“Finding the Beautiful You” Guides Readers to Discover Their True Self

We all struggle with our self-confidence at some point and often question our self-worth. In Lisa Cassman’s latest book, “Finding the Beautiful You” she helps readers discover who they are.

San Antonio, TX (USA), November 9th, 2017 — Are you plagued by an inner voice reminding you of your faults and shortcomings? We all struggle with our self-confidence at some point and often question our self-worth. In Lisa Cassman’s latest book, “Finding the Beautiful You” she helps readers discover who they are. With a pen in one hand and the Bible in the other, Cassman guides readers through the process of examining their self-worth to truly find their beautiful self.

“As a licensed minister and motivational speaker, women frequently approach me asking for a book that outlines the content of my workshops on self-confidence,” said Lisa Cassman, author. “I realized that women were hungry for a guide that would help them address past hurts and disappointments so they could focus on the joy the future holds as their true beautiful self.” Thus, the birth of “Finding the Beautiful You.”

In Cassman’s book, she offers a variety of interactive exercises that force readers to truly absorb the information and personalize the content to help with their own self-discovery. Used as a workbook, readers are encouraged to write their thoughts to emotional prompts like “I wish I could change…”

Additionally, throughout the book, readers are directed to read specific scripture passages and write down their feelings. Cassman has selected a variety of Biblical text to support her belief that God loves us and has a special and unique purpose for each of us. “Finding the Beautiful You” was written to help readers discover the positive message that can be found in scripture and our own self-examination.

“It is one thing to read a book, but another to truly be immersed in the content,” said Cassman. “By encouraging readers to examine the hurts and disappointments in their past; take them out, look at them, forgive themselves and then finally put them behind them, I hope readers will finally see their wonderful value.”

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+139:14&version=NIV)

“The minute we give God our cares and concerns to carry, He lightens our load,” said Cassman. “However, we also need to forgive ourselves and let go. Through “Finding the Beautiful You” I hope that readers will finally be able to put aside their fears and concerns and focus on the positive message God has for our life.”

“This is a beautiful book,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “The format is very user-friendly. I found that I had a pencil close at hand to jot down my thoughts and my Bible next to me so that I could immediately read the scripture Lisa mentions. She doesn’t give the answers but encourages the readers to take part in the process and find peace and understanding within the word of God.”

Finding the Beautiful You is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in paperback for $12.95 and $6.99 for the e-book. Visit http://www.lisacassman.com to learn more about her workshop “New You – New Life:  7 Steps to Boosting Self Confidence” and her other services.

Motivational Speaker Releases a Powerful Book on Positive Self Image

Marilyn L. Donnellan has been on an amazing journey; from dealing with childhood bullying and verbal abuse to becoming an internationally published author and motivational speaker, and successful consultant to nonprofits.

Orlando, FL (USA), July 25th, 2015 — Marilyn L. Donnellan has been on an amazing journey; from dealing with childhood bullying and verbal abuse to becoming an internationally published author and motivational speaker, and successful consultant to nonprofits. But there’s a twist – she has achieved it all while fighting deep-seated feelings of ugliness and low self worth.

In this unique and powerful book, Two Faces of Me, Donnellan explores all the different aspects that make up each of our lives and our self-esteem. She wrote her newest book to inspire readers to focus on positive self-image and to understand our worth in God’s eyes.

“We need to learn not to desire to be something we’re not. I spent my entire life struggling to accept who I am. And, as I started to get older, I learned there is no manual to tell me how to age gracefully. I learned the hard way that I can’t base my sense of self-worth and image on appearance. I earned every aging wrinkle and lump, and I’m learning to cherish them as valuable parts of me,” stated Donnellan.

The motivation to write Two Faces of Me was initially to explain what happens when Donnellan’s character, Sophie, makes her appearance at workshops and conferences. Sophie has been a helpful object lesson for over 40 years, and in the book, Donnellan wanted to explain why Sophie has such an impact on people.

“The answer is we all have an inner Sophie in us,” said Donnellan, “and we tend to judge people on the way they look. But, as I thought about how I felt about myself at different times in my life, Sophie became a metaphor for many of my experiences. She has really become an example of how I struggled to build who I am without being false to the real me.”

Donnellan didn’t write Two Face of Me to share just her personal journey. Her goal was also to share Sophie’s journey and how people rarely make an effort to talk to her Sophie personality.

