ArivisWebView Allows 3D Image Viewing of Gigabyte Images in Web Browsers

First of its kind, WebView3D can visualize volumetric data.

Seattle (USA) / Berlin (Germany), Wednesday – December 14, 2011 — Arivis ( http://www.arivis.com ), the leading provider of software for the visualization and analysis of high-dimensional image data of almost unlimited size, today announced beta version of WebView 3.0 with 3D rendering.

WebView3D is a new SaaS-based tool that allows users to view, manipulate, annotate and collaborate on multi-gigapixel images and render 3D image stacks using popular and common Internet browsers. WebView 3D is part of ArivisWebView, a modular framework for image visualization and annotation on the Internet.

In short, WebView3D visualizes volumetric data. For example, in a life sciences or medical application WebView3D could be used to show large computer tomography scans over the web.

“The idea behind WebView3D is to allow for the easy sharing and manipulation of volumetric data and large 3D images such as those generated by microscopical or X-ray computed tomography, or industrial CT scanning, for example,” says Arivis founder Christian Götze. “Size is never an issue. Our products incorporate, combine, manage, visualize, and analyze image data, independent from its origin, dimensionality and dimension.”

Although WebView3D can be used for sharing and viewing 3D images in life sciences, neuroscience, and biotechnology, its applications are not limited strictly to applied sciences.

Using the new WebGL technology, WebView3D can render interactive 3D data quickly and at high resolution quality in standard web browsers. Being a standard compliant solution, the 3D technology can be implemented in any web application and interact with existing systems or used in third-party applications.

SmartTOP Convertible Top Module for BMW 1 Series and Mini Now With Plug-And-Play Wiring

The SmartTOP convertible top add-on module offered for BMW 1 series and Mini convertibles by after-market electronics specialist Mods4cars now comes with a custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter. The module allows one-touch top operation while driving at slow speeds as well as opening and closing of the top from afar via the original factory remote fob. Installation is done by simply plugging the custom-fit wiring adapter in between two connectors.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), Friday – December 09, 2011 — Effective immediately, Mods4cars includes a new, custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter with all SmartTOP module orders for BMW 1 series and Mini convertibles. The adapter uses OEM plugs and connectors to ensure a perfect fit and simple connection between the module and the car electronics. Installation is simplified to the point that it can be carried out by anyone without special knowledge. With the kit installed, all it takes is a single tap to fully automatically close the windows, top and sunroof, should drivers get caught in a summer rainstorm.

Some additional features present on this as well as many of the company’s other add-on modules are separate window control from the remote, one-touch closing of all windows from the center console switch, automatic door locking and unlocking and an extended mode where turning the engine on or off does not interrupt an ongoing top operation. Also worth mentioning is the master switch, which allows turning the entire module on or off quickly, while retaining the user’s individual preference settings.

SMJ Property Group Acquires Three Building Multi Family Portfolio in Jersey City for $1.57 Million

SMJ Property Group, a family owned and operated New Jersey real estate investment company has announced the purchase of three separate apartment properties totaling 28 units in the Heights section of Jersey City.

Jersey City, NJ (USA), Tuesday – December 06, 2011 — SMJ Property Group ( http://www.SMJPropertyGroup.com ), a family owned and operated New Jersey real estate investment company has announced the purchase of three separate apartment properties totaling 28 units in the Heights section of Jersey City according to Steven Porada, head of acquisitions at the company.

The first building located on South Street is an 8 unit building featuring all one bedroom apartments and commanded a purchase price of $434,000.

The second building, located on Sherman Avenue also has 8 units, all one bedroom apartments, and commanded a purchase price of $449,000.

The third building, located on Hutton Street has 12 units, has all 2 bedroom apartments and commanded a purchase price of $687,000.

All three properties were purchased from by the same owner who is a private real estate investor.

Investment specialist Steven Porada, assisted by brothers Michael Porada and Jonathan Porada, headed the transaction.

“It was a great transaction for both buyer and seller. The seller benefited from the ease and convenience of a single buyer for all three properties. We as the buyers were able to simultaneously close these three transactions, efficiently adding these properties to our portfolio” says Michael Porada.

The three new mortgages were originated from the NJ branch of a New York based community bank at a rate of 5.25%, fixed for 5 years and amortized over 30.

This transaction brings SMJ Property Group to its fifth Jersey City acquisition and their sixth acquisition in Hudson County for the year 2011.

“We have a few closings pending, one similar to this one in which we are purchasing a four building portfolio from a single owner in Harrison, NJ. In addition to that, we have more deals in the pipeline that we are confident will be closed on before the years end. Child’s Birth Inspires Book about Unbounded Love

Inspired by the birth of her adopted son, Caleb, author Melissa Ivey Staehli wrote I Love You to the Moon, a new children’s book about unbounded love.

Houston, TX (USA), Tuesday – December 06, 2011 — Inspired by the birth of her adopted son, Caleb, author Melissa Ivey Staehli wrote I Love You to the Moon, a new children’s book about unbounded love.

“I am so thankful and blessed that Caleb’s birth mother chose life for him. The love I have for my son is what inspires me to write,” Staehli said.

A simple, poetic lullaby, I Love You to the Moon is a book that any loved one can read to a young child to let them know how much they are loved.

“Born out of a mother’s love for her child, this book will bless both the reader and child,” said Halo International Publisher Lisa Umina. “Sharing unbounded love with a child benefits our world forever.”

A native of the Akron, Ohio area, author Melissa Staehli grew up being close to her brother and four cousins, children of her mother’s twin. She attended Chapel Hill Christian elementary school where her husband, Jared, also was educated as a child. “Acquainted only” according to the writer, throughout school, the couple reconnected in their early twenties and married in 1993. Jared earns a living as a videographer/editor/producer and Melissa was employed as a nail technician when Caleb miraculously arrived in their lives.

“His birth mother generously decided to let a family adopt him,” Staehli explained, “and we had already started the adoption process through Korea, never knowing that a domestic adoption was meant to be.”

Staehli had written several poems over the years, including “one about God giving me a baby boy,” she said. I Love You to the Moon is basically another personal poem, one inspired by her faith in God and true love for her child, she said.

Staehli is available for book signings, readings and hopes to share her book throughout the community. She hopes to remind people “that we all should be thankful everyday of the year, because we have so many blessings.”

The author is working on her second book, Charlie’s Gingerbread House, also to be published by Halo Publishing International.
