The High-Tech Age is Changing the Way People Entertainment – Interactive Bar Table

The bar known as the Junction, which is surrounded by Ivy League universities, recently provided a new challenge to RichTech.

Claremont, CA (USA), October 16th, 2014 — Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, people’s lives are undergoing revolutionary change. For example, the Smart phone shortened the distance between people, and the High Speed Rail shortened the distance between city and city. Furthermore, High technology also provides people with a better way of entertainment. Here is the best proof of this case:

The bar known as the Junction, which is surrounded by Ivy League universities, recently provided a new challenge to RichTech. The bar just wanted to become more interactive and appealing. After some consideration, RichTech responded by producing the new Interactive Bar system. This system offers new and exciting ways for customers to enjoy an evening out.

The new Interactive Bar represents an improvement on a previous product that the Junction had used to great effect. In this case, the bar was a top-projection model that was further customized using the interactive technology. The final version of the bar measured a total of 5.46 meters long by 0.7 meters wide. The bar is simple to set up and can fit into a relatively small space if needed. When put into action, the bar drew a lot of attention from patrons who enjoyed seeing the different programs and games that were available.

With the projection lamps placed overhead, the establishment was able to turn a simple blank bar space into something that served as the center of attention during a busy night. The heavy emphasis on nature themes helped to bring a calming sense of nature to an otherwise busy bar. This can be an excellent way to give a business a different feel than what people normally expect. They come to the bar not only for drinks, but also for the innovative and amazing Interactive Bar Table. This means that the bar became something more than just a social venue – it became a central part of the conversation.

As a whole,High-tech changes the way people entertainment, and it also changes the way of life. Some might say that technology is a double edged sword. Whatever, just enjoy it!

MAX Agency Press Release – October 19, 2014

Featured in this week’s press release is MAX Agency model talent Meaghan Ritola.

Toronto, ON, October 19, 2014 – Meaghan’s education is centered on Journalism and broadcast television and although she has done some acting she is in the midst of preparing to audition for Acting programs a various schools,

“Right now I’m in journalism at Guelph-Humber University. It’s helped me a lot because obviously I wanted to go into broadcast television. It has definitely made me more confident because we get to actually work with the cameras at our school and we get to use the broadcast room. My professors have helped me come out of my shell. Because of MAX it helped me figure out what I really want to do which is acting.”

Where would you like to study acting?

“I am hoping to get into the acting for film and television program at Humber. It’s a practical program so I’d be taking a whole completely new course. I am also applying to other acting programs.”

Meaghan’s enthusiasm for the industry and willingness to do every kind of acting project available to her including unpaid work to build up her reel led me to suggest Randolph Academy which specializes in the triple threat approach of singing, dancing and acting. What experience in the industry have you had so far?

“My internship has helped me. I interned with Bell Media at Space Channel and I got to see the production side of things and I got to help out on the show called Innerspace. I got to help out at the MMVA’s which was great! I was also able to help with CTV Upfronts where they have all the stars come in and pitch what their going to do for the next year. I love the show Vampire Diaries and the guy that played Elijah was there and the girl who plays Penelope from Criminal minds was there. So you really get a behind the scenes look”

Surprised Meaghan is only twenty-one years old and already graduating she went on to talk about her acting experience so far,

“I took acting classes out of high school and I took acting classes at my local community centre and we got to make audition tapes which was really cool. It was similar to the talent workshop we did with MAX Agency Toronto.”

With a lot of education and a bit of acting training Meaghan was approached by a MAX Agency Model and Talent Toronto Scout and decided to sign up. How have things been so far and what are your plans for the future?

“I’ve just auditioned with MAX so far. I’ve only auditioned. No parts. I’d love to join ACTRA. But for now I’m willing to do unpaid work for experience and basically ready to audition for anything and get some parts. I’m hoping to get some more experience. I have television broadcast experience but I really want to act.”

MAX Agency’s Bookers are currently looking for new Talent! If you are interested we highly recommend visiting www.maxagency.com and filling out an Application. Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, October 19, 2014 – SAFE International, one of the world’s premier self-defense training companies recently announced it is launching courses in Fort McMurray, Alberta, in Canada. The courses will focus on women’s defense, high school self-defense, and security of businesses and corporate locations and will be taught by Richard Dimitri, who is a world-renowned self-defense expert.

