Northern California song writer Doug Ranno in association with Franklin Street Studios and Redpath® Music, has released a new music album with a team of A list musicians called The Harvesting Crew™.

Ranno releases new version of Part of Me song replacing Vietnam with Afghanistan in the words.

Salinas, CA, October 29, 2014 – Long time BMI singer song writer, Doug Ranno with his band The Harvesting Crew™, in association with Franklin Street Studios, has released his first studio produced and mastered, music album, featuring an A list team of musicians he likes to call The Harvesting Crew™. Some of the musicians have played and recorded with the likes of The Doobie Brothers, The Steve Miller Band, Great American Taxi, Nora Jones, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, The Jefferson Airplane, Lacy J Dalton, just to name a few. Ranno has written or co-written 11 of the songs on the album he calls The Musical Harvester® and the music is receiving powerful reviews from California to Nashville. You can see a link below of the band recording a songs from the Musical Harvester™ Album in the studio and the Album is now available at most digital stores including ITUNES. You can also listen to the 13 songs from the album at the Drop Box link location below or by going to Doug Ranno Music on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DougRannoMusic) and like the Doug Ranno and The Harvesting Crew™ Band Page to receive a free non downloadable ReverbNation stream of the songs.

Music Producer Jim Lewin said about the Musical Harvester Album, “Working on the Musical Harvester record has been a ton of fun. We had this amazing group of country musicians to create a backdrop for Doug’s rich baritone voice, and then he brought a great collection of songs which touch on various different styles within a modern country and blues context. Some Nashville country, some California country and some Delta Blues mixed in. Feedback on the album has been great.” Jim Lewin, Musician and Producer at Redpath Music.

In addition to being a very recognized agricultural business leader for years in California and Florida, a successful entrepreneur in the fresh produce industry, Ranno has also started Musical Harvest® (WWW.MUSICALHARVEST.COM) a unique custom made guitar business that makes uniquely designed guitars shaped like fruits and vegetables and who knows what else. Musical Harvest® guitars have raised thousands of dollars at charity events such as The Nashville Lifting Lives Foundation, The Florida Migrant Farmworkers Charity, Nashville Sound Kitchen’s We are Building Lives veterans charity, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Several children’s Food Allergy charities, School Music programs and numerous community support programs.

Until now, Ranno’s best known musical work was a song written in 1986 titled Part of Me. The song is about the thoughts that run through the mind of a recently returning Vietnam Veteran as he is preparing to get married. Part of Me was a popular 45 record in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s and was used to raise funds to build the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the Capitol of California, Sacramento California’s Capitol Park. In addition, the song Part of Me was used as background music for the NBC Emmy nominated documentary titled Perceptions (ASIAN AMERICANS IN THE VIETNAM WAR).

Ranno and the Harvesting Crew decided to update the lyrics of the song replacing Vietnam with Afghanistan and it is amazing how the song still works. Ranno said, “It must be some type of message about war. The fact that almost 30 years later the lyrics to this song are still relevant and touch people affected by war.” You can view a video and interview with Ranno about the song recorded at Franklin Street Studios in Monterey California below.

One of the songs from the Musical Harvester album, The Strange Harvest Song, is featured on a TV show pilot Ranno is also involved in as the Co Host appropriately titled Strange Harvest™. The Strange Harvest™ show has evolved from an original concept that celebrates local farmers, their great tasting, rare and unique crops while having fun with food, music and crazy guitars along the way. Photographer Writes Book To Benefit Animal Shelter

“How Dogs Make Cloud Pictures”.

Worcester, MA (USA), October 22, 2014 — Sheri Bready recently combined her passion for photography and dogs for a good cause. She wrote a book to benefit the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) called “How Dogs Make Cloud Pictures.” Released by Halo Publishing International, the book contains photographs of imaginative dog scenes with pets that are waiting for adoption.

“I wanted to use my photography for more than just making money,” says the Worcester photographer and author. “I wanted people to know in a creative way that these animals need homes.”

Inspired by her own two dogs, Bready says she always wonders what they are thinking. The front cover of the book displays a dog staring at the sky. The clouds look like a bone and a ball, giving the idea that if a dog made a cloud picture it would probably look like this.

“Sheri is a talented photographer and this book showcases her innovative ideas,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina. “But this book is more than just about Sheri’s creativity, it’s also an avenue to build awareness about pet adoption and raise funds for the no-kill shelter where she serves as a volunteer.”

Founded 1912, WARL has been dedicated to the care of animals as a private, non-profit organization. Staff and volunteers work tirelessly with foster homes, rescues groups and shelters nationwide to provide the best possible home. The costs for care, medicine, food, shelter, spray and neuter, training and prep for adoption far outweigh the costs the organization takes in for fees. Generous donors supply the rest of the funds.

