Secrets of the Inkas Seminars Provide Life-Changing Opportunities to Engage With Nature Jan 4-9 in NYC

The chance to begin 2014 by acquiring the secrets to be empowered by nature and increase your NQ (nature quotient) to live in harmony with your world will be taught in two life-changing seminars led by Elizabeth B. Jenkins Jan. 4-9 in New York City.

Naalehu, Hawaii (November 25, 2013) — The chance to begin 2014 by acquiring the secrets to be empowered by nature and increase your NQ (nature quotient) to live in harmony with your world will be taught in two life-changing seminars led by Elizabeth B. Jenkins Jan. 4-9 in New York City.

Jenkins, an organic farmer and international best-selling author of three books on the Inka Nature Wisdom Tradition, will travel from Hawaii to New York to provide a rare opportunity for Americans to learn and apply the nature wisdom of the ancient Inka civilization of Peru.

“This training opportunity will be of great benefit for people in the healing professions, for people who deal professionally with other people like salesmen or business leaders, and for anyone who loves nature,” explains Jenkins who was born with special nature wisdom that was heightened while living for four years in Peru. “Others who have been drawn to these seminars have been people who love nature, people concerned about climate change, and members of the Audubon Society, Sierra Club, and other nature organizations.”

“Inka Mysticism: Level 1” will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. January 4-5, 2014 at the New York Open Center, 22 East 30th Street.

“Inka Mysticism: Levels 2 & 3” will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. January 6-9, 2014, at the New York Theosophical Society, 242 East 53 Street.

The Level 1 introductory session will cover the first four of seven energy principles of the Fourth Level, the basic world view of the Inkas, which teach us to:

– Experience the world as living energy
– Learn to exchange living energy to deepen our connection with nature
– Acquire a philosophy of complements where there are no opposites, no positive or negative energy, no good or bad.
– Develop the practice of healing first self and then others by learning to absorb the heavy energy of others, to take charge of a situation, overcome fear and bring about change through personal empowerment.

In Levels 2, & 3 participants will learn further Inka tools on how to collaborate with natural processes, how to make a ‘despacho’, the ceremonial practice of reciprocal exchange with nature, as well as how to create their own power packs or ‘mesas’ to effect healing and increase Nature communication, learning how to make a traditional offering specifically for the environment in which one lives to increase harmony and health in home and community.

Persons attending the seminar could get a head start, if they chose, by reading Jenkins’ recently released book The Fourth Level: Nature Wisdom Teachings of the Inka (ISBN 1491240903, Pu’umaka’s Press, 2013, $19.95, 251 pages, (http://www.TheFourthLevel.org). Jenkins’ best-seller The Return of the Inkas has been translated into 24 languages.

A licensed psychotherapist, cultural investigator, and worldwide teacher of the Inka tradition, Jenkins is founder/director of Wiraqocha Foundation for the Preservation of Indigenous Wisdom and as a teacher of Inkan spirituality has been leading trips to Peru for more than 25 years.

In 2010 Jenkins served as technical advisor and guide to the DISCOVERY CHANNEL’s Beyond Survival with Les Stroud where she led Stroud and camera crew into the Andean mountains to join the Q’ero Indians on their yearly pilgrimage to the holy site of Qollariti.

Early-bird discounts are offered to registrants who sign up before December 2, 2013, and savings can be realized by signing up for both seminars at the same time. To register for the seminars go to http://www.thefourthlevel.org/events.

Can Disco and the Blues be Combined? Don’t You Want to Know?

This was the question composer Michael Droste wanted to answer. Through his Play The Blues series at PlayTheBlues.com Droste wanted to teach everyone playing a musical instrument how to play the blues.

Streamwood, IL, November 25, 2013 – This was the question composer Michael Droste wanted to answer. Through his Play The Blues series at PlayTheBlues.com Droste wanted to teach everyone playing a musical instrument how to play the blues. He released 16 different recordings to teach everyone, on every instrument, the blues changes, and give the pros and beginners many choruses to learn how to solo in the blues.

“For this particular release,” he stated, “why not combine disco and the blues together and see how it sounds?” Pleased with the results, the recordings are now available for everyone at every online music retailer.

As fan of the Chicago blues scene, he continues to create recordings that combines the blues with jazz, hip hop, techno, and rock. “One should not be limited to one style of music with the blues,” he said. “The blues changes slot well into other genres,” Droste stated.

