New Single “Tempted” to be Released on iTunes May 28th

Singer/songwriter Margo Rey today announced her newest single and latest cover of Squeeze’s 80’s track, “Tempted.”

Los Angeles, CA, May 14, 2013 – Singer/songwriter Margo Rey today announced her newest single and latest cover of Squeeze’s 80’s track, “Tempted.” After several male renditions of the British rock band’s piece, Margo decided to turn the tables with an updated pop/R&B female version of the classic tune.

“Tempted” brings out a smooth vibe while still displaying Margo’s very own melodic flair. The single will be available for radio adds starting on May 13th and available for a US digital release on iTunes May 28th.

“When I was approached about doing a cover for my next single, I knew immediately that “Tempted” was the song I wanted to sing and re-arrange as an homage to this very talented band, Squeeze which actually had 3 different singers in the song Glenn Tilbrook, Chris Difford, & Paul Carrack,” states Margo on her thoughts of the making of “Tempted. “I had a fantastic time producing it with my dear friend and collaborator, Barrett Yeretsian.  I am so thankful to Squeeze for writing and recording an unforgettable song that has been my “Habit” to sing for years.”

Following her latest release, “Habit” and in the midst of battling breast cancer, Margo hasn’t stopped pursuing her music. She received much recognition after performing at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for a special one night event benefitting The Noreen Fraser Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on raising funds for women’s cancer research. Her husband and stand up comedian, Ron White, stood by her side as he hosted the event.

In her latest album “Habit,” Margo put together a variety of organic sounds with every bit of emotion put into each song. The Indie Music Digest says, “Her musical/vocal style is cut from the cloth of Celine Dion, Bonnie Raitt and Shania Twain.” – but I will add she can go toe to toe with any of them vocally.

Working in the music business since she was only eleven years old, Margo continues to provide an array of rich vocals with smooth tunes and funky beats as showcased in her latest single.

Tugging on his fans heartstrings, Brandon lays it all on the table with this deep ballad “Goodbye” which is now available on iTunes. Brandon McHose encompasses the word “multi-tasker” as he continues to tour, promote his recent EP, and prepare for his next EP release set for 2013. Somewhere in his busy schedule he found time to give his fans another single and music video which certainly lives up to his highly regarded reputation. Earlier this year Hellhound Music called Brandon “a bit of an anomaly, equally adept in finger-picking an acoustic guitar or in spanning the breadth and array of music”. Indie Music Digest states “the guitar work from McHose is masterful”. Not taking the kind words lightly Brandon says that it is his goal to continue to surprise his already loyal fans.

Teaming up with fellow musicians Chris Maresh, Wayne Salzmann and David Boyle, Brandon recalls the recording session as relaxing, comfortable and a great place to produce something he is proud of. Taking in the large ceilings, the vintage gear, and the musical energy of previous artists who have recorded there including Gavin Degraw and Justin Timberlake, Brandon was able to create “Goodbye” in just two days. He recalls the two days of recording by referencing the positive vibes of his band mates as well as the feel of an old historic church as the combination that created a touch so magical and special that is embedded into the recording.

A combination of blissful pop and rock guitar riffs and the emotional lyrics behind “Goodbye to You” make the track a memorizing ballad. Drawing the lyrics and emotion behind the song from a personal experience Brandon channels the energy into soaring vocals and hypnotizing harmonies. Shooting the newest video in the Church House Studios shows the more softer side of McHose, with the simple white walls and high vaulted ceilings the video showcases the music and the artist. Countering the deeper emotions of the song, the video has a refreshing feeling with light, space and positive energy. Stripping away the show aspects that often inundate the music industry, McHose shows his fanbase how his music is truly created.

2012 has been a monumental year for Brandon McHose. With the release of Brandon’s EP, “Late Night”, resulted in success from radio, extensive touring opportunities nationwide and industry professionals raving about his latest recordings.
