Jaguar ‘Trousseau Week 2014’ All Set to Celebrate the Diverse Cultural Beauty of the Traditional Indian Wedding

Presented by The Collection, UB City in association with Sublime Galleria and supported by the Prestige Group, Jaguar Trousseau Week 2014 will be on from 21st to 30th November 2014.

Bangalore, India, November 19th, 2014 — India is probably the only country in the world to boast of such a widely diverse population, comprising of people from different religions, cultures and communities. With varied traditional wear, rituals and customs, India is also considered an extremely colorful country, with more than two thousand ethnic groups, living together in unity. The 5th Edition of ‘Trousseau Week’ aims to celebrate the rich cultural diversity and traditions of the Indian wedding.

Presented by The Collection, UB City in association with Sublime Galleria and supported by the Prestige Group, Jaguar Trousseau Week 2014 will be on from 21st to 30th November 2014. The 10-day long wedding festival will provide all Wedding Planning, Design and Consulting needs under one roof, with the help of some of the trendiest international and national luxury brands in the world today on one hand, and Indian artisans and weavers on the other.

Sharing her thoughts on this year’s line-up of activities, Uzma Irfan – Additional Director, Prestige Group and Founder, Sublime Galleria said, “One of the most beautiful qualities of the Indian culture is that it is inclusive. The younger generation is not just limiting themselves to their own rituals and customs, but celebrating all traditions and festivals across communities as one unit. Also, with a rapid increase in the number of inter-religious and inter-communal marriages, people have started adopting the best from all cultures across the country. This year, ‘Jaguar Trousseau Week’ will focus on the rich culture and heritage that defines an Indian wedding, with special emphasis on the artisans who have helped keep our traditions alive by their contribution to the handloom/handwoven industry.

About Jaguar Trousseau Week 2014:
An Indian wedding today includes the most fun rituals from all cultures and is an amalgamation of activities leading up to the actual wedding. The ‘Sangeet’ ceremony, which was primarily a North Indian custom, has now found its place in every wedding across the country. And even though people have adopted the Western culture with fervor in India, what has remained constant is traditional clothes and jewellery, donned by everyone – family and friends alike, during the various wedding ceremonies. This year’s Trousseau Week pays a special tribute to the artisans who have contributed immensely to keep this industry alive. The festival will provide an opportunity to all visiting UB City to try their hand at some interactive weaving, guided by a weaver, at a handloom that will be installed there. Pragati Mathur – Textile Designer and Weaving Artist who is bringing this to UB City will also be available to accept orders for the elusive handloom/handwoven sarees, shawls, dupattas and wall textiles, etc. Orders can be placed on the basis of samples available for visual reference. In addition, Jaguar Trousseau Week 2014 will provide the best of wedding couture, wedding planners, designers, wedding photographers, banquets, tourism boards and international & national luxury brands, all on one platform.

This year’s theme is “The Traditional Indian Wedding” and the fluid expanse of The Collection, UB City will be transformed to complement this theme. The space will be accentuated with theme-based installations like an enormous wedding cake, a bejeweled groom pagdi, photo frame hangings, and an in-lit elephant sculpture. Smaller rituals will also be depicted using similar installations. For example, a giant groom mojri will be installed for the ‘Joota Chupai’ ceremony, larger than life kaliras will be installed to speak of the associated ceremony, and a decorated swing will be installed to signify yet another South Indian custom – ‘Oonchal’.

Lounges at Jaguar Trousseau Week 2014:
In its 5th Edition, ‘Trousseau Week’ has truly surpassed all previous benchmarks. With participation from stalwarts of the fashion design industry like Neeta Lulla, Raghavendra Rathore, JJ Valaya and Satya Paul, the event this year is a dream come true for brides and grooms to be. Relationship Expert Says “Like Yourself – Like Your Marriage”

Speaks on Self Worth While Releasing Second Book.

Mora, MN (USA), October 22, 2014 — Lisa Cassman, a licensed counselor, author, ordained minister and speaker, says men and women need to learn how to like themselves. She says liking yourself makes all the difference in any relationship, especially marriage. She recently wrote her second relationship book, “The Light in Your Eyes,” published by Halo Publishing International. It’s a poetic journey with her husband.

