Derrick and Tukaj Offer New Social-Emotional Learning Resources through Book Launch and Website

Special Education professionals, Amanda Derrick and Jessica Tukaj, are excited to celebrate their first children’s book, “In Time Butterfly,” at their book release event.

San Antonio, TX, USA, July 12th, 2018 — Special Education professionals, Amanda Derrick and Jessica Tukaj, are excited to celebrate their first children’s book, “In Time Butterfly,” at their book release event. Their book release event will take place on July 28, 2018, at the Butterfly Estates located at 1815 Fowler Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) experiences provide students with the opportunity to enhance their prosocial skills, which aid in creating healthier students, schools, workforces, and communities. Fostering SEL across environments encourages retention of all these skills.

“Social-Emotional learning opportunities are imperative in the educational journey of our children. Children need the opportunity to practice skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and positive decision making,” states Derrick.

Derrick and Tukaj have been conversing about meeting the educational needs of all students since 2001 when they roomed together at Florida Gulf Coast University. Both women went on to earn their Bachelors in Special Education, before continuing on to earn a combined three Master’s degrees in various areas of education. Through their educational and professional journeys, the conversations have returned to the importance of SEL being incorporated into students’ educational careers.

Derrick and Tukaj have decided to team-up to create a children’s book that presents a new perspective, teaching children the value of being a unique individual. “There is a lack of knowledge and resources addressing social-emotional development, which is why we decided to create this book,” says Tukaj. “All learning begins within social-emotional skills.” Through their website and social media accounts, Derrick and Tukaj will provide both science and SEL resources that correlate with their book.

The additional resources for “In Time Butterfly” can be found on their website at www.derrickandtukaj.com as well as through their social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. “In Time Butterfly” is now available at Halo Publishing International, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, and Books a Million in Hardcover for $19.95, in Paperback for $13.95, and as an e-Book for $5.00.

Aisha K. Guiles Empowers Others to Fulfill Their Walk with God

With a background in biology and pre-medicine, Aisha K. Guiles has a unique perspective on spirituality that she is using to empower others.

San Antonio, TX, USA, Jul 11th, 2018 — With a background in biology and pre-medicine, Aisha K. Guiles has a unique perspective on spirituality that she is using to empower others.

“I incorporate my own biology background by using spiritual senses through finite revelation,” Guiles explains. “I had serious issues following traditional worship. Instead, my path was to follow a supernatural walk with God.”

From her experience as a child in the Nation of Islam and then the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Guiles is now an ordained minister in the non-denominational church.

Of her ministry, Guiles comments: “I’ve worked with several ministries in different capacities. My true mission is to spark the attention of those who are either new to learning how to pray, weary with their prayer life, or seasoned and need a refresher course.”

To fulfill this mission, Guiles was called to write a prayer book to guide others on their walk with God entitled, “Heavenly Father, Will You Teach Me How to Pray? A Prayer Journal on How to Develop a Closer Walk with God”.

“I want readers to be inspired to develop their own personal journey and self-reflection on past issues that may conflict with walking with God in a divine way,” says Guiles, who hopes to empower readers. “I want those who are curious about understanding the Scriptures to realize that they can interpret and understand the context of the Scriptures as well as receive their own revelation from the Holy Spirit.”

She advises that “If you grasp early on that effective prayer has to be with a truly sincere heart and spirit when you go before the Lord without hatred, bitterness, envy, resentment, or malice, you can make an impact in the Kingdom of Heaven and here on earth.”

Publisher Lisa M. Umina adds, “Aisha Guiles has a fresh voice that is adding something new and different to the current conversation on spirituality in our society.”

For more information about Aisha K. Guiles visit www.halopublishing.com. “Heavenly Father, Will You Teach Me How to Pray?” is now available at Halo Publishing International, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, and Books a Million in Paperback for $19.95 and as an e-Book for $6.99.

Hola Publishing Expands in the Mexican Market, Calling for New Voices to Share their Stories

Hola Publishing International offers authors publishing and printing services with global distribution.

San Antonio, TX, USA, July 2, 2018 — New publishing and print options for authors are now available in the Mexican market. Hola Publishing International offers authors publishing and printing services with global distribution. The growth of this affordable publishing option has been limited in the Mexico market because printers only offer their services directly to traditional publishers.

With already established digital printing facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, China, India, and Germany, to name a few, Halo Publishing International has recently expanded their Spanish Language Imprint, Hola Publishing, in the Mexican market.

