God’s Eternal Purpose Volume Two: The Identity of the Sons of God: The Image of Jesus Christ

In the newest book from prolific author Clement Butler, he helps the reader learn, through Scripture, the identity of the sons of God, and God’s purpose for our life.

Nassau, Bahamas, October 20th, 2017 — As you look into the face of your fellow man/woman, do you see the image of Christ? In the newest book from prolific author Clement Butler, he helps the reader learn, through Scripture, the identity of the sons of God, and God’s purpose for our life.

“What is the hope of our calling?” asks author Clement Butler. “The Father has already determined our destiny. He wants us to be just like Him. So how do we achieve that life? It involves a journey of transformation and moving from glory to glory. God’s eternal purpose includes not just the establishment of His Kingdom on Earth, but also the development of sons (daughters) who are inheritors of the Kingdom.”

In this, the fourth book in Butler’s “Teacher Series,” he uses Scripture to help us understand God’s purpose through us. It is a high calling, to be a disciple of Christ, which is an extension of The Father, and in this volume, The Image of Jesus Christ, Butler helps readers understand the transformation that must take place in order to develop/mature as sons of God.

This is a companion text to the first book “God’s Eternal Purpose: The Establishment of God’s Kingdom” which should be read first to truly grasp the full value of Butler’s message. Butler believes that readers must first understand God’s Purpose before we can understand our role in that overall vision. Butler references Romans 8:29 as a primary text for the foundation of his latest book:

Romans 8:29-30
29-30 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. (The Message (MSG))

“Readers can take comfort in God’s assurance that He has a purpose and that He requires our heart to fulfil that purpose,” said Butler. “It is a process that involves chastisement, mortification, life beyond the veil, and entering into His rest. It is, therefore, the purpose of this book to detail the journey to this destination, the journey to the image of Christ.”

Proverbs 3:6 reminds us; “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (NKJV) and in his newest book Butler provides instruction to assist us on our journey as we strive to conform to His image and move from glory to glory.

Butler is also the author of recently released “God’s Eternal Purpose: The Establishment of God’s Kingdom” which is the third in author Clement Butler’s Teacher Series and Volume One in a two-part examination of the creation, foundation and understanding of God’s Kingdom. In this book Butler focuses on what God’s purpose is for humanity and the establishment of His Kingdom. “God’s Eternal Purpose” is available at Amazon.

God’s Eternal Purpose Volume Two: The Identity of the Sons of God: The Image of Jesus Christ is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in hard cover for $29.95 and $9.95 for the e-book.

Teach Children a Love of Nature with “Mother Earth, Brother Sun, Sister Moon,” A New Children’s Story

In O’Dell’s children’s story Mother Earth, Brother Sun, Sister Moon, we are invited to take our children by the hand and share in its wonders.

Galena, OH (USA), October 16th, 2017 — We only have one earth; one planet that sustains us and provides water, shade and an abundance of beauty. In O’Dell’s children’s story Mother Earth, Brother Sun, Sister Moon, we are invited to take our children by the hand and share in its wonders.

“My wife and I have long held a love of nature and I wanted to create a book for my children that expressed that wonder and delight in the environment,” said first time children’s author Kevin M. O’Dell. “Writing this story was a true labor of love and a wonderful opportunity to include my sister as she is the illustrator of the story.”

Illustrator, Megan Philips and the author spent many wonderful vacations hiking, fishing and camping with their father and together they have created a beautiful tribute to their father who first introduced them to the wonders of Mother Earth.

In the story, father and son explore the outdoors, the plants, trees and wildlife that live among the woods. While sharing their adventure, the father has the opportunity to teach his son about the importance of nature and how to care for our environment.

“My hope is to pass along the love of nature my father instilled in our family, to my children and to those that read the book,” said O’Dell. “This book is meant to be enjoyed and shared.”

The author lives in the country and is raising his children to enjoy nature walks, camping, fishing and basically anything that gets them out into nature.

There is a lesson that can be learned by studying the balance of nature. O’Dell helps readers see how animals, plants and the sun cooperate and work together. We can learn a lot about how to live and be with each other by studying the harmony found in nature. Mother Earth, Brother Sun, Sister Moon will help parents inspire their families to do their own exploring.

“Children today spend more time on their smart devices than playing outside,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “This delightful story will encourage parents and their children to do their own exploring of nature and hopefully find ways to sustain and care for our environment.”

Mother Earth, Brother Sun, Sister Moon, is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in paperback for $12.95 and $7.99 for the e-book.

