Baltimore, MD, November 29, 2012 – Incite Creative has been selected to host “Marketing Today for Small Businesses”, a nationwide radio show that is part of the Your15Minutes Radio Network™ and intended to provide business owners the information they need to take their business to the next level.

The monthly show will kick off on Thursday, January 10, 2013. The 30-minute broadcast will include discussions around timely topics, marketing trends and strategies that help small businesses succeed in a competitive marketplace. From brand positioning through creative implementation, including the pros and cons of both offline and online tools, as well as tips of the trade to help businesses grow without breaking the bank.

Each show will also include a guest. These guests will intentionally vary and include perspectives from other business owners who will share case study examples of what’s worked for them and what hasn’t, as well as industry experts who have products, services or tools that have proven useful to the small business market.

“We’re excited by this opportunity to engage with small business owners and decision makers across the country,” says Dina Wasmer, President of Incite Creative. “Although geography and other demographics certainly play a large part in strategic marketing, the pains business owners feel and the issues that keep them up at night have no boundaries. The RAACE Foundation Selects Incite Creative to Help Race Against the Abuse of Children Everywhere

The RAACE Foundation is dedicated to eliminating the epidemic of child sexual abuse by raising public awareness.

Baltimore, MD, November 10, 2012 – The RAACE Foundation is dedicated to eliminating the epidemic of child sexual abuse by raising public awareness. Its volunteers, advocates and members of TeamRAACE achieve the organization’s mission by competing in all forms of sports at venues coast-to-coast, as well as at business and community events nationwide. The RAACE Foundation also conducts speaking engagements and distributes awareness materials, all in the effort to keep children safe from abuse. Incite Creative, a local marketing and graphic design firm, has been selected to lead the Foundation’s brand building initiatives.

Statistics show that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18. Furthermore, in 95% of reported cases, the abuser is someone the child knows and trusts. Founded in 2004 by Baltimore businessman Kenneth Smith, The RAACE Foundation’s primary purpose is to educate — educate parents, children, and those who serve them — all in an effort to protect them from becoming one of these staggering statistics. In an effort to build upon the Foundation’s existing brand awareness and put a “circle of trust” exercise into every parent’s/caregiver’s hands, Smith and Executive Director Brad Brickel reached out to Incite Creative to help further their mission.

“Over the past ten years, we have been working hard to situate The Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere Foundation in the public eye,” states Smith. Every September we take a strategic look at the organization, specifically aligning our discipline and values with our needs and goals to understand our next step. The result this year was that in order to get to the next level, we needed a fresh look at The RAACE Foundation; one from the outside – with more experience in marketing and social media skills, one that could support and understand our core beliefs and core markets. After meeting with Dina Wasmer and her Incite Creative colleagues, the one thing that stood out was their ability to listen. They offered solutions and said that they could help without an extensive sales pitch. Simply put, we understood right away that they heard us loud and clear. They know our market and how to reach it. Their experience speaks for itself and we are very excited to get started. We are looking forward to a long and storied relationship.”

As the Foundation’s outsourced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Incite Creative will kick things off by launching an Annual Fund campaign, then develop and implement a strategic marketing plan for 2013 that includes tactics for building ambassadors who are willing to take part in The RAACE Foundation’s “Time to Talk” program.

“We’re fortunate to work with a number of child-serving organizations, including schools, autism awareness initiatives, and child advocacy organizations”, states Wasmer. “Therefore when we were first introduced to The RAACE Foundation, we were excited and confident that we could play a pivotal role in helping this worthwhile organization succeed. After meeting with Kenneth and Brad, my colleagues and I absorbed their passion and tenacity to drive child sexual abuse out of the shadows, and are honored to be part of their team.”

Incite Creative and SmallBizMedia.TV Join Forces

Maria Fuster, President and Founder of SmallBizMedia.TV and her team of online marketing strategists, researchers and social media experts, have officially joined Dina Wasmer, President and Founder of Incite Creative, Inc.

