking for an appointment. My appointment brought the attention of the coach and also the school management and we decided to check out some of the solutions offered by Steel City Direct Lighting.

Steel City Direct Lighting sources their materials directly from a trusted list of highly reliable manufacturers of quality lighting solutions. They source products for portable floodlights, low bays, high bays, office lighting solutions, factories, offices and security lighting among others. We went in earnest to check out some of the solutions provided by the company which can match my son’s school cricket field. We immediately stumbled upon the Nightsearcher® portable floodlights. They were great and just the perfect things for the requirement.

In fact I also had a look into their high bay lighting systems for our upcoming warehouse in London. Our old warehouse is shifting and the new premises needed a more powerful, yet energy saving lighting solutions. I looked into the commercial lighting solutions offered, specially the high bay options they offered. I short listed a couple of 250 watt metal halide high bay lights for my supervisor to finalize.

Not to be left behind would be my own small garden; I looked into some of the other industrial lighting options and settled for a metal halide floodlight for myself and ordered one from their catalogue.
