SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Volkswagen EOS Now with New Plug-and-Play Wiring Adapter

The SmartTOP aftermarket convertible top add-on module offered by automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars is now available with an upgraded, custom designed Plug-and-Play wiring adapter for Volkswagen EOS. The new adapter guarantees an even simpler installation and a tighter, more secure connection of the product to the vehicle electronics.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), May 14, 2013 — The SmartTOP convertible top controller for Volkswagen EOS offered by Mods4cars is a retrofit kit which allows one-touch opening and closing of the roof while the car is in motion and remote operation initiated by the original factory remote fob. In order to enjoy the time saving benefits of the product, the module kit is installed in the car using a new, professionally made and custom designed plug-in-between wiring harness.

The wiring harness is used to connect the aftermarket product with the integrated electronics in the car by simply unplugging and swapping a couple of connectors. Mods4cars has now redesigned it in order to make installation even easier and all connections more secure. All plugs and sockets used on this new version are protected against reversing polarity. Connectors snap and latch together just like the OEM ones.

“We continuously work on making installation of our products as easy and foolproof as possible.” says PR-Manager Sven Tornow. “We are happy to present a redesigned convertible top add-on kit for Volkswagen EOS which sports an even simpler installation. Thanks to the new connectors it is now impossible to accidentally reverse polarity or in other ways connect them in the wrong way. A clear click signals a safe and tight connection.” he concludes.

The SmartTOP module allows drivers to open and close the top while driving at slow speeds or by using the original key fob remote. Convenient one-touch operation automatically raises or lowers the top when using either the console switch or the remote. The original key remotes do not need to be reprogrammed or altered in any way.

Additionally the SmartTOP module for VW EOS comes with a host of bonus features, all of which are user configurable. It is possible to control windows, sunroof and convertible top separately, the console switch operation direction for top and sunroof can be reversed and the module offers an option to allow top operation with the hitch installed. The passenger side mirror can be automatically tilted down as soon as the reverse gear is engaged.

An extended mode allows top operation to continue while the engine is being started or stopped and the entire module can be disabled temporarily while retaining all user settings. A USB port also comes standard on every module and allows product update and configuration using software available online free of charge.

Mods4cars also offers a SmartTOP module for the VW Golf VI Convertible. Other SmartTOP kits are available for the following brands: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and VW.

Inspirational Tale about Female ‘Cutting It’ as a Barbershop Owner

Divorced Mother of Three Discovers Talent and Lifelong Career.

Houston, TX (USA), May 06, 2013 — After a career of listening to customer stories as a licensed barber, Elizabeth Manuel is telling her own story of a successful shop owner in the male dominated grooming industry. Published through Halo Publishing International, Manuel’s book, Beautiful, Beautiful, the Haircut’s Not Bad Either, will inspire readers to follow their hearts and be strong, capable leaders in their own chosen field.

The book details the obstacles and rewards of ‘making it’ in a traditionally male profession. “My courage in battling stereotypes and gender biases has led to a joyous career and a great deal of stories,” the author said. “It is a testament to both self-reliance and resilience in a highly volatile and character filled workplace.”

At age 32, with three children, Manuel said she ended a 16-year marriage to a controlling husband. While married, she wasn’t “allowed” to work, but once divorced, she needed income to support her family. She tried various jobs including factory and office work, but she finally found her calling as a barber, a job that directly deals with people one on one. Manuel said her first big break in the business was 34 years ago at a shop in Independence, Ohio, a suburb that borders Cleveland, where she worked for eight years.

And while she’s happy to have mastered the talent of barbering, she’s even prouder be the successful owner of Elizabeth’s Barber Shop on Broadview Road in Parma. Manuel said the 28 years as a shop owner proved to her that if you have faith and work hard, you can have anything you want.

“You can fulfill your dream if you keep a positive attitude when faced with disappointment,” she said.
