SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller by Mods4cars for VW Golf VI Cabriolet

Effective immediately the after market convertible top controller offered by Mods4cars is available for the recently introduced Volkswagen Golf VI Cabriolet. It allows opening and closing of the convertible top with one-touch convenience – also while driving at slow speeds. Additionally the top can be operated remotely via the original factory key fob.

Las Vegas, NV, Wednesday – September 28, 2011 — The SmartTOP convertible top kit offered by after market automotive specialist Mods4cars for the new Volkswagen Golf VI Cabriolet is available for purchase effective immediately. Now owners of this modern day Volkswagen get to enjoy the benefits of added comfort and convenience features. The kit enables use of the top at speed of up to 60 km/h (~35mph) and adds one-touch operation, so there is no more need to hold down the switch. The positive effect: The top is used more often, the driver gets to enjoy more top-down time.

“We are excited to have our module ready and selling so quickly after Volkswagen just introduced the new Golf VI Cabriolet to the market.” says PR manager Sven Tornow. He also points out the great convenience of being able to open and close the top from the original factory key fob without the need to reprogram the existing key fobs.

The SmartTOP convertible top add-on module for the Golf VI Cabriolet offers additional individually programmable features such as inverting the top switch direction. Now it is possible for each driver to choose which direction is more intuitive for them. Push to open and pull to close and vice versa.

Additionally the windows can be operated by remote, separately from the top. A chirp feature can be activated to give a quick “chirp” of the horn when locking or unlocking the car and each owner can decide if an ongoing operation should continue if the ignition is turned off or the engine is started while the top is in motion. If needed, the entire module can be temporarily switched off while retaining all individual user preferences and thanks to the plug-and-play wiring it is possible to revert back to factory condition within minutes without leaving traces.

The custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter allows for straight forward installation of the SmartTOP module by simply plugging it in between two connectors. A standard USB connector on the module gives end users the ability to configure the product with a couple of mouse clicks as well as installing firmware updates (available free of charge for the life of the product).

SmartTOP convertible top kits are available for: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and Volkswagen.

The kit for Volkswagen Golf VI Cabriolet is available now for 249.00 Euros + tax.

About Mods4cars:
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first SmartTOP roof controller was born.

The success of their first products in Germany and Europe prompted them in late 2004 to move operations to the USA, to be able to serve the American market as well as all other English speaking countries such as Australia, UK and South Africa from one central location. Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in Las Vegas and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

Being highly specialized in the development and distribution of aftermarket roof- and comfort controllers since 2002 allows them to offer an unsurpassed level of competence and product quality. Their main goal is optimization of each individual product to a maximum in compatibility, usability and intuitive operation. They put greatest effort into development and quality checks of all their products to achieve this goal and meet all expectations of their customers.

The extraordinary success of their products is also based on the great communication with their customers, which usually already starts for each new product during the development and prototyping phase.

Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in California and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

RemoteKEY Comfort Controller for the Audi A2

Mods4cars is releasing the after-market RemoteKEY comfort controller for the Audi A2 in February 2011. Using the original remote control, one can open and close the windows or close the sunroof with the touch of a button.

Ocean, NJ, January 25, 2011 — The RemoteKEY comfort controller by Mods4cars gives Audi A2 owners extra convenience and functionality. It is possible to open and close the windows using the original remote fob without having to reprogram key or car.

With the RemoteKEY module, the sunroof can be closed from a distance and the gas cap can be unlocked comfortably from outside the car by remote control. The awkward process of unlocking the gas cap from inside the car is replaced by the convenience of pushing a button on the remote fob.

“The installation process for the RemoteKEY comfort controller for the Audi A2 is very simple: an additional control module is installed under the driver’s seat using a plug and play adapter that comes with the unit,” explains PR spokesman, Sven Tornow. “Absolutely anyone can install it without problems in just a few minutes,” states Tornow.

Additionally, the latest comfort controller can be completely deactivated as needed and can be personalized with additional functions: the switch for the driver’s window can be used to open or close all the windows, and the controller can be adjusted to lock the car automatically while driving.

The RemoteKEY comfort controller features a standard USB connector that allows you to configure the device on your PC and install free software updates.

Mods4cars also provides upgradeable controllers for the following cars: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and Volkswagen.

The comfort controller for the Audi A2 costs 169,00 Euro + tax.
