New Book Release – A Wild Spring in Yellowstone, by R. E. Janet

A Wild Spring in Yellowstone, by R. E. Janet, takes you on a photographic adventure into the wild and wonderful experience that is Yellowstone.

Lafayette, LA, USA (September 24, 2015) — R. E. Janet’s A Wild Spring in Yellowstone – The Flash Adventures Series, #1 follows John and his Labrador Retriever, Belle, into Yellowstone National Park whose many natural wonders and a few possible dangers can make for a thrilling adventure.

John is thrilled to be out west. He can’t wait to see the sights, hike the trails, and take pictures with his new camera. But on their first day in the park, everything changes in a flash. What happened?

John and Belle find out really quick that they aren’t alone. The beauty of this park has a dangerous side too. And what is up with this camera? Can they make it back safely, with the park teeming with wild animals? But how? What will they find…or…what will find them?

Back in 2008, I visited my first national park and became absolutely hooked! Since then, I’ve traveled to many national parks in the United States. I hope to see them all one day!

My family and I love to spend time outdoors and enjoy watching nature change with each passing season. I took up photography along the way, and now, I always have my camera ready. Because of our love of nature and the national parks, I became inspired to create The Flash Adventures Series. I hope you enjoy John and Belle’s adventures as they find out where photography will take them! Enjoy the Journey! R. E. Janet

I must say I enjoyed reading this it was an easy read and one that I would read again. ~Sean Talbot

A good book for children who are beginning to read chapter books. It gives just enough information about Yellowstone National Park to keep their interest without being dull or too overwhelming for them. ~Librarian at York County Public Library

New Book Encourages Couples to Celebrates Life Even When One of Them Has a Terminal Illness

The personal narrative of Don’t Stop Believing: Our Journey with Cancer, by Kasey Crawford Kellem is a remarkable memoir that shares her personal struggle, unconditional love for her husband Craig, and their losing battle against prostate cancer.

Cleveland, OH (USA), August 27th, 2015 — There’s more than one way to tell a sad story, but sharing a true story of love, hope, faith and the loss of a loved one to cancer can be painful, difficult and heart wrenching, as well as uplifting and encouraging. The personal narrative of Don’t Stop Believing: Our Journey with Cancer, by Kasey Crawford Kellem is a remarkable memoir that shares her personal struggle, unconditional love for her husband Craig, and their losing battle against prostate cancer.

“We loved, laughed and lived to the very end,” shared Kasey. “We didn’t give up on life just because of a grim outcome. Craig’s life touched many people from family, close friends and strangers who followed our journey through social media.”

In the memoir, Don’t Stop Believing: Our Journey with Cancer readers experience some of the uplifting events and ways Kasey and Craig celebrated, danced and enjoyed life. “You have a choice in this world and we chose to believe,” said Kasey, and believe they did. With a cancer diagnosis hanging over their heads, Kasey and Craig paid it forward by encouraging others also battling cancer and hardships to find the joy in life around them. Kasey and friend, Harry, even started a trend based off the concept of a Flash Mob to help uplift not only Craig, but family, friends, co-workers and complete strangers with what they dubbed a Love Mob.

Kasey is a big believer, teacher and role model of being resilient. Living with Multiple Sclerosis and having lost her mother eleven years ago, she knows how to overcome challenges. “My mom used to say, ‘If this is the worst that can happen to you, then you’re lucky,’” said Kasey. “Craig also had a motto: ‘This too shall pass.’ Because we believed and celebrated life, laughed, dreamed and were surrounded by loving people, we were able to get through the hard times.”

In Don’t Stop Believing: Our Journey with Cancer readers will relate to the love and devotion Kasey and her husband Craig experienced as they believed and celebrated to the very end. Much of the memoir draws upon memories and social media posts Kasey shared on Facebook throughout their journey with cancer. “When I sat down to write after Craig passed, it was very raw and fresh to me the experiences we went through. I found going through my timeline and being able to reflect was very cathartic and therapeutic. I wasn’t able to process what was happening to us at the time. I was on autopilot. I couldn’t let myself get emotional. I had to be a rock for my husband. But now, I was able to see what happened and how we made it through to the end. Writing this memoir has helped me process everything. I’m not bitter. I don’t play the ‘What if’ game. We lived…we believed,” shared Kasey.

Kasey Crawford Kellem’s raw honesty reveals every emotion she faced and the various thoughts that raced through her mind after her husband Craig was given his death sentence. Don’t Stop Believing: Our Journey with Cancer is not exactly happy. It’s not that kind of book. However, it will linger long and hard in the minds of readers and show life is worth living no matter the outcome. But it’s not a cancer book either…because cancer books suck.

“In the midst of a cancer diagnosis, most patients and family members find it difficult to retain the information they hear. Having a loved one live with a terminal diagnosis for an extended period of time is fast replacing sudden and unexpected death as a norm,” said Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina. “In this emotional rendition of Kasey and Craig’s battle with cancer, Kasey encourages people fighting this dreaded disease to never lose hope, to keep believing and to celebrate life to the every end.”