By offering POD (Print on Demand) services, which are a rarity in Mexico, Hola’s goal is to encourage more writers to publish their stories. Authors and organizations no longer face the barrier of having to order 2,000 books. They can place smaller orders ranging from 25 to 1,000 books and receive global distribution to sell their books around the world.

Publisher and CEO, Lisa M. Umina comments, “Our company is set up to work with small self-published authors as well as corporations, embassies, government, non-profits, and universities. Our Mexican authors have been successful;for example, we published the story of Luchandopor mi vida, mi historiaby Clarita Sierra who has been recognized and become a national speaker in schools around Mexico with her best-selling memoir about her son struggling with addiction.”

Cecilia Sotres, Hola’s publishing consultant, adds, “We saw a gap in the Mexican digital print market, and we are so excited to bring new opportunities to Mexico to publish previously unheard voices from throughout the country.”

According to Sotres, “We are at the cutting edge of this industry. We provide global digital distribution for all our books in paperback, hardcover, and e-book. Our authors retain 100% rights to their books.”

Hola Publishing has found a way to reduce barriers to the high costs associated with shipping to Mexico from the United States, and they are proud to offer a product that is produced entirely in Mexico. By streamlining this process, they have been able to reduce turnaround time to 60 days in print while maintaining an extremely high quality finished product.

“The direction we are taking is to collaborate with the corporate world and working with large educational institutes. Printers here in Mexico have open arms about partnering with us to give our customer’s the best pricing and product,” says Umina.

New Virtual Mentoring App, thirty2give, Anonymously Matches Mentors and Mentees Worldwide

The thirty2give mobile phone app facilitates an innovative mentoring approach that allows people to use their smartphone to become a mentor or mentee anywhere around the globe. The app uses anonymity to eliminate unconscious bias to ensure that the transfer of knowledge is optimized.

Philadelphia, PA, USA, July 2, 2018 — Recently, thirty2give LLC launched a ground-breaking mobile application that enables anyone with a smartphone to find or become a mentor anywhere in the world. The new app—called thirty2give—creates a global framework for transferring knowledge by bringing virtual mentors and mentees together in public and private chat rooms for the sole purpose of sharing their expertise.

“Anyone can be a mentor; it doesn’t matter whether you have zero or three degrees,” said CEO David Cain. “If you have a life experience, we believe that there is someone in the world that can benefit and learn from your experience. Our tagline, ‘Reaching back to pay it forward,’ reflects our belief that there are many successful people around the world who are eager to share lessons from their achievements.”

The thirty2give app facilitates the virtual matchup of mentees with mentors based on a number of factors, including generation, gender, geography, nationality, industry and expertise. Here’s how it works: Mentors simply complete a profile describing their experience. Mentees complete a similar profile and create a request detailing the type of support they are seeking. Then the mentee can query the list of available mentors and request the person who best matches their specifications. Thereafter, the mentor and mentee can access a chat room where they can interact in private.

With thirty2give, mentors and mentees can engage in a professional mentoring relationship that benefits both parties. Mentees can increase their productivity and performance, while mentors can receive an opportunity to give back, personal satisfaction and new ideas. Mentoring sessions involve two people giving each other 30 days of their time—which is how the app received its name. The 30-day commitment can be renewed if the mentee and mentor are satisfied with their relationship.

The thirty2give application is distinctive because it goes beyond the traditional match-making model and uses an anonymous method to pair mentors and mentees. During the matching process, no real names are given, and the participants’ gender, color and ethnicity are never disclosed. Therefore, the app can be used by people who normally would suffer from the notoriety of exposing themselves, such as celebrities, politicians, and even individuals who have physical disabilities. This not only protects the identity of both the mentor and mentee, but it encourages the most successful people in society to reach back and share their knowledge and wisdom with others without worry about someone exploiting their fame for personal gain. “The result is a transfer of knowledge on an even playing field that is free of unconscious bias,” Cain said.

In fact, unconscious bias—along with the reduced population of mentors due to the exodus of baby boomers from the work place and the work ethics of millennials—is a key factor that drove the creation of the new app. The mentoring relationship supported by the app relies on a “curtain concept” to foster anonymity in a way that makes the transfer of knowledge seamless, so both parties can talk freely without worrying about inadvertent prejudices. “Think about it: If you had a curtain between you and a mentor where you could not be influenced or biased by appearances, gender, or race, imagine the questions you’d ask,” said Chief Marketing Officer Al Robinson. “Imagine the knowledge you’d gain with an invaluable experience as the end result.”

