IAPAM Announces Next Aesthetic Medicine Symposium in Scottsdale: May 17-18

The IAPAM announces its next Aesthetic Medicine Symposium: May 17-18 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (April 12, 2014) — Medical practices can thrive by adding non-insurance based services to their practices, such as botox, dermal fillers, anti-aging treatments (chemical peels/ microdermabrasion), lasers for hair removal/tattoo removal & non-invasive body sculpting, and medically supervised weight management. To educate physicians on how to profitably add these procedures to their practices, the IAPAM has spaces remaining at its next Aesthetic Medicine Symposium: May 17-18 in Scottsdale, AZ.

There has been much talk in the physician community regarding Obamacare: the Affordable Care Act or the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Many physicians are concerned about how this new program will impact the health of their patients and the health of their medical practices.

However, there is evidence that by adding minimally-invasive treatments, such as: botox, dermal fillers, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, body contouring technologies (e.g. skin tightening, fat reduction), lasers for skin rejuvenation/tattoo removal/hair removal, and medically supervised weight management programs (e.g. the hCG Diet), the income of a practice will increase, since payments for these treatments are made directly and immediately to the clinic.

Therefore, to provide physicians seeking both clinical and business training in adding these aesthetic modalities, the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine ( IAPAM ) designed its Aesthetic Medicine Symposium to give physicians ALL the information, physician resources, patient materials, practice tools (e.g. editable consent forms, etc.), clinical DVDs, and industry-leading didactic and hands-on training, that they need to begin offering aesthetics when they finish the conference.

The IAPAM is the only complete education program that offers:

• An Accelerated program: physicians and their staff can be certified over a weekend;
• Clinical training DVDs to take back to one’s practice;
• Board Certified Dermatologists as instructors;
• Internationally Recognized Certification;
• CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits;
• 1 Year of comprehensive Practice Support (which continues as long as one is a member);
• And much, much, more!

“The IAPAM has noticed a sharp increase in the registrations for its cosmetic procedures, hands-on, CME training programs like botox/fillers, lasers, microdermabrasion, and non-invasive body shaping; along with its medically supervised weight loss program, all of which are not insurance-covered procedures, and which are in demand by a majority of physicians’ existing patients,” says Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com).

IAPAM Announces First of its 2014 Symposium Dates: February 8-9, 2014

The IAPAM announces the first of its 2014 dates for its respected Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with botox training, in Scottsdale, Arizona: February 8-9.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (December 17, 2013) — The IAPAM’s guiding principle is enRICHing Physicians Lives, and its goal is to support physicians who are seeking business education, may be over their heads with student debt and now, with reduced insurance reimbursements, are looking for cash-based modalities to add to their practices and to add to their bottom lines. To address this need, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium was specifically designed as a “one-stop” program to add non-insurance based medical procedures to a practice, or to start a new medspa. The IAPAM announces the first of its 2014 dates for its respected Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with botox training, in Scottsdale, Arizona: February 8-9.

Lower insurance reimbursements are causing pain points for the physicians, and they are looking for other sources of revenue, just to break even. To support physicians seeking training in aesthetic modalities, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium was designed to give physicians all the information, forms, DVDs, hands-on training, etc. that they need to begin offering aesthetics when they finish the conference. As well, it is important to understand that botox is not a profit centre, just a gateway to make money with other aesthetic procedures. Only the IAPAM’s Symposium teaches physicians about this principle ….. no one else is offering this competitive intelligence.

The IAPAM is the only complete program that offers:

• An Accelerated program; physicians and their staff can be certified over a weekend;
• Clinical training DVD’s to take back to one’s practice;
• Board certified Dermatologists as instructors;
• Internationally recognized Certification;
• CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits;
• 1 Year practice support (continues as long as a member); and much, much, more!

“More patients are turning to the more inexpensive non-invasive procedures rather than surgical cosmetic procedures,” says Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (http://www.iapam.com). “They may not get the long term benefits of a face lift, but with a combination treatment of botox and dermal fillers, then can get a great result at a fraction of the price.”

IAPAM Announces Dates for its Next 2013 Symposium with Botox Injection Training: May 4 & 5

The IAPAM supports physicians entering this cash-based market by offering their NEXT dermatologist-led Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 4-5, 2013.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA – March 27, 2013 — The IAPAM has identified a correlation between the 2012 and 1Q 2013 increase in attendees at its hands-on Botox Training, and the growth in 2012 in botox injection and dermal filler procedures. Physicians looking to combat declining insurance reimbursements are looking to add aesthetic medicine procedures like botox, dermal fillers, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion and chemical peels to their practices. To that end, the IAPAM supports physicians entering this cash-based market by offering their NEXT dermatologist-led Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 4-5, 2013.

