Kwame Binea Shakedown to Release

Self-Titled Debut EP on July 16, 2015

New York, NY, July 15, 2015 – Harlem-based roots rock songwriter/singer Kwame Binea, who fronts the Kwame Binea Shakedown, has announced the worldwide digital release of the group’s debut and self-titled EP on Tuesday, July 17, 2015 via CDbaby.com and all their major digital distribution partners including iTunes and Amazon.com.

Kwame Binea Shakedown” features four tracks including the group’s first single “Let Go” (released in early April), their most recent single, “Hang On” (released in mid-June) and “Little Lady” and “Waiting,” which have never been released. Musically, the EP showcases Binea’s “roots rock” lineage, which is a fusion of rhythmic rock n’ roll, ample dosages of infectious funk, silky soul, screaming blues and just a smidgeon of reggae and funk.

All the songs were written and produced by Binea and guitarist Justin Wilcox for Binea’s indie imprint, Pelopos Entertainment Group. The EP was co-produced by Jerry Ramos and the Shakedown Band. The Shakedown band comprises; Binea on lead vocals, guitarist’s Justin Wilcox and Art Vanterpool, drummer Medley Shabazz, bassist Phil Bass, Daron Wright on keyboards, Kengo Yamada and Michael Quigley on saxophone, Brian Varneke on trumpet and guest background vocalist’s Dietrice Bolden and Jindai Joseph. The EP was recorded at SST Studios, Kaleidscope Studios and Mercury Studios, all located in New Jersey.

Binea and Wilcox have been intermittingly writing, recording and performing the songs over the past several years. “We’ve always viewed ourselves primarily as a live band” explained Kwame. “As writers, we’re fueled by how our fans and audiences react to our songs. We take that energy and feedback back into the studio and do our best to channel it into the songs we decide to record. This EP means a lot to us because it’s driven by all the love and positivity our fans keep giving us. It’s our way of expressing our appreciation and thanks for all their inspiration and support,” he added.

Binea, grew up splitting time in West London (his birth place) and in his native origins, Ghana. He later moved to Cherry Hill, NJ as a teenager where he started to unearth his artistic aspirations as a burgeoning songwriter/singer/guitarist. While in college he teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Justin Wilcox as a duo, which became the nucleus that spawned the rock/funk collective Kwame Binea Shakedown in Harlem, NY (2011). Over the past several years they have built a legion of loyal fans performing at most of the city’s most noted music venues including Joe’s Pub, Arlene Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall and Brooklyn Bowl, to name just a few.

Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity Misunderstood

Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity does NOT describe the actual mechanics of the universe! Einstein himself said so. SPACE LATTICE THEORY by Bruce Nappi finally explains why. The entire world of science needs to admit their 100+ year mistake.

Jacksonville, FL, July 20, 2015 – In 1905, Einstein published a paper now called the Special Theory of Relativity. His purpose was to show that the concept, popular at the time, that the speed of light is CONSTANT for EACH OBSERVER, was nonsense. We know this because Einstein repeatedly said so. In fact, according to Auffray, Einstein destroyed his manuscript shortly after his paper appeared in print. But the press, and influential scientists, intent on defending their hasty misinterpretation of the Michelson-Morley experiment, supported the “constancy of light” concept and led the physics community in conforming to it. This mistake has misled science for over 100 years. It requires denying many inconsistencies and creating absurdly complex theories to explain them. How about a 20 dimensional universe, the size of a pinhead, which magically appeared out of nowhere? Space Lattice Theory finally explains many of the puzzles of physics with simple visual explanations and no relativistic handwaving!