Cockeysville, MD, November 03, 2012 – Incite Creative, Inc. and SmallBizMedia.TV are pleased to announce a merger, which officially took place on October 15, 2012.

After two years of successful collaboration, Maria Fuster, President and Co-Founder of SmallBizMedia.TV and her team of online marketing strategists, researchers and social media experts, have officially joined Dina Wasmer, President and Co-Founder of Incite Creative, Inc., a well-established marketing strategy and graphic design firm.

Maria now carries the title of Vice President and Director of Online Brand Building for Incite Creative, a role she accepted earlier this year.

“When Maria approached me on LinkedIn two years ago, I have to admit that I was skeptical only because it was not the first request for business collaboration and partnering that I’ve heard over the years,” says Dina Wasmer. “Having built Incite Creative from the ground up nearly 13 years ago, it’s my baby and I’m not going to let just anyone be part of the family. But after just a few conversations and successful project collaborations, I knew I’d found the perfect complement to Incite Creative. Maria and her team of online brand builders supplement my team’s emphasis on strategic brand positioning, and pair well with our core expertise in offline brand implementation. Perhaps even more importantly to me, Maria shares my work ethic, high standards, and desire to help our clients succeed.”

Maria Fuster states, “I’m thrilled to bring SmallBizMedia.TV and our clients under the Incite Creative name. I was initially drawn to the firm because of its strategic process and now Dina and I are like the ‘dynamic duo’ — bringing both offline and online brand building strategies and tools to the table to benefit our clients, both large and small.”

The merger will double Incite Creative’s team and enhance its ability to continue to serve well-established businesses and organizations, and open its doors to entrepreneurial businesses that need professional guidance on a small business budget.

Incite Creative’s new mailing address is P.O. Box 95, Cockeysville, MD 21030. It’s phone, fax, email and web addresses all remain the same and are listed below:

Incite Creative Shines the Spotlight on Flickering Treasures

Upcoming Photo Book Receives a $10,000 Matching Grant

Baltimore, MD, September 29, 2012 – We remember stars like Clark Gable, Will Rogers, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, whose names appeared on the marquees of our local movie houses, but what about the theaters that made these stars larger than life? The neon signs proclaiming the Stanley, Century, Royal, Forest, Arcade and Broadway are long gone, and the experience of seeing a movie in a gilded setting with velvet curtains is but a fleeting memory for most Baltimoreans. Photographer Amy Davis is bringing our beloved cinemas back to life in her upcoming photo book, “Flickering Treasures: Rediscovering Baltimore’s Forgotten Movie Theaters,” to be published in the fall of 2014.

Flickering Treasures” combines rare black and white pictures with Amy’s fine art photography to tell the story of these motion picture meccas where movie-goers flocked to escape their daily lives. The quality of Amy’s photos reflects her award-winning work as a photojournalist at The Baltimore Sun. Reminiscences from Barry Levinson, John Waters and others prove that our magnificent movie palaces and humble nickelodeons have vanished from our lives, but not our imagination. These photos and stories celebrating 50-plus theaters tell a fresh story of Baltimore City in the 20th century.

Amy has partnered with Creative Alliance, Inc, a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization, to be the financial sponsor for “Flickering Treasures.” Thus far, they have raised over half of the $45,000 required to get the book to print. To help further raise awareness, donations, and inspire advocacy, Amy contacted Incite Creative, a marketing and graphic design firm.

Incite took a multi-channel approach by creating a direct mail design for postcards that can be delivered as printed copies, as a PDF file for electronic distribution, or converted into a poster-size print. Additionally, Incite designed a Facebook fan page that includes additional information and photos.

