Announcing The First Ever Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Kids Early Reader Book Series

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education was a priority President Obama shared in his inaugural address. For the first time, a STEM-specific kids illustrated book series is being released by best-selling authors Ponn, JuJu, GiGi and JoJo Sabra.

Los Angeles, CA, March 29, 2013 – Best-selling authors and bloggers Ponn, JuJu (12), GiGi (11) and JoJo (9) Sabra announce the new release of: ‘What Is STEM?’ book one of the Emmy and Ott – The STEMBots kids book series. To be released on March 30, 2013, the book aims to “Make Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Fun and Easy for kids aged 4 to 12 years.”

In the attempt to make STEM subjects more practical, approachable, easy-to-understand and fun, best-selling authors and self-proclaimed STEMologists, Ponn, JuJu (12), GiGi (11) and JoJo (9) Sabra, created early-reader level books that will help build kids’ language and STEM-literacy skills at the same time.

Introducing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) To Early Readers
‘What Is STEM?’ is a 30-page colorful kids illustrated book, written in fun and easy rhymes, taught by robot characters Emmy and Ott – the world’s first STEM robots, also known as STEMBots. The book uses rhymes to help children memorize concepts for a fun and playful way to learn and includes a 4-page Glossary of Terms.

‘What is STEM?’ is available through During the official launch from March 30- April 3, 2013, the book will be available FREE in digital format for Kindle readers. After April 3, the book will be $2.99.

“Parents can see the practicality of how, where, and when to infuse STEM into their kid’s daily lives, which can have a profound ability to spark the interest of their kids in these subjects. It’s unfortunate that these subjects are typically known as ‘difficult, boy-only, analytical, unapproachable’ classes. Our goal is to share our colorful and adorable STEMBot characters to excite parents, and demonstrate to kids that Science, Engineering, Technology and Math CAN be fun and easy”, says Ponn Sabra.

Kids need a way to make Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math interesting to them, for their future careers. Right now, one-third of fourth graders have lost an interest in Science, and about 50 percent of eighth graders are not interested in Science or find it unimportant to their education and future.

Despite spending the second most on education, the United States doesn’t rank well compared to the rest of the world. American students rank 28th in Math literary, 24th in Science literacy, and 20th for degrees in Natural Science and Engineering. It is predicted that by 2020, 58 percent of the workforce will be STEM-related jobs. The U.S. is not creating enough STEM-graduates to meet this demand. To stay competitive, our country needs need to build more interest in these subjects and is why President Obama prioritized STEM education in his 2013 inaugural address. In short, we need more STEMologists.

A STEMologist, according to the Sabra’s, is “an expert or someone studying how to make STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fun and practical for all”. The Sabra’s emphasize its value for girls, women and minorities, the under-represented groups in STEM fields.

Free Bonus Gifts For Kids
To further interest kids in these subjects, the Sabra’s offer free bonus gifts with the purchase of the “What is STEM?” book, such as:

An audio recording of the “What is STEM?” book,
Coloring pages of Emmy and Ott throughout the book, and
The opportunity for other kids to participate in weekly contests and challenges to build future STEMologists.

The Sabra Sisters are homeschooled by their mom, Ponn Sabra, a biologist and public health administrator who left her career to raise a family. She blends STEM into all the girl’s daily activities and explorations. JuJu, GiGi and JoJo Sabra have become award-winning inventors, professional bloggers, information product developers, website designers, coders, and best-selling Kindle authors while still tweens.

The Sabras hope to hear from other kids and parents who have also found creative ways to teach STEM at home.

Now in its fifth year, the Georgetown Chapter of BNI exists to help members build their businesses through referrals and personal testimonials, the most powerful form of marketing. The group is seeking businesses in dozens of open categories such as: Chiropractic and most medical categories, Air Conditioning Service, Veterinarian, Pet Grooming, Beautician, Fitness, Interior Design, Marriage and Family Counseling, Photography, Auto Sales and many others.

“The single biggest thing we did for our business was to join BNI. Braun is former President of the group.

We are looking for local businesses that share our passion for high levels of customer service and satisfaction and will consider all of these applicants for membership.” Said Michele Jaroszewski-Webb, Chapter President and owner of the Georgetown Schlotzsky’s restaurant.

About Business Networking International (BNI)

Our Philosophy
The philosophy of this organization is built upon the idea of “Givers Gain®”: By giving business to others, you will get business in return. This is predicated on the age-old idea of “What goes around, comes around.”

Our Mission
The mission of BNI is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive, and professional “word-of-mouth” program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals.

Belonging to BNI is like having dozens of sales people working for you…
…because all of them carry several copies of your business cards around with them. When they meet someone who could use your products or services, they take out your card and recommend you.* It’s as simple as that! It’s simple because it’s based on a proven concept by BNI Founder, Dr. Ivan Misner, called “Givers Gain®.” If I give you business you’ll give me business and we’ll both benefit as a result.

