Once Again, The Audience Acclaims “Tango Lovers -Enamorados Del Tango” as The Best Tango Show

International Tango sensation performed in South Florida and New York

Miami, FL, August 25, 2012 – The sensuous pleasure of tango ignited the stage with Tango Lovers Enamorados del Tango. Last Friday, August 17, 1012 a selective audience that filled the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center of the Performing Arts gave a standing ovation to the group of international artists which presented an outstanding, impeccable and unforgettable show. The next day, on Saturday, August 18 the cast flew to New York to perform in Long Island at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater.

Following its acclaimed premieres in Montevideo, Uruguay and New York City, the dance sensation returned to the United States.

The group was able to amaze the audience to receive the most positive feedback from spectators that acclaimed once again Tango Lovers as the best TANGO show in the last few years.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts offered a Red Carpet event and at the end of the show the artists were able to thank the audience by sharing and shooting photographs with them.

The show’s dancers, musicians and singer conveyed an array of emotions through their art by taking the audience through the evolution of the passionate dance. They performed music by celebrated tango composers Gerardo Matos Rodriguez, Angel Villoldo and Astor Piazzola among others.

The performance featured Mora Godoy, the renowned tango dancer from Rio de la Plata who has performed in the the celebrated productions Chantecler Tango and Tanguera, as well as an ensemble comprised of multiple Grammy ® Award winning musicians and world tango champions. Among them, the show’s musical director and six time Grammy winner Federico Britos; Artistic Director Marcos Ayala, an extraordinary young talent who at only age 16 became a world tango champion in Japan; Uruguayan singer Alfredo Lerida with a magnificent and contemporary voice who is the show’s general director and producer and a group of extraordinary artists with vast international careers.

“Tango has been spread all over the world and has no borders, it enchants people from all nationalities,” says Lerida, who continuously works to create global awareness about the art and culture of Rio de la Plata while integrating local talent and diverse generations. “Tango’s cultural importance has been recognized and it is featured on UNESCO World’s Cultural Heritage list.”

Tango Lovers shares and promotes the culture of Rio de la Plata, the birthplace of tango.