“I love going to the movies,” says Dina Wasmer, President of Incite Creative. “After a long workweek, there’s nothing better than grabbing a friend, a big bag of popcorn and settling into a comfy seat in front of a big screen. And no, I’m not talking about a TV. I mean the real big screen! And it’s sad that so many of our city’s theatres have only their marquee left to signify their existence. We all need to escape from reality sometimes and when we learned about Flickering Treasures’ initiative to keep movie screen memories alive, we were excited to play a role.”

Since the campaign began, a local foundation has awarded “Flickering Treasures” a matching grant of $10,000. Now is the ideal time to become a sponsor and share our theater memories with future generations in this high-quality photo book. Contributions for “Flickering Treasures” are tax deductible. Flickering Treasures will also spark a dialogue about how to re-invent our old movie houses so that they can once again become a vibrant part of the community. Be a part of this change by supporting “Flickering Treasures.”

For more about “Flickering Treasures,” please visit the Facebook fan page at: https://www.facebook.com/flickeringtreasures. Parties interested in donating to this worthy cause can download a PDF form by clicking on the “Support” tab on the fan page.

Incite Creative Builds Brands for Two Innovators of the Year Recipients

The 2012 “Innovator of the Year” award winners were recently announced and include two of Incite Creative’s clients: 1sqbox™ and Healthplan Headquarters™.

Baltimore, MD, September 11, 2012 – Each year The Daily Record recognizes Maryland’s individuals and companies that have created a product, service or process that has had a positive effect on their business, industry or community. Incite Creative is honored that two of this year’s 20 award recipients benefited from the firm’s marketing and brand building services.

1sqbox is an intuitive management system that allows teachers, students, principals and parents to communicate in real time via its state-of-the-art tablet centric application. Everything that is needed for classroom management, student learning, administrative tools and parental monitoring is housed in one central application — its all-inclusive square box. Incite Creative capitalized on the name and product concept and created a logo and an innovative business development packaging system that reinforces the company’s desired brand message.

HealthPlan Headquarters is the first of its kind in Maryland, offering insurance in a retail location where consumers can walk in and shop for their insurance coverage. Created to help individuals and employers navigate the complex world of insurance, Healthplan Headquarters offers self-service kiosks and one-on-one consultations with experienced and knowledgeable insurance specialists, as well as health and wellness resources for the community. Incite Creative helped strategically position and brand the new entity by creating its name, tagline, logo, website and targeted sales kit materials.

“Starting a new company is always overwhelming, even for those of us who’ve been down that road before”, states Suzanne Thompson, president and founder of Healthplan Headquarters. “Determining how you want your business to be perceived and coming up with a brand identity that fits that desired perception is critical to its success. As a retail insurance company, the name “Healthplan Headquarters” and the innovative logo, marketing materials and website that Incite Creative developed for us has been huge in terms of creating brand awareness. After only two years in business, we now have three stores and have plans to open up additional stores throughout Maryland.”

The Innovator of the Year awards ceremony will take place on October 24, 2012 at the American Visionary Art Museum.

Incite Creative Named as Finalist for AMA Baltimore Marketing Excellence Award

The American Marketing Association (AMA), one of the world’s largest marketing associations, conducts an annual review of the best local marketing campaigns with demonstrable success.

Baltimore, MD, July 02, 2012 – The American Marketing Association (AMA), one of the world’s largest marketing associations, conducts an annual review of the best local marketing campaigns with demonstrable success. Incite Creative, a Baltimore-based marketing and graphic design firm that provides strategic and creative solutions to corporate and non-profit clients, was recently named by the AMA’s Baltimore chapter as a finalist for their Marketing Excellence Award.

The marketing association performed a review of Incite Creative’s work with The Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation in support of the Baltimore Elementary/Middle School Library Project. This multi-million dollar, multi-year initiative works with local schools by designing, building, equipping, and staffing new or renovated school libraries to improve the reading proficiency in Baltimore’s elementary and middle schools. Incite Creative’s challenge was to create a marketing campaign to generate awareness and involvement from government officials, state agencies, heads of education, and the general public.

