The China Products (Mumbai India) Exhibition is back in Mumbai for the 13th time, from Nov 24th – 26th 2015

Mumbai, India, November 12th, 2015 — India-China bilateral trade for 2014 stood at US$ 70.25 billion. India’s exports to China were US$ 11.98 billion whereas China’s exports were US$ 58.27 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of US$ 46.29 billion. It is hoped that with increased trade relations between these two Asian giants, India would be able to narrow the trade deficit with China in the coming years by exporting more value added items, food products and IT services.

Fifth Annual China Sourcing Fairs Opened Today to Facilitate Closer Sino-Indian Trade

Three events cover hot trade sectors: electronics & components, hardware & building materials and bathroom products.

Mumbai, India, September 21, 2012 — The fifth annual China Sourcing Fairs opened today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India and runs through September 22, 2012. The Fairs aim to further strengthen trade relationships between China and India.

The co-located events are Electronics & Components, Hardware & Building Materials and Bathroom Products. Combined, the Fairs feature over 400 booths from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea exhibitors. In India, the China Sourcing Fairs are managed by Pico Event Management under license from Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL).

“Trade between China and India is expected to reach US$100 billion by 2015. Highlighting the importance of this relationship, India and China have gone so far as to create a five-year economic cooperation plan,” said Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Exhibitions.

China suppliers see India’s huge population as an important new market.

India’s population of 1.21 billion makes it the second most populated country in the world, of which 400 million are middle-class consumers with strong purchasing power.

Wong said: “Eight to ninety million housing units are expected to be built in India in the next 10-15 years. This represents a massive opportunity for China hardware and construction manufacturers.”
