Global Software Company First Tenant to Break Ground at T5 Data Centers’ T5@Colorado Campus

After Extensive Search, Technology Company Selects T5@Colorado for Its Resilient Infrastructure and Park Restrictions for Data Center Use Only.

Colorado Springs, CO, USA — T5 Data Centers™ (http://www.t5datacenters.com), innovators in providing state-of-the-art, customizable and highly reliable computing support environments, has announced that a global enterprise software company has purchased 8.5 acres of the T5@Colorado campus for construction of the first of two Colorado Springs-based data centers. The company broke ground earlier this month for construction of the first of its synchronous pair of data centers. The enterprise software company chose T5@Colorado after an extensive search for a suitable location in the Central US region. The Purchaser noted that T5@Colorado data center campus is ideal because of its location, utility resiliency, and the security offered by a dedicated data center campus with restrictions on use that ensure similar uses nearby.

“Having one of the top 10 technology companies sign as the first occupant of the T5@Colorado campus is a coup for T5@Colorado and offers validation for the data center park location and infrastructure,” said Vince Colarelli, T5’s Colorado representative. “Now that they have broken ground, we can continue to develop the infrastructure that will be the foundation of future data center success for the T5@Colorado location.”

T5@Colorado is a pre-planned, pad-ready data center campus with restrictions that specify land use for data centers only. The 64-acre campus has dual, independent power feeds, expandable to deliver 100 MW of critical electrical capacity. Plans also call for the campus to accommodate up to 15 telecom providers with dual independent routing and low latency. The geographic location was chosen because it offers low risk for both natural and manmade business disruption, and because of regional zoning and economic incentives that promote construction of Tier II, Tier III, or Tier IV single and multi-tenant data centers.

T5 Data Centers(TM) Adds a Level 3 Fiber “Point-of-Presence” in the T5@Atlanta Data Center

T5@Atlanta, the Southeast’s premiere multi-tenant data center, now provides its customers direct access to the Level 3 network by way of an on-site Point-of-Presence.

Atlanta, GA, USA (March 25, 2015) — T5 Data Centers™, a provider of Multi-Tenant Data Centers with a portfolio of facilities across North America, today announced global telecommunications company Level 3 Communications, will provide a fiber point-of-presence (PoP) at the company’s “T5@Atlanta” data center. Current and future tenants will have the option to lease direct network access from Level 3 for greater reliability and flexibility.

T5@Atlanta is a purpose-built, Tier III, server-ready data center that features multiple independent data suites occupied by various tenants. Enterprises can take advantage of stronger service level agreements (SLAs), more available bandwidth and better service and support through the new access to Level 3’s highly secure fiber backbone.

“By establishing a PoP at T5@Atlanta we can offer enterprise customers around the country faster, more reliable access to their critical data,” said Brian Dolan, vice president and general manager of Georgia for Level 3. “We recently expanded our network presence in the technology corridor Alpharetta to provide the local to global connection for the more than 600 companies working out of the area.”

One of seven sites across the United States, T5@Atlanta has more than 100,000 square feet under one roof, including 55,000 feet of raised floor, with individual data halls, each separated by slab-to-deck, fire-rated walls for autonomous operation. The data center also has an installed critical IT power load of 6,000 kW, expandable to 9,000 kW and is fed by five separate substations; two of them on Georgia Power’s “Hi-Reli” system for mission-critical users. It’s ideally suited for companies that require secure, dedicated control of their mission critical data operations, such as financial service firms, insurance companies, and health care providers.

“Although we remain a carrier-neutral colocation provider, we want to be able to offer our tenants a choice in telecommunications providers, including direct network access over high-speed fiber,” said Jason Chartrand, Executive Vice President of National Business Development for T5 Data Centers. “This new agreement with Level 3 puts us in a stronger position to serve regional customers with highly reliable colocation services.”

Currently Level 3 is the only network services provider to have a PoP facility on-site.

T5 Data Centers™ Launches T5@NY Data Center Facility in Westchester County to Serve Metro New York Market

Powered Shell Data Center Located 30 Miles North of Manhattan Ideal for Disaster Recovery and Mirrored Data Processing for Financial and Trading Firms.

Briarcliff Manor, NY, USA (January 8, 2014) — T5 Data Centers™, innovators in providing state-of-the-art, customizable and highly reliable computing support environments for any enterprise, today announced the launch of T5@NY in Westchester County, the company’s seventh U.S. data center location and the first T5 facility in the Northeast.

Developed in conjunction with Lincoln Rackhouse, the data center division for Lincoln Property Company, the new powered-shell, purpose-built data center is a completely renovated facility located 30 miles north of Manhattan. The 38,000-square-foot building is located on 9.4 acres and the site was chosen because of its proximity to New York City, making it ideal for disaster recovery or use as a “mirror” data center location for enterprise, financial services, trading, and technology firms. It has an existing 2 MW capacity expandable to 4.25 MW, with fiber telecommunication connections available from multiple providers.

“When we decided to open our T5@NY facility, we applied what we learned from Hurricane Sandy,” said Aaron Wangenheim, Chief Marketing Officer for T5 Data Centers. “We chose Briarcliff Manor because we believe it to be one of the safest data center locations in the New York metro, as evidenced by the fact that the area was largely unaffected by Sandy and never lost power. It’s also in the heart of a booming technology region. T5@NY is a great addition to our portfolio, expanding our presence into the Northeast and giving us access to new clients seeking data center resiliency and customization.”