The conceptual framework of the thirty2give app is based on the 1952 study by the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s use of a curtain to conduct blind auditions that shielded musicians from interviewers in an attempt to increase the recruitment of female artists. The interviewers’ evaluations were based solely on talent, resulting in an increase in the hiring rates of female musicians. Consequently, other symphonies began using the same tactic. Now thirty2give is using a similar strategy to benefit mentees and mentors who are taking advantage of its innovative application.

The thirty2give virtual mentoring app is currently available for download on iTunes for iPhone and Google Play for Android. For more information, contact David Cain at (855) 250-2355 or visit www.thirty2give.com.

Guberman Submits Offer to U.S. Steel to Drop China-led IAF Oversight Which Links Them to Iran and North Korea

Daryl Guberman of G-PMC, has made it his mission to expose the deep connections between the terror-nation linked International Accreditation Forum and major U.S. businesses. His latest effort was submitting an offer to work with U.S. Steel to give them quality accreditation services from his U.S. firm.

New York, NY, USA, June 25, 2018 — How and from whom a business is certified by carries a huge amount of weight, clearly. Both for ethical and for their own internal security and quality control issues. Few understand this as well as Daryl Guberman, a business leader with over three decades of experience in quality, and seven years at the head of the accreditation organization G-PMC which he founded and leads. In recent months Guberman has exposed numerous foreign-linked accreditation firms, especially the Chinese-led International Accreditation Forum (IAF), as being of a very questionable nature, to put it mildly. Recently, G-PMC celebrated Guberman meeting with leaders from U.S. Steel to present to them the idea of working with the American-based and loyal G-PMC rather than something like the IAF, while having an address in the U.S., is led by a Chinese national, a country with well-known North Korean ties, and a long list of anti-American and ant-Israel nations, like Iran, as signatories. The enthusiasm surrounding the meeting is high.

“We continue to revolutionize quality accreditation methods working hard to deliver the best value we possibly can to our clients to make sure their quality standards are held to the highest level,” remarked Guberman. “But beyond that we feel a strong personal responsibility to make people aware of how many American businesses are, often unintentionally, working with quality accreditation organizations that have terrorist and antisemitic nation ties. In fact one of the leaders in this space the IAF is led by China, a country who has repeatedly spied and hacked American businesses and state organizations. How can an American business work with these types of alliances, and sleep well at night? Our hope is knowing the truth will help them make the right decision in this area.”

To make things even worse a popular accreditation organization active and affiliated with IAF is the Arab Accreditation Cooperation, which includes much more than a handful of nations that celebrate antisemitism with passion. As a Jewish-American business leader Daryl Guberman sees it as a personal responsibility to help shine the spotlight on this potentially dangerous situation to America and American businesses.

The meeting with U.S. Steel went very well, with their representatives being unaware of the IAF’s links and seeming to be ready to break off from them and work with a pro-American, America-based accreditation group like G-PMC instead. Negotiations are ongoing.

G-PMC & ABAC to Meet Ford Motor Company to Discuss Quality, Confidence and Security of the Standards Group They Use

Why would American companies put their trust in quality accreditation organizations led by or containing members of hostile foreign nations? G-PMC and ABAC are doing their best to both raise this question and providing effective solutions to the problem.

New York, NY, USA, June 22, 2018 — Ford Motor Company is a legendary American business that finds itself using quality accreditation groups who have recently been brought to the limelight as having ties to hostile foreign nations. American owned and operated G-PMC & ABAC are presenting their case to Ford showing how they can solve this problem, led by the thirty-year veteran of the industry Daryl Guberman, also well known as a whistleblower who has spent a great amount of time and energy exposing the presence of China, Iran, North Korea, and other dangerous nations running or being members of quality accreditation organizations like the IAF, the International Accreditation Forum, and other accreditation groups.

“As a Jewish-American business owner it makes me sick to think some American companies of the highest stature have been fooled into working with things like the IAF dripping with anti-American and anti-Israel sentiment,” remarked Guberman, with his usual charisma and passion. “It’s an insult both to America and to our industry. We are working hard to reverse this trend and hopefully our meeting with Ford will help inspire them to move in the right direction. All the proof is objective and clear, in black and white.”

G-PMC points towards the IAF and similar groups failure in working with Audi motors which lead to first a series of recalls of 75,000 vehicles and then a 4.8 million car recall only a few years later. G-PMC points the way forward and beyond these kinds of problems, having experience with companies as large as Boeing, excelling in the execution of their quality assistance program.

Guberman continued, “If Ford comes on board with us, a fellow American business, they will send a strong positive message and avoid any potential embarrassment that could come along with working with the Chinese-led, North Korea, and Iran member accreditation groups like the IAF who appear to be both immoral and less than competent. It’s a win for American businesses, our workers, and our nation.”

