2011 Statistics Confirm that Botox Training Helps Physicians Capture Industry’s 5% Growth

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 18, 2012) — The IAPAM offers physicians aesthetic training, the leading botox ® training, hCG training, and associated aesthetic medicine education (including training on lasers for skin rejuvenation and hair removal, medical microdermabrasion and medical grade chemical peels). The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium offers the most comprehensive medical spa training, including: hands on, live demonstration and didactic instruction in all 5 of the top non-invasive procedures and offers unparalleled business support to physicians as they build successful aesthetic medical practices and capture the reported 5% growth in the minimally-invasive market in 2011.

“With these economic times, more people are turning to the more inexpensive non-invasive procedures rather than surgical cosmetic procedures. They may not get the long term benefits of a face lift, but with a combination treatment of Botox ® and dermal fillers, then can get a great result at a fraction of the price,” says Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (http://www.iapam.com). As evidenced in 2011 statistical reports, patients agree. In the recent report from The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), minimally-invasive procedures increased for the second year in a row by 5 percent in 2011, with nearly 13.8 million procedures being performed, and “minimally-invasive procedures increased 6 percent, with nearly 12.2 million procedures in 2011.”

As in 2010, in 2011, the top five minimally-invasive procedures were:

• Botulinum toxin type A (5.7 million procedures, up 5 percent)
• Soft tissue fillers (1.9 million procedures, up 7 percent)
• Chemical peel (1.1 million procedures, down 3 percent)
• Laser hair removal (1.1 million procedures, up 15 percent)
• Microdermabrasion (900,000 procedures, up 9 percent)

“We are seeing notable increases in surgical procedures, such as facelifts, that reflect the demands of an aging boomer population,” said Dr. Malcolm Z. Roth, President of the ASPS. “However, the overall growth in cosmetic procedures is being primarily driven by a substantial rise in minimally-invasive procedures.”

Jeff Russell concurs with the findings of the aforementioned report. “We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox ® and other cosmetic injectables, medically supervised hCG weight loss (http://www.hcgtraining.com) as well as laser training, microdermabrasion and chemical peels are in tremendous demand by patients, and we are seeing a correlating increase in the demand for our training. Registration for our cornerstone training program, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox ® Training (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com), has steadily increased in the last 6 months. Physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox ® treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Organizations, like the IAPAM, educate physicians on how to package these treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes.”

In line with these findings, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium provides a forum for physicians to immerse themselves in training on these top 5 minimally invasive procedures. Leading the faculty is a team of renowned cosmetic dermatologists who cover aesthetic patient consultations, facial anatomy & musculature, product preparation, pain management, procedural protocols, post treatment issues and continuing practice support. Unlike other programs, the Botox ® Training is done in a clean, multi-million dollar medical facility, not a hotel room chair. Physicians who have completed the IAPAM’s hCG Training, Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or Aesthetic Practice Business Start-Up training have a competitive advantage.

For more information on the IAPAM’s upcoming Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or hCG Training, please see http://www.iapam.com or contact the IAPAM at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 704.

IHOP 2012 National Pancake Day to Benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children

Feb. 28: enjoy free pancakes and help Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Tampa, FL, February 18, 2012 — On Feb. 28, The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) will celebrate National Pancake Day by offering guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes*. With every short stack of pancakes served, diners will be invited to make a donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children®. The IHOP restaurants that have chosen Shriners Hospitals for Children as the beneficiary of this event are primarily located in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.

Texas Governor Rick Perry and first lady Anita Perry expressed their support of National Pancake Day and the efforts of Shriners International, the fraternity that founded and continues to support Shriners Hospitals for Children. “I commend everyone involved in making this event a reality. I know you will all enjoy your free IHOP pancakes, and I hope you will also all give generously to assist the Shriners in helping even more children,” wrote Gov. Perry.

The restaurant chain has set an ambitious goal of raising $2.7 million in this one-day event, which will take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to raising funds, the campaign will raise awareness of Shriners Hospitals for Children, a 22-hospital health care system – founded by the Shriners International fraternity – that provides children with the best available pediatric specialty care regardless of the ability to pay for services. Nearly 1 million children have benefited from the unique approach to health care offered by Shriners Hospitals for Children, and gone on to live happy, fulfilled lives.

“We appreciate the efforts of IHOP to bring people together for an enjoyable meal and time together on behalf of Shriners Hospitals for Children,” said Douglas E. Maxwell, president and CEO of Shriners Hospitals for Children. “The opportunity to spread awareness and raise funds provided by IHOP for our incredible health care system is greatly appreciated, and we are hoping for tremendous success and support from the communities involved.”

Everyone loves pancakes – and children – celebrate them both on National Pancake Day by visiting your local IHOP restaurant and donating to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Artist Russell Rowland Now Light Space & Time’s Featured Artist

Artist Russell Rowland is now the gallery’s featured artist and he will be showcased on their website for the next 30 days.

Jupiter, Florida – February 18, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that artist Russell Rowland is now the gallery’s featured artist and he will be showcased on their website for the next 30 days.

