ADS Debuts Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) Initiative MedicsDocAssistant™ EHR Dashboard

ADS Positions Woodbridge Medical Associates for CPC Initiative Success.

Paramus, NJ, USA (July 24, 2013) — Advanced Data Systems (ADS) announces an innovative Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) initiative dashboard for its MedicsDocAssistant electronic health record (EHR) system that automates reporting for reimbursements through Medicare’s CPC initiative program. CPC offers financial incentives to primary care practices in designated states and regions that meet criteria for enhanced care coordination. The ADS dashboard automatically tracks and reports on all required criteria needed by the practice to achieve CPC initiative compliance.

Lillian Greco, practice administrator for Woodbridge Medical Associates (WMA) (Woodbridge, NJ) and an early dashboard user notes, “The ADS built-in CPC initiative dashboard is extremely well thought-out and valuable. It is helping us track CPC initiative requirements effortlessly and today, we are well positioned for CPC initiative success. I am very familiar with the marketplace and have not seen many other systems with MedicsDocAssistant’s CPC capabilities.”

Ms. Greco notes that all four of WMA’s physicians received Stage 1 Meaningful Use (MU) Medicare incentives using the MedicsDocAssistant EHR. Unlike MU requirements which apply to individual physician reporting, the CPC initiative requires practice-wide reporting, making compliance significantly more complex.

WMA has been a MedicsDocAssistant EHR user since 2006. The practice also uses the Medics practice management (PM) system from ADS for billing, EDI, scheduling and reporting. “The EHR and PM from ADS operate as a single, unified solution covering WMA’s business and clinical requirements,” noted Ms. Greco. “Our practice also used MedicsDocAssistant EHR to attain NCQA-recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home.”

“Primary care practices that are interested in the CPC initiative, or those that are having difficulties in doing so with their current EHR, should consider MedicsDocAssistant EHR. It is an excellent system for capturing and reporting Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) for both the Meaningful Use (MU) program and the CPC Initiative,” Ms. Greco said.

David Barzillai, President of ADS, said, “It is gratifying to know that WMA, which is a very progressive practice as evidenced by their desire to become compliant with the CPC initiative and by their PCMH status, has been able to use systems from ADS to help achieve both. We congratulate WMA and consider it a privilege to be working with them as their automation solutions provider.”

Over 30,000 providers rely on interoperable systems from ADS.

Woodbridge Medical Associates, P.A. (WMA) was founded in 1954 with the goal of providing high quality medical care to the Woodbridge community. The group has since grown into one of the busiest internal medicine practices in the area. WMA offers medical care in general internal medicine and gastroenterology and has received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). WMA is constantly seeking the most advanced medical techniques to best serve its patients’ needs. WMA’s physicians are on staff at JFK Medical Center and the Perth Amboy division of the Raritan Bay Medical Center. WMA can be contacted by calling 732-634-0036 or by emailing info@woodbridgemed.com.

About Advanced Data Systems (ADS): Since 1977, ADS has been a leading provider of automation solutions to medical practices of every size and specialty, to imaging centers, and to revenue cycle management companies. The Company’s Medics solutions include the MedicsDocAssistant EHR (ONC-ATCB Certified by Drummond Group© as a complete EHR for Stage 1 Meaningful Use), MedicsPremier and MedicsElite for comprehensive PM, and MedicsRIS for radiology. VolitionRx to use Innova Biosciences’ Biotin Technology in its Epigenetic Research Kits

In-licensing deal between VolitionRx and UK-based Innova Biosciences helps drive development of novel cancer diagnostics

Oxford, UK, July 24, 2013 – VolitionRx Limited (OTC: VNRX), a life sciences company focused on the development of blood-based diagnostic tests, has signed a non-exclusive in-licensing agreement with Innova Biosciences, a specialist provider of bioconjugation systems, based in Cambridge, UK. Under the agreement, Innova Biosciences will supply its Lightning-Link® Biotin technology for Volition’s NuQ® epigenetic profiling research kits. The addition of the Lightning-Link technology will help Volition to improve the accuracy of its test, whilst speeding up production of the research kits.