Before the project launched in December 2011, Incite conducted focus groups with age-appropriate children and their parents to help provide the strategy for the campaign. As a result of the feedback, Incite designed the Library Project’s multi-color logo that represents books and the urban landscape. Additional brand touch points, including print and electronic invitations, book marks, book plates, signage and support marketing materials were also created.

Among other utility, these pieces were used to generate publicity for the Book Drive, a community-wide effort to collect books during the state’s Read Across Maryland month in March. As of April, the Book Drive resulted in the collection of close to 10,000 books.

In addition to working with the Weinberg Foundation on this project, Incite Creative has a long history of successfully assisting non-profit organizations with brand development and creative services. Some other non-profits that Incite has worked with include:

Autism Society of America Baltimore/Chesapeake Chapter
By Their Side
Center for Medical Technology Policy
Moveable Feast

Tissue Banks International

“We enjoy building brands for a variety of industries, but we do hold a special place in our hearts for nonprofit organizations. In addition to feeling a sense of pride in helping them fulfill their mission, we also find that nonprofits are typically very receptive to our suggestions and grateful for our help. In an age where the workday never ends and client demands can be draining, a simple ‘thank you so much!’ or, ‘we could have never done this without you’ on the other end of the line is a welcome reminder that our work is valued and our skills are appreciated,” said Dina Wasmer, President of Incite Creative Inc.

The American Marketing Association will be holding their annual event at the American Visionary Art Museum on September 5th to announce the winners.

Incite Creative to Design Center for Vein Restoration’s Patient Information Materials

Center for Vein Restoration (CVR), with 18 clinics in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Michigan, is a rapidly growing group of clinics in venous insufficiency, the medical condition behind varicose veins and spider veins.

Baltimore, MD, May 02, 2012 – Center for Vein Restoration (CVR), with 18 clinics in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Michigan, is a rapidly growing group of clinics in venous insufficiency, the medical condition behind varicose veins and spider veins. As the company continues to thrive, it has been seeking ways to improve the communication of its services to its patients. As a result, CVR reached out to Incite Creative to help expand its offering of patient information materials.

It is estimated that 10 to 20 percent of all adults in the US are affected by venous insufficiency, with conditions ranging from embarrassing looking veins to severely curtailed mobility due to pain, fatigue, ulcers, and more. CVR hired Incite Creative to design new patient brochures and handbooks — building on CVR’s successful web and print advertising campaign — to better educate patients and their families on treatment options as well as help to continue the building of Center for Vein Restoration’s brand.

As a leading marketing and graphic design firm to the medical industry, Incite Creative is an excellent fit for CVR on its latest project. Incite’s president, Dina Wasmer has over 20 years experience creating marketing and branding programs for the healthcare industry. Prior to founding Incite in 1999, Dina led the publications department at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (now the Bloomberg School of Public Health). Since that time, Incite has specialized in providing marketing, branding, and creative services to a wide range of healthcare/medical institutions, companies, and nonprofits.

“Being selected to work with the Center for Vein Restoration is a testament to our depth of healthcare/medical experience, and we’re excited about this new collaboration. CVR will bring comfort and confidence to people who’ve been searching for a solution to their varicose and spider vein issues, and my team and I welcome the opportunity to help CVR reach those in need of their services,” said Dina Wasmer.

Incite Creative is a Supporting Partner for the Baltimore Library Project Book Drive

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation in partnership with Baltimore Reads recently launched a new chapter of the Baltimore Elementary and Middle School Library Project on March 2nd.

Baltimore, MD, March 10, 2012 – The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation in partnership with Baltimore Reads recently launched a new chapter of the Baltimore Elementary and Middle School Library Project on March 2nd. The mission of this multi-year collaborative effort is to design, build, equip and staff new or renovated elementary and middle school libraries in low academic achievement, high-poverty neighborhoods.

