Mods4cars RemoteKEY Comfort Control for Porsche Now in a New Housing

The RemoteKEY comfort control for the Porsche models 997 Carrera Coupe, 987 Cayman and 987 Boxster now has a new housing. Mods4cars retrofit module, with smart features, provides higher user comfort. Among other things, windows can be operated via the original remote control.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), January 15, 2018 — Mods4cars has reworked the design of its RemoteKEY comfort modules. As of now, the RemoteKEY control system for the Porsche 997 Carrera Coupe, the 987 Cayman and the 987 Boxster will be dispatched in the new casing. The RemoteKEY is a retrofitted controller, which delivers the Porsche owner with more comfort and numerous additional functions.

The RemoteKEY comfort control makes it possible to open and close the windows via the existing original remote control. The Chirp Function, if required, allows a short horn signal to be heard when the central locking system is actuated. Thanks to the RemoteKEY module, the central locking system locks or unlocks during or after the journey. When the reverse gear is engaged, the passenger’s mirror can fold down automatically and serve as a parking aid.

With RemoteKEY unit installed, the convertible top of the Porsche 987 Boxster can be operated via One-Touch – even in a standing position. In the Porsche 997 Coupe, the window comfort mode allows the passenger window to be closed via One-Touch.

The comfort control can be completely deactivated as required. All functions can be programmed according to personal wishes. The USB port added on the RemoteKEY is used for this purpose. Making it possible to configure the controller on the PC and to implement software updates, which are provided free of charge by Mods4cars.

SmartTOP Soft Top Control for Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet from Mods4cars

The new SmartTOP soft top control for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet (A205) is now available. Las Vegas, NV (USA), November 9th, 2017 — The retrofit SmartTOP module is now available for the new C-Class Cabriolet (A205) from Mercedes-Benz. With smart functions, it facilitates the everyday life of the convertible user. This ensures, among other things, that the top is opened or closed automatically after just a tip on the top button. It is thereby no longer necessary to keep the button pressed down during the entire top movement.

Furthermore, with the SmartTOP module, the convertible top of the C-Class convertible can be operated from a distance via the existing vehicle key. The latest soft top control from Mods4cars also offers, besides these main functions, various additional functions: The windows can be controlled via the remote control. It is adjustable whether the front or all windows should be closed automatically after the top opening. All windows can be closed by One-Touch via the centre console button.

On vehicles with a keyless entry package, the convertible top can be operated by touching the door latch. The function “Tear-Wipe” was developed on customer request and ensures that the windscreen is wiped once or twice more after a short pause once the use of the spray nozzles has been activated. All functions of the SmartTOP roof module can be programmed according to personal wishes.

The SmartTOP module is equipped with an USB port to connect the cabriolet module to the home PC / MAC. In this way the module can be configured and software updates, which are made available by Mods4cars free of charge, can be implemented.

SmartTOP Additional Soft Top Control Now Available for the New Mercedes-Benz S-Class

SmartTOP Additional Top Control for Mercedes-Benz SLC Roadster Now Available

The retrofit roof module makes for greater drive comfort with its smart function. With it, you are able to open the convertible top via the original remote control from a distance. SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller Made by Mods4cars Now Available for New Ferrari California Models

The add-on SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller kit made and offered by automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars is available effective immediately for the new Ferrari California models “30” and “T”. It allows owners to open and close the top from a distance using the original key fob remote. It also adds one-touch convenience to the center console switch.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), June 28th, 2016 — A few weeks ago Mods4cars launched the SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for the Ferrari California. Effective immediately all models are supported by the kit, including California 30 and California T. “We are happy to announce that we were able to supply our modules for the latest models quite quickly.” explains PR-Manager Sven Tornow.

The SmartTOP kits are aftermarket products that can be installed into the car by anyone. They offer smart functions and features that make using the convertible top easier and more fun. With the kit installed it is possible to raise and lower the top from a distance by using the original key fob remote. “One can press a simple key combination on the fob to open the top while still approaching the car.” Sven Tornow continues. The original remote fob does not need to be altered or replaced.

Additionally it is possible to control the top from the console switch with one-touch convenience. The switch does not need to be held down for the entire duration of the operation. A quick tap is enough to start a full automatic cycle. “This feature saves time” Sven Tornow points out “as the SmartTOP user can just tap the top switch, get out and lock the car, while the top continues to close.”

The position of the windows can be programmed as well. Some people like to drive with the top down and windows down; others prefer the windows to be up. It is worth mentioning that top and windows can be controlled independently from the remote. Another setting allows the rear windows to automatically rise for better wind deflection.

An extended mode can be enabled, which allows the engine to be started or stopped while an ongoing top operation continues. All functions and features can be programmed according to individual taste and preference. The module comes equipped with a USB port for simple firmware upgrades and programming via Windows PC or Mac. Support software and updates are available free of charge. Settings can also be programmed directly in the car using a sophisticated setup procedure.

The SmartTOP kit comes complete with a custom designed plug-in-between wiring adapter. Installation is easy and can be done by anyone. The SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for the Audi A5 Convertible allows simple one-touch operation of the top while driving as well as remote operation from the original remote fob. Now manufacturer Mods4cars has added two new features to the module: Opening and closing of the windows separately from the top via touch door handle and a setting that allows owners to invert the console top switch direction.

A convenient quick single touch is enough to set the top in motion. The top can also be controlled from the original factory key fob remote.

All SmartTOP modules come with a host of bonus features. The Audi A5 kit can be programmed to activate the hazard flashers during remote top operation and a short confirmation beep when locking or unlocking the car can be activated. The windows can be controlled separately from the top by remote. Also the keyless operation via the touch door handles was fully integrated for cars that come with that option. Tapping the door handle three times activates the top. A new update to the product firmware now allows the windows to be lowered or raised by holding the door handle for 2 seconds.
