Children’s Picture Book “Faceless Beauty” Shares a Message of Worth and Value

This book is for all children who want to know just how special they are and what a difference they will make to the world someday.

Deer Park, NY (USA), December 22, 2017 — If you have ever questioned your worth or wondered what made you unique, Alexandra Coutrier’s new children’s book has the message you need to hear. We all need to know that we are special and have value but often, especially when we are young, we don’t have anyone to tell us. This book is for all children who want to know just how special they are and what a difference they will make to the world someday.

“I see children everyday who just don’t know how special they are and that is what prompted me to write this book,” said first time author Alexandra Coutrier. “Children need to be told that they are beautiful, inside and out, and this is a story to help parents and caregivers remind their children of that positive message of love and encouragement.”

The main character in Faceless Beauty is a little girl who lives in the woods, insecure and unsure of her worth until one day a light shines down on her with a positive message. She is told that she is a child of God. She was made to be a light, with great purpose and value and should share her beauty with the world.

“In Matthew 5:15, we learn that the light must not be hidden but should shine for the world to benefit from,” said Coutrier. “My hope is that this book will help children understand that they are unique and should explore their inner strength to find that light and let it shine for the world to see.”

The book has been written to allow parents to insert their own child’s name so that the message can be personalized. It is a unique opportunity to reinforce this positive message of love and encouragement with each child so that they might believe in their own value.

“My hope is that children will come to understand that they are beautiful as they are today,” said Coutrier. “Be grateful for what you have today, be grateful for who you are and where you are today.”

“We’ve all felt that insecurity in our lives when we weren’t sure of our purpose or direction and Alexandra’s book is a wonderful way to help children, from an early age, believe in themselves and in their own value,” said Lisa Umina, founder and publisher, Halo Publishing International.

Faceless Beauty is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in hard cover for $19.95, paperback for $12.95 and $9.95 for the e-book.

“Finding the Beautiful You” Guides Readers to Discover Their True Self

We all struggle with our self-confidence at some point and often question our self-worth. In Lisa Cassman’s latest book, “Finding the Beautiful You” she helps readers discover who they are.

San Antonio, TX (USA), November 9th, 2017 — Are you plagued by an inner voice reminding you of your faults and shortcomings? We all struggle with our self-confidence at some point and often question our self-worth. In Lisa Cassman’s latest book, “Finding the Beautiful You” she helps readers discover who they are. With a pen in one hand and the Bible in the other, Cassman guides readers through the process of examining their self-worth to truly find their beautiful self.

“As a licensed minister and motivational speaker, women frequently approach me asking for a book that outlines the content of my workshops on self-confidence,” said Lisa Cassman, author. “I realized that women were hungry for a guide that would help them address past hurts and disappointments so they could focus on the joy the future holds as their true beautiful self.” Thus, the birth of “Finding the Beautiful You.”

In Cassman’s book, she offers a variety of interactive exercises that force readers to truly absorb the information and personalize the content to help with their own self-discovery. Used as a workbook, readers are encouraged to write their thoughts to emotional prompts like “I wish I could change…”

Additionally, throughout the book, readers are directed to read specific scripture passages and write down their feelings. Cassman has selected a variety of Biblical text to support her belief that God loves us and has a special and unique purpose for each of us. “Finding the Beautiful You” was written to help readers discover the positive message that can be found in scripture and our own self-examination.

“It is one thing to read a book, but another to truly be immersed in the content,” said Cassman. “By encouraging readers to examine the hurts and disappointments in their past; take them out, look at them, forgive themselves and then finally put them behind them, I hope readers will finally see their wonderful value.”

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+139:14&version=NIV)

“The minute we give God our cares and concerns to carry, He lightens our load,” said Cassman. “However, we also need to forgive ourselves and let go. Through “Finding the Beautiful You” I hope that readers will finally be able to put aside their fears and concerns and focus on the positive message God has for our life.”

“This is a beautiful book,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing International. “The format is very user-friendly. I found that I had a pencil close at hand to jot down my thoughts and my Bible next to me so that I could immediately read the scripture Lisa mentions. She doesn’t give the answers but encourages the readers to take part in the process and find peace and understanding within the word of God.”

