BatchOutput Server completely automates InDesign output workflow by processing files from hotfolders. The new update allows users to reset location of output folder with a click of a button helping save time and avoid redundant steps.

Toronto (ON), Canada, December 14, 2010 — Zevrix Solutions today released BatchOutput Server 4.6.3, a feature update to its powerful output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. Originally developed for a major magazine publisher in the United States to free up their operator computers from outputting InDesign files, the software automates InDesign workflow by processing files from hotfolders. The software offloads printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript to a central system leaving operator workstations free from the output process.

The new update was released as a result of user feedback following Zevrix policy to implement customer requests as quickly as possible. It includes only one but important new feature which allows users to reset location of output folder to its default value with just a click of a button, helping save time and avoid redundant steps.

“BatchOutput Server is an extremely useful utility for a busy production facility or advertising agency”, writes David Creamer in Layers magazine, “It can save lots of time – which equates to money.”

BatchOutput Server runs on a standalone Macintosh system that has InDesign installed. Under BatchOutput Server workflow, production artists and prepress operators simply submit InDesign files to hotfolders that reside on the network. BatchOutput Server automatically outputs the files from its dedicated station using hotfolder settings, and will auto-activate document fonts as well. Operator workstations will never again be tied up by the output process. The workflow also ensures that correct output settings will be always used.

BatchOutput Server offers the following major features and benefits:
-Process InDesign files automatically from hotfolders
-Export files as single pages
-Update modified links automatically
-Assign complex variable output file names
-Auto-activate document fonts
-Automatic e-mail notifications of process stages and errors
-Detailed processing logs and visual file tracking
-Easy to install and set up

BatchOutput is also available in a single user version to automate printing and exporting from InDesign on individual stations.

Pricing and Availability:
BatchOutput Server can be purchased from Zevrix web site for US$699.95, as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for licensed users. BatchOutput Server is a Universal Binary, runs on Mac OS X 10.4.2-10.6 and works with Adobe InDesign CS2-CS5.