Last year alone, members of BNI passed 7.1 million referrals…
…which generated over $3.3 billion dollars (U.S.) worth of business for its members! BNI is a business and professional networking organization that allows only one person per professional classification or specialty to join a chapter.

Would you like to increase your business by 20%, 30%, 50% or as much as 100%?
You can see results like this! Many have. Some participants have added as many as 50 new clients in the first 2 years!!! Successful businesses depend on word-of-mouth. Word-of-mouth advertising is the best advertising there is.

BNI provides a structured and supportive system of giving and receiving business.
It does so by providing an environment in which you develop personal relationships with dozens of other qualified business professionals. By establishing this “formal” relationship with other people, you will have the opportunity to substantially increase your business.

IAPAM Announces Dates for its Next 2013 Symposium with Botox Injection Training: May 4 & 5

The IAPAM supports physicians entering this cash-based market by offering their NEXT dermatologist-led Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 4-5, 2013.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA – March 27, 2013 — The IAPAM has identified a correlation between the 2012 and 1Q 2013 increase in attendees at its hands-on Botox Training, and the growth in 2012 in botox injection and dermal filler procedures. Physicians looking to combat declining insurance reimbursements are looking to add aesthetic medicine procedures like botox, dermal fillers, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion and chemical peels to their practices. To that end, the IAPAM supports physicians entering this cash-based market by offering their NEXT dermatologist-led Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 4-5, 2013.

Through discussion with its members, and by analyzing recent aesthetic medicine statistics, like the ASPS 2012 Plastic Surgery Procedural Statistics and the ASAPS’s Cosmetic Surgery National Data Bank Statistics 2012, the IAPAM ( has identified that in 2012, aesthetic medicine physicians were performing more botox and other cosmetic injectables procedures, more chemical peel treatments, more laser skin rejuvenation, and more medical microdermabrasions vs. more invasive treatments.

The ASAPS reported that, “Americans spent almost $11 billion on cosmetic procedures in 2012. Of that total….. $2 billion was spent on injectable procedures; $1.8 billion was spent on skin rejuvenation procedures; and over $483 million was spent on other nonsurgical procedures, including laser hair removal and laser treatment of leg veins. [Once again,] the most popular nonsurgical procedure was injections of Botulinum Toxin Type A (including Botox and Dysport). Cosmetic minimally-invasive procedures increased over 10% in the past year, with almost 8.5 million procedures in 2012. Nonsurgical procedures accounted for 83% of the total number of procedures performed representing 39% of total expenditures, and the top five minimally-invasive procedures were:

– Botulinum Toxin Type A: 3,257,913
– Hyaluronic Acid: 1,423,705
– Laser Hair Removal: 883,893
– Microdermabrasion: 498,821
– Chemical Peel: 443,824”

In support of this market growth, the IAPAM has tailored its educational programs, like its Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training (, to ensure physicians have hands-on botox training, and can start offering aesthetic medicine procedures immediately after attending.

Since the key to growth in 2013 will be offering lower cost, short term procedures (i.e. botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, physician-directed skin care and medical microdermabrasion) versus higher cost, long term procedures (i.e. face lifts and breast augmentation), physicians will seek out professional training programs, offered in medical facilities not hotel rooms, and taught by physicians and other expertly trained medical and business personnel. The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums with Botox Training, Aesthetic Medicine Practice Start-Up Workshops and Clean Start hCG for Weight Loss Seminars, are all designed by physicians for physicians, to meet this essential educational need.

The IAPAM ( leads its competitors in offering the most complete botox training and aesthetic medicine education in North America. Attendees at the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums will have the competitive advantage of learning from board-certified dermatologists and experts in the fields of botox injection training, lasers, dermal fillers, hCG for weight loss, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Moreover, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium ( is specifically designed by physicians, for physicians. The IAPAM’s March 23-24, 2013 Symposium has integrated the most important clinical, aesthetic medicine business, and botox training ALL into one weekend, including:

– dedicated instruction from board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables;
– hands-on practice in the best Botox injection techniques;
– Botox training at a multi-million dollar medical practice, not in a hotel room; and
– an environment that does not allow exhibitors, giving physicians more time for education.

Attendees also have the opportunity to:

1. Attend the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Practice Start-Up Workshop ( on Monday, May 6, 2013, a program highlighting the latest information on medspa business development and social media marketing.

2. Attend the IAPAM’s Clean Start hCG Weight Loss Training ( on Friday, May 3, 2013, which covers the new Clean Start hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) for Weight Loss Program, prescription appetite suppressants, ketogenic diet based programs, meal replacements and B6/12 injections.

Add aesthetic medicine modalities to a medical practice in 2013! Physicians who have attended the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Injection Training applaud ( its comprehensiveness, and the year of practice support and client service from the IAPAM definitely makes this association and this training program different than the others.

