It’s Time To Promote Civility In the United States

JUNEAU, Alaska, 2020-Oct-13 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — What started out as a way to get his daily 10,000 steps, a local man hopes in the long run will change the course of dialog in America.

For 12 years during the cruise season, Robert Steinke has been coming to the Port in Juneau to greet cruise customers and welcome them aboard humpback whale watching excursions. With the pandemic in full swing, he still feels drawn to the Port and would visit frequently – focusing on his daily 10,000 step goal rather than greeting customers. These walks allowed for releasing some built up pandemic energy and passing the time listening to a little talk radio or podcasts.

It was during one of these daily walks while listening to various podcast’s that Robert was struck with an idea. “Sometimes on these call-in shows, things can get a bit heated,” stated Steinke, “then, one of the callers said ‘Why can’t we just bring back civility?’ I couldn’t get that thought out of my mind, I went to bed that night thinking about the idea of civility and how important that concept is to a democracy.” From that day at the Port, Steinke was inspired to help spread the idea of bringing back civility.

After chatting with his wife and doing some research, Steinke decided the best way to change the tone was for individuals to publicly share the concept of civility – almost brand themselves with the idea of ‘be civil’. So, Steinke launched the website BringBackCivility.com where individuals can brand themselves with the ideal of being civil to each other.

“We don’t have to agree on everything, or even anything, to be civil to each other. Being civil is really a choice,” stated Steinke. “This is just a simple way to remind ourselves and others to be kind and be civil to each other.” Since the launch of the website, the most popular items have been face masks and hats. Both come in a variety of colors and designs to suit everyone. “I like the face masks, they make a few different statements when you wear one,” stated Steinke.

The site will be up at least until the end of the year. Most gear will be shipped in 3-7 days and can be shipped worldwide. The company is also taking bulk orders from shops that are interested in carrying the line.

Washington & Associates, Inc. (W&A) Launched a Strategic Plan Designed to Help Save Liberal Democracy, Unify Peoples, and Resist Authoritarianism Worldwide

W&A is a “startup” whose mission is to help save the liberal world order by reimagining and reinventing democracy.

Solon, OH, USA — W&A, a former holding company that is transforming into a “virtual startup’ geared to implementing a strategic plan and creating an international movement oriented to saving liberal democracy, unifying peoples, and resisting authoritarianism worldwide, had its official launch of the strategic plan.

Worldwide, tottering democracies coupled with “unfettered capitalism” are in crisis largely because their rhetoric does not match their reality. Rather than being the guarantors of opportunity, freedoms, equality, justice, fairness, and inclusion they have proven to be architects of oligarchy, kleptocracy, corruption, racial, gender, religious, class, and representational inequality, hyper-partisanship, polarization, identity politics, and zero-sum politics and economics. Authoritarians are taking advantage of these vulnerabilities by engaging in campaigns designed to subvert democratic processes, “weaponize” democracy’s (and capitalism’s) vulnerabilities and thereby destroy the liberal world order.

W&A has responded to these challenges by developing a universally applicable strategic plan designed to save liberal democracy, unify peoples, and resist authoritarianism and nationalism worldwide. The plan is contained in a recently published book entitled, Ensuring Justice, Fairness, and Inclusion in America: Managing Equity in the 21st Century, written by its President, Dr. Charles A. Washington, and in a series of five (5) white papers and promotional gear. The book and the strategic plan mark the first ever attempt to fully operationalize John B. Rawls’ seminal concept, “Justice as Fairness.” The strategic plan details a revolutionary (Rawlsian) management system called “Equity Management,” and a web-based software system called the “Plato Management Information System,” as solutions to this crisis.

Democracy’s problems are multi-faceted, and the solution must be as well. Saving democracy requires that it be reimagined and reinvented. Further, democracy must be saved in America first if it is to be saved at all. In response to this crisis, newspaper correspondents, think tanks, individual scholars, major universities (Harvard University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Pennsylvania), etc. have begun examining the crisis of liberal democracy and capitalism seeking ways to save them. These early efforts have no viable solutions to offer to date. W&A’s “Rawlsian solutions” call for establishing new social contracts in tottering democracies with emphasis on the promotion of representative consensus democracy, justice, fairness, and inclusion. The solutions that W&A is offering are the first and only real-world, comprehensive, practical solutions designed to save liberal democracy, unify peoples and resist authoritarianism worldwide (and by extension save capitalism) that can actually work.

Pursuant to its mission (“creating one vision and empowering one future”), W&A is soliciting all like-minded countries, governments, corporations, organizations, and individuals who are concerned about the current state of democracy and capitalism in America and around the world and who want to do something about it, to heed this clarion call. Explore our website. Download and read the white papers. Buy and read the book. Buy the gear from our flagship store on our website or from our standalone satellite store and display it proudly. Sign up (organizations and individuals) and join the movement. Help us make the changes we all want. W&A will commit a substantial portion of the profits from the sale of the book and the gear to jump-start the implementation of the strategic plan.