Having Richard as an active member of the SAFE International™ team is beyond what Chris Roberts, Managing Director of SAFE International Self Defense could have envisioned. For those of you who are familiar already with Richard, you know exactly what I am talking about. And for those of you just new to this site, to SAFE International™ and to Richard Dimitri, read on to see why I am so thrilled to have him on board! Richard Dimitri essentially began his career at the age of 6. You see, that’s when he took his first martial arts class and from that day on, he has always been, in some form or fashion, involved in the realm of self defense.  From offering private and personal security, to being a bodyguard to some high profile clients around the world, and to eventually developing his very own system (Senshido), Richard Dimitri quickly became a high profile individual in his field. Senshido was Richard’s vision for reality-based self defense; teaching survival skills for real world violence by preparing you for the worst from drawing out the elemental and instinctive self defense tools innate to all of us. In Richard’s own words, here is what he shares; “No styles, no systems, no rituals, no lineages, no masters, no labels, no belts, no katas, no uniforms, no dogmas; only the process of sharing and learning through self-actualization & personal expression of truth via functional combative philosophy, psychology, movement and fitness. The list of Richard’s accomplishments is staggering, he has worked with the British Special Forces, the Presidential Security Team of Finland, SWAT, the Mexico City chapter of the Guardian Angels, the Association for Women’s Total Advancement & Development, and the Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women (Cairo). He is also a published author of numerous books and articles, and Black Belt magazine referred to him as one of the top 20 toughest fighters on planet earth! Wow. And those are just a few highlights from Richard’s distinguished career. To learn more about this illustrious individual, please visit his website which will be available soon at www.richarddimitri.com. In the meantime, please email SAFE International at info@safeinternational.biz if you would like to book a women’s self defense party, corporate instruction, or private self defense lessons.

Safe International Announces The Launch Of Fort Mcmurray Women’s Self Defense Parties

Fort McMurray Self Defense, SAFE International Launches Fort McMurray Women’s Self Defense Parties.

Fort McMurray, AB, October 17, 2014 – (Straight Line PR) – Fort McMurray Self Defense, SAFE International Launches Fort McMurray Women’s Self Defense Parties.

SAFE International ™ is the leading provider of mobile self-defense/personal protection training in Canada. SAFE International has taught more than 185,000 clients in the private, corporate and high school environments since 1994. SAFE International is expanding its seminar options to include women’s self defense parties in Fort McMurray, Alberta with world renowned self defense expert Richard Dimitri.

One of the reasons that SAFE International enjoys teaching women’s self defense Fort McMurray, is how receptive women are to the skills that the SAFE International instructors provide. SAFE International teaches self-defense concepts, rather than techniques. This allows women to learn in a much shorter time. SAFE International always covers Awareness and Avoidance strategies which are based on one’s daily routines. They examine what an attacker looks for, what an attacker wants, and does not want in confrontation. One of the biggest topics that is explored is how most people are too polite, even when their intuition is telling them the complete opposite. SAFE Instructors cover the most common distraction techniques an attacker will use to gain an advantage. Instruction then moves on to verbal strategies in the event that avoidance is no longer possible.  Rather than just teaching to yell at a potential attacker, there are a few verbal strategies based on the aggressor and the scenario. The third step is addressing the physical aspect of Fort McMurray women’s self defense. This begins with the advantages of adopting a passive stance rather than an aggressive stance. SAFE Instructors only teach gross motor strikes due to the adrenal rush one gets when they are in a highly stressful state such as an attack scenario. They teach a philosophy of “Attack the Attacker” which reverses one from being the Prey, to that of being the Predator. Another philosophy is to attack the head if all avoidance and verbal strategies have failed.

So Forget Tupperware Parties!
Invite 6 to 8 of your friends for a few hours of fun, education and potentially life- saving instruction. Plan a meal, wine and cheese, or maybe some dessert!  Be prepared for a unique Fort McMurray Women’s Self Defense experience! What has made SAFE International so popular is their unique method of teaching with humour and sharing of anecdotes.  SAFE International has taught more than 185,000 clients including mothers, fathers, daughters, police officers, seniors, and people with disabilities. To contact SAFE International to schedule your Women’s Self Defense party, you can visit our main SAFE International website at www.safeinternational.biz

21 Employers To Recruit at The Oklahoman Transportation Career Fair

Companies looking for drivers, mechanics and dispatchers.

Oklahoma City, OK, USA (October 15, 2014) — On Saturday October 18, 2014 The Oklahoman Newspaper will be holding its first ever Transportation Career Fair with twenty one top employers in attendance recruiting for drivers, mechanics and dispatchers. The transportation industry has more than 300,000 opportunities available in the US today. Oklahoma City is a major transportation hub.

Nancy Simoneau is the event coordinator. “This is such an exciting career opportunity. We have some of the biggest names in the industry exhibiting. Stevens Trucking for example is one of the top companies that offers paid training for Drivers. These employers are looking for local, regional and OTR Drivers as well as Owner Operators. This is a great opportunity to come and talk to multiple recruiters in one setting,” she said.

