Lazy Tree Ranch Consulting With Disc Golf Professionals on Course Design

Brewpub, food, bark park, playground all compliment the setting and add to the family friendly atmosphere.

Liberty Hill, TX, USA — Lazy Tree Ranch (http://www.lazytreeranch.com), a new events venue currently under construction in west Liberty Hill near Bertram, is consulting with disc golf industry professionals on the construction of a disc golf course at the events facility. The course, yet to be named, will have challenging holes with a fair amount of obstacles (trees).

Managing partner and co-founder Carl Braun is excited about the prospects. “We were approached by the disc golf community about creating something special at Lazy Tree Ranch. The greater Austin area is the epicenter for disc golf enthusiasts worldwide. Adding disc golf to our venue along with the Hops and Grapes brewpub, bark park, soccer field and play area will definitely put us on the map.”

Professional Disc Golf Association @PDGA players Thomas Stricklin and Kristen Womac are ecstatic about the opportunity.

“Thomas and I visited Lazy Tree Ranch a couple weeks ago and were amazed with the possibilities for a professional disc golf course on the property. As PDGA amateurs, with numerous career wins we have always wanted to participate in a project of our own where we had control over the creation of a world class disc golf course. Now, having invested as co-owners we’ll have a chance to put our stamp of approval on the project along with other disc golf enthusiasts,” noted Kristen “Kiki” Womac.

@LazyTreeRanch was founded in 2016 to become the area’s largest concert and events center. The 10.6 acre track is covered in one-hundred year old oak trees and has a huge grass field (150,000 sq ft) for soccer, events, concerts and of course disc golf. The Hops and Grapes Brewpub with beer, food and wine is expected to open later this year.

PDGA disc golfers can see a video and invest in the Lazy Tree Project starting at $100 on http://www.wefunder.com/lazytreeranch in a Regulation C crowdfunding effort. Special perks for disc golf enthusiasts will be offered. Terms on the website.

Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) Produces Exquisite Debut EP for New Australian Indie Duo, Secret Solis, with Terepai Richmond (The Whitlams) on the Drums

Adelaide, Australia, 2017-May-18 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — Between sold out tours of Australia and Canada in 2016, Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) invited new Australian indie folk / rock duo Secret Solis to record their debut EP, “Deep Down” at River House Studios near Byron Bay. The sessions produced a five track album of indie folk / rock anthems, the tracks resonating with both Led Zeppelin’s driving acoustic rock and the ethereal ballads of Pink Floyd. Jeff’s eastern palette adds an eclectic flavour to the EP that is reminiscent of his early albums with The Tea Party, as in Splendor Solis and Edges of Twilight. Terepai Richmond (The Whitlams) joins the line up on drums providing a John Bonham / Ginger Baker style foundation for the albums songs.

When asked to describe the project Martin says “I have been waiting for years to produce a sound like this at River House Studios. Of all the production work I have done over the last 25 years, including my work with The Tea Party, Secret Solis’ EP “Deep Down” is in the top five of work that I am most proud of.”

Secret Solis was formed in 2012 when established Cairns-based singer/songwriter, Kian Eder met Cally Pysden, a pianist and singer/songwriter from Adelaide. Before meeting Cally, Kian’s music was heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, The Tea Party, A Perfect Circle, and acoustic rock cross-over artists like Ben Harper. Collaborating with Cally added a new dimension to Kian’s vision, elevating the music to new heights with her soaring ethereal vocals the likes of Enya, Dido, Sia and Amy-Lee. Enter Jeff Martin as producer and musician using production techniques straight out of Jimmy Page’s playbook, and Terepai Richmond (The Whitlams) on drums and you have a special magic happening in the mix.

Martin agreed to produce the band after hearing only a small section of their demo, “Speechless Soul” and the rest is history. Jeff plays all the heavy guitars and solos, hurdy gurdy and synths including his boutique theremin. He also lends his voice to the band’s debut single, “Sunshine”. The second single, “Are You Listening?” features Jeff playing an old school rock solo unlike many have ever heard.