Consultancy Partnership Revolutionizes Agile Project Management

ORLANDO, FL, USA, 2019-Mar-21 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — Project management magic is certain to take place when two industry leading agile coaching and consulting companies join forces to bring world-class services to organizations of all sizes and types. AgileDad founder and president, V. Lee Henson explains, “Our partnership with ClarityMinded Consulting is nothing less than a perfect match. This agreement allows us to work even more closely with existing and new clients to provide both technical and non-technical agile project management solutions.” As agile project management continues to prove itself to be the premier solution for all types of products and projects, organizations are saving money by building the right high quality products and services to meet the ever-changing needs of their end consumers. Chuck Ludwigsen, founder of ClarityMinded Consulting adds, “Lee Henson and his team at AgileDad set a new bar in equipping individuals and teams to succeed in the agile landscape. We are honored to partner with him as together we empower business professionals to grow and learn.”

Agile project management allows companies to gain better focus on what not to build, thereby affording the chance to have the most qualified teams swarm to limited work in progress and create an expedited feedback loop with the consumer. Business and technology concepts merge using short iterations to accelerate work from ideation, to discovery, delivery, and ultimately release. Alignment of business strategy, customer needs, and relative complexity work item estimates creates an environment helping organizations reduce time to market and focus on building the best product or service solution. Furthermore, agile project management solutions have proven to be an effective way for companies to see substantial cost savings by creating an organizational culture and mindset where innovation is encouraged and the fear of failure is diminished. This leads to innovative solutions at a much lower cost. While Agile is not the silver bullet, one size fits all solution, organizations that embrace the framework can incrementally improve business processes over time and wind up with their own internal agile center of excellence.

AgileDad is proud to provide coaching and training solutions for forty-four of the Fortune 100 companies in industries including: marketing, public relations, entertainment, medical, insurance, banking, finance, investment, retail, government, and technology. Our humanized approach to work and pragmatic approach to process has proven to be a model for long term product and project management success. Just For Diabetics Website Offers Hope for Pre-diabetics, Type 2 diabetics, and the Overweight

Research shows that the best time to take action to reverse pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes is when you are at the stage of managing these conditions.

Vancouver, BC, Canada, 2018-Nov-06 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — November is world diabetes month. When people are diagnosed type 2 diabetic, the first line of defense is the use of prescription drugs in order to manage the diabetes. But what victims of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes are not aware of is that research performed by Just For Diabetics website founder, Ernest Quansah, shows that when patients are managing their pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes, it is the best opportunity for them to reverse it and be weaned off the prescription drugs. The research results are evidence based. Many doctors and institutions now agree that this is the case. Recently, the University of British Columbia, in conjunction with Pharmasave, a drugstore chain, began offering obese people and type 2 diabetics a diet plan aimed at reversal of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. The cost of their plan is $500 a month. The diet plan calls for no consumption of refined sugar, potatoes, fruit, fruit juices, sweet drinks of any kind, rice, bread, and consumption of cooked vegetables for lunch, cooked chicken breast for dinner and so on. Many of the participants are seniors, the overweight, or obese. After several thousand of dollars spent, many participants lose weight and their doctors take them off their diabetes drugs.

Quansah’s program includes a specialized diabetes exercise regime along with vitamin therapy and a carefully designed tasty menu cycle. He himself completely reversed his severe case of type 2 diabetes after compiling this program, which was the culmination of thorough research. This research included the advice of several physicians. Quansah, founder of Just For Diabetics and the author of Diabetics Journey says: “For several years, I have been educating people about how type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes can be reversed through the program offered on my website. Now we see that one of Canada’s finest Universities and a drug store chain are doing the same.”

The website, justfordiabetics.com offers a free weight-loss program, a free diabetes reversal program, as well as an inexpensive paid program. The extensive program includes a full menu regime, exercise videos, tutorials, in addition to a cooking video demonstration, all for less than $180. Quansah wisely suggests that those on the program be monitored by their doctors.

Quansah’s research and findings have been published in the WebMD Diabetes magazine in the article “Secret recipe: How a Chef Cured His Type 2 Diabetes”, as well as on the WebMD website. There is hope for reversing pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes (the type that does not require insulin injections,) and for overcoming being overweight.

“Misinformation about type 2 diabetes is rampant. For diabetics to heal, they need a complete change of attitude and way of thinking. This means, they should not just accept managing their condition, but rather, understand that they can be healed. Further, complacency about pre-diabetes leads to full-blown diabetes, which can lead to heart disease, blindness, liver failure, impotence, limb amputations and early death,” cautions Quansah.

Quansah has been asked to be guest speaker at the Diabetes and Healthcare Conference being held in Helsinki, Norway, in November 2018 and to be keynote speaker at the Diabetes Care Conference being held in Malaysia in May of 2019. His speech topic will include how to help diabetics heal and resultantly reduce healthcare costs.

“What makes me so convinced that type 2 diabetics can be reversed? It’s my own success story. There is no evidence found in any part of the world that shows that type 2 diabetes cannot be reversed. With this conviction behind me, I wanted to offer the same possibility to the countless victims of pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and those who are overweight, through launching justfordiabetics.com. My personal success in being cured is documented in my autobiographical book, Diabetics Journeyand encapsulated by this chart,” says Quansah. (The chart showing the before and after results of Quansah’s blood sugar tests is given below.)

