Learn About Custom Wine Making And Polish Your Wine Tasting Skills By Joining Crushpad’S Blending Sessions

Feb. 23, 2011 – Crushpad’s popular wine blending sessions invite wine enthusiasts to set forth on a fascinating journey into the world of award winning, custom wine making.

Whether you are a collector of trophy bottles or a wine-curious novice, with Crushpad’s acclaimed wine blending classes you have the opportunity to sharpen your palate and gain an intimate appreciation for why blending is considered the highest art-form in winemaking.

Each 90-minute session is taught by Crushpad’s experienced team of winemakers, who guide attendees through the same steps that professionals use to determine what final blend goes into bottle. Your hands-on experience begins by evaluating several base wines for aromatics, flavor and texture. Later on, you get the opportunity to use this knowledge to create a few of your own unique blends.

Crushpad’s blending sessions focus on Cabernet and the other Bordeaux varietals using some of the finest vineyard sources from Napa and beyond. Over the years, the educational activities held by the Crushpad team have received numerous accolades, including glowing coverage in Wine Spectator, Food & Wine, Forbes, Men’s Journal, Time and the Chicago Tribune.

About Crushpad

Crushpad is a custom winemaking service with locations in Napa Valley and Bordeaux, with a growing database of over 5,000 clients including wine enthusiasts, professional winemakers, fine–wine retailers and restaurants. Crushpad specializes in small–lot, luxury wine production from world–class vineyards in California and Bordeaux. The founders, managers and promoters of the project are wine industry veterans and technology industry refugees determined to liberate winemaking from its traditional stereotypes of impossible wealth, expansive chateaux, and golden retrievers.

Since 2004, the company’s main strive has been to inspire and empower clients to bring their own contribution to the art of quality custom winemaking by providing them with the education, support and material means needed to accomplish that. On a broader scale, Crushpad’s mission is to teach people with day jobs how to make wine for both personal and economic reasons and help them connect with folks with similar interests.

For many years, Crushpad has been giving the world numerous highly acclaimed wines created at Crushpad Bordeaux (Le Dôme, Les Astéries, Le Carré, Vieux Chateau Mazerat and Château Laforge), as well as the popular Napa wine variety and an extensive range of award-winning assortments sourced at California premium vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Sangiovese, and many more). In addition to that, the company holds wine blending sessions on a regular basis and has recently launched the third version of its groundbreaking wine making tool Crushnet, which enables clients to create their own boutique wines at Crushpad while providing them with a comprehensive list of useful features.