Both singles are now available at secretsolis.bandcamp.com

When asked what the songs are about Kian says “The songs are based on our personal experiences but ultimately we are aiming to create relatable themes that resonate with everyone. We want this music to heal, uplift and empower people to face and overcome the many challenges of life as our favourite music has done for us.”

The Debut EP “Deep Down” will be released via bandcamp on the 16th of June, 2017.

Secret Solis are currently seeking expressions of interest from record labels, managers and booking agents to take the project to the next level.

Emerging Songwriter/Singer Ashley J Announces New Steamy Single “Trapped,” Due Out May 19th!

Pop songwriter/singer Ashley J launches a new chapter in her emergence as contemporary pop artist with a brand new single, “Trapped.”

Orlando, FL, May 16, 2017 – Pop songwriter/singer Ashley J launches a new chapter in her emergence as contemporary pop artist with a brand new single, “Trapped.” The inescapable and smoky single is set for an independent release on all digital and streaming platforms May 19, 2017 via her production imprint, Bombshell Music, Inc.

“Trapped” was written by Ashley J, who teamed up with legendary songwriter/producer and multi-platinum Grammy and Emmy winning, Narada Michael Walden, who produced her steamy single. Laced with mid-tempo snaps, shadowy synths and soft whispers; “Trapped” highlights a deep infatuation with a new partner. Ashley’s sultry pipes gradually build a gravitating tension throughout the song, until it hits the exciting and uncontrollable bridge which reveals her scintillating and broad vocal range.

Walden, who has produced a slew of hit records for vocal superstar Diva’s like Aretha Franklin, Diana the late Whitney Houston, among others, gives the burgeoning songstress a five-star rating, “Ashley J is a real American sweetheart with a big voice and lots of energy! She has soul and her beautiful smile lights up the room,” he noted.

For music fans of Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter and Demi Lovato, “Trapped” offers her fans a compelling impression for what to expect from Ashley J’s debut EP coming out later this year.

Last year, Ashley J made her entry into the pop scene with her romantically charged single, “Dare Ya” which peaked at #3 on the Official European Independent Music Charts. The music video also received support and praise from Paste Magazine, EDM Droid, and Media Place.

In 2015, her debut solo single “One and One” reached Billboard’s Top 20 Dance Charts. She followed that up with another dance record, “Cali” (Ralphi Roasio Remix) which debuted #1 on Billboard’s Breakout Chart the first week of release.

About Ashley J:

Growing up in Orlando, the multi-talented songwriter/singer was influenced by Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and her all time musical hero, Dolly Parton, Ashley J started songwriting and singing at a very early age. Her musical style intertwines unapologetic pop with enticing electronic melodies. She earned a BA degree in Business Law from the University of North Texas and attended the Dr. Phillips High School of Performing Arts in Orlando, where she scored leading roles in theatre, dance and musical productions.

FED Publishing Releases New Book, “Fables for Wisdom Seekers Young and Old” by Barbara A. Meyers

Fables for Wisdom Seekers Young and Old, by Barbara A. Meyers, shares with us stories that help children deal with many of today’s issues.

Henniker, NH, USA — Barbara A. Meyers’s Fables for Wisdom Seekers Young and Old helps you guide children through many of today’s difficult issues.

Following in the legacy of teaching stories, Fables for Wisdom Seekers Young and Old invites caring adults and children ages 6-11 to explore together ideas about building self-esteem, the challenges of being a member of a family, school, and community, as well as being a citizen of the world.

Each fable is accompanied by a series of suggested talking points to support adults in deepening the story and moving it from the realm of fantasy to the everyday world of the child and reader. These conversations join the natural instincts of children – their curiosity, intuitive knowing, zest for learning, open-hearted caring, innate wisdom and joy in playing – with the wisdom adults have gained through experience. Together children and adults build a bridge to a future in which our ways of being reflect what is fair and just for all who share this planet.

“I really loved this book and can see so many possibilities of integrating it in my classroom.” ~Rogene Carter

A Community Comes Together in the Delightful Children’s Story “Have You Seen Henry?”

Author Michael Worley has been creating stories and drawing cartoons since he was a little boy.

