SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Audi A3, A4 and TT Roadster Gets New and Improved Plug-And-Play Wiring Harness

The SmartTOP convertible top add-on module offered by Mods4Cars for Audi’s A3, A4 and TT convertibles now ships with a new version of the plug-in-between wiring harness. This allows for an even easier and quicker installation of the top convenience add-on kit.

Ocean, NJ, Friday – July 22, 2011 — The SmartTOP convertible top module offered by Mods4Cars for the Audi A3, A4 Convertible and the TT Roadster now comes with a new and improved version of the plug-in-between wiring harness. This version utilizes all genuine OEM parts for plugs and sockets, thereby allowing for an even easier, more convenient and foolproof installation. All plugs only fit one way and latch securely into place. Now anyone can install the kit quickly and easily to enjoy the benefits immediately.

The add-on kit allows opening and closing of the convertible top from afar via the factory key fob. Additionally the windows can be lowered or raised by remote, independently from the top. The original key fobs do not have to be reprogrammed or replaced. The kit also offers the ability to operate the top while driving at slow speeds, user programmable and up to 60kmh (~38mph) while adding one-touch convenience. It is no longer necessary to pull over and hold down the top switch. Drivers get more frequent top-down use of the car.

The module can also be programmed to not interrupt an ongoing top operation when either the ignition is turned on or off. Like on other modules offered by Mods4Cars, all features and settings are user programmable and the entire module can be deactivated when needed. A standard USB port in conjunction with a support program available online allow for easy configuration and firmware updates (free of charge).

SmartTOP Comfort Top Controller Now Available for VW EOS Facelift Model 2011+

The aftermarket SmartTOP roof control module offered by Mods4cars is now available for the newest facelift model of the Volkswagen EOS. It allows opening and closing the top at the touch of a button at slow speeds as well as from afar with the original remote fob and comes with new features added.

Ocean, NJ, May 18, 2011 — The SmartTOP add-on convenience kit offered by Mods4cars ( http://www.mods4cars.com ) is now compatible with all models of the Volkswagen EOS, from 2006 through now including the new facelift model. In addition to the functions and features of the previous version, two new features were added this time. This gives the user additional convenience to choose from.

The previous version of the SmartTOP controller for VW EOS already offers plenty of features: The convertible top can be opened or closed at the touch of a button and while driving at slow speeds (up to 28mph / 44kmh) or from afar with the original key fob. There is no need to reprogram the key or use additional key fobs.

New features include three different modes of remote operation, selectable by the user, allowing different key combinations to activate the top. Owners who purchased the “Keyless Access” feature with their cars can now also open and close the convertible top, windows and sunroof individually via touch sequences on the door handle, instead of having to dig for the key first.

“We are pleased to offer this new version of the SmartTOP module which adds compatibility to the latest EOS facelift model as well as new and exciting convenience features.”, says PR-manager Sven Tornow. “By means of the USB port present on previously purchased SmartTOP modules our current customers can now quickly and easily update their modules – free of charge.” All Mods4cars modules now offer this standard port, which allows not only updating the module via PC but also simple point and click configuration of all module features and options to taste.