You can purchase Don’t Stop Believing: Our Journey with Cancer through Halo Publishing’s website (http://halopublishing.com), Amazon, B&N and local bookstores.

Carmel Valley, California Winery Launches Two New Wines for Charity Benefitting Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation

Jarman Tasting Lounge and Patio Opens in Carmel Valley Wine Tasting and Special Picnic Packages Now Available

Carmel Valley, CA, August 08, 2015 — Carmel Valley’s newest winery, Jarman Wines, will introduce two premium varietals to help benefit the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) and to honor the matriarch of the family whose name graces the wines created for her. In addition, the winery has opened a tasting room in Carmel Valley that offers three levels of wine tasting and three specially themed picnic packages.

To honor her late mother Jarman Fearing Lowder’s memory, Holman Ranch manager and eldest daughter Hunter Lowder took the best hand-selected estate grapes and created two premium varietals—Jarman Chardonnay and Jarman Pinot Noir—with $1 from each bottle sold going to the ADDF.

Jarman Lowder grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn., and lived up to being voted “best all around” in high school. She earned a nursing degree, worked as an R.N. and raised three daughters with her husband, Thomas. An active volunteer, animal lover, athlete and enthusiastic traveler, Jarman wanted to spend her golden years making wine with her husband at Holman Ranch, an idyllic piece of property in Carmel Valley, Ca. they purchased to realize that dream. Tragically, Lowder died in March 2011 at age 60 following a long battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.

Holman Ranch and Jarman Wines partnered with the ADDF to support research toward treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and to celebrate the life of Jarman Lowder. “We wanted to honor her, give back and increase awareness,” said her daughter Hunter. “Everything we do here and the reason all this exists is because of her.”

“We appreciate the generous support of Holman Ranch and the Lowder family,” says Dr. Howard Fillit, founding Executive Director and Chief Science Officer for the ADDF. “And we are proud that 100 percent of every dollar donated through this partnership will go directly to fund drug research for Alzheimer’s disease.” Dr. Fillit knew Jarman Lowder personally and was excited by the opportunity to honor her legacy in such a meaningful way.

About the ADDF
Founded in 1998 by co-chairmen Leonard A. and Ronald S. Lauder, the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation is dedicated to rapidly accelerating the discovery of drugs to prevent, treat and cure Alzheimer’s disease. It follows a venture philanthropy model, funding promising research in academia and the biotech industry. And it’s the only such charity solely dedicated to funding the development of drugs for Alzheimer’s. Since its founding, the ADDF has awarded more than $70 million to fund over 450 Alzheimer’s drug discovery programs and clinical trials in 18 countries. By supporting innovative research projects around the globe, the ADDF increases the chance of finding a cure.

About Jarman Wines
Jarman’s terroir (a French word that speaks to a wine’s place of origin, its subtle nuances of traceable character, flavor, lineage and integrity) refers to a special place in Carmel Valley—and also to a special woman who inspired a family to bottle the essence of a mother’s spirit. The Jarman label will reflect quality, with only the best local grapes used during an artisanal, small-batch winemaking process. Jarman wine uses only 100 percent estate-grown, organic and certified-sustainable grapes. Aged in French oak barrels, Jarman’s vintages are held in limited supply, and not available anywhere outside their tasting room. The two varietals include:

• The 2013 Jarman Pinot Noir takes on nuances of warm blueberry pie, cloves and cinnamon that mingle in the nose with oak notes from 10 months in the barrel. The mouth-feel is plump and juicy with overtones of cassis and blackberries.

• The 2014 Jarman Chardonnay features floral notes reminiscent of walking by a parfumerie in France — subtle and pleasant with a hint of earthiness. When serving this wine lightly chilled, rich notes of underripe berries and raw honey will waltz across your palate.

To further honor their mother’s memory, the family has opened a special tasting room in Carmel Valley Village (open noon to 5 p.m., Thurs.-Sun.; or by appointment) next to Will’s Fargo Steakhouse + Bar, the restaurant they purchased in 2014. The tastings will feature full-fledged experiences, including tours and wine education, and each will include a food element that complements the wine. The new Jarman tasting room will provide visitors with three unique experiences: Cru Tasting, Premier Cru Experience and the Grand Cru Experience.

Simply play around an experiment,” Droste Stated.

Everything comes out in blues music: joy, pain, struggle. Blues is affirmation with absolute elegance. It’s about a man and a woman. Dan Langston Releases His New Book Memoirs of a Billionaire Cab Driver

Dan Langston, the author chosen by Akamai Kane (the billionaire cab driver from the small island of Kiki Loa) to write the life story, just released his new book titled Memoirs of a Billionaire Cab Driver.