“When you learn who you are, you can learn to like yourself, then you can give more in a relationship instead of taking all the time,” says Cassman. “When both a husband and spouse can learn to do this successfully they can have a happier marriage.”

Research shows that self esteem is a huge issue globally, especially in women. One study shows only 4% of women think of themselves as beautiful, while 80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful but do not see their own beauty.

Cassman says these stats are a product of what’s really going on inside of woman – her self worth. She knows because she also struggled growing up with low self-esteem and self worth. That’s why she speaks and writes from her own experience through sexual abuse, and a struggling marriage that ended in divorce. Through her faith and learning to like herself, she received healing. Now she’s married to the man of her dreams.

In her self-worth seminars, Cassman gives keys to help others find out what causes low self-worth and avenues toward solutions, while also encouraging attendees to draw on their faith for healing.

“Lisa’s seminars and books weave a dynamic story of brokenness to wholeness, which helps others to do the same in their personal lives and marriages,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina.

Books:
“The Road Less Traveled… A Guide to a Positive Marriage,” was inspired while on a road trip with her husband in his semi-truck traveling along the West Coast. From her professional experience, she pours her inspirational insight and her own personal understanding of relationships into her work and guiding others through marriage. You can purchase it for $12.95

“The Light in Your Eyes,” written across the last 30 years, documents Cassman’s journey into what love means, as her husband, Steve, showed her, starting when they were hopeful teens. You can purchase it for $11.95.

You can book Cassman as a speaker or wedding officiant by visiting www.LisaCassman.net.

Biography:
A Minnesota native, Lisa Cassman has more than 20 years experience counseling children and families in the church, as well as working with sexual abuse and domestic violence victims at a crisis center. She has a bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling from the Pastoral Counseling Center, which is accredited through the National Christian Counseling Association (NCCA), and is also certified to administer the Arno Profile System (A.P.S.) report, which is a personal identification/inventory. She and her husband have four children together and six grandchildren. She enjoys speaking at women’s conferences and traveling to officiate weddings.

Loving Tips to Help Keep Relationships Strong and Happy

Author Lisa Cassman knows something about marriage, specifically when one is good and when one is not.

Houston, TX (USA), December 08, 2012 — Author Lisa Cassman knows something about marriage, specifically when one is good and when one is not. She hopes to share tips with other couples on how to have a strong and loving marriage through her new book The Road Less Traveled, a Guide to a Positive Marriage, available through Halo Publishing International.

Written while traveling the road with her husband, Steve, a driver for Schneider National, Inc., Cassman says the book is a “common-sense guide on marriage that offers practical ideas for any married couple, whether you have been married for a long time, recently tied the knot or planning to in the near future.” “It is important to keep dating,” she said. “That’s what we do; think of ourselves as being on a date.”

The Road Less Traveled, a Guide to a Positive Marriage is Cassman’s first book. “I wrote while in the truck, writing by hand all the positive things I liked about what Steve does for me,” the author explained. “I had time in the truck, so I thought about our marriage and how I would like others to be as happy as we are. We have a very positive marriage and find the good in each other. We seem to talk and not yell and work together on issues we may have.”

“Steve thinks about me before himself and if this can help someone’s marriage that would be awesome,” Cassman said. She said her first marriage was not a happy one. When it ended, she reconnected with Steve, who she had met at a Christian camp during her teen years. She said they kept in touch for a while after returning home from the camp, but both moved on with their lives. Reuniting has been truly a blessing, Cassman said, and the couple recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary. “He listens to me. We talk about ideas and our future and we genuinely care about each other.”

Halo Publisher ( http://www.halopublishing.com ) Lisa Umina said couples can benefit from reading Cassman’s tips. “Offering simple solutions to everyday romantic ruts, the author spells out what couples need to do to keep the fire in their relationship alive and the flame burning brighter than before,” Umina said.

Cassman said she once dreamed of a having a healthy, happy marriage, traveling and writing a book. These dreams have become her reality.

Both natives of Minnesota, Lisa is from Menahga and Steve is from Mora. The couple has four sons and four grandchildren.

Buffalo, NY, October 17, 2012 – Military spouse website, SalutetoSpouses.com today announced a new webinar in its yearlong “Salute to Homecoming” campaign. The webinar, titled “How to Recognize PTSD and Keep it from Ruining Your Marriage” will be held on October 24 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. EDT. By highlighting signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and how the disorder affects a military couple’s relationship, the webinar will dive deep into an issue impacting the lives of many military families.