The numbers in this chart represent blood sugar count in millimoles per litre (mmol/L).

Lifespan Launches a New Service: Well Being Program

In celebration of Lifespan’s 35th anniversary, a free class called “Where is the Joy? Putting Joy Back in your Life as you Age” will be presented on Thursday, June 28th.

Santa Cruz, CA, May 16, 2018 – Lifespan, a specialized aging care agency founded in Santa Cruz County 35 years ago, announces a new service. The Well Being Program recognizes that as people age many become socially isolated, losing the ability to pursue past or new activities that might bring them joy. Often they become disconnected from their community, family, and friends.

Too often social isolation, reduced mobility, or relocation to a new community can diminish access to activities which have brought enjoyment and fulfillment to a person’s life. Lifespan hopes to help local elders reengage and find joy again through its new Well Being Program.

The intent of this program is to increase engagement, sense of fulfillment, connection, and joy in life regardless of age or perceived changes in ability. At the outset a Lifespan professional meets with the elder to explore her or his desires which may include renewing or exploring a creative outlet, connecting with family members or old friends, pursuing a spiritual path, or participating in outings into the community. Once personal goals are identified, a specialized Personal Assistant from Lifespan is matched with the individual and the two can embark on planning activities.

In celebration of Lifespan’s 35th anniversary, a free class called “Where is the Joy? Putting Joy Back in your Life as you Age” will be presented on Thursday, June 28th from 5 pm– 6:30 pm at La Posada Senior Residence, 609 Frederick St., Santa Cruz. Attendees will learn how to create a richer life as they age through reengaging with old passions, exploring new interests, and reconnecting with old friends, family, or new experiences. To attend the class, RSVP to Marci@Chatterboxpublicrelations.com.

The featured speaker will be Cathy Cress, MSW, who is a leading national expert in aging life and geriatric care management. Cress is a well-known authority on the baby boomer generation and the aging family. Her book, Handbook in Geriatric Care Management is in its 4th edition. She earned her MSW from UC Berkeley and now consultants on aging issues, including life enrichment.

About Lifespan

Lifespan is a comprehensive aging care management agency dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in the home or setting of one’s choice.

Lifespan’s goal is to maximize the health, safety, comfort, and independence of its clients through compassionate person-centered care. Since 1983 Lifespan has provided all-inclusive home care and professional geriatric care management services to adults in need of assistance. A leader in aging care services, Lifespan is one of the very first organizations to provide this combination of care on the West Coast, and still the only agency of its kind in Santa Cruz County.

Lifespan’s professional care management is provided by registered nurses and master’s level social workers who conduct assessments of client strengths and unmet needs then help the client and family decide on a plan of care. In addition, care managers can coordinate a variety of resources and work with health care providers, fiduciary agents, and other professionals to make sure that all needs are met as conditions change. Lifespan also offers medication set-up and managements by RNs.

Home care aides provide the important support with activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, shopping, laundry, meal preparation and clean up, personal hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders. They also provide protective supervision for persons with cognitive impairment. Care up to 24/hours per day is offered based on staffing availability. All home care aide services are supervised by the professional care manager RNs and social workers to ensure optimal care.

Lifespan is in full compliance with the 2015 California Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act, under the auspices of the California Department of Social Services, which specifies that all employees meet criteria as registered home care aides. This includes thorough screening, criminal background clearance (fingerprinting) by both the Department of Justice and FBI in addition to verifying initial and ongoing professional training. Employees of all levels are covered by Lifespan’s general liability bond and worker’s compensation policies.

There are more than 2 million professional home care workers in the U.S. providing care and support to aging adults and persons with disabilities in home and community-based settings. The home care workforce has doubled in the past 10 years and the population of those 65 and older is expected to double to 88 million by 2050, making the role of professional aging care professionals that much more critical.

Nine new sculptures will decorate the Civic Park and give our City a great makeover”.

“Flight” a sculpture by Steven Reiman at the Newport Beach Sculpture Exhibition, Phase III

Vovk won Ms. America 2017 title with her two-fold platform to fight autism and promote organic living. She is determined to make a difference during her year as Ms. America 2017 by positively influencing her community and getting more women involved in community service and helping others.

Such a powerful statement embodied in this piece of art made of stainless steel and bronze. According to Mr. Reiman, the symbolic bird soaring through a ring of the sun represents a future of wonder with the random letters that cover its form questioning the human experience and how we impact our future. I met with Mr. Reiman and his lovely wife Ruth right after the ceremony and I was truly touched by his kindness and great passion with which he spoke about his creation. I Love Arts and now I have a new favorite sculpture in my city created by an amazing artist”, Vovk said.

So, by the time the team has completed their mission, they will have built 100 self-contained houses for the local people in the Namayumba – Wakiso District of Uganda.

The team has been working very diligently on all of the essential groundwork for Nsuk Professional Laundry Limited and they are now ready to begin the process of making this humanitarian dream a reality which is why they have launched their campaign, and hired a team of crowdfunding specialists to help them spread the word.