Through discussion with its members, and by analyzing recent aesthetic medicine statistics, like the ASPS 2012 Plastic Surgery Procedural Statistics and the ASAPS’s Cosmetic Surgery National Data Bank Statistics 2012, the IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) has identified that in 2012, aesthetic medicine physicians were performing more botox and other cosmetic injectables procedures, more chemical peel treatments, more laser skin rejuvenation, and more medical microdermabrasions vs. more invasive treatments.

The ASAPS reported that, “Americans spent almost $11 billion on cosmetic procedures in 2012. Of that total….. $2 billion was spent on injectable procedures; $1.8 billion was spent on skin rejuvenation procedures; and over $483 million was spent on other nonsurgical procedures, including laser hair removal and laser treatment of leg veins. [Once again,] the most popular nonsurgical procedure was injections of Botulinum Toxin Type A (including Botox and Dysport). Cosmetic minimally-invasive procedures increased over 10% in the past year, with almost 8.5 million procedures in 2012. Nonsurgical procedures accounted for 83% of the total number of procedures performed representing 39% of total expenditures, and the top five minimally-invasive procedures were:

– Botulinum Toxin Type A: 3,257,913
– Hyaluronic Acid: 1,423,705
– Laser Hair Removal: 883,893
– Microdermabrasion: 498,821
– Chemical Peel: 443,824”

In support of this market growth, the IAPAM has tailored its educational programs, like its Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com), to ensure physicians have hands-on botox training, and can start offering aesthetic medicine procedures immediately after attending.

Since the key to growth in 2013 will be offering lower cost, short term procedures (i.e. botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, physician-directed skin care and medical microdermabrasion) versus higher cost, long term procedures (i.e. face lifts and breast augmentation), physicians will seek out professional training programs, offered in medical facilities not hotel rooms, and taught by physicians and other expertly trained medical and business personnel. The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums with Botox Training, Aesthetic Medicine Practice Start-Up Workshops and Clean Start hCG for Weight Loss Seminars, are all designed by physicians for physicians, to meet this essential educational need.

The IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) leads its competitors in offering the most complete botox training and aesthetic medicine education in North America. Attendees at the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums will have the competitive advantage of learning from board-certified dermatologists and experts in the fields of botox injection training, lasers, dermal fillers, hCG for weight loss, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Moreover, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com) is specifically designed by physicians, for physicians. The IAPAM’s March 23-24, 2013 Symposium has integrated the most important clinical, aesthetic medicine business, and botox training ALL into one weekend, including:

– dedicated instruction from board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables;
– hands-on practice in the best Botox injection techniques;
– Botox training at a multi-million dollar medical practice, not in a hotel room; and
– an environment that does not allow exhibitors, giving physicians more time for education.

Attendees also have the opportunity to:

1. Attend the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Practice Start-Up Workshop (http://iapam.com/aesthetic-practice-startup-workshop) on Monday, May 6, 2013, a program highlighting the latest information on medspa business development and social media marketing.

2. Attend the IAPAM’s Clean Start hCG Weight Loss Training (http://www.hcgtraining.com) on Friday, May 3, 2013, which covers the new Clean Start hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) for Weight Loss Program, prescription appetite suppressants, ketogenic diet based programs, meal replacements and B6/12 injections.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA – March 11, 2013 — Since February 2010, the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM) has offered the most comprehensive hCG/Physician Weight Loss Training program. The IAPAM’s hCG Training is a response to the overwhelming interest by patients and physicians alike, in hCG and other weight management treatments. This medical malpractice coverage is not offered to any other hCG training program.

These special medical malpractice insurance rates are not the only benefit to being certified by the IAPAM. The IAPAM’s program gives physicians “all the information and resources they need to start offering hCG and other medical weight loss treatments to their patients immediately upon returning to their practices,” emphasizes Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM and one of the faculty presenting at the IAPAM’s hCG training.

Coupled with unsurpassed clinical and business intelligence, attendees will also receive a CD with resources like the IAPAM’s comprehensive hCG for Weight Loss medical history form, an informed consent form, waiting room presentations, staff phone scripts, job descriptions, etc. Equally, registrants receive the IAPAM’s hCG Physician Handbook and a sample of the IAPAM’s NEW Clean Start hCG Weight Loss Patient Kit, (http://iapam.com/aesthetic-resources/clean-start-weight-loss-program) which can be re-ordered and distributed to all hCG patients.

“Also, we not only cover hCG for weight loss, but B6/B12 injections, pharmacology, ketogenic diets, and VLCD/LCD meal replacement programs,” asserts Russell. “Through the development and delivery of this comprehensive and timely training, the IAPAM re-affirms its commitment to physicians, to provide the industry’s foremost aesthetic medicine and now medically supervised weight loss education. The IAPAM has long been recognized as the leading dermal filler and Botox training provider in North America, and now our hCG for Medical Weight Loss certification has also been recognized by a principal insurance provider.”