Volition will use Lightning-Link® for biotinylation of antibodies employed in its range of NuQ® ELISA kits available to researchers working in the fields of epigenetics and nucleosome research. Volition is also employing the Lightning-Link technology for development of Nucleosomics®-based clinical tests, including its first blood-based diagnostic test for colorectal cancer. The high yield and enhanced specificity offered by the Lightning-Link® system coupled with simplicity of use provide a significant advantage in the manufacture of Volition’s research and clinical assays.

Cancer diagnosis often requires a series of time consuming tests, with a diagnosis sometimes being made days after specimen removal. This in-licensing deal will assist the company in their development and manufacture of novel, easy to use diagnostic kits.

Dr Jake Micallef, CSO of VolitionRx, says: “We’ve been really impressed with Innova’s products. Their biotin kit is simple to use and proved more durable than many competitors’ kits, and we’ve seen significant improvements in reproducibility since we started to use them regularly. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with the Lightning-Link technology.”

Dr Andy Lane, Executive Director at Innova Biosciences, said, “This deal is another perfect example of how Lightning-Link® is increasingly being used by innovative diagnostic companies like VolitionRx to both maximise R&D output and to simplify the manufacturing process.”

Aite Group Selects Enservio Among 10 Startups “Transforming P&C Claims”

Aite Group reports a $36 billion opportunity to reduce overall claims loss costs.

Needham, MA (USA), June 28, 2013 — In new research just published by Aite Group, the Boston analyst firm estimates there is a $36 billion total opportunity to reduce overall claims loss costs and expense in the US P&C insurance industry. Enservio (www.enservio.com), the nation’s leading provider of software and services to property insurers, is included among 10 companies profiled by Aite Group that represent “players who are transforming the industry and addressing significant portions of the overall opportunity.”

These 10 innovators are “starting to transform property and contents claims work flow, documentation, and valuation capabilities. This will boost customer satisfaction through faster, easier, more accurate claims resolution and improved catastrophe claims response times; improving property loss valuation accuracy and lower loss adjustment expenses,” the report stated.

Aite’s research describes “the old model” for processing and settling homeowner’s insurance claims: Insurers provide homeowners with preprinted forms. In filing a claim, the claimant is asked to describe each item lost including its original cost.

“Needless to say, this ‘self-reporting’ system was subject to error, exaggeration and outright fraud – adjusters couldn’t know prices and depreciation on millions of items,” said Aite Group Senior Analyst Stephen Applebaum, the report’s author.

“Enservio changed the model completely, developing software to accurately capture and value contents, and a field service organization to make onsite visits to assist claimants on behalf of the carrier. This results in dramatically reduced claims cycle times, contents claim severity and adjusting expenses as well as increased customer satisfaction,” added Applebaum.

“Enservio should continue to penetrate the North American P&C insurance market as carriers embrace transformation of their claims management and underwriting processes out of competitive necessity and the desire to improve profitability and customer service.

“Enservio’s recent innovations around analytics and claims payments should serve to further increase its utility to insurers and accelerate the adoption of its core offerings as well as its new products and services. Continued innovation can be expected from this company based on its management’s history of developing successful and transformative claims services and solutions coupled with the relative lack of innovation in property claims,” said Applebaum.

“We would expect to see Enservio leverage its contents valuation expertise with emerging business intelligence analytics skills to produce valuable fraud management, underwriting, rating, and pricing solutions for property insurers, including contents ‘Insurance to Value’ (ITV) for which Enservio is uniquely positioned to provide accurate valuations.”
Other innovative companies mentioned in the Aite report include: BuildFax, EagleView, Symbility, PartsTrader, n2uitive, ICEX, SynerScope, Casentric and Social Intelligence.

About Enservio:
Enservio works on the biggest challenge in property insurance – what’s inside. We provide a complete suite of software and service solutions to help property insurance carriers price their policies correctly, settle their contents claims quickly and accurately, pay their claims, and help policyholders get their stuff back. Founded in 2004, we are headquartered near Boston, in Needham, MA with offices and professional staff across the United States.