Dallas, TX (USA), May 13th, 2017 — Author Michael Worley has been creating stories and drawing cartoons since he was a little boy. His imagination has spawned several other children’s stories including “Sonny the Scarecrow”, “The Quiet Giant”, “A Dog’s Tale”, “Everett the Piano” and “Lacey Shoestring’s Amazing Red Wagon Adventure.” In “Have You Seen Henry?” Worley was inspired by an actual possum encounter in his backyard.

“There was something so intriguing and fun about the possum that wandered into my backyard that I couldn’t resist featuring him in a children’s story,” said Worley. “I love animals and how they interact and as I was writing the story of Henry I began to imagine a community of animals within a neighborhood who are willing to work together for a common good.”

Each of the characters in “Have You Seen Henry?” are beautifully brought to life by illustrator Jorge Chiquillo. Worley uses repetition and clever alliteration with each character’s name like Frieda Fox, Amy Armadillo, and Roger Rooster which help children remember a growing number of adorable animals who come to the aide of Henry’s wife, Henrietta. As the story progresses and tensions mount, Worley shows how friends can encourage and support each other even in difficult times.

“I hope children will learn a lesson in the value of friendship,” said Worley. “In my life I have seen first hand the benefits of willing to help others in their time of need. I believe it is an especially important lesson for children to learn from a young age. Rather than finding fault, we should look for ways to come together with kindness, generosity and friendship.”

“Michael has written such a fun story that children will want to read it over and over,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “Each page of the story introduces a new character, building a growing community of friends who are on a hunt for the missing Henry. Children and parents will laugh out loud at the conclusion when they discover Henry in the last place imaginable.”

Worley is hard at work creating a new story about an unlikely alien named George the Goon that he hopes will be brought to life in a feature length animated movie. In the meantime, look for upcoming sequels to “Lacey Shoestring’s Amazing Red Wagon Adventure” and the further adventures of Rex the Dog and Rudy the Rabbit from “A Dog’s Tale.”

“Have You Seen Henry?” is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in hard cover for $17.95.

Taking ‘What If’ to a Scary Place in the New Fiction Book “Six Keys”

A fan of all things horror, Meg Garcia has crafted a series of short stories that take ordinary circumstances to an original place, blowing your mind with every turn of the page.

Ft. Wayne, IN (USA), May 13th, 2017 — Let your imagination run wild and see where it will take you. In Meg Garcia’s first book “Six Keys” that is exactly what she did. A fan of all things horror, Garcia has crafted a series of short stories that take ordinary circumstances to an original place, blowing your mind with every turn of the page. Readers will find themselves on the edges of their seats, wondering what unexpected terror awaits them.

“I’ve always been a fan of the horror genre and wanted to create a series of stories that would hold the reader’s attention,” said Meg Garcia. “I wanted create an emotional roller coaster ride for readers, building suspense until they were scared to look over their shoulder, so engrossed in the stories that the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred.”

Garcia began writing over the past year as an emotional outlet to help in the healing process after losing her fourth children in a premature birth. She found that the act of writing down her nightmares helped to ease the pain in a way that other therapies couldn’t.

“The first story in “Six Keys” is actually a retelling of a recurring nightmare I had after my child passed,” said Garcia. “It was so haunting that I had to put it on paper to be able to examine and understand it more clearly. That led to other scenarios in which I asked the question “what if” and it led me to some pretty crazy situations.”

Each story in “Six Keys’ is its own entity and yet as readers progress through the book they will begin to find threads that lead them to find a common connection in the end. Garcia is already working on taking a few of the characters that are introduced in her first book and expanding on them in their own future stories.

“I fell in love with some of the characters and I can’t wait to see where their stories take me,” said Garcia.

Garcia hopes that readers will be inspired to open the door to their own imagination as they read her stories. Writing has helped her find her voice again and wants others who are experiencing pain and loss to know that there is hope, there is a light at the end of the suffering.

Meg Garcia is already planning several book signing events in her local book stores and plans to donate a portion of the profits to her local library. As a mother of three and caregiver for four additional children, Meg spends hours writing and reading to her children, helping them uncover their own stories through pictures and words. Visit her Facebook page for information on her next event. http://www.facebook.com/AuthorMegGarcia/

“Six Keys” is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in hard cover for $19.95, paperback for $14.95 and as an e-book for $8.99.
