Handing Out Life the Newest Release from Halo Publishing International

Rev. Dr. Todd Biermann Provides Tangible Strategies for Developing Rewarding Relationships.

Grand Blanc, MI (USA), May 12th, 2016 — Relationships can be challenging. Whether the relationship is between a married couple, a parent and child or dear friends, each connection ebbs and flows through happy and challenging times. Rev. Dr. Todd A. Biermann’s new book Handing Out Life: The Simple Way to Rewarding Relationships in All of Life, provides the reader with easy to understand and implement tactics for improved communication and a deeper connection in marriage and every other relationship.

“As far back as college I have been witnessing the dynamics of relationships; those that work and those that struggle,” said author Rev. Dr. Todd Biermann. “I noted a strong correlation between the math and science I studied and the order of God’s message. I began counseling couples using three simple concepts found in the Bible of sacrifice, unconditional commitment and physical care.”

Handing Out Life: The Simple Way to Rewarding Relationships in All of Life, is divided into three sections. The first is a real life parable of Josh who is on the brink of losing everything that he holds dear; family, home, career and perhaps even his sanity. He learns new priorities and gains the tools he needs to move toward rewarding relationships. In the second portion of the book Biermann explores the words of God found in Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5 and Ephesians 5:31 that illustrate how Jesus loves us and we in turn should love each other. The final section offers eight Bible study lessons that delve further into the Word and how we can apply it to our lives, including a section specific to single individuals.

“Although the basic principles are rooted in Scripture, this isn’t a book just for the churched,” says Biermann. “The message is clearly one of forgiveness and spiritual strength. It applies to everyone. Those that desire a closer, healthier relationship with someone special in their life will benefit from the simple and timeless wisdom offered within the pages of Handing Out Life.”

“I have enjoyed working with Pastor Todd,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “The message in his book is easy to understand and the illustrations and exercises help to solidify the lessons in a way that is memorable. His book is a great gift for newlyweds, those special couples in your life and really anyone who seeks a closer relationship with those in their lives.”

Handing Out Life: The Simple Way to Rewarding Relationships in All of Life, helps unlock the mystery to rewarding relationships with God, family, friends, work associates, and even enemies. You will be able to remember what you learn with two simple illustrations that are as clear as your hand in front of your face. Be prepared to hand out life. Handing Out Life is available as a paperback ($14.95) and in e-book format ($6.99) at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Halo Publishing.

Dr. Biermann will be giving a brief talk on Handing Out Life at 6:00p.m. and signing books until 8:00p.m. at McFarlen Library, 515 Perry Rd., Grand Blanc on Thursday, July 14. Public invited. Refreshments and door prizes (including an electronic book reader) will be provided.

FED Publishing Releases New Book, “Mary Fields aka Stagecoach Mary” by Erich Martin Hicks

Mary Fields aka Stagecoach Mary, by Erich Martin Hicks, was a cigar smoking, shotgun and pistol toting Negro Woman of the Wild West, who could knock out any man with one punch. A piece of historical fiction that is a must read.

Woodland Hills, CA, USA — “A fantastic novel, of a great American heroine’s life.” 5 Star Review – Tariano (Tito) Jackson, The Jackson 5

Erich Martin Hicks’s Mary Fields aka Stagecoach Mary is unlike any other story you’ve read about Mary Fields. This fictionalized story has been dramatically enhanced for your entertainment pleasures; however, ‘most’ of the stories–and the outcomes within this novel–are historically genuine.

Mary was 6 feet tall, and weighed over 200 pounds, and was the second woman in ‘history’ to carry the U. S. Mail, and the only ‘Negro’, for hundreds and hundreds of miles when she first arrived in Montana.

This feature story covers Mary’s colorful life, from the plantation where she was born a slave in 1832, to the famous Steamboat race between the “Robert E. Lee” and the “Natchez” on the Mississippi River, to her death in Cascade, Montana, 1914.

Dedicated to exploring the history of African-Americans/Blacks and shattering stereotypes, Erich Hick’s Alpha Wolf Productions, Inc. has developed a feature film documentary, Soul on a Wave which exposes the life and times of surfers of color. Erich’s first novel, Rescue at Pine Ridge, was released in December 2008. The novel is a historical narrative, depicting the all-Black 9th Calvary. Known as the US military’s famed ‘Buffalo Soldiers’, which helped settle the American West in the late 1800’s. Erich has completed an accompanying screenplay for a TV mini-series, Trilogy, and Epic Feature, and has garnered support from some of HOLLYWOOD’S acclaimed Industry Producers/Directors/and Actors.