Daryl Guberman, beyond business, is known to be a passionate supporter of veteran’s causes and campaigner against political corruption. He is deeply considering taking his considerable knowledge and experience and putting to good use in an effort to win a seat in the U.S. Senate in 2020 running as an independent. More news in that area should be available soon.

G-PMC Reveals Shocking Truths About IAF & ANAB Two Certification Organizations with Ties to Anti-American Nations

Is it possible that anti-American and anti-Israel elements have taken over major quality accreditation organizations, like the IAF? Absolutely, according to G-PMC Founder Daryl Guberman it absolutely is and he has not hesitated to provide the objective truth that this is true.

Milwaukee, WI, USA, June 22, 2018 — It’s a sad, but undeniable truth that both America and, the Middle East’s only democracy, Israel, have a large number of nations across the world who consider them either very strong competitors or actual enemies. China, Iran, and Pakistan certainly lead this list. In a series of eye-opening revelations Daryl Guberman, founder of quality certification company G-PMC, has shown that two questionable organizations involved in accreditation, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) (http://aboac.org/iaf-international-accreditation-forum) and ANAB (The ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board) are led by Chinese nationals (in the case of the IAF) and are affiliated to Iran, who have threatened both America and Israel with destruction, and over a dozen other nations packed with anti-American and anti-Israel beliefs and histories. Daryl Guberman even has shown that the IAF receives funding from U.S. government sources, in an incredible display of naivety on the part of the U.S. and potentially sinister scheming on the part of the IAF.

Guberman’s video titled “More Revelations Emerge: International Accreditation Forum (IAF) & ANAB Risk To American Interests” can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H9q8WjuvUE

“As an American-Jewish businessman it’s impossible to not care about these issues,” commented Guberman. “Every time an American business gets accredited by the IAF or one of their affiliates they open up all of their internal information to hostile foreign eyes. What good, sane, explanation, can there be for this? An owner may as well hand over the keys to their business and all their passwords to the Chinese and Iranians. This is affecting the aerospace, manufacturing, medical, and many other industries. ISO registrars must be held accountable. We hope sane America businesses who may have unintentionally made this mistake reverse it and turn to an American-based, operated, and loyal firm like our own G-PMC instead.”

G-PMC are experts at securing ISO-9001;2008, 13485, AS9100, and TS16949 certification, as well as ISO-17025 and ISO-14000 compliance and certification. The company is happy to assist clients in all aspects of their QMS (quality management system), along with performing management and audit reviews. All with the goal of increasing quality, productivity, and cutting costs.

Guberman and G-PMC are always pleased to discuss possible needs with new clients and have a resume that includes successful projects operate for small, medium, and large companies, including Boeing.

Positivity Can Save Your Life, Woman Proves by Overcoming Battle against Rare Cancer

A cancer diagnosis is difficult for anyone to receive, and Donna Moore’s prognosis was not optimistic.

San Antonio, TX, USA, June 15, 2018 — “I was told from the beginning that most people’s bodies can’t handle the treatment, let alone withstand the cancer,” Moore recounts.

In 2010, she was diagnosed with Adenosarcoma, a rare type of uterine cancer. When the cancer was discovered to be metastatic, her oncologist prepared for the worst. “The treatment for metastatic cancer focuses on extending and maintaining one’s quality of life—not finding a cure. At least this was the situation when I first met Donna Moore,” medical oncologist Michael S. Gordon writes.

“In that moment, I realized we had an uphill battle and we were going to have to start treatment right away,” explains Moore.

In addition to starting treatment, Moore began to read about other cancer patients who had survived the disease. “I wanted to know what they did to survive. The common thread was if you don’t keep the energy in your body flowing positively it will impede treatment. I focused a lot on keeping my energy flow positive, and a lot of that was humor. A lot of it was God.”

Her “adventure with cancer,” as Moore has dubbed it, meant trying everything and anything that promised to help her heal. From essential oils to energy work and traditional treatments, Moore was open to everything. She began writing regular e-mail updates, and she realized that she was not only keeping her friends and family apprised of her status but also entertained by her upbeat stories about this trying chapter of her life.

It was this e-mail correspondence that prompted Moore to write a book so that her story could be a resource to others who were facing an especially challenging life situation or disease.

Of the book, Moore comments, “I hope it will help people to approach these difficult situations positively and to add humor to it. To be able to laugh at a difficulty and not to take it so seriously. People need to know that there are so many different ways of healing yourself, and everybody has a unique approach.”