The webinar’s featured speaker is Nicole Pukay-Martin, PhD. Anecdotes And A Philosphy Of Life From A Family Of Sixteen

Is there an uneasiness that tugs at you from your interior? What is the meaning and purpose of life? Do you want to live in the world without being of the world? How can one achieve true happiness and fulfillment? These are questions addressed in BETTER BY THE DOZEN, PLUS TWO, subtitled Anecdotes and a Philosophy of Life from a Family of Sixteen, written by James and Kathleen Littleton, parents in the process of raising fourteen living children.

This unique and inspiring book unmasks many of the fundamental errors of our time, with the authors offering a concrete hierarchy of values or priorities to live by in the midst of what they describe as a seriously disordered modern dominant culture. It is designed to be an appealing and interesting read for anyone and everyone intended to move the reader to serious reflection on the state of his or her life, and to hopefully come away with some helpful resolutions of a spiritual and/or practical nature.

Praise for Better by the Dozen, Plus Two:

“Here’s a family you won’t forget. And reading about them will brighten your day and deepen your faith. I was blessed in meeting them because their three oldest girls attended or attend Ave Maria University —and we’re hoping the 11 younger siblings will follow in their footsteps! You’ll find 16 reasons for being joyfully counter-cultural.”
Fr. Joseph D. Fessio, S.J.
Editor, Ignatius Press and Theologian in Residence, Ave Maria University

“In Better by the Dozen, Plus Two James and Kathleen Littleton have written a truly profound book that may change your family forever. Through Scripture, Catechism, family anecdotes, and simple “how to” practical advice, this work will challenge and inspire all families both large and small. Throughout the book one thing is clear; the Littleton family perseveres and thrives because of God’s Sacramental Grace. Read this book and be encouraged. Read this book and be awed. Read this book and learn how you, too, can raise a family firmly rooted in Faith and Love for Christ and His Church.”

Superb! Superb! Superb! March 28, 2011I read this book at least once a year. I am now in my fourth reading since purchasing it. You will fall in love with this large, Irish Catholic family, as I have. Jim and Kathleen Littleton are devout Catholics who have not been afraid to make radical choices when it comes to living a Christ-centered life or raising a family in such a way that goes completely against the grain of the dominant culture. They have been such an inspiration to me. In fact, after my husband read this book, he decided to become a Catholic! The Littletons have 14 living children. In this book, they will share with you what they are convinced are God’s Hierarchy of Values, namely, God, Spouse, Children, Work, and then Service Work/Apostolate. They also discuss Marriage, Motherhood, Openness to Life, Formation of Children, Service, Cross-Carrying, and the necessity of possessing a sense of humor. Whenever I become discouraged as a parent, I know that it’s time to take this book off of the shelf and read it again. It is the only Catholic book on parenting and devotion that I continue to read over and over again. I eagerly await their next book, and hope that one day, there will be one. 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb! Superb! Superb! March 28, 2011 By Tara ( Alamogordo, NM)

Jim and Kathleen are a beautiful example of understanding, living, and teaching the Catholic faith. I felt like I wanted to be adopted by them! 5.0 out of 5 stars Motivating, October 12, 2007 By Suzanne Earl St. Joseph, pray for us! ( Illinois )

This book is proof that current cultural wisdom is wrong and that the Catholic teaching on openness to life is right. Who knows better, you or God? The Littletons are an excellent example of the generosity God is asking for. One important lesson pointed out by James and Kathleen Littleton is that the world looks at children as a burden which actually belittles the contribution that children bring. They are not just empty stomachs and brains demanding to be fed and sent to college. They are persons who contribute to the family from the day they are brought into it–and more and more as they mature. This book was like a pleasant stroll through a different world in which values were properly prioritized. I only wish there were more anecdotes about the children’s interaction with each other and the hostile world. I loved the one about two older kids saving 10 seats in a theater during the previews while the younger ones waited in the lobby so they didn’t have to look at all the junk in the previews. A good gift for your teenaged sons and daughters. A mandatory gift for Pre-Cana classes. Good idea for Engaged- and Marriage Encounter Weekend attendees. Five Stars Countercultural May 21, 2012 By Jeffery R. King.
