Cellcast launches MyTV – India’s first Social TV channel

Cellcast Interactive, India’s first interactive media company announced the launch of its new platform – MyTV, ushering in the first social TV channel in India. All the interactive programming on MyTV will be free of ad breaks and the content will be created uniquely such that brands are integrated into it. MyTV, a free to air channel, is a path-breaking venture by Pankaj Thakar and funded by Canaan Partners & Vertex Venture Holdings being the first ever fully interactive channel in India. MyTV will bring about interactivity across three platforms – television, internet (including social media platforms) and mobile. Viewers participating in any show will be able to see interactions from other mediums as well in real time – giving a complete social experience.

MyTV will feature more than 20 hours of programming with shows like Bid2Win, My Studio, The Big Deal, Chor Machaye Shor, Laughter Tambola, Glitter Mania, Gold Safe, Cricket Howzatt, One2Many, among others. MyTV has signed on prominent names like Aman Verma, Swapnil Joshi and Sudha Chandran to host some of its properties. The company is also exploring the possibility of collaborating with leading names from the independent music scene to identify and mentor talent on its MyStudio show. Some consumer facing brands have been in talks with MyTV to leverage their platform to reach out to new customers using MyTV’s interactive platform spanning the web, TV and mobile.

MyTV will be available across the western, eastern and northern belts of the country. MyTV would reach over 35 million analog/ digital homes including multiple DTH platforms in the first phase itself. The channel aims at reaching out to varied audiences in the 15+ age group. BAG Network, will be the official distribution partner of Cellcast’s MyTV, especially across the Hindi speaking belt in India.

With a change in the profile of the television audience over the last few years there has been a shift in the way the younger audience wants to interact with content they see on television. Planning For Effective Internet Marketing

Web marketing isn’t necessarily the simplist thing to do. With so many options at your disposal there is one component that is critical…that cannot be overlooked. There is one critical key to effective network marketing that far too many people overlook. So, what is it that they don’t do? They fail to make a plan. To be fair, a lot of internet marketers believe they have a plan, but saying “I’m going to make some money” is not a plan.

Certainly, that’s one of the primary reasons why franchises are so prevalent. They present a very detailed procedure for just about every aspect of handling a business. But we are talking about web marketing, not a traditional brick and mortar business. So, what you really need for effective internet marketing is a reliable business marketing plan.

Let’s be brief, creating a business plan is going to take time and effort. Without one, however, you will be wandering indiscriminately through your business and bringing in money in a way that’s too hit or miss. You may do fair without one, but you won’t see your full profit potential unless you have a business plan in place. If you want your venture to be a hobby, then that’s up to you; conceivably then you don’t really need a plan.

Your plan is a road map to help you distinguish and reach your objectives. A good way to start your business plan is to think of where you want to end up, then start working backwards from there. What steps will you have to take? How much will you make? How will you make it? How much will you invest? What marketing campaigns will you use to promote your online business? Answering questions like these will help you make an useful plan.

The questions you ask are important. Try to think of as many aspects of your business as you can. And when answering, be as definite and distinct as you can. In fact, if you find you are giving vague answers, take that as a sign that you need to give your business plan for effective internet marketing more ideation.

Once you have asked and answered the necessary questions, it’s time to start organizing your plan. Try to arrange things in a coherent way so they make more sense. Be as linear as possible. You should also separate your plan into short, medium and long term objectives. This will help you to stay on track as your business grows.

You should be ready to make revisions to your plan as needed. You must visualize that your business is going to expand, and you won’t be able to presume how things turn out with 100% accuracy. So you need to be able to recalibrate your plan if the situation warrants it. Remember, your business plan isn’t written in stone and is there to work for you, not against you.

As you can see, one of the keys to efficient web marketing is to have a business plan. It could be reasoned that if you don’t have such a plan, then you are destined to be adrift in a sea of competitiveness. If you are just doing this for a hobby, that’s fine, but if you want to make money like a real business, then you need to treat it like one.

New Player in the Market Will Compete with LinkedIn

Rumors have abounded about Masterseek.com’s professional profile site’s imminent introduction to the World Wide Web. Still under development, it boasts the world’s largest business database with over 145 million personal professional profiles from around the world—that’s more than LinkedIn which is currently estimated to have just over 125 million professional profiles.

What makes Masterseek’s profile database so competitive?

Masterseek is already the largest B2B search engine, with 40 million more businesses listed than the nearest competitor and growing at a faster pace. Masterseek.com’s service is free, like most similar databases. Where it differes is in its ability to allow businesses full control over their profile. In addition the actual search functions are more intuitve, with more accurate local results or global results if that is the user’s search preference.

This is what has attracted so many businesses, and so many professionals to the website. Upon launch Masterseek.com’s professional profile section is fully expected to perform as well as the business search portion of the site. It seems to be the natural evolution of a business search engine, that it should incorporate professional profiles as well. However other sites have not done so, at least not to this degree. There in lies the power of Masterseek, and why it is expected to replace LinkedIn at some point in the near future.

How will Masterseek’s professional profiles work?
Currently it is very similar to LinkedIn it looks like. As of now the primary difference is in the numbers. Masterseek already has more, and if past growth is any evidence it will soon be one of the new places to search for professionals. Masterseek’s site is also free and it gives users control over their own profile. It is expected to use Masterseek’s primary search engine application from the business listing side of the site. If so expect it to have faster, more complete, more specific and more accurate search functionality both locally or for any specified geographic search.

• It will use a different search platform, if it is the same as the Business Listings section it will be faster, more accurate and more comprehensive locally and globally.
• Listings will be 100% free.
• Those making a profile will have as much or more control to share information than those using LinkedIn.