So how can Lattice Theory explain what Einstein did not? In Space Lattice Theory, Bruce Nappi provides a theoretical exploration for an entirely new foundation for the universe. This new foundation describes how matter, energy, force at a distance, space and time can be explained by one single principle – the Grand Unification. Nappi, an engineer and Director of the A3 Research Institute, has written a comprehensive and very readable paper that explains the fundamental structure of the universe with a new model that does not require any major changes to the traditional laws of physics. Rather than just providing formulas, Space Lattice Theory explains what causes matter, energy, gravity and electro-magnetics and supports the explanations with graphics that depict the principles involved. It explains the Big Bang, and how it happened in a simple 3-D universe, with no requirement to abandon the conventional concepts of physics. It finally answers puzzles like the particle-wave nature of photons, what causes time, why it always goes forward, and what produces “cause and effect”. But most important, the Theory actually listened to what Einstein said. Einstein presented Relativity as an INDIRECT proof – also known as proof by CONTRADICTION. He wanted to show how bizarre the universe and physics would become if “constant with respect to each observer” was taken as a premise. Unfortunately, nobody got the right message.

Space Lattice Theory starts with the principle that space is actually NOT mostly empty. Instead, it is densely packed with a very small object called an “Aa”. The Aas arrange themselves as a structured Lattice. That is, space is more like a crystal than an empty void. Due to major disruptions that occur periodically over the eons of time, very small defects scientists call “dislocations” occur throughout the lattice. It is these defects that create what we call matter. The major disruptions are what we call Big Bangs! In short, the structure of the universe is exactly opposite of what our intuition tells us: space is solidly packed, and matter is due to voids! Space Lattice Theory explains how matter travels through space, and explains how it converts into energy and back again. To make all of this easy for the non-scientist reader to understand, these explanations are done without mathematical equations. Pictures are provided that show what Aas might actually look like and how they behave. The descriptions explain all the objects and forces in the universe, including what causes forces at a distance like gravity, and nuclear, electric and magnetic fields. And in a real breakthrough, Space Lattice Theory provides a model for Grand Unification, describing how all of these behaviors can be caused by the single principle of the Aa.

Diabetic Cooking Never Tasted So Good

Author Matthew W. Miller’s newly released cookbook, “Over Coming Obstacles in Diabetic Cooking” is special because it is written by someone who knows the challenges of diabetic cooking with a disability.

Fredericksburg, VA (USA), July 15th, 2015 — When you live with diabetes, you quickly realize your immediate family lives with it, too. Author Matthew W. Miller’s newly released cookbook, “Over Coming Obstacles in Diabetic Cooking” is special because it is written by someone who knows the challenges of diabetic cooking with a disability. Think you cannot manage diabetes and cook due to a disability or have never cooked before? Think again! Matthew has gathered favorite recipes from friends and family that are easy, simple, taste wonderful and user friendly.

“Having diabetes can feel overwhelming, then you layer this with a disability and cooking seems impossible. I have a disability (cerebral palsy) and I wanted to write a cookbook that makes cooking feel easy and include tips for overcoming obstacles such as exercising by walking up and down stairs or how to remember the difference between low and high blood sugar quickly,” says Matthew. “One of the best ways to help manage diabetes is to know where you can go for more information and help. This is why I included a diabetic resource list at the end of the cookbook.”

In “Over Coming Obstacles in Diabetic Cooking” (published by Halo Publishing International), Matthew shares some irresistible family recipes, all of which are kid-friendly and simple to follow. His hope is to encourage people despite having a disability that excurse and eating healthy is possible without having to join a gym or hire a dietitian.

“I wrote my second cookbook Over Coming Obstacles in Diabetic Cooking as a tribute to my late father, Wayne O. Miller, and for all those dealing with diabetes,” says Matthew. “My father encouraged me to exercise and lose weight, and to make this a life-long goal.”

Matthew also advises those with a disability to start making recipes with the fewest number of ingredients. “People with disabilities might need more time to learn how to cook and will probably make a lot of mistakes when cooking something. Just remember it is okay,” says Matthew. “Also, to help prevent diabetes it is important to learn about healthy eating and exercise early in life, and this is something I talk about at the beginning of my book. My hope is to keep people from never giving up on excurse and cooking.”