“I can count on one hand the number of people who have come up to Sophie and said, ‘Hello,’ states Donnellan. “Often, when I dress up as Sophie for church events, conferences or workshop she will be asked to leave. Even the best-hearted and spiritual people don’t know how to handle the Sophies of the world. People act as if Sophie can’t hear, see, and doesn’t have feelings. It’s like they don’t realize how they are treating her. I’ve learned so much about how people treat others by being Sophie.”

Two Faces of Me was a difficult book for Donnellan to write for a few reasons. The biggest one was being in the spotlight and sharing the raw truth of her personal life and her journey as Sophie with readers.

“Everything is told in Two Faces of Me – it’s an autobiography that will impart life-changing inspiration to those close to giving up or for anyone lacking self-confidence,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina.

Emotionally damaged by childhood bullying and verbal abuse, M.L. Donnellan takes readers on a rocky journey. Struggling to find herself after an attempted suicide, Donnellan lives her life like an actress, pretending to be what she does not feel. Focused on a lifestyle of over achievement and trying to please others, it is only when she begins to comprehend her worth in God’s eyes that she is able to see herself as unique, valuable, gifted and beautiful.

What Readers Are Saying:
“Great transparency…easy to identify with…unique use of creativity to enhance message…provides answers.” Diane Hawkins, MA, President, Restoration in Christ Ministries.

“…a wonderful book…the reader hears the echoes of their own story and can choose to take steps towards healing through God’s mirror of truth.” Kimberly A. Hawkins, Dallas, TX.

You can purchase Two Faces of Me through Halo Publishing’s website (http://halopublishing.com), Amazon and other online bookstores. Available in Paperback and eBook.

Louis Zamperini W W II POW, 1936 U.S. Olympian Headlines Lazarex Cancer Foundation Event September 29 On U.S.S. HORNET

Louis Zamperini Shook Hands with Hitler, Was Tortured at Japanese POW Camp; Will Share His Message of Forgiveness and Hope.

Alameda, CA (USA), September 08, 2012 — Louis Zamperini, a 95-year-old best selling author and motivational speaker, will share his extraordinary life story and his message of forgiveness and hope when the Lazarex Cancer Foundation of Danville holds its annual fundraiser gala on the U.S.S. Hornet on Sept. 29 at 707 Hornet Dr., Pier 3 in Alameda.

Zamperini is one of the last surviving members of the 1936 U.S. Olympic team for the Berlin games. He finished eighth in the 5,000 meter run, but his last quarter-mile split of 56 seconds caught the attention of Adolph Hitler, who insisted upon meeting Zamperini. The pair shook hands, and before the end of the games Zamperini seized the opportunity to steal a Nazi flag off of the Chancellery wall under the noses of Nazi guards.

A few years later Zamperini was serving as a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corps when his plane crashed into the Pacific. He became a Japanese POW and was tortured for three years. The United States listed him as missing in action, and a year later as dead, before his liberation at the end of the war. In 1950 he met his captors and hugged each of them while explaining his life philosophy.

“Louis Zamperini’s message of hope and personal perseverance under the most trying circumstances is a perfect match for our mission of providing hope and time to late stage cancer patients and their families,” said Lazarex founder and President Dana Dornsife. Since its founding in 2007, Lazarex has helped more than 100 patients find FDA-approved clinical trials and then paid for travel and lodging for those trials which can be anywhere in North America. These treatments have helped add months or even years to people for whom conventional medicine has no treatment. Some patients are now in remission.

“We’ve helped people enjoy one more Christmas, one more Little League season, or even make it to their daughter’s wedding,” Dornsife said. “We believe that the size of one’s checkbook should have no bearing on the length or quality of their life.”

The gala will be much more than a sumptuous meal and a unique and memorable speaker. Guests will be entertained during the cocktail hour by a group called The Swingin’ Blue Stars, four Blue Star Moms singing Andrews Sisters-style tunes. After dinner JamFunkShus will regale guests with danceable numbers from the 60s to the 90s.

Casino games will be available throughout the evening along with both a live and silent auction. Prizes include travel packages, deluxe wine country junkets, catered dinners, and fine jewelry. Well known in CA, Italian crooner tribute duo Wallin and Baretta, ardent Lazarex supporters, will be attending the gala. Stay tuned for other celebrity guest announcements.

Tickets to the Lazarex Battle for a Lifetime are $350 per person and can be purchased at https://lazarex.ejoinme.org/USSHornetGala . Dress is cocktail attire.

“Every dollar we raise helps provide hope for people who have been told they have none,” Dornsife said. “We believe our guests will have a great time, hear some inspirational messages, and leave the event knowing they have helped extend the quality of life for some folks in very difficult situations.”