You can purchase “How Dogs Make Cloud Pictures” through Amazon.com It sells for $19.95 A portion of the proceeds will benefit WARL. You can also contact WARL at (508) 853-0030 to see which dogs from the book still need a good home.

Biography:
Born and raised in New England, Sheri Bready is passionate about photography, dancing and dogs. She recently returned to school and graduated in 2013 from Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts. Along with having a full-time job and a photography business, “Sheri Bready Photography,” Bready volunteers weekly at Worcester Animal Rescue League. Relationship Expert Says “Like Yourself – Like Your Marriage”

Speaks on Self Worth While Releasing Second Book.

Mora, MN (USA), October 22, 2014 — Lisa Cassman, a licensed counselor, author, ordained minister and speaker, says men and women need to learn how to like themselves. She says liking yourself makes all the difference in any relationship, especially marriage. She recently wrote her second relationship book, “The Light in Your Eyes,” published by Halo Publishing International. It’s a poetic journey with her husband.

“When you learn who you are, you can learn to like yourself, then you can give more in a relationship instead of taking all the time,” says Cassman. “When both a husband and spouse can learn to do this successfully they can have a happier marriage.”

Research shows that self esteem is a huge issue globally, especially in women. One study shows only 4% of women think of themselves as beautiful, while 80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful but do not see their own beauty.

Cassman says these stats are a product of what’s really going on inside of woman – her self worth. She knows because she also struggled growing up with low self-esteem and self worth. That’s why she speaks and writes from her own experience through sexual abuse, and a struggling marriage that ended in divorce. Through her faith and learning to like herself, she received healing. Now she’s married to the man of her dreams.

In her self-worth seminars, Cassman gives keys to help others find out what causes low self-worth and avenues toward solutions, while also encouraging attendees to draw on their faith for healing.

“Lisa’s seminars and books weave a dynamic story of brokenness to wholeness, which helps others to do the same in their personal lives and marriages,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina.

Books:
“The Road Less Traveled… A Guide to a Positive Marriage,” was inspired while on a road trip with her husband in his semi-truck traveling along the West Coast. From her professional experience, she pours her inspirational insight and her own personal understanding of relationships into her work and guiding others through marriage. You can purchase it for $12.95

“The Light in Your Eyes,” written across the last 30 years, documents Cassman’s journey into what love means, as her husband, Steve, showed her, starting when they were hopeful teens. You can purchase it for $11.95.

You can book Cassman as a speaker or wedding officiant by visiting www.LisaCassman.net.

Biography:
A Minnesota native, Lisa Cassman has more than 20 years experience counseling children and families in the church, as well as working with sexual abuse and domestic violence victims at a crisis center. She has a bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling from the Pastoral Counseling Center, which is accredited through the National Christian Counseling Association (NCCA), and is also certified to administer the Arno Profile System (A.P.S.) report, which is a personal identification/inventory. She and her husband have four children together and six grandchildren. She enjoys speaking at women’s conferences and traveling to officiate weddings.

The High-Tech Age is Changing the Way People Entertainment – Interactive Bar Table

The bar known as the Junction, which is surrounded by Ivy League universities, recently provided a new challenge to RichTech.

Claremont, CA (USA), October 16th, 2014 — Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, people’s lives are undergoing revolutionary change. For example, the Smart phone shortened the distance between people, and the High Speed Rail shortened the distance between city and city. Furthermore, High technology also provides people with a better way of entertainment. Here is the best proof of this case:

The bar known as the Junction, which is surrounded by Ivy League universities, recently provided a new challenge to RichTech. The bar just wanted to become more interactive and appealing. After some consideration, RichTech responded by producing the new Interactive Bar system. This system offers new and exciting ways for customers to enjoy an evening out.

The new Interactive Bar represents an improvement on a previous product that the Junction had used to great effect. In this case, the bar was a top-projection model that was further customized using the interactive technology. The final version of the bar measured a total of 5.46 meters long by 0.7 meters wide. The bar is simple to set up and can fit into a relatively small space if needed. When put into action, the bar drew a lot of attention from patrons who enjoyed seeing the different programs and games that were available.

With the projection lamps placed overhead, the establishment was able to turn a simple blank bar space into something that served as the center of attention during a busy night. The heavy emphasis on nature themes helped to bring a calming sense of nature to an otherwise busy bar. This can be an excellent way to give a business a different feel than what people normally expect. They come to the bar not only for drinks, but also for the innovative and amazing Interactive Bar Table. This means that the bar became something more than just a social venue – it became a central part of the conversation.

As a whole,High-tech changes the way people entertainment, and it also changes the way of life. Some might say that technology is a double edged sword. Whatever, just enjoy it!