Finding the Beautiful You is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in paperback for $12.95 and $6.99 for the e-book. Visit http://www.lisacassman.com to learn more about her workshop “New You – New Life:  7 Steps to Boosting Self Confidence” and her other services.

Siblings of Special Needs Children are “Special” Too

New book offers positive message about self worth of all family members.

Houston, TX (USA), October 31, 2012 — New book offers positive message about self worth of all family members.

Hey, I’m Alex is a new book positively impacting the lives of families with special needs children. Author Leeann Pellegrin chronicles the experience of living with a special needs child through the eyes of a sibling.

The story is based on the author’s personal experience and originally started out as a tale for her youngest of five sons, Alexander, now 10.

“Out of a family of seven, Alex probably sacrifices the most for his older brother, Kyle,” Pellegrin said. Kyle, age 13, has Klinefelter’s syndrome and an extra X chromosome that results in delayed development.

“I was saying to Alex,” explained the author, “Hey buddy, I know what you go through, but remember, God gave us Kyle because he trusted us to take care of him and teach him.”

“And I also wanted him to know that there is something special in everyone and that all children in each family are loved.” “It’s so important for each child in a family to be aware of their own self worth, particularly in one with a special needs child who gets most of the focus,” Pellegrin said.

Hey, I’m Alex is published through Halo Publishing International. Publisher Lisa Umina said this book is unique in its perspective from a sibling of a special needs child. “It has a valuable message that I support and I know it will help families gain insight,” Umina said.

Pellegrin said she hopes Hey, I’m Alex will help to make parents aware of how a special needs child can affect his or her siblings and have a positive impact on the life of families.

The author is a tireless advocate for the disabled and volunteers for the Disability Action Center and the Special Olympics in the Fairmont, West Virginia community where she resides. Her sons range in age from 28 to 10. Pellegrin grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, and returned to her parents’ hometown about 24 years ago. She is employed full time as a medical language specialist.

Congratulations to Local Author, Molly Nero, Winner of the 2012 Mom’s Choice Award!

Local Bethel Park author and experienced educator Molly Nero has been awarded the 2012 Mom’s Choice Award for her recently published debut book Smarty Pig. This story was created to get children excited about learning.

Houston, TX (USA), Thursday – April 05, 2012 — Local Bethel Park author and experienced educator Molly Nero has been awarded the 2012 Mom’s Choice Award for her recently published debut book Smarty Pig. This story was created to get children excited about learning.

“Learning is not just for school, it’s for life,” says Nero, author of Smarty Pig, soon to be released through Halo Publishing International. She hopes teachers will utilize Smarty Pig in their classrooms to inspire their students. “It is important to help children understand that learning to count and read is not just something we make them do at school, but lessons they will be applying throughout their lives.” She said reading to her own children inspired her to write stories that will build self-esteem and help young students deal with issues at school.

Smarty Pig is a story about a family of pigs who give up on school. One of the pigs, though, loves to learn. She creates games to help others practice skills eventually getting the family members to realize that learning can be fun and how important school really is to their future. Reaching out to young students, the pro-learning book is geared toward children in grades K-3.

“This book series will be valuable to teachers working to inspire learning in children,” said Halo International Publisher Lisa Umina ( http://www.halopublishing.com ). “Molly knows from her own experience as a teacher how important it is to get children excited about school.”

First-grade teacher Barbara Walsh said Smarty Pig appeals to readers of all ages. “Parents and teachers love the positive message about learning,” Walsh said. “And kids love it because it’s fun.”

Nero said she wants children to understand that school is a good place, and it isn’t just about tests. Creative and experiential learning are essential to development, said the author. In her second book in the Smarty Pig series, Nero helps students who struggle with test taking anxiety in Smarty Pig and the Test Taking Terror. Here she gives kids, parents and even teachers strategies to help overcome test “shut-down.” “These are techniques that I have used and found to be effective to calm kids down when they are overwhelmed dealing with a testing situation.”

A native of Arlington, Texas and the youngest in a family of seven children, Nero taught academics and music at the elementary school level after achieving her degree at the University of Texas. Nero recently relocated to Pennsylvania with her husband and two children, ages 9 and 15.

Smarty Pig was released in Jan. 2012 and Smarty Pig and the Test Taking Terror was just released in March. To order the books, visit http://halopublishing.com., amazon.com, or barnesandnoble.com.