As the Trumpet is his main instrument, he could understand the frustration of trying to find some blues recordings for soloing in a key for his instrument. “I wanted the Oboe, Clarinet, Trombone, Piano, Alto Tenor and Soprano Sax players each to have their own dedicated recordings,” he stated. “The only solution was to release 16 different recordings, one for each instrument, and provide all levels of musicians with many different musical keys and styles,” Droste said. That goal is still being realized with hundreds of recordings released at PlayTheBlues.com

Not wanting to short change any instrument the series is made accessible to all with versions for the guitar, tuba, wood recorders, and drum set. Each recording also includes a mini blues tutorial at the end of the blues choruses. There are instructions at PlayTheBlues.com of some ‘magic notes’ that will sound good with each recording, and their specific instrument and key.

Windy Town Releases: ‘Greatest Hits from One Song Every Day Project’

I thought about raising the stakes, and mulled it over, “Could someone write One Song Every Day?” It just seems to be an absolutely zany thought, and it seems to be such a monumental task.

Bartlett, IL, November 26, 2013 — Michael Droste, released an album called “Greatest Hits from One Song Every Day Project.” “I started to learn about music through the trumpet and still play today. I went to DePaul University on a trumpet scholarship, and then got interested digital recording with computers, synthesizers and MIDI. Technology has come a long way from the old 4 track cassette recorders with out board effects, – to all digital recordings and digital processing done completely in the computer.)” said Droste. He stated, “Could one write 365 songs? – all holidays, every day? – no matter if your sick, no vacations, no time off? – a task to complete every day for one year?” “Currently, I’m in the process of taking my favorite songs and remastering them with today’s technology. I wished I had the time each day to ‘fix’ the song and make them the way I hear them now… , ” said Droste.

Michael Droste was the first person to complete the song a day task. Many have called him the, “Song A Day Guy.” Others have tried to follow and copy the project but Michael Droste was the originator, and all others were followers.

First Ever Bitcoin For Kids Book Series Launched With Bitcoin Giveaway Contest

Ponn Sabra and her three daughters release a four-book “Bitcoin for Kids” book series about the digital currency and giving away 0.25* Bitcoin (approx. $87). By making Bitcoin easy and fun to use, they hope to motivate kids and moms to try it out, further pushing Bitcoin to the mainstream.

Los Angeles, CA, November 15, 2013 – Best-selling authors and bloggers Ponn, JuJu (13), GiGi (12) and JoJo (10) Sabra today announce the “Bitcoin for Kids” Series to motivate moms and kids to use Bitcoin. Bitcoin is ideal for kids. The digital currency can be sent by anyone of any age, in any amount, to anywhere in the world, anytime of the day or night. Using Bitcoin is as easy as sending an email or SMS/text message.

Bitcoin has been maligned and celebrated in recent news. The story of a man from Norway who bought $27 in Bitcoin four years ago that is worth over $850,000 today captured a lot of positive attention. The Sabra’s hope stories like this and those in their books will help build more awareness and interest in Bitcoin. “We want to help make Bitcoin more mainstream by showing families how easy and fun it is to use,” said Ponn Sabra.

The Sabra’s created the website bitkidz.com, the first to teach Kids about Bitcoin. “We created the first Bitcoin-for-kids website, the only Bitcoin forum for kids, and our book series will be used to teach kids in the classroom and online,” said Ponn Sabra. The Introductory book features the first published case study of kids using Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin for Kids book series includes:

* Bitcoin for Kids Primer: Kids Making Money Online – 12 Inspirational Stories That Will Motivate You To Action!

* Bitcoin for Kids Book 1: Putting Money In Kids’ Hands Today For A Better Tomorrow – No Need For Virtual Worlds and Make-Believe Money

* Bitcoin for Kids Book 2: How To Earn, Save, Spend and Share Bitcoin – Easy, Fast and Fun Step-by-Step Tutorials

* Bitcoin for Kids Book 3: Wise Words From the World’s Best Bitcoiners – Bitcoin Breaks The Boundaries Of Age And Much More

The books can be purchased with Bitcoin (or with fiat currency through Amazon) and a link for the FREE Primer can be found at bitkidz.com/bitcoinforkids

In the process of educating kids, they also hope to counter common myths about Bitcoin. “People stay away from Bitcoin because they either believe it’s too volatile, attracts criminals, or, they think Bitcoin is so high-tech that the average person won’t be able to understand it.” said Sabra. “While there’s some truth to those extreme statements, by writing a book series by kids for kids we’re demonstrating that if kids understand Bitcoin, so can others!”

