EMMY WINNERS GIVE KUDOS TO THECGBROS CGINSIDER PODCAST

Using an Animated Avatar of Himself, Digital Media Professional, Bill Johnston, Co-founder of the Popular TheCGBros YouTube Channel, Earns Praise for His Performance in a Video Podcast Preview Provided to a Special Panel of Members of the Voice Acting Academy.

SAN DIEGO, CA, 2021-Jan-06 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — TheCGBros, a Third-party aggregation YouTube Channel becoming an integral part of many short films’ release strategies, conducted a highly successful beta test of the first episode of their now-in-production podcast series, TheCGBros CGInsider Podcast. Bill Johnston, co-founder of TheCGBros YouTube Channel with his brother, Shaun Johnston, delivered the program content solo, in “talking head” format, but future episodes will see participation from Shaun and from influential guests, as well. Of special interest is that, although Bill spoke as himself, he did it through the novel medium of an animated avatar, possibly a first in the industry. The avatar was designed and executed by co-founder, Shaun Johnston.

The program content is intended for consumption by people with a wide variety of tastes and interests, especially fans of short videos. The subject matter will also be of general interest to students of CGI as well as both entry-level and professionals in the field. The premiere episode in the podcast series was released to the public on TheCGBros YouTube Channel at Midnight January 5, 2021. The series will be rolled out on other streaming platforms weekly on Tuesdays.

The test episode, which runs approximately 20 minutes long, is entitled “What is CGI?” Podcast titles scheduled for the remainder of January include: “Can You Describe the Different Jobs That Relate to Creating a CGI Film,” “Are There Examples of Current CGI in Films That Are So Well Done That They are Undetectable?” and “How Can I Get a Job in Gaming?”

The venue used for the test was an online weekly meeting of the Voice Acting Academy’s “Conductors Club” (VAACC.) The VAACC is a membership support service open to voiceover talent at all levels of experience for the purpose of helping them to advance their voiceover career and to help them get more work. Membership in the VAACC includes weekly live coaching sessions directed by Voiceover Guru, James Alburger, who says that the monthly cost of membership is a lot less than the usual cost of a single hour of private coaching. ConductorsClub sessions are conducted using Zoom, a cloud-based peer-to-peer software platform app that allows virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live chats, screen-sharing, and other collaborative capabilities. The test involved a three-member panel of long-time members of the VAACC. Participating in the test were James Alburger, Tom Daniels, and George Asteri. Senior member of the panel, James Alburger, of San Diego, author of the book commonly used as a required text in college-level voiceover classes, “The Art of Voice Acting,” now in its 6th edition, asserted, “That’s really nice. Very interesting, very thorough, very effective.” Alburger is an 11-Time Emmy® Winner for Sound Design, and owner of The Voice Acting Academy and CIGMA Media. National Black Gospel Sheet Music Source Is Now Available

It’s God’s Choice Christian Bookstore is one of the few sources of black gospel sheet music for musicians.

Landover, MD, USA — It’s God’s Choice Christian Bookstore (http://www.igccb.com) is now one of the largest sources of Black Gospel sheet music in the country. There are very few places where musicians can go to purchase Black Gospel sheet music because very few stores have been able to find a distribution channel that will provide the music. It’s God’s Choice has found several sources of Black Gospel and is providing it to church musicians and others nationwide and internationally.

“As a musician and a music teacher, I’m a witness to the fact that there aren’t many places where a musician can go in a store or online to find up-to-date Black Gospel sheet music. There are some songbooks that are available but not much in sheet music. It takes a lot of time learning and then teaching a new song to the church choir. It adds to the process when you have to transcribe the music first. With sheet music, the music is already written out which saves lots of time,” said Carolyn Walker, former church musician and current music buyer for the bookstore. “It’s God’s Choice is a blessing to gospel music lovers everywhere with over a thousand titles available,” said Thelma Lee.

The Black Gospel sheet music repertoire represent songs that have been sung by such famous singers as: Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, Richard Smallwood, Anthony Brown, William Murphy, Hezekiah Walker, Tasha Cobbs, Mississippi Mass Choir, Ricky Dillard, Martha Munizzi, Donald Lawrence, Charles Jenkins and many other well-known gospel singers, choirs and groups.

In 2002, It’s God’s Choice Christian Bookstore was founded by Thelma Lee, a former employee of Rejoice Christian Bookstore and who has over 15 years of experience in this field. It’s God’s Choice specializes in special orders and carries black gospel CDs, sheet music, songbooks, piano instructional books, bibles, books, greeting cards, gifts, church supplies, tambourines, and children items. Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) Produces Exquisite Debut EP for New Australian Indie Duo, Secret Solis, with Terepai Richmond (The Whitlams) on the Drums

Adelaide, Australia, 2017-May-18 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — Between sold out tours of Australia and Canada in 2016, Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) invited new Australian indie folk / rock duo Secret Solis to record their debut EP, “Deep Down” at River House Studios near Byron Bay. The sessions produced a five track album of indie folk / rock anthems, the tracks resonating with both Led Zeppelin’s driving acoustic rock and the ethereal ballads of Pink Floyd. Jeff’s eastern palette adds an eclectic flavour to the EP that is reminiscent of his early albums with The Tea Party, as in Splendor Solis and Edges of Twilight. Terepai Richmond (The Whitlams) joins the line up on drums providing a John Bonham / Ginger Baker style foundation for the albums songs.

When asked to describe the project Martin says “I have been waiting for years to produce a sound like this at River House Studios. Of all the production work I have done over the last 25 years, including my work with The Tea Party, Secret Solis’ EP “Deep Down” is in the top five of work that I am most proud of.”

Secret Solis was formed in 2012 when established Cairns-based singer/songwriter, Kian Eder met Cally Pysden, a pianist and singer/songwriter from Adelaide. Before meeting Cally, Kian’s music was heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, The Tea Party, A Perfect Circle, and acoustic rock cross-over artists like Ben Harper. Collaborating with Cally added a new dimension to Kian’s vision, elevating the music to new heights with her soaring ethereal vocals the likes of Enya, Dido, Sia and Amy-Lee. Enter Jeff Martin as producer and musician using production techniques straight out of Jimmy Page’s playbook, and Terepai Richmond (The Whitlams) on drums and you have a special magic happening in the mix.

Martin agreed to produce the band after hearing only a small section of their demo, “Speechless Soul” and the rest is history. Jeff plays all the heavy guitars and solos, hurdy gurdy and synths including his boutique theremin. He also lends his voice to the band’s debut single, “Sunshine”. The second single, “Are You Listening?” features Jeff playing an old school rock solo unlike many have ever heard.

When asked what the songs are about Kian says “The songs are based on our personal experiences but ultimately we are aiming to create relatable themes that resonate with everyone. We want this music to heal, uplift and empower people to face and overcome the many challenges of life as our favourite music has done for us.”

The Debut EP “Deep Down” will be released via bandcamp on the 16th of June, 2017.