Amazon 5 Stars – The author did a tremendous job in getting facts about her life. This no doubt needs to be made into a movie or a mini-series. This book also should be placed in the educational system so history can be told how times were during slavery and post slavery.

Amazon 5 Stars – A story of a real, amazing woman who was the first Black woman to work for the U.S. Postal Service following the Civil War. The author takes us back to Mary’s childhood as a slave, and builds the story of how she overcame violent reactions to her color and size, and how so many came to love and respect her. It is a fascinating read.

FED Publishing Releases New Book, “100 things I love and hate about losing 100 lbs!” by Angela Hartshorn

100 things I love and hate about losing 100 lbs!, by Angela Hartshorn, shares her thoughts on the trials and tribulations she endured in her emotional rollercoaster of losing weight.

San Diego, CA, USA — Angela Hartshorn’s 100 things I love and hate about losing 100 lbs! is an easy, quick read, loaded with humor and honesty. 5 Star Reviews!

Losing weight is an emotional experience and not all of it is happy. Actually, most of it is not happy. Luckily for me I was able to take the big things that stuck to me and focus on the love and hate of each of those things.

At the age of 36 I was over 225 pounds when I decided I needed to lose weight. I really had no idea how to do it so I just made sure I did not eat every single thing I wanted, and tried to get some exercise. As I changed my lifestyle the weight began to come off and over five years I lost 100 pounds. As I went through this process I noticed there was a lot of things I hated. I found myself not nearly as happy as I thought I would be about losing weight so I began to look at those things I hated in a more positive light. In the end I created a list of 100 things I loved, and hated about losing 100 pounds. I have been able to list these things and add commentary to each one of those things. Humor has always been a coping mechanism for me and this book is a great example of how I approach just about everything in life. Good, and bad.

Author Angela Hartshorn is a 42 year old woman who has been described as a chocolate chip cookie with a dash of Tobasco sauce. She spent over five years losing 100 pounds, and has since successfully NOT kept all the weight off. She takes one day at a time, and has been known to have several months of bad eating at a time, but has been able to keep her weight under control by her own standards. As the 100 goal line was approaching she felt a deep need to share her thoughts with others who may be experiencing the same things. She enjoys spending time with her family, learning new things, and eating cupcakes.

Genre – Honest, Humorous, Weight Loss, Struggle, Love, Hate, Cupcakes, Food, Frustration, Happiness

The ebook version of 100 things I love and hate about losing 100 lbs! Fusion Art Gallery Opens in Palm Springs, California

Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of its gallery in Palm Springs, California on May 4, 2016.

Palm Springs, CA, USA — Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of its gallery in Palm Springs, California on May 4, 2016.

Located at 2658 S. Cherokee Way, in the historic Backstreet Art District, Fusion Art joins an assortment of artist-owned galleries and working studios that feature diverse collections of original, contemporary art by locally, nationally & internationally recognized artists.

Founded by Chris and Valerie Hoffman, the gallery was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. Originally conceived as an online gallery that hosts international juried art competitions and exhibitions, Fusion Art has now grown to include a “brick and mortar” space in Palm Springs.

“It has always been my dream to open an art gallery and I am fortunate to now be at a point in my life to make it a reality,” said Fusion Art owner, Chris Hoffman. “I know how difficult it is for an artist to receive wall space in any gallery. A gallery has economics attached to it and is in the business of selling art. But Valerie and I also know that exposure is key to sales. So we launched Fusion Art, initially, on the web.”

“The goal,” noted Valerie, “when the website launched in mid 2015, was to give emerging and established artists the opportunity to gain experience and exposure as well as promote and connect artists with collectors and art enthusiasts.”

The website currently hosts monthly, themed, international online juried art competitions and exhibitions. The gallery gives monetary awards to the top three winners in each category and the Best in Show winners receive invitations to participate in a group exhibition to be held annually in Palm Springs. The first group exhibition will be held at the gallery in November 2016.

The gallery will showcase Chris’s art as well at the artwork of several other very talented artists including Chicago based abstract artist, Michael Goldzweig; Cleveland based Op Art artist, Evie Zimmer; Colorado based palette knife artist, Jeanie Gebhart; and Los Angeles based, Argentinean artist and figurative bronze sculptor, Alicia Savio. Both Michael and Evie were award winners in Fusion Art’s online juried art competitions.

The mission of Fusion Art is to create an online gallery seamlessly connected to the brick and mortar gallery. Fusion Art promotes and connects emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art experiences, art related education, engage in dialogue with artists, and purchase fine works of art.

The Gallery’s opening reception will be held the evening of May 4th between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