Bitcoin* Giveaway Contest

The Sabra’s are hosting a Bitcoin Giveaway Contest during the first week of the book series release, November 13 – 19, 2013. The Grand Prize will be 0.25* BTC and a digital copy of The “Bitcoin For Kids Trilogy” ($7.97 value). To encourage families to have fun watching the Bitcoin market value, the *Grand Prize will be based on November 19th’s average rate to be no less than $70 or the full amount of 0.25 BTC transferred to the winner’s Bitcoin wallet. Current rate: $87. Enter to Win at bitkidz.com/bitcoingiveaway

Generous bitcoiners are welcomed to donate to increase the 0.25* BTC Grand Prize at Bitcoin address: 18FU644xiZ7TAEhVGKPDEhmuYvgnmNiPge

Second Prize: $50 gift card from Gyft.com

Why use Bitcoin? The Sabra’s say because it is digital, practical, cheaper, safer, more secure and global. “Kids and moms need to learn how to use it now! The sooner the better, and the more lucrative because the value keeps climbing. There is opportunity in being an early adopter.”

Even if Bitcoin drops in value, the Sabra’s think there are lessons. “The math behind it is amazing! Bitcoin helps kids learn economics, international finance, money markets (watching values go up and down), budgeting, spending versus saving, computers, technology, the Internet and much more. These crucial life lessons are often not taught in school or home today. My girls’ lives have forever changed since Bitcoin was introduced to us, and we want to impart this excitement to other families as well.”

The Bitcoin for Kids series was recently selected as curriculum at The Bitcoin Academy and the Bitcoin Bootcamp after school program. The Sabra’s, currently traveling overseas, conducted months of research and interviewed kids already using Bitcoin for the Primer. In their research, they found kids who have made significant returns using Bitcoin. The most interesting point shared by each kid was that Bitcoin has changed their lives.

The Sabra’s are available for interviews via Skype, Google-Hangout, or email.

10% of proceeds from BitKidz.com and the “Bitcion for Kids” book series will be donated to SeansOutpost.com (5%) and TheBitcoinAcademy.com (5%). An additional 5% during the month of November 2013 will to donated to the Philippines Typhoon victims via World Food Program.

Story Eases Children’s Bedtime Fears

Helps to Improve Their Reading Skills.

Houston, TX (USA), November 15, 2013 — Future educator Alicia Lloyd’s new book When the Monsters Are Quiet will help children become more proficient readers while easing their bedtime fears. “The inspiration for the book truthfully came from my own experience,” Lloyd said. “I was sleeping in a different place and hearing all kinds of unfamiliar noises. My boyfriend later asked me how I slept, and I told him ‘eventually, when the monsters were quiet.’”

Published by Halo Publishing International, When the Monsters Are Quiet offers helpful hints for parents to improve reading and calm their child’s fears of darkness. “Alicia Lloyd took a common fear and created a story that will help children face it while also improving their reading proficiency,” said Halo Publisher Lisa Umina.

Lloyd said When the Monsters Are Quiet is a friendly book that will help children realize there are just different noises in the dark, not monsters. The story’s main character is a young boy modeled after Lloyd’s younger brother Zachary, now 13. “He had those big blue eyes and space pajamas,” said the author.

Lloyd said she has wanted to be a teacher since she was a young child. She attended a Teacher Academy while still in high school and after graduation earned an Associate’s Degree in Education from Delaware County Community College in Pennsylvania. Presently, Lloyd is in her senior year at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where she is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Grades Preparation (pre-Kindergarten through fourth grade) and Special Education. She has a strong passion for working with children and is employed as a preschool teacher at Nottingham Country Daycare in Nottingham, Pennsylvania- very close to where she resides in Oxford, Pennsylvania. Lloyd said she has always enjoyed writing and hopes to publish other books in the future.

Nine Year Old Illustrator and Author Mother Launch Kickstarter Campaign for YA Fantasy Fiction Book

Sydney Shiu a nine year old illustrator and her mother Tricia Steward Shiu have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the publishing of their new book “Iron Shinto.”

Los Angeles, CA, USA (October 31, 2013) — Sydney Shiu a nine year old illustrator and her mother Tricia Steward Shiu have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the publishing of their new book “Iron Shinto.”

Kickstarter is the world’s largest crowd-funding platform. The company’s mission is to help bring creative projects to life and “Iron Shinto” is now one of them. The worldwide campaign will cover editing, publishing and publicity for “Iron Shinto,” as well as the audio books for all three books in the Moa series. “Sydney does an incredible job in the project video of explaining her role in this breakout series, “Moa,” “Statue of Ku,” and “Iron Shinto,” says Tricia. “We would love the support of Young Adult Fantasy Fictions readers and others who just love books,” adds Shiu.