For more information on the IAPAM’s Botox Training, watch the comprehensive video on our Symposium at or to REGISTER for the next Aesthetic Medicine Symposium on May 4-5, 2013, please contact the IAPAM, at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 704, or visit

Guardtime Partners with Japan Drones Delivering Keyless Signature Infrastructure for Drone Security

Guardtime today announced it is partnering with Japan Drones, the leading developer of custom software for miniature Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) selling into the Japanese market.

Tokyo (Japan) | Palo Alto, CA (USA), March 27, 2013 — Guardtime ( ), the leading provider of Keyless Signature Infrastructure (KSI) technology for the authentication of electronic data, today announced it is partnering with Japan Drones, the leading developer of custom software for miniature Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) selling into the Japanese market.

Keyless Signatures provide proof of signing time, signing entity and data authentication while the verification of the signature can be done offline without reliance on keys, secrets, or the existence of a trusted third party.

Ensuring the absence of malware and confidence over the integrity and authenticity of software on UAVs is an absolute must.

CEO Randy Mackay of Japan Drones said, “By using keyless signatures to sign source code stored in Github, but also access logs and compiled binaries, we have a completely mathematical and independent audit trail over the provenance of electronic data executing on our UAVs as well as the real time video and telemetry data that is being recorded.”

“Guardtime’s KSI technology is completely unique in that there are no keys to be compromised, thereby vastly simplifying the cost and complexity relative to using key based cryptography,” said Mackay.

“The threat of malware is a huge issue for drone manufacturers and operators,” said Mike Gault, Guardtime CEO. “Being able to have mathematical certainty over the integrity and authenticity of executing software is a major step forward. With KSI it is possible to verify the provenance of the executable binaries independently from any human being.”

Ahto Buldas, Guardtime Chief Scientist, said: “Guardtime is thrilled to be partnering with Japan Drones and seeing KSI being used for such an important application. Recent events have shown that quantum computing is becoming a reality and the need for post-quantum cryptography such as KSI is clear.”

Most recently, Guardtime announced a partnership with the Estonian Government for securing records in select state registries. Guardtime also announced a partnership with the Philippines Government to validate physical document integrity and with China Telecom, the largest fixed line telecommunications service provider in the People’s Republic of China, establishing China Telecom as a Keyless Signature service provider via its Tianyi 3G platform.

About Japan Drones:
Japan Drones specializes in custom software development for miniature UAVs primarily for the Japanese Market with applications including volcano research and surveying. Japan Drones CEO Randy Mackay is an executive board member of the Mini-Surveyor Consortium, which aims to complete development of a commercial use, safe and dependable multicopter platform for Japan within two years.

About Guardtime:
Guardtime was founded with the goal of solving one of the biggest problems in computing: how to authenticate electronic data. Guardtime’s Keyless Signatures provide proof of signing time, signing entity and data integrity while the verification of the signature can be done offline without reliance on keys, secrets, or the existence of a trusted third party. Guardtime’s mission is to change the world to one in which Keyless Signatures are ubiquitous and a natural part of the everyday data lifecycle, whether on disk, in transit, or in the Cloud. Empire Rockefeller Vodka and Vintage Champagne Featured In Upcoming 98 Degrees Video “Microphone”

Empire Rockefeller Vodka and F. Rockefeller and Sons Champagne – 2004, had special supporting roles in the recent filming of the new 98 Degrees video “Microphone” as the Ultra premium vodka and Vintage champagne were used as props in a bottle service scene.

New York, NY, March 25, 2013 – The video of the boy band featuring Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons was recently filmed at the famed Beecher’s Madhouse Theater at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California and is due out later this year. The band’s new album “2.0” – their first with new material in 13 years – is due out May 7.

Empire Rockefeller Vodka, part of the Vintage Rockefeller Wine & Spirits Group, came to market in 2012 and has quickly earned respect for its unique smooth taste. It is the only vodka in the world that is distilled six times in a copper cognac kettle in the Cognac region of France. The winter wheat used for Empire Rockefeller Vodka is done organically in France in the dedication of being as natural as possible. The water used in its production comes from pristine French springs, filtered through Champagne limestone. Empire Rockefeller starts off with what can be described as a very mild sweet start. This taste greets and lingers for a few seconds and gives way to a full-bodied middle followed by an extraordinary smooth, subtle finish.

F. Rockefeller and Sons Champagne is a vintage 2004 champagne that features a delicate stream of bubbles, a golden straw color and honey-mingled aromas with notes of hazelnut and subtle notes of almond paste and vanilla. It has been described as fresh, well-rounded and astonishingly persistent.

Vintage Rockefeller Wine & Spirits produces a portfolio of high quality vodka, champagne, cognac and soon wines – all produced in France. It is currently distributed in the United States in New York, Florida, Nevada and Pennsylvania with more states being rolled out later this year.