Originally launched in December 2011, the initiative’s goal is to raise approximately $3.8 million from community and government partners. At the beginning of March, the project kicked-off its newest phase in honor of Read Across Maryland month by bringing together more than 40 local partners to assist with a book drive. The books are for local school libraries and for students between the ages of 3 – 14 to take home to build their own libraries. Additionally, the Weinberg Foundation announced another $1 million in funding for the second year of the project.

Governor O’Malley was on-hand to speak at the recent event. In attendance were a number of Baltimore-based businesses including Incite Creative Inc, a leading marketing and graphic design firm that specializes in assisting nonprofits. Incite has shown its support for the Library Book Drive as a sponsor and active member of the Library Project advisory committee, in addition to creating the project’s multi-color logo that represents books and the urban landscape. Incite Creative conducted focus groups with age-appropriate children and their parents to help provide the strategy for the logo and other brand enhancing elements also, including print and electronic invitations, book marks, book plates, signage and other marketing collateral.

“We’re honored to play a role in such an important and worthwhile endeavor,” says Incite Creative President, Dina Wasmer. “To see the logo and brand elements leveraged and extended into the architecture of the physical and interior spaces is very rewarding because it adds an extra level of visibility and timelessness to our contributions, and for us, that’s the cherry on top of an already fun project. Participation in the Book Drive was a natural next step in our journey with the project.”

For those who would like to donate books to the drive, they can go to any one of 80 drop-off locations in the Baltimore area or at the State House in Annapolis, and to one of the 20 MVA locations throughout the state.

Please visit http://hjweinbergfoundation.org/ to learn more about The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. For more information about the Baltimore Elementary and Middle School Library Project and to support their drive, go to their website at http://www.baltimorelibraryproject.org/.

She Counts, Inc. Selects Dina Wasmer from Incite Creative to Be a Mentor

She Counts, Inc., a non-profit youth professional development organization fills the void by engaging young girls, grades 6 through 12

Baltimore, MD, February 24, 2012 – With the number of women-owned businesses on the rise and the lack of finance and business curriculum in our K-12 educational system, who’s inspiring and mentoring the next generation of female entrepreneurs? She Counts, Inc., a non-profit youth professional development organization fills the void by engaging young girls, grades 6 through 12, in their business training programs with the help of qualified local women leaders. They have selected Dina Wasmer, President and Founder of Incite Creative to participate as a mentor.

She Counts sets up monthly mastermind groups for young female entrepreneurs and mentors to develop new meaningful friendships, engage in healthy conversations, and enjoy other social activities. Additionally, the girls can participate in a six-week entrepreneur development program and a four-week summer camp to learn how to meet the challenges of planning, raising funds, marketing, and managing successful businesses. The program includes basic business vocabulary, marketing, networking, negotiation, sales, record keeping, problem solving, customer service, and ethics.

In an effort to align professionals that would be an ideal fit for their cause, She Counts reached out to Dina Wasmer. In addition to launching and helming Incite Creative for the past 12 years as a leading marketing and graphic design firm, some of Dina’s other career achievements include being named to The Daily Record’s VIPs Under 40 and Maryland’s Top 100 Women lists in 2010, as well as serving on the Board of Trustees for The Children’s Guild. This balance of business and socially involved leadership mirrors the qualities that She Counts teaches.

“As a business owner, I value the mission and tactical strategies She Counts has in place to teach young girls at an early age that their aspirations of entrepreneurship is within their reach,” says Dina. “As a teacher, I look forward to providing a guiding hand to my mentee and helping her find her own unique path. As a young girl myself (30-some odd years ago), I’ve been in her shoes, and am excited for her to see what’s possible when her shoes get a little bigger.”

She Counts Inc is now enrolling girls in the organization’s teen business training program, “She’s Got Her Own.” For more information about this program and to work with mentors like Dina Wasmer, go to the She Counts Inc website at: www.SheCounts.com or contact the organization by phone Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST at (410) 449-GIRL (4475).
