SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Mercedes-Benz SL R231 Now Available

The aftermarket convertible top module offered by automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars is now available for the new Mercedes-Benz SL R231. It allows drivers to open and close the top while the car is moving at slow speeds with the touch of a button. Additionally the top can be operated from the original key fob remote with one-touch convenience. A custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter is part of the kit.

Las Vegas, NV (USA) – January 25, 2013 — Effective immediately, the SmartTOP convertible top controller offered by Mods4cars for the new Mercedes-Benz SL R231 Roadster is available for purchase and promises added convenience for the upcoming convertible season. The add-on module makes it possible to open and close the convertible top while driving at slow speeds (up to 60 km/h / ~38mph). Thanks to the built-in full auto one-touch operation it is not necessary to hold down the console switch; a quick tap is enough.

The module also allows one-touch control of the top from the original factory remote key fob. A quick key combination on the fob is enough to raise or lower the top. Additionally the SmartTOP increases the range for remote top operations. It is not necessary any more to stand right next to the car and hold down the button. No changes are necessary to the original fobs and receiver system.

“Apart from these main features we were able to integrate a couple of neat bonus features into the module.” says PR-Manager Sven Tornow. The factory provided keyless go system was taken into consideration and you can open or close the top just by tapping the door handle without the need to take the key out of the pocket. Independent remote operation of the windows and starting or stopping the engine while the top is being operated is possible as well.

Like all SmartTOP modules before, this product comes with a full set of user programmable features, including a simple way to turn the entire module off while keeping all user preferences. All programming is done via the fully integrated clear text setup menu which displays all options and settings in the dash display. The module is equipped with a standard USB port for quick and easy PC or Mac based configuration and firmware updates. The support software and updates are available online and free of charge. This is a unique service in this product segment.

Installation of the kit is very simple and straightforward thanks to the included, custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter. This adapter is manufactured using original OEM quality plugs and connectors and connects the module to the car electronics by simply connecting it in between. No wires need to be cut or spliced; the kit can be removed without leaving any traces.

SmartTOP convertible top modules are available for: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volkswagen and Volvo.

The kit for Mercedes-Benz SL R231 Roadster is available for 299 Euros + tax.

About Mods4cars:
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first SmartTOP roof controller was born.

The success of their first products in Germany and Europe prompted them in late 2004 to move operations to the USA, to be able to serve the American market as well as all other English speaking countries such as Australia, UK and South Africa from one central location. Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in Las Vegas and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

Being highly specialized in the development and distribution of aftermarket roof- and comfort controllers since 2002 allows them to offer an unsurpassed level of competence and product quality. Their main goal is optimization of each individual product to a maximum in compatibility, usability and intuitive operation. They put greatest effort into development and quality checks of all their products to achieve this goal and meet all expectations of their customers.

The extraordinary success of their products is also based on the great communication with their customers, which usually already starts for each new product during the development and prototyping phase.

Hong Kong – January 21, 2013 — Rubber Research, Inc. (RRI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Rubber Research Group, has initiated contact with the State of California as part of its attempt to enter the tire reclamation market there. California currently has a mandate to manage the more than 75 million tires in the state that require recycling. Scalada Holdings, Ltd to be Potential Game Changer for Development of Eagle Ford, Texas Oil and Gas Field

Scalada’s unique and patented technology for wastewater remediation will play a significant role in new oil boom and economic upswing in Southern Texas.

Singapore – January 18, 2013 — Titan Holdings Inc., through its engineering partner Cherokee Holdings LLC, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Scalada Holdings, Ltd., announced today that it has opened negotiations with land holders in Victoria, Texas, USA to establish a mobile plant to treat the waste water produced by hydraulic fracking in the Eagle Ford shale oil and gas field. The Eagle Ford is one of 20 new onshore fields which together could increase U.S. oil output by 25% in the next decade and dramatically reduce dependence on imported fuel and risky off-shore drilling.

Titan’s involvement in the development of Eagle Ford is significant because it brings to the table Scalada’s unique and patented Elemental Ionization System for remediation of the considerable amount of waste water produced in the fracking process. The system is considered the worldwide leader in the field because it cleans up wastewaters in ways that are economical, environmentally friendly and profitable. The system also has the distinct advantages over other frac water remediation systems of onsite placement and almost complete mobility.

The Eagle Ford Shale (EFS) is quite possibly the largest single economic development in the history of the State of Texas and ranks as the single largest oil and gas development in the world. More than a dozen companies plan to drill 3,000 wells over the next year in South Texas. With its first well drilled a mere three years ago, the Eagle Ford is already producing 100,000 barrels a day, with estimates of 420,000 barrels per day by as soon as 2015. Almost $30 billion will be spent to develop the play in 2013. The play had more than a $25 billion impact on the local South Texas economy in 2011.

According to Scalada ( http://www.scaladaholdings.net ) CEO Manly Logan, “Eagle Ford had more than a $25 billion impact on the South Texas economy last year, and we are confident that, once in place, our cutting edge and green technology will be one of the major drivers of the U.S. economy in the coming decade along with the added benefit of making the U.S. far less dependent on foreign oil.”

About Exack:
Exack is a Christian operated company based out of Marietta, GA. Focusing primarily on electronics, Exack was founded by an engineer who loves to think outside of the box and to find ways to solve problems to help others. The founder is a man who loves Jesus, is an avid photographer, and has an unusual fondness for garlic. Just your typical guy next door . . . who loves to invent things.

MemClick all began with the idea for an easy and quick way to remember all of those little things in life that get lost in the busyness of life. After searching the stores and trying multiple devices out there, he discovered that there wasn’t anything that really helped. So, an experienced engineer and inventor with several patents under his belt began to try to create that very thing right out of his basement. With the input of many other really smart people, MemClick was born and suddenly remembering things became a whole lot easier.