Defeating this rare cancer, Moore overcame odds that were undeniably stacked against her.

“It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Donna’s recovery was nothing short of miraculous,” adds Publisher Lisa M. Umina. “This author illustrates so clearly that, in a world where many take a poor prognosis as a death sentence, there is room for positivity, faith, and incredible healing.”

For more information about Donna Moore, visit www.handlewithlovebydonna.com and www.halopublishing.com. “Handle With Love: One Woman’s Approach to Kicking a Nasty-Ass Cancer” is now available at Halo Publishing International and Amazon in Paperback for $14.95, and as an e-Book for $4.98.

Jerome N. Okoye Advocates Invigorating Faith to Fulfill Our Human Potential

Having overcome numerous adversities as a boy growing up in Nigeria, Jerome N. Okoye is creating a platform to share this powerful message.

San Antonio, TX, USA, June 14, 2018 — “You have been created for much more.”

Having overcome numerous adversities as a boy growing up in Nigeria, Jerome N. Okoye is creating a platform to share this powerful message.

Although Nigeria is Africa’s biggest economy, about 67% of the population still lives below the poverty line, a reality with which Jerome is intimately familiar.

From growing up as a child in Ajengule—one of Nigeria’s most notorious slums—to never being sure if there would be enough to eat, Jerome went on to get a degree in electrical engineering and a post-graduate degree in electric power systems engineering. He now has a successful career working for General Electric as a salesman, as well as a budding private consulting business.

“Electricity has always been fascinating to me, how something so simple can illuminate so much. The same is true with knowledge. If you can make things a bit clearer, if you can expose people to true knowledge, they can find out the rest for themselves. I’ve always looked to illuminate this path.”

This is Jerome’s goal with his new book, “Calling on the Deep: The Believer’s Quest for Revival,” where he aims to challenge the status quo, and encourage people to re-evaluate their relationship with their faith.

Although he himself once knew the very depths of lack and uncertainty, Jerome emphasizes that material wealth is not the ultimate goal: “We are more than just wealth itself. Wealth for the sake of being wealthy is meaningless. What is important to me is speaking to people about the truth of human potential. I know without a shadow of a doubt, that we have unlimited potential, and can do whatever we set our hearts to.”

Publisher Lisa M. Umina adds, “This author has a powerful perspective to share. His message is relevant not only for the Nigerian audience but for the world.”

For more information about Jerome N. Okoye visit www.halopublishing.com. “Calling on the Deep” is now available at Halo Publishing International, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, and Books a Million in Paperback for $14.95, and as an e-Book for $9.99.

Social-Emotional Learning an Indispensable Component of Childhood Development, Education Professionals Affirm

Special Education professionals, Jessica Tukaj and Amanda Derrick, are working to facilitate positive change within an education system that works on a “one size fits all” model.

San Antonio, TX, USA, June 9, 2018 —Special Education professionals, Jessica Tukaj and Amanda Derrick, are working to facilitate positive change within an education system that works on a “one size fits all” model.

Standardized testing has been on the rise since 2002 when the No Child Left Behind act was passed. But these kinds of standardized tests have been shown to cause extreme stress in younger students, and it has not increased student achievement, with US ranking dropping in math and science according to the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).

“With the continued raising of standards, children are facing more pressure in the school system than arguably ever before. Many children feel they do not fit into this mold and expected time frame. It’s important for students and parents to recognize that all students will develop in their own way and in their own time,” Derrick affirms.

For both Derrick and Tukaj, these conversations about school systems and different educational models date back to when they studied Special Education together at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Now, as professionals working in the field, these concerns are apparent in the workplace and beyond. “We need to look at the whole child including their social-emotional development, which is a big part of what we think is lacking in the school system. There’s so much more to a child than if they can read by the age of five or write cursive by the time they’re in third grade.”

On a personal note, Derrick adds, “We both have unique kids. They are great and amazing children, however we have learned as parents they do things in their own time and in their own way just like so many other children do, and that’s okay.”

To tackle these issues, the two women decided to team-up to create a children’s book that presents a new perspective, teaching children the value of being a unique individual. “There is a lack of knowledge and resources addressing social-emotional development, which is why we decided to create this book,” says Tukaj. “Our goal is to provide tools for parents and teachers to start developing these skills with their children.”

Teaching social-emotional skills as well as science lessons, “These books are not only fun and engaging for children, but they present an essential message to educators and parents alike about the type of messages they need to be instilling in children,” comments publisher Lisa M. Umina.