Forbe’s Magazine recently reported that the transportation industry represents the greatest employment opportunity in the country today and salaries have never been higher.

“It is a common misconception that jobs in this industry are tough to get and all driving jobs are OTR or long haul. While there are a number of good positions in the OTR category and many candidates find that appealing, there are also just as many local driving jobs and positions in support services,” noted Sela Rodriguez, Vice-President at USTruckerjobs.com, a sponsor of the event.

The Career Fair will be held at the Plaza Mayor at the Crossroads of I 35 and I 240 in Oklahoma City from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Kristi Richter is now in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that artist Kristi Richter is their newest featured artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (October 15, 2014) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that artist Kristi Richter is their newest featured artist. Kristi will now be presented in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase section for the next month.

Kristi Richter was born and grew up in Chicago and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Art has always been a priority, and she owes her zealous interest due to her grandfather, who was a professional commercial artist and had a studio in Chicago. Her mother was also an artist, so she inherited talent from both sides of the family.

Kristi followed an art curriculum through high school, but it was when she attended The American Academy of Art and Chicago Academy of Fine Arts respectively, that she really started to understand her potential and how to express it. Her studies introduced her to the many facets of art such as advertising, illustration, calligraphy, photography, scratchboard, abstract, design, charcoal drawing with live models, and color schemes. Over time, she was able to recognize her weaknesses and sought ways to improve them, and she solidified her strengths.

Kristi’s favorite medium is acrylics because they blend easily, dry quickly and the colors are opulent and vibrant. Most of her work is done in acrylics and has included pet portraits, posters and advertisements that are animal-related. She has also written and illustrated a children’s book about a dog which she would like to publish.

Kristi’s definitive objective is to start a business exclusively doing pet portraits or a favorite wildlife creature rendered in acrylics, scratchboard, watercolor, abstract, and cartoon. She has designed a business card and advertising poster and her logo is “Kristi’s Kritters”. Kristi can be reached at keddywumpus@yahoo.com.

Rosendin Electric Wins a Gold Vision Award from Constructech for New Mobile Material and Tool Management App

Rosendin Electric Recognized for Harnessing Mobile Computing Technology to Automate Material and Tool Management from the Job Site.

San Jose, CA, USA (October 15, 2014) — Rosendin Electric, the nation’s largest private electrical contractor and an employee-owned company, today announced the company has received the Gold Constructech Vision Award in the Specialty Contractor: Electrical Work category. The award was recently announced in Redwood City, California, following Constructech magazine’s Technology Day.

The Constructech Vision Awards acknowledge companies that have stayed up-to-date on the latest trends and products in order to make decisions that have helped their businesses succeed and thrive. Rosendin Electric was selected for a Gold Vision Award for developing a new mobile app that works with the Autodesk® BIM 360™ Field platform to streamline material and tool management for field personnel.

Rather than manually listing materials or equipment and generating paper or email requisitions, the Material and Tool Management App allows the field team to use mobile devices to order conduit, wire, fixtures, and other materials. The requisition is automatically routed for approval and fulfillment by purchasing, the equipment yard, Tool Manager, or other departments. The App is designed to check inventory before generating a purchase order and every order has a QR code that tracks the materials from shipping to the final installation location. The App has even been extended to support Rosendin Electric’s pre-fabrication unit where assemblies are built, coded for tracking, and shipped to the job site.

With the deployment of the Material and Tool Management App, Rosendin Electric has been able to dramatically reduce the time required to process materials and equipment orders. It has also reduced shipping and receiving errors and provides excellent materials tracking. Furthermore, the App has been designed to integrate with the existing document repository software and mobile technology already in use so no additional software or training were required.

“We have found that using handheld devices on the job site has revolutionized the way we work, and receipt of a Gold Vision Award is validation of the company’s innovation and technological achievements,” said Sam Lamonica, Vice President and CIO for Rosendin Electric. “We decided to create this app in-house since we better understood our requirements, and our team was able to acquire the skills needed for mobile app design and development so we didn’t have to restructure our IT Development Group. Now that we have the knowledge, we can continue to untether our field personnel, building apps for other business applications so users can access them from the job site.”

Rosendin Electric also received a Gold Constructech Vision Award in the category of Specialty Contractor: Electrical Work in 2011 and 2012.

About Rosendin Electric

Rosendin Electric, Inc., headquartered in San Jose, California, is an employee-owned electrical engineering, power and communications provider and is the largest privately held electrical contractor in the United States.