Donations begin at $1.00 and top off at $1,200. “We also have some incredible rewards for donating: an exclusive ritual for Kickstarter donors, an hour long book talk, signed paperbacks, MP3s, eBooks and much more!” says Shiu. Find out more at: Kickstarter or http://j.mp/1aqsJWb.

Iron Shinto, now in manuscript form has already garnered a FIVE STAR review by an Amazon Hall of Fame (Top 50) Reviewer Grady Harp who writes:

‘What exactly is real? Your thoughts make whatever you perceive to be real. Beyond that, what exists?’ Tricia Stewart Shiu has stepped into territory that few contemporary writers of novels have journeyed – concepts of many permutations of the spirit world as experienced and acted out by contemporary characters. Reading Shiu’s book IRON SHINTO (the third volume of her series of books entitled The Moa Books) is not only immensely entertaining as a story, but also illuminating as to the concepts of the levels of existence that bond the corporeal world with the spirit world.

Each chapter opens with a ritual that the reader can actually follow and perform, moments of enlightenment that heighten the meaning of the novel but also serve to open the reader’s mind to the seemingly endless possibilities of realms of existence – call it reincarnation or alternative levels of being or whatever connects the reader with a willingness to think along different lines. Though Shiu writes her books for a Teen or Young Adult audience, her commitment to expand the mind is so well centered that her audience could comfortably and satisfyingly include adult readers, especially those curious about universal levels of being.
–Grady Harp, Amazon Hall of Fame Reviewer

Iron Shinto is the third book in the Moa series by Tricia Stewart Shiu. All three chronicle a fanciful flight through time and space in a multi-dimensional universe of interplanetary spirits.

The author, in addition to being an award-winning playwright, is also a metaphysical adept who actually met Moa, the ancient Hawaiian spirit at the heart of the series. “When I was five,” Ms. Shiu explained, “I was visited by a vision. I’ll never forget it, I was running down the stairs and the entity, a girl with dark hair, stopped me in my tracks. The spirit said that I would go through a deeply challenging time in my life, but would resurface, later in life, with unimaginable joy and fulfillment. That vision stayed with me.”

Many years later, taking a nap during a visit to her husband’s family home in Honolulu, that dark-haired girl came back. “In my mind’s eye, I saw a beautiful young woman with dark hair, who said her name was Moaahuulikkiaaakea’o Haanaapeekuluueehuehakipuunahe’e-Moa for short.”

Ms. Shiu’s experience with this benevolent spirit launched her into a personal journey of spiritual exploration which included studies in mediumship, pagan and Huna rituals as well as an energy healing technique called “Crystalline Consciousness Technique.” She also studied a variety of shamanic clearing methods and healing rituals.

The result of the author’s unique background is that each chapter of the book begins with a meditative ritual that pertains to that chapter. Some of the rituals, oils or meditations are even mentioned in the plot of the book. All of these rituals are easily done by the reader and have remarkably soothing and healing properties.

The author sums it all up this way; “Whatever your belief or understanding of the metaphysical world, I believe that if one person is transformed through learning, then we are all transformed. I truly believe the Moa I met came through in this work and, just as I connected with her as I wrote, those who read the book will experience her as well.”

Iron Shinto (ISBN: 978-0-9840020-8-5, 2013 Human Being Publishing, 208 Pages, Available on Amazon in Paperback, $12.95 and for $6.99 on Kindle 978-0-9840020-6-1 or on the author’s website http://humanbeingcompany.com. Bollywood has become one of the world’s largest film industries since the debut of its first official film on 3 May 1913, Raja Harishchandra by Dadasaheb Phalke. Producing some 1,000 films a year (twice the annual output of Hollywood), the stars of its silver screen are known the world over.

As reported by The Telegraph, the UK is home to the largest audience for Bollywood films outside of India, contributing 15-20 per cent of the industry’s profits.

Says Conferro’s Director Sharan Seth, “With Bollywood such an ingrained part of our cultural identity and the timely centenary of Bollywood film, our first auction reflects India’s rich and vibrant history and artistic practices”.

Dr Anna Morcom, Senior Lecturer at Royal Holloway University adds, “Since the 1990s, Bollywood has gone global on a new level, embraced enthusiastically by the Indian diaspora and through them, has gained a presence in the mainstream of US and UK culture”.