“Over Coming Obstacles in Diabetic Cooking” not only has some of Matthew’s favorite recipes, but also those of family and friends. The goal of this unique cookbook is to let people know they are not alone in overcoming obstacles in their lives when cooking and living a healthy lifestyle. “Together we can combat diabetes,” says Matthew.

“There really isn’t a cookbook that helps those with a disability,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina. “Not to mention a cookbook that can also be used by parents with children who have diabetes. Matthew W. Miller has written a cookbook that does all this and so much more. He definitely embodies a person with determination and has overcome many obstacles in his life, including getting his master’s degree despite having cerebral palsy.”

You can purchase “Over Coming Obstacles in Diabetic Cooking” through Halo Publishing’s website (http://halopublishing.com) and Amazon. Also available through major distribution.

Biography:
Matthew W. Miller has mild cerebral palsy. It took him longer to learn to cook. He currently works as a sales associate at Wal-Mart. Before that, he was a cashier. He has also worked as a special education teacher, teacher assistant and substitute teacher. He is a graduate of Culpeper County High School and earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in education from Germanna Community College. He has a BS degree in special education and an MA degree in human relations. During college, he volunteered his time as a peer academic adviser, a student grader and gave presentations on transition planning in special education and test-taking strategies. Like his mom did, he likes to bake desserts.

The All Stars Project Inspires Hip-Hop Artist Lecrae

Two-Time Grammy® Winner Mentors Inner City Youth at National Non-Profit Dedicated to Transforming Lives Through the Developmental Power of Performance.

New York, NY, USA (July 14, 2015) — Grammy® Award-winning hip-hop artist Lecrae‘s visit to the 42nd Street headquarters of the All Stars Project last year – to meet and mentor the inner city young people engaged in the organization – turned into so much more than expected. The All Stars Project has released a video of Lecrae’s inspiring visit. Produced by Diane Mayer in partnership with MTV, the video can be viewed at: https://youtu.be/cG5UjPW04N4.

A privately funded national nonprofit organization founded in 1981, the All Stars Project transforms the lives of youth and poor communities using the developmental power of performance, in partnership with caring adults. The All Stars Project involves over 10,000 young people every year in its afterschool programs in six cities across the country.

In a conversation facilitated by Antoine Joyce, Senior Program Manager/Development Officer for the All Stars Project Dallas, Lecrae shared that growing up he turned to hip-hop to find purpose, but instead found a lifestyle that included gang life, drugs and alcohol. After turning his own life around, he is now known for his music and outreach to inner-city youth. Lecrae has sold over two million albums, and his latest, Anomaly, debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 and across several other sales charts as well.

The All Stars youth in attendance then introduced themselves to Lecrae and spoke about their personal experiences and hardships growing up. They shared how life-changing their involvement in the All Stars Project has been, and let Lecrae know that his music supported their choice to be positive and move forward.

Afterward, Lecrae said of his participation, “I was brought out to inspire, but left inspired.”

Space Lattice Theory a Grand Unification of Physics

Space Lattice Theory presents a radically new theory of the universe that describes how matter, energy, force at a distance, space and time can be explained by one single principle – a Grand Unification. Many cosmic puzzles are finally explained.

Jacksonville, FL, July 12, 2015 – Space Lattice Theory, a scientific paper by Bruce Nappi, presents a radically new theoretical explanation for the foundation of the universe. This new foundation envisions the universe as a densely packed crystal-like Lattice and describes how matter, energy, force at a distance, space and time can be explained by that one single principle – a Grand Unification.

Nappi, an aerospace engineer and Director of the A3 Research Institute, has written a comprehensive paper that proposes a completely new structure for the universe. Rather than being mostly an empty void, the universe is densely packed with one small object called an “Aa”, which forms a crystal-like LATTICE that is infinite in size. Matter and energy move through the Lattice like dislocations and energy move through solid materials. The new model produces behaviors generally consistent with the conventional principles of physics. No complex math is needed to understand them. However, the new theory provides amazingly simple solutions to many of the current big puzzles of physics, and does so without the need to change the traditional laws of physics as current theories do. And, rather than being just a collection of mathematics, Space Lattice Theory explains what causes matter, energy, gravity, electro-magnetics and nuclear forces using simple figures. The paper is written without equations and is easily to read and understand by any reader.