Russell Rowland is a freelance art photographer based in the New York City area. Russ began his creative career as a successful executive in the public relations field, where he specialized in providing PR services to consumer and high-tech companies. After a flourishing career in marketing, Russ reinvented himself and embarked on a career as a professional photographer. Russ always had a love for images, as a little boy he would spend hours looking through his parent’s art books mesmerized by paintings of all kinds.

Russell states about his photography “I constantly slip and refer to photographs of as paintings, which isn’t surprising because I see myself less as a photographer and more as an image maker. I believe that distinction frees me to put the end image before any concerns about capturing or staying within the bounds of “reality.” The only exception is when I am shooting documentary or journalistic subjects like theater productions or Occupy Wall Street.”

As his website states about Russ’s work “I photograph the things that I cannot paint or put into words.” He is one of the Founding Members of the Melting Shot Photo Collective. This creative group was formed by 5 dedicated photographers who live, work and play in different places around the globe.

Take some time to look at Russell Rowland’s bright, imaginative and thought provoking portfolio at http://www.rrsnapshop.com.

IAPAM Reports that Botox Training Remains Popular

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 17, 2012) — The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums train physicians on how to safely, profitably and successfully add botox ®, hCG for weight loss, and other aesthetic modalities (lasers for skin rejuvenation, medical microdermabrasion and medical-grade chemical peels) to an existing medical practice. The IAPAM helps physicians enter this lucrative market by offering the industry’s best botox ® training and hCG training. To date, all of the 2011 and the January 2012 Aesthetic Medicine Symposium events have sold out.

Since 2006, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com) has offered physicians a competitive advantage through its comprehensive, hands-on, immersion into the field of aesthetic medicine and cosmetic injectables. The IAPAM’s (http://www.iapam.com) Symposium with Botox Training, is the only program which gives physicians a hands-on opportunity to learn from two board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables. In order to ensure physicians learn the best injection techniques, the botox ® training is done in a medical practice, not in a hotel room chair. In addition, the Symposium does not allow exhibitors, giving physicians more time for education.

Physicians who attend the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium can revisit their educational experience by using the IAPAM’s 19 comprehensive training DVDs. The 3 clinical DVDs offers focused instruction and demonstrations on Botulinum Toxin (Botox ®) Injection Techniques, Dermal Filler Injection Techniques, Chemical Peel Techniques, and Microdermabrasion Techniques. These DVDs cover three key anti-aging treatment areas:

1. Botulinum Toxin for Cosmetic Patients lecture.
2. Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers for Cosmetic Patients – live demonstration.
3. Chemical Peel and Microdermabrasion live demonstration of techniques.

Equally, Symposium attendees receive 16 Cosmetic Practice training DVDs. These resources allow physicians and their staff to re-immerse themselves in the IAPAM’s training, at their convenience.

The popularity of the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium is consistent with the demand by physicians for expert and accredited cosmetic injectables training. Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM has witnessed the tremendous growth of minimally-invasive modalities. “We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox ®, dermal fillers as well as microdermabrasion continue to grow in demand by patients, and we are seeing a correlating increase in attendance at our Symposium with botox ® training. Moreover, physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox ® treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, and organizations like the IAPAM educate physicians and their staff on how to package treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes.”

For additional information and to register for an upcoming Aesthetic Medicine Symposium (March 3-4, 2012), please contact the IAPAM at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 704, info@theiapam.com or visit http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com

Social JobWorking Site offers Hints for Jobseekers

Jobosabe.com Recommends Locking Down Your Social Networking Profile.

Austin, Texas (February 17, 2012) — Jobosabe.com (pronounced Jah-Bo-Sah-Bee) ,the first locally focused “social jobworking” website, is launching a new program to educate job seekers on the proper way to position themselves on the web. The company recommends that candidates “lock down” their various social networking profiles to friends and family only.

“The biggest mistake that a job seeker can make today is to leave their social profiles open to potential employers. They cannot control what their “friends” post and often times innocent photos can be misunderstood, costing the candidate a job.” Noted Carl Braun co-founder and CEO of parent company Cross-Post LLC. “With jobs being at a premium these days you simply cannot afford to make a mistake you’ll likely never even know about. You just won’t get the job.” He added.

Jobosabe.com recommends the following:

1. Create a job profile summary on Jobosabe.com Its easy and free! Do NOT include your address, email or phone number or any other personal info. We’ll insert a link where employers can learn more about you or send you a DM to request additional info and resume.
2. Lock down your Facebook page for friends and family only. You can do that in the privacy settings.
3. Direct Employers to your Jobosabe.com profile summary.
4. Keep your summary employment related. Here’s a sample:
Hint: Avoid religious or political affiliations or any organization that may be considered controversial. Employers need not know your religious preference and specifying a political affiliation might work against you. Let employers judge you on your BFOQ (Bona fide Occupational Qualifications) and NOT your weekend activities.
5. Conduct a search for your name on “google” and see what shows up on the first or second page. if there is anything embarrassing do what you can to get it removed or consider pushing it off the first two pages by getting positive mentions on popular websites.
6. Use the Jobosabe.com blogging tools to write articles about your area of expertise. They will get you good PR on the web and employers will be impressed with your writing skills and subject knowledge.
7. Become a Talent Community Leader on Jobosabe.com in one of our many communities like Veterans, Green, or various Diversity focused Groups. If you don’t see one in your area of interest, START ONE! We give you the free tools. Connect with your local newspaper through their talent community as well.

