Tampa, FL, April 13, 2012 – Hip-Hop star Gucci Mane is not being the ordinary rapper nowadays. He’s been busy focusing on branching out of the music world and making a transition to the big screen. Gucci recently took over the city of Tampa to work on the film “Spring Breakers” and to also make an appearance at Club Underground. The Atlanta, GA native has been excited about working on the new movie and getting his acting on. “Spring Breakers” is slated for an early 2013 release and features mega stars James Franco and Selena Gomez along with a host of other celebrity cameos. James Franco is best known for his role as The Green Goblin in the Spider Man Movie series. Gucci Mane made an appearance at Club Underground where he partied with adoring fans and members of his entourage. The Southern breed emcee is a regular performer at Club Underground, so Gucci popping up wasn’t a big surprise for many of the regular club goers. Club Underground is usually one of Gucci’s favorite spots to party when he’s in Tampa. Walter “Bunny” Sigler learned the power of music and the emotional quality of funk as a child, in the Emmanuel Baptist church in Philadelphia, PA. While still in his adolescence, Bunny, his brother and two other young men made up The Opals, his first vocal and musical group. Since then Sigler is a four-time Grammy award winner and nominee who has been a writer, producer or recording artist on thousands of recorded CDs. He is known internationally as a great performer and orignator of the Philly Sound for Gamble & Huff, and for his portrayal of the title role in Verdi’s Othello, at the Biennale Festival in Venice, Italy.

His work with Leon Huff and Kenny Gamble was instrumental in the development of The Philadelphia Sound and the distinction genre known as “Philly Soul”, as well as the climb to R&B legacy that Philadelphia International Records experienced since the 1960s. Cheer Channel Inc. Launches First Original Branded Web Series for Cheerleaders

AUSTIN, Texas (April 12, 2012) Cheer Channel Inc. (CCI), the premiere online digital news and entertainment network dedicated entirely to the spirit industry, announced today that they will debut the world premiere of the first original Web series written and produced specifically for cheerleaders and their millions of fans, “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader,” in early April.

The spirit industry is a $4 billion industry, with its target demographic reaching female teens, tweens and ‘cheer’ moms.

“Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” is a scripted, dramatic Web series consisting of six webisodes that will air on the Cheer Channel website and Facebook fan pages, the “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” Facebook fan pages, and YouTube channel and has locked in distribution deals with some of the largest distributors of Web series on the Internet, including Vimeo, Blip.TV, Koldcast.TV, Hulu, iTunes, Brightcover, Veoh, Web Series Today, Grab Networks, and Alphabird . In addition, “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” clips, trailers and full episodes will be posted on more than 70 of the most popular teen and tween social media platforms, including Twitter, Delicious, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Blogger.

“Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” is written and produced by Aaron Mendelsohn, who has written the screenplays for the multi-million dollar film franchise, “Air Bud,” and its 11 sequels for Disney, as well as numerous webisodes for brands and networks including Coca-Cola, Toyota, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and The Gap.  Most recently, Aaron wrote the screenplay for “12 Days of Christmas”, which was the highest rated Christmas movie this past holiday season on ABC Family Channel.

The series will be directed by Jared Seltzer who has directed and edited award-winning Web series, documentaries and reality shows for studios such as Paramount, Warner Bros, Universal and cable nets including Discovery, AMC and Bravo.

National casting calls began on Feb. 11 at cheer event producer Epic’s “Battle of the Boardwalk” as well as at the Cheersport Nationals February 17-19. Hundreds of girls turned out to audition for various roles that will be populated by real cheerleaders in the series.  Open casting calls will continue through the end of week.

New York, NY, April 12, 2012 – Juno Award winning Canadian jazz singer Kellylee Evans will make her debut New York headlining performance at the Apollo Music Cafe on Friday, May 11, 2012, as part of the second annual Harlem Jazz Shines Festival, which runs from May 7-13, 2012. Evans will be featuring material from her inspiring tribute to jazz icon Nina Simone, entitled NINA, which earned her a 2011 Juno Award for BEST JAZZ VOCAL ALBUM. Both Moutin and Sewell recorded NINA with Evans, (in Paris) and Moutin has performed with her several times in noted clubs and music festivals throughout France since the record was released last year.

The Harlem-wide jazz festival reunites the Festival’s founding partners, the Apollo Theater, Harlem Stage and Jazzmobile, and focuses on the venues, music, and artists that were central to Harlem’s cultural landscape from the 1920s through the 1970s and on contemporary jazz artists. artists involved in the project were: åge riisnes (owner of harlequins enigma), jean michel jarre, sara jensen, sara q, elin berge, atjazz, sade, tori amos, emma watson, katie leung, yello & tangerine dream.

the inspiration of åge riisnes` early work came much from amiga artists like: øistein johan eide (boom jinx), martin iveson (atjazz), bjørn lynne, jesper kyd, jochen hippel & raphael gesqua. he also drew inspiration in the 90`s from artists like: jean michel jarre, tori amos, sade, vangelis, georgio moroder, cyndi lauper, kate bush, simply red, madonna, a-ha, alphaville, the beatles, prince & others. lately he has listened to other artists like jan garbarek, kitaro, tangerine dream, røyksopp, anja garbarek, bjørk, briskeby, bjørn eidsvåg & is thrilled to have played with some of them. as a result of co-operation, his mind expanded musically & he says thanx for that experience. physically he is about to snap, so his health is a priority now. mentally he is strong & hope to have enough money one day & buy a house & move away to somewhere quiet. he informs he took a break from music to have some rest, but have actually gotten worse.

harlequins enigma`s ( http://www.harlenia.com ) plans for the future is to release octagon vol.4 – loom, it`s the classical album, which took the place from the announced jazz album, which will come afterwards. they will also release a tori amos ep, consisting of 4 small amiga sessions & 3 fl studio sessions. rally feat. jean michel jarre, will be remastered & released as a single. the 50 cent piece featuring katie leung, the light of the shadow will be remastered & will feature 3 other hip hop tracks, some of it amiga material. catmint will come, a mixed album featuring various artists. td sound 1, 2 & 3 will also appear featuring tangerine dream, klaus schulze, other ex-members of tangerine dream & katie leung worked on many of the tracks also. expect these releases from harlequins enigma in 2013-2014.

Congratulations to Local Author, Molly Nero, Winner of the 2012 Mom’s Choice Award!

Local Bethel Park author and experienced educator Molly Nero has been awarded the 2012 Mom’s Choice Award for her recently published debut book Smarty Pig. This story was created to get children excited about learning.

Houston, TX (USA), Thursday – April 05, 2012 — Local Bethel Park author and experienced educator Molly Nero has been awarded the 2012 Mom’s Choice Award for her recently published debut book Smarty Pig. This story was created to get children excited about learning.

“Learning is not just for school, it’s for life,” says Nero, author of Smarty Pig, soon to be released through Halo Publishing International. She hopes teachers will utilize Smarty Pig in their classrooms to inspire their students. “It is important to help children understand that learning to count and read is not just something we make them do at school, but lessons they will be applying throughout their lives.” She said reading to her own children inspired her to write stories that will build self-esteem and help young students deal with issues at school.

Smarty Pig is a story about a family of pigs who give up on school. One of the pigs, though, loves to learn. She creates games to help others practice skills eventually getting the family members to realize that learning can be fun and how important school really is to their future. Reaching out to young students, the pro-learning book is geared toward children in grades K-3.

A native of Arlington, Texas and the youngest in a family of seven children, Nero taught academics and music at the elementary school level after achieving her degree at the University of Texas. Nero recently relocated to Pennsylvania with her husband and two children, ages 9 and 15.