A Universal Message of Kindness in the Debut Children’s Story “The Christmas Tree Nobody Wanted”

First time children’s author Jerry Rosenstein brings to life a message of kindness, creativity and generosity with his story of Jeffrey and his father.

Los Angeles, CA (USA), September 16th, 2017 — In a time where news tends to vacillate between political division and natural disasters comes a sweet, children’s story that transcends season, age and ethnicity. First time children’s author Jerry Rosenstein brings to life a message of kindness, creativity and generosity with his story of Jeffrey and his father. Although Jeffrey excitedly awaits the wonders of Christmas, he is also aware of those less fortunate and thus begins his tale of giving.

“I wanted to create a story that helped parents talk with their children about the benefits of giving to those less fortunate,” said author Jerry Rosenstein. “It starts with a real experience I had with my children in which we wondered what happened to the left over trees that have been cut down for Christmas. Like the character Jeffrey, we wondered what would happen if we spruced those trees up to give to someone who otherwise might not have a decorated tree for the holidays.”

That simple act is the foundation of the powerful message Rosenstein hopes parents impart on their children. Everyone deserves to have a sense of peace; a sense of trust in the fact that they know where their next meal will come from and that they’ll have a roof over their heads. For those who are less fortunate, we can come together and make a difference. Every little action of kindness can have a powerful and life altering impact.

“The Christmas Tree Nobody Wanted” will inspire children to ask the question – ‘what can I do to help’ and hopefully will create a parent/child bonding time like Jeffrey has with his father as they work together to fix and deliver the Christmas tree.

“I am hoping to spark an interest in what it means to give rather than receive,” said Rosenstein. “Perhaps parents will find ways to instill a sense of generosity in their children; taking them to the food bank to deliver food, perhaps going through their own toys and donate those gently used and yes, find a Christmas Tree nobody wants to decorate and give to someone less fortunate.”

“The message of kindness and giving is so important today,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “This story is one that I hope parents will read to their children long after the holiday season is over for the needs will continue. Creating a lifetime habit of giving is a gift that we should all impart on our children.”

The author, who has a child with multiple myeloma, plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to one of the cancer-oriented hospitals in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, if a non-profit organization is interested in using “The Christmas Tree Nobody Wanted” for fund raising, contact Jerry Rosenstein directly for more information on potential opportunities. jrosenstein@pioneermagnetics.com

“The Christmas Tree Nobody Wanted” is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in hardcover for $19.95 paperback for $12.95 and as an e-book $6.95.

A Community Comes Together in the Delightful Children’s Story “Have You Seen Henry?”

Author Michael Worley has been creating stories and drawing cartoons since he was a little boy.

Dallas, TX (USA), May 13th, 2017 — Author Michael Worley has been creating stories and drawing cartoons since he was a little boy. His imagination has spawned several other children’s stories including “Sonny the Scarecrow”, “The Quiet Giant”, “A Dog’s Tale”, “Everett the Piano” and “Lacey Shoestring’s Amazing Red Wagon Adventure.” In “Have You Seen Henry?” Worley was inspired by an actual possum encounter in his backyard.

“There was something so intriguing and fun about the possum that wandered into my backyard that I couldn’t resist featuring him in a children’s story,” said Worley. “I love animals and how they interact and as I was writing the story of Henry I began to imagine a community of animals within a neighborhood who are willing to work together for a common good.”

Each of the characters in “Have You Seen Henry?” are beautifully brought to life by illustrator Jorge Chiquillo. Worley uses repetition and clever alliteration with each character’s name like Frieda Fox, Amy Armadillo, and Roger Rooster which help children remember a growing number of adorable animals who come to the aide of Henry’s wife, Henrietta. As the story progresses and tensions mount, Worley shows how friends can encourage and support each other even in difficult times.

“I hope children will learn a lesson in the value of friendship,” said Worley. “In my life I have seen first hand the benefits of willing to help others in their time of need. I believe it is an especially important lesson for children to learn from a young age. Rather than finding fault, we should look for ways to come together with kindness, generosity and friendship.”

“Michael has written such a fun story that children will want to read it over and over,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “Each page of the story introduces a new character, building a growing community of friends who are on a hunt for the missing Henry. Children and parents will laugh out loud at the conclusion when they discover Henry in the last place imaginable.”

Worley is hard at work creating a new story about an unlikely alien named George the Goon that he hopes will be brought to life in a feature length animated movie. In the meantime, look for upcoming sequels to “Lacey Shoestring’s Amazing Red Wagon Adventure” and the further adventures of Rex the Dog and Rudy the Rabbit from “A Dog’s Tale.”

