HTC Desire S To Start Selling From March 21, 2011

The HTC Desire S, if things go according to plan, will be among the first few smart phones to hit the market place this March. It is now only a matter of days before tempting HTC Desire S contracts and other HTC Desire S deals start luring customers all over the UK.

If there was any one smart phone handset that created the maximum levels of excitement at the recently happened Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, then it has to be the revamped HTC Desire S. Well, it does seem like potential buyers need not wait for long before they get to buy this fantastic phone device from the Taiwanese mobile phone giant. The handset is all set for a March 2011 release itself. Though it will take slightly more time for the network service providers to get their acts together and start selling the Desire S on their own. In other words, it will roughly take about a month’s time from now for value for money HTC Desire S contracts and other HTC Desire S deals.

Unlocked Mobiles.com have officially announced that they will start selling the new HTC Desire S in the mobile phone market place in the UK from March 21, 2011 onwards. The initial unlocked, SIM free price of the new handset from HTC is fixed at £ 435. Since it is an upgraded and enhanced version of the phone of the year 2010, the original Desire, comparisons are bound to be there. Well, but for the dazzlingly beautiful AMOLED touchscreen, the Desire S has all the other bases come out in a more improved fashion.

Besides the Android 2.3 Gingerbread version of the operating system, HTC has given the Desire S the 1 GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon to drive it along. The Desire S will have not one but two camera devices fitted into it. The five mega pixel camera with LED flash option and another more basic 1.3 mega pixel snapper at the rear. The 3.7 inches wide S LCD capacitive touchscreen will make life look more attractive than it is. Touch sensitive controls, multi touch inputs, and the presence of the HTC Sense User Interface v3.0 make it that much more resourceful a handset to have. The wait is only for another week or so before the network service providers will get into the thick of action and have a decent set of HTC Desire S contract as well as other HTC Desire S deals in the market place here.