Forest Carbon Partners funding scheme wins support of FRA

News of the new Forest Carbon Partners forestry investment scheme from New Forests Inc. has won the support of FRA, which analyses various forms of forestry investment project.

Seattle, United States, February 17, 2012 — News of the new Forest Carbon Partners forestry investment scheme from New Forests Inc. has won the support of Forestry Research Associates (FRA), which analyses various forms of forestry investment project.

Forest Carbon Partners is an investment vehicle that offers funding for carbon offsetting projects in California. The fund helps to manage these projects and deliver revenue to landowners.

Among the first projects it is involved with is a scheme to develop forestry carbon offsets over 11,000 acres in the West of the US. The scheme sees it partner with a Native American tribe and a family who own the forest in the area.

The project is intended to help finance a total of 100,000 acres of forestry carbon offset schemes, which will generate returns for land owners, as well as increasing natural habitats and absorbing large qualities of CO2.

FRA is a research and analysis consultancy that specialises in forestry investment projects. It supports investment projects in developing countries, as well as carbon offsetting schemes all over the world.

The Forest Carbon Partner is one such project, and its managing director, David Brand commented: “As the California carbon market comes online, New Forests believes that forest carbon projects will become a critical source of offset supply.

“Forest Carbon Partners brings together a sophisticated understanding of both forestry and carbon markets to meet the demand for high-quality carbon credits that ensure important co-benefits for family forest landowners and the environment.”

FRA also supports schemes such as the renewable plantations run by Greenwood Management in Brazil and Canada. These projects help to reduce the reliance on natural forests by providing alternative non-native forests, which are managed in a sustainable way.

FRA’s Peter Collins, said, “We welcome the New Forests project as it will help to boost carbon sequestration in one of the world’s most high impact regions, in terms of CO2 emissions.”

Experts Connection Webinar Helps Recruiters Unlock LinkedIn to Find the Ideal Candidate

Recruiting Expert Jim Durbin Shares Secrets of Social Media Success for Job Search in “LinkedIn: Basic Training for Recruiting”.

NOVATO, Calif. (February 15, 2011) — Social media has become a mainstream tool for recruiters, especially LinkedIn, but many search professionals only have a rudimentary understanding of how to best use LinkedIn to identify and qualify the right job candidates. Drawing from his expertise as a social media headhunter, Jim Durbin will explain the core principles of using social media for recruiting in an Experts Connection (http://www.experts-connection.com) webinar entitled, “LinkedIn: Basic Training for Recruiting.” This recruiters’ webinar for novice and intermediate social media users is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. ET, (1:00 – 2:30 p.m. PT), and is sponsored by NETSHARE® (http://www.netshare.com).

Recruiters are increasingly relying on the crowdsourcing and reach of social media platforms to uncover the most talented professionals, and LinkedIn has become their first online stop when seeking out candidates. LinkedIn now has more than 110 million professional profiles, including executives from every Fortune 500 company, which makes it a perfect resource for recruiters. Some companies are filling 25 percent of their open reqs using LinkedIn, and one company is filling 60 percent.

In this webinar, Jim will offer practical, step-by-step instruction explaining how to get the most from LinkedIn. Drawing from his experience training Human Resources departments for Fortune 500 companies, Jim will offer hands-on instruction into the best strategies for getting fast candidate search results from LinkedIn, including what a profile should contain what to look for, and how recruiters are shortening time-to-fill using LinkedIn.

Jim will provide point-by-point instruction that will apply to both independent and corporate recruiters, including:
– How to build your own social network to improve your time-to-fill;
– Connection strategies for novice recruiters;
– How to create a profile that gets the right candidates to ask YOU for a connection;
– Three ways to craft social media messages that generate the right response;
– Search skills that work both within LinkedIn and on other social media platforms; and
– How to find candidates outside your network of visible connections.

“Those executives looking for new career opportunities or who are simply trying to expand their sphere of professional influence are on LinkedIn, which makes it the most powerful online destination for recruiters,” said Katherine Simmons, CEO of NETSHARE and host of the Experts Connection webinars. “However, LinkedIn has become so expansive that it has become harder to navigate. It takes skill to identify those professionals with the ideal skillset to meet your recruiting needs. Through his experience with social media and human resources, Jim has become a master at using LinkedIn to find the right candidates, and this webinar will certainly offer new tips and techniques for every recruiting professional.”

The cost of the Experts Connection seminar is $100, and access is provided via web and telephone. A web archive also is available for registrants. For more information, visit the Experts Connection online at http://www.experts-connection.com.