“Have You Seen Henry?” is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in hard cover for $17.95.

“Acorn Gert and BrotherBert” is a Delightful Tale of Uncovering Our Potential in Life

Meet Acorn Gert, a delightful, energetic acorn who loves her brother Bert and their life under a great oak tree. Gert and Bert are happy frolicking in the leaves until their friend, the wise owl, lets them in on a secret.

Cleveland, OH (USA), December 1st, 2016 — Meet Acorn Gert, a delightful, energetic acorn who loves her brother Bert and their life under a great oak tree. Gert and Bert are happy frolicking in the leaves until their friend, the wise owl, lets them in on a secret. They have more potential and will offer more in life than just two sweet little acorns playing in the dirt. “Acorn Gert and Brother Bert” remind us that, just like acorns, we all have seeds of potential, our God-given gifts that are meant to grow into something amazing.

“As the mother of eight wonderful children, each one uniquely their own, I wanted to create a children’s story that would celebrate the individual potential of each child and encourage readers to cherish and nurture their own unique value,” said author Elizabeth Duncan Stretar. “I am hoping parents will be able to use the message of Acorn Gert as a starting point for conversations about potential with their children.”

“Acorn Gert and Brother Bert” is told in rhyme, with a joyful rhythm that children will enjoy and ask to have read repeatedly. The colorful characters, drawn by illustrator Rosemarie Gillen help bring the story to life. At the end of the story Stretar has included additional information to help parents and educators use the story with intention to help discover the untapped talents of children.

“It is important that we talk about the seeds that have been planted in our children from a young age,” said Stretar. “My hope is that the characters will make the story memorable and the importance of discovering each child’s inner purpose becomes a regular conversation with parents and educators.”

Stretar aims help parents nurture their children’s potential and help them grow to become all they were meant to be. To that end, “Acorn Gert and Brother Bert” is meant to be tool to stimulate fun, meaningful conversation between adults and children. It is the first in a series of delightful children’s stories featuring the main acorn characters. In the next edition Acorn Gert – Gets a Brand New Skirt, which will highlight the simple pleasures of playing dress-up and igniting imaginative paly in the lives of children.

“I have so enjoyed working with Elizabeth on this project,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “Acorn Gert and Brother Bert is such an important book for parents to read to their children. Santa’s Secret Wish Offers Message of Gratitude

“K” Stone has done it again. Taking inspiration from her grandchild, Charlotte, Stone has created a new twist on a classic holiday legend; Santa Claus.

San Antonio, TX (USA), September 29th, 2016 — “K” Stone has done it again. Taking inspiration from her grandchild, Charlotte, Stone has created a new twist on a classic holiday legend; Santa Claus. Have you ever wondered what Santa wishes for each year? Santa’s most loyal elf CB and Charlotte discover that Santa’s greatest wish is to receive as many letters after Christmas as he does before.

“I was inspired to write this story after my youngest grandchild, Charlotte, designed a colorful glitter and jewel bedecked thank you card for Santa,” said author “K” Stone. “She showed me her lovely creation filled with gratitude for all of the wonderful presents she had received and wanted to make sure that it was mailed directly to the North Pole. Her pure and grateful heart inspired this story that will hopefully encourage families to create a similar tradition in their home each holiday.”

Santa’s Secret Wish” is the second children’s story written by author and retired school teacher “K” Stone. Her first book, “’The Beach Fairy” was inspired by another true event, this one starring her oldest grand-daughter Georgia and their many treks to the beach.

Ms. Stone is a great believer in families and family traditions. She believes that literature should imitate life and wants to create wonderful memories for her grandchildren. “Santa’s Secret Wish” is a living legacy for her granddaughter and she plans to create a series of children’s stories steeped in family joy and love.

The message of being grateful is universal. “K” Stone’s story “Santa’s Secret Wish” is a great way of reminding children that, while it is fine to ask for what you want, it is just as important to be thankful and let the giver know just how much you appreciate his thoughtfulness. “Santa’s Secret Wish” is sure to become a classic holiday tale that families read to their children every Christmas.

Newly Released Dagah: The Great Fish is a Whale of a Tale!

Author Victoria McCarty Pens a Heartfelt Children’s Story of Faith and Trust.

Baltimore, MD (USA), August 26th, 2016 — We are familiar with the story of Jonah, a Bible story of epic proportions told of a man who is swallowed whole by a whale. But have we ever considered the story from the whale’s point of view? “Dagah: The Great Fish” is just that, the tale of a great whale who was called upon by God to participate in a mission far greater than he could have imagined.