T5@NY is located in the heart of the New York BioHud Valley, home of the largest biotechnology workforce in New York State. T5@NY can serve as an excellent laboratory or incubator space for regional medical and research institutions, such as Cornell, New York Medical College, Phelps Memorial Hospital, and Westchester Medical Center. Westchester County is also home to the headquarters of New York Life, Chrysler Financial, Liberty Mutual, PepsiCo, IBM, and other global companies.

T5 Data Centers is marketing to new tenants for T5@NY now. The facility is expected to be completely operational by the second quarter of this year.

T5 Data Centers Projects T5@Dallas Customers Can Save Millions from New Texas Tax Incentive Bill

Realize Substantial Savings from New HB 1223 Tax Legislation T5 Data Centers One of the Few Data Center Operators Prepared Today to Help Companies.

Dallas, TX, USA (June 25, 2013) — T5 Data Centers, innovators in providing state-of-the-art, customizable and highly reliable computing support environments for any enterprise, is advising clients to take full advantage of the new tax incentives offered in HB 1223, the new Texas sales tax exemption for data centers that goes into effect September 1. T5 sources estimate that companies leasing space in the new purpose-built T5@Dallas facility can realize savings from $30 million to $100 million depending on the number of critical megawatts (MW) needed and the length of the lease.

HB 1223 is a stimulus bill that exempts qualified companies from state sales taxes for the development, occupancy and operation of certain data centers. Based on internal estimates, T5 customers operating a data center at 6 critical MWs could potentially realize savings of $30 million over 10 years in tax on servers, software and energy. A company with 12 critical MWs could save as much as $101 million over 15 years in taxes on servers, software, and energy costs. Exemptions include the cost of gas and electricity costs, electrical systems, cooling systems, backup systems, servers, data storage, networking equipment, rack space, fixtures, and more. T5 Data Centers’ T5@Dallas campus has space available for lease in its 22.5 MW facility, and plans to expand with an additional 12.0 MW facility to be built in the near future. T5 customers investing a minimum of $200 million will qualify for a 10-year tax exemption; customers investing $250 million will qualify for a 15-year tax exemption.

“Today’s data center users are not only searching for robust and secure environments, but first class locations as well. These new tax incentives make Plano’s Legacy Business Park an even better location for an organization looking to install a mission-critical data facility. T5@Dallas, more than ever, is the best data center in the best location for business in Texas,” said Martin Peck, General Manager of T5@Dallas.

The new tax legislation includes a requirement for qualifying data center customers to create at least 20 new full-time jobs. Certified data centers must be specifically built to house servers, data processing, and data storage equipment. In addition, the data center tenant must occupy at least 100,000 square feet and the center must be used primarily for telecommunications services.

“With passage of this new legislation, Texas becomes the 25th state to offer tax incentives for new data center installations,” said Peter S. Marin, President and CEO of T5 Data Centers. “This is a proven means to stimulate technology growth, and as T5 continues to add new data centers around the country, we look at the local economic climate, including taxes, as well as geographic conditions, the cost of energy, and other criteria to make sure our customers have the most cost-effective, sustainable data center facilities available.”

T5 Data Centers New State-of-the-Art T5@LA Facility in El Segundo Is Now Server-Ready

New Purpose-Built Data Center Now Available for Lease for Business-Critical Enterprise Customers, First Lease Signed with L.A. Infrastructure Provider.

Los Angeles, CA, USA (November 29, 2012) — T5 Data Centers, innovators in providing state-of-the-art, customizable, and highly reliable computing support for any enterprise, today announced the completion and commissioning of its new T5@LA data center at 444 North Nash Street, El Segundo, California. The T5 team has successfully commissioned the first 3.7-megawatts (3.7 MWs) of what will ultimately be 16.65 MWs of critical power, so the new data center is ready for mission-critical operations for lease to enterprise customers.

In addition, T5 announced the signing of the first lease at T5@LA. The Los Angeles based critical infrastructure agency is the first enterprise customer and will occupy a custom-built data hall. They selected T5@LA because of the facility’s seismic rating, dedicated power supply, and redundant systems that ensure uninterrupted service. They also selected T5 Data Centers because of the company’s reputation for reliability and data security. Occupancy will be in 2013.

The new T5@LA data center is a purpose-built, 205,000-square-foot building on a 6.1 acre site. Designed as a high-quality, fully equipped wholesale data center, the facility is customizable to customer needs and features 120,000 square feet of raised floor. The building is built from structurally enhanced steel and has been designed to withstand earthquakes with a seismic importance factor of 1.5. T5@LA also has a dedicated, on-site power substation to ensure high reliability of electricity at a reduced “wholesale” cost.

“Los Angeles has been an underserved market for server-ready data center services” said Pete Marin, President of T5. “T5@LA is the first purpose built wholesale data center in the Los Angeles basin. We’re seeing great demand for our high quality and super-efficient design.”

The new T5@LA data center was designed for large enterprise customers seeking a customizable, “always-on” computing environment. The facility takes advantage of cool coastal air to help chill the data halls via an indirect evaporative process that uses approximately half the energy of traditional data center designs. T5 maintains round-the-clock engineering and support staff, as well as redundant systems to deliver the best service possible as well as peace of mind. The company already supports a number of Fortune 200 companies at its other data center facilities.

“We are very excited to welcome our first tenant to T5@LA,” said Aaron Wangenheim Executive Vice President of T5, responsible for marketing and leasing. “T5@LA was chosen by this discerning customer because of our ability to deliver the right solution and the right efficiencies. Their critical applications required the most resilient data center possible, and we’re excited to welcome them to T5@LA.”