Space Lattice Theory now provides simple but consistent explanations for all the major cosmic and nuclear questions of our time. For example, Big Bangs, which occur repeatedly, unfold in a simple, conventional 3-D universe without the need for singularities or to warp space. Big Bangs are, in fact, just like cosmic “space quakes”. As they open and then collapse, they create dislocations or bubbles in the Space Lattice. These are what we observe as matter. This explains how matter can appear to be created out of nothing, and also why an equal amount of antimatter is not observed. The theory presents new principles for Black Holes, showing why gravity can not exceed specific limits. It also describes how Black Holes convert matter back into natural Space Lattice, thereby reversing the process caused by Big Bangs. The theory suggests that photons play a major role in physics, and shows how they can come to rest, becoming what is called Dark Matter. The theory explains the duality of photons and explains how they convert mass to energy and back again. Using a new model for photons and electromagnetic waves, the microwave background is explained. And a final example, forces at a distance, in the form of gravity, electrostatics, magnetics and the nuclear forces are finally explained with tangible, visualizable principles, all being distinct wave fields in the physical Lattice.

Lattice Theory has profound implications for current research. It suggests that particle accelerator interpretations are very misleading. What we call “sub atomic particles”, for example, are not actually “sub” components of fundamental particles, but rather collision fragments. This is why they can come together, temporarily, into unstable forms with masses much higher than their parents. Lattice Theory would redefine particle accelerator research as new material research. Photons and light are considered distinct in Lattice Theory. By identifying new mechanisms for their energy loss during motion, Red Shift is given a new foundation directly related to distance traveled, independent of Doppler shift. This will force a reanalysis of most cosmic observations. A significant advantage provided by the theory is that most of its principles are directly testable, although requiring development of new types of instruments. The age old debate about the nature of light and the aether has finally been resolved and the misunderstanding of the Special Theory of Relativity that has lasted for so long can finally end.

The show presents a variety of songs from the popular traditions of Paris, including those of American songwriter Cole Porter; hence the title “C’est Magnifique!” a song from Cole Porter’s 1953 musical, Can-Can.

Dave Sturdevant’s harmonica brings a Toots Thielemans-style to the show, in addition to the gypsy sound of his swinging guitar.

French songs by Charles Trenet, Maxime LeForestier, Edith Piaf and Serge Gainsbourg round out the set list, and as ever, Lua’s fun and quirky stories provide her personalized bridge to the songs, whether you speak French or not.

Hadar is no stranger to France or French music, having just returned from teaching a master class in France on American Jazz Standards.

ABOUT TWIST:
Since its inception in 2007, Hadar’s cosmopolitan jazz ensemble TWIST has developed a multi-lingual world jazz fusion that twists the styles of international standards and brings new material into the jazz idiom.

Lua has charmed audiences from New York’s Iridium Jazz Club to Bangkok’s Thailand Cultural Center to the Swan Bar in Paris, where, on a return engagement, she previewed “C’est Magnifique!” to an enthusiastic full house before bringing it to San Francisco’s Society Cabaret for its first run in November 2013. The show was reprised last year and became a Society Cabaret tradition, presented each time with a different featured instrumentalist.

Hadar has released three CDs with Music Director Jason Martineau and Twist. The most recent, “Like A Bridge,” was recorded in 2012 as the centerpiece of her Bridges Project. The “Like A Bridge” DVD was nominated for an Independent Music Award and was released at Yoshi’s Jazz Club in Oakland in September of 2013 after its premiere at San Francisco’s Historic Balboa Theater.

“…such a lovely variety of songs from cabaret traditions of Paris (and beyond), that we might as well have been in a brick-walled basement room in the Quartier Latin.” – Talkin’ Broadway