“When my friend Inky asked the question – what did the whale think – it inspired me to create a colorful children’s book that would explore the relationship the fish had with God and how he came to swallow Jonah,” said author Victoria McCarty. “The question was asked jokingly but Inky really helped me delve into the story further and imagine what it would be like to be asked to do something far outside our comfort zone. “Dagah: The Great Fish” explores that experience. How do we respond when we are asked to do something we are sure we cannot.

In the story “Dagah: The Great Fish”, the main character is swimming along happily when he hears a voice that asks him to leave the comforts of home, food, and shelter and travel into the cold, dark waters of the unknown. Through a strong faith and trust in God, Dagah travels into a variety of interesting places and plays a major role in the story of Jonah, a simple man that God is also used for far greater good.

“Dagah: The Great Fish” is Victoria’s own experience in being asked to do something out of the norm. Prior to this story, Victoria has enjoyed writing but it was a very private endeavor. However, with “Dagah: The Great Fish” she felt called upon to create a story of faith and share it with the world.

“My hope is that “Dagah: The Great Fish” will resonate with young readers,” said McCarty. “Children have all experienced times when teachers, parents and other adults in their life have asked them to do something they felt was too difficult. Hopefully “Dagah: The Great Fish” will teach them that through faith and trust in God, who is always at their side offering support and comfort, they can accomplish great things.”

“Not only is this a wonderful children’s story,” said Lisa Umina, founder and publisher of Halo Publishing International, “but it is also a tale that will inspire parents to seek out more information about Jonah and other stories in the Bible that focus on God’s love and the importance of trusting in Him.”

Victoria’s story is accompanied by the beautiful art of her sister, Sarah Holtsberg, who is currently attending college. Her drawings bring the story of Dagah to life.

“Dagah: The Great Fish” is available through Halo Publishing as well as Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

About Victoria McCarty:
Victoria McCarty is an art teacher, writer and active participant in children’s ministry in rural Carroll County, Maryland. She resides with her husband, dog, and cat focusing on church activities and creating studio artwork. Sharing God’s word in creative ways is one of Victoria’s passions. “Dagah: The Great Fish” is her first published work.

Newly Published “Who Goes There” First in the Granny Gray Stories

Author LR Gray Pens Delightful Children’s Story Filled with Love and Laughter.

San Antonio, TX (USA), August 18th, 2016 — Remember a time when children would sit at the feet of their elders listening to imagined adventures? “Who Goes There,” the first in a series of children’s stories, tells the tale of Uncle Brother and the wild events that happen the night his truck breaks down. Is it his imagination or is it real?

“Time just goes so fast and I wanted to capture the fun stories and adventures told to me during my childhood,” said LR Gray, author and narrator of the Granny Gray series. “I have also fictionalized some of the events of my own children and grandchildren, turning them into creative and fun stories that will spark the imagination of children and their parents.”

The Granny Gray series of stories depict fictionalized family events, memories and creative “what if” scenarios designed to help children think more creatively. Each story, starting with “Who Goes There,” offers readers fun adventures that also share a message of being helpful, making a difference and being a good person.

“I wanted the stories to bring readers back to a time when children learned life lessons from their elders, where family members respected each other and sought out their advice and counsel,” said Gray. “In “Who Goes There,” I also wanted to pay tribute to my Uncle Jimmy “Bro” Baker who is an amazing human being. He is constantly looking for ways to help others and this first story from Granny Gray shows his generosity of spirit.”

“Who Goes There,” is being launched at a book release event dedicated to Brother Baker and will be held at his church, The New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on August 28, 2016. LR Gray will be on hand selling copies of her book and a significant portion of each sale will be donated to the church in Brother Baker’s name. The book launch is part of the church’s annual Family Reunion event and Ms. Gray will make a presentation at both services.

“LR Gray’s new book “Who Goes There,” is a wonderful addition to our collection of children’s books,” said Lisa Umina, founder and publisher of Halo Publishing International. “Each of her stories capture a simpler time where elders in the family, in this case Granny Gray, inspire the young to do good and to make a difference in their world. I am so excited to see the next in her series, Pillar and His Discoveries in the Rain Forest, due out early 2017.”

About LR Gray:
LR Gray is a loving grandmother and mother with a passion for preserving the stories of a simpler time where families came first.. L R Gray grew up in a large family, with lots of siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents and a godmother.. L R Gray loved the stories her family would share and the many others she would read in her spare time. From this she began to slip off to the wonderful world of imagination, which is where her writing began.