Reno, NV, July 25, 2015 – Dan Langston, the author chosen by Akamai Kane (the billionaire cab driver from the small island of Kiki Loa) to write the life story, just released his new book titled Memoirs of a Billionaire Cab Driver. The initial version was released in eBook format to speed it release to market and is currently available on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and other major book resellers’ sites. It is also available at www.billionairecabdriver.com.

Memoirs of a Billionaire cab Driver consists of the secrets Mr. Kane revealed to Mr. Langston about how he became one of the richest men in the world. The story might surprise you as it explains some very simple truths about how easy it is to achieve all of your financial dreams. The secrets are revealed through illustrations of the same forces occurring in nature as Mr Kane shows Mr. Langston around his beautiful island of Kiki Loa in an all-day cab drive.

“I never expected to learn as much as I did from Mr. Kane in such a short period of time”, say Dan Langston. “His knowledge is immense and he presented it to me is a linear, easy to understand format with each concept building on the previous. By the end of just one day, I had an excellent grasp of all he wanted me to learn and that will substantially change how I deal with money for the reminder of my life. I am very excited to share this with my readers.”

Mr. Kane secrets revealed in the book shows us that most of what we are taught and believe about how money works is in fact just the opposite. He also shows us why there is so much financial failure as people try to build a secure financial future and how to overcome the odds and succeed. Then he reveals an easy, step by step process to achieve anything in life you want, with the sky literally being the limit.

If you missed the story several months, on the tiny island of Kiki Loa, a local cab driver named Akamai Kane, wrote a personal check for $15,000,000 to build a water desalinization plant for his fellow islanders. Following that event, investigations revealed that Mr. Kane to be currently worth over $20 billion, making him among the wealthiest men in the world.

Motivational Speaker Releases a Powerful Book on Positive Self Image

Marilyn L. Donnellan has been on an amazing journey; from dealing with childhood bullying and verbal abuse to becoming an internationally published author and motivational speaker, and successful consultant to nonprofits.

Orlando, FL (USA), July 25th, 2015 — Marilyn L. Donnellan has been on an amazing journey; from dealing with childhood bullying and verbal abuse to becoming an internationally published author and motivational speaker, and successful consultant to nonprofits. But there’s a twist – she has achieved it all while fighting deep-seated feelings of ugliness and low self worth.

In this unique and powerful book, Two Faces of Me, Donnellan explores all the different aspects that make up each of our lives and our self-esteem. She wrote her newest book to inspire readers to focus on positive self-image and to understand our worth in God’s eyes.

“We need to learn not to desire to be something we’re not. I spent my entire life struggling to accept who I am. And, as I started to get older, I learned there is no manual to tell me how to age gracefully. I learned the hard way that I can’t base my sense of self-worth and image on appearance. I earned every aging wrinkle and lump, and I’m learning to cherish them as valuable parts of me,” stated Donnellan.

The motivation to write Two Faces of Me was initially to explain what happens when Donnellan’s character, Sophie, makes her appearance at workshops and conferences. Sophie has been a helpful object lesson for over 40 years, and in the book, Donnellan wanted to explain why Sophie has such an impact on people.

“The answer is we all have an inner Sophie in us,” said Donnellan, “and we tend to judge people on the way they look. But, as I thought about how I felt about myself at different times in my life, Sophie became a metaphor for many of my experiences. She has really become an example of how I struggled to build who I am without being false to the real me.”

Donnellan didn’t write Two Face of Me to share just her personal journey. Her goal was also to share Sophie’s journey and how people rarely make an effort to talk to her Sophie personality.

“I can count on one hand the number of people who have come up to Sophie and said, ‘Hello,’ states Donnellan. “Often, when I dress up as Sophie for church events, conferences or workshop she will be asked to leave. Even the best-hearted and spiritual people don’t know how to handle the Sophies of the world. People act as if Sophie can’t hear, see, and doesn’t have feelings. It’s like they don’t realize how they are treating her. I’ve learned so much about how people treat others by being Sophie.”

Two Faces of Me was a difficult book for Donnellan to write for a few reasons. The biggest one was being in the spotlight and sharing the raw truth of her personal life and her journey as Sophie with readers.

“Everything is told in Two Faces of Me – it’s an autobiography that will impart life-changing inspiration to those close to giving up or for anyone lacking self-confidence,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina.

Synopsis:
Emotionally damaged by childhood bullying and verbal abuse, M.L. Donnellan takes readers on a rocky journey. Struggling to find herself after an attempted suicide, Donnellan lives her life like an actress, pretending to be what she does not feel. Focused on a lifestyle of over achievement and trying to please others, it is only when she begins to comprehend her worth in God’s eyes that she is able to see herself as unique, valuable, gifted and beautiful.

What Readers Are Saying:
“Great transparency…easy to identify with…unique use of creativity to enhance message…provides answers.” Diane Hawkins, MA, President, Restoration in Christ Ministries.

“…a wonderful book…the reader hears the echoes of their own story and can choose to take steps towards healing through God’s mirror of truth.” Kimberly A. Hawkins, Dallas, TX.
