SmartTOP Additional Soft Top Control by Mods4cars Now Available for Mini Convertible F57

As of now, the SmartTOP soft top control is available for the new Mini Convertible F57. Mods4cars retrofitting comfort module, enables the convertible top and sunroof to be operated from a distance via the original vehicle key. In addition, the convertible top and sunroof can be operated via the console button in the interior via One-Touch.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), May 23rd, 2017 — The SmartTOP roof module for the new Mini Cabriolet F57 is now available. The latest development of the company, Mods4cars, provides smart functions for a more comfortable operation of the convertible top. With the SmartTOP module installed, among other functions, it is possible to open the sunroof and convertible top via the interior button with One-Touch. Thanks to the One-Touch function, a short tap on the top button in the interior is sufficient.

With one tap of the console button, the convertible top moves into the sunroof position. With two taps, the convertible top opens completely and the windows move to their pre-programmed position. The cumbersome pressing as well as the impractical operation of first having to open the sunroof, are thereby no longer necessary. You now have the option to decide whether the sunroof or the convertible top should be opened with just a press of a button.

In addition, the SmartTOP module allows the operation of the roof top from a distance via the original vehicle key. Pressing a combination of keys on the remote control automatically opens or closes the convertible top or sunroof. “The SmartTOP customer can open the soft top as they walk toward their vehicle and start their drive top down,” says PR spokesman Sven Tornow. “This operation is carried out via the original vehicle key, which does not require any modification,” Sven Tornow continues.

Aside from these main functions, the SmartTOP soft top module offers other additional functions. The windows can also be opened and closed from afar via the vehicles remote control. On vehicles with Keyless Entry, opening and closing the top is possible with a touch to the door handle.

The individual functions of the SmartTOP roof module can be programmed according to the customers personal wishes. Thanks to the sophisticated SmartTOP Cabriolet module, starting or stopping the engine does not interrupt the convertibles top movement. Furthermore, the module can be completely deactivated as required.

Thanks to the plug-in cable set included in delivery, installation can be done quickly and easily. Also, as no cables are cut, a traceless removal is possible at any time. A standard USB port is integrated into the SmartTOP soft top control. This allows the programming of the roof module via the home PC / Mac. Via the USB port, software updates can also be loaded, which are provided by Mods4cars free of charge.

The SmartTOP roof control system are also available for the Mini Convertibles R52 and R57. A Community Comes Together in the Delightful Children’s Story “Have You Seen Henry?”

Author Michael Worley has been creating stories and drawing cartoons since he was a little boy.

Dallas, TX (USA), May 13th, 2017 — Author Michael Worley has been creating stories and drawing cartoons since he was a little boy. His imagination has spawned several other children’s stories including “Sonny the Scarecrow”, “The Quiet Giant”, “A Dog’s Tale”, “Everett the Piano” and “Lacey Shoestring’s Amazing Red Wagon Adventure.” In “Have You Seen Henry?” Worley was inspired by an actual possum encounter in his backyard.

“There was something so intriguing and fun about the possum that wandered into my backyard that I couldn’t resist featuring him in a children’s story,” said Worley. “I love animals and how they interact and as I was writing the story of Henry I began to imagine a community of animals within a neighborhood who are willing to work together for a common good.”

Each of the characters in “Have You Seen Henry?” are beautifully brought to life by illustrator Jorge Chiquillo. Worley uses repetition and clever alliteration with each character’s name like Frieda Fox, Amy Armadillo, and Roger Rooster which help children remember a growing number of adorable animals who come to the aide of Henry’s wife, Henrietta. As the story progresses and tensions mount, Worley shows how friends can encourage and support each other even in difficult times.

“I hope children will learn a lesson in the value of friendship,” said Worley. “In my life I have seen first hand the benefits of willing to help others in their time of need. I believe it is an especially important lesson for children to learn from a young age. Rather than finding fault, we should look for ways to come together with kindness, generosity and friendship.”

Taking ‘What If’ to a Scary Place in the New Fiction Book “Six Keys”

A fan of all things horror, Meg Garcia has crafted a series of short stories that take ordinary circumstances to an original place, blowing your mind with every turn of the page.

Ft. Wayne, IN (USA), May 13th, 2017 — Let your imagination run wild and see where it will take you. In Meg Garcia’s first book “Six Keys” that is exactly what she did. A fan of all things horror, Garcia has crafted a series of short stories that take ordinary circumstances to an original place, blowing your mind with every turn of the page. Readers will find themselves on the edges of their seats, wondering what unexpected terror awaits them.

“I’ve always been a fan of the horror genre and wanted to create a series of stories that would hold the reader’s attention,” said Meg Garcia. “I wanted create an emotional roller coaster ride for readers, building suspense until they were scared to look over their shoulder, so engrossed in the stories that the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred.”

Garcia began writing over the past year as an emotional outlet to help in the healing process after losing her fourth children in a premature birth. She found that the act of writing down her nightmares helped to ease the pain in a way that other therapies couldn’t.

“The first story in “Six Keys” is actually a retelling of a recurring nightmare I had after my child passed,” said Garcia. “It was so haunting that I had to put it on paper to be able to examine and understand it more clearly. That led to other scenarios in which I asked the question “what if” and it led me to some pretty crazy situations.”

Each story in “Six Keys’ is its own entity and yet as readers progress through the book they will begin to find threads that lead them to find a common connection in the end. Garcia is already working on taking a few of the characters that are introduced in her first book and expanding on them in their own future stories.

“I fell in love with some of the characters and I can’t wait to see where their stories take me,” said Garcia.

Garcia hopes that readers will be inspired to open the door to their own imagination as they read her stories. Writing has helped her find her voice again and wants others who are experiencing pain and loss to know that there is hope, there is a light at the end of the suffering.

Meg Garcia is already planning several book signing events in her local book stores and plans to donate a portion of the profits to her local library. Las Vegas, NV (USA), May 5th, 2017 — The retrofit SmartTOP roof module for the Ferrari 458 Spider is now available. The latest development from the company Mods4cars facilitates the convertible day with nifty additional functions. “In addition to the Ferrari 360, F430 Spider and California, we now offer a comfortable solution for the Ferrari 458 Spider,” explains PR spokesman Sven Tornow.

The SmartTOP soft top control is retrofitted to the vehicle. After installation it is possible, among other things, to open and close the convertible top while driving at a speed of up to 40 km/h. For this, only the tapping of the interior button is required. The convertible top movement is performed automatically. This is a timesaver!

In addition, the roof can be opened and closed from afar via the car key. Pressing a key combination on the remote control activates the convertible top movement. “Our customers can already open their convertible tops as they move toward the vehicle and start their journey top down,” says PR spokesman Sven Tornow. A change to the car key is not necessary for this function.

Other than the two main functions, further features are offered: The windows position can be set for after the convertibles top movement. It is adjustable whether the windows should automatically be raised or lowered after opening the top. In addition, the windows can be opened and closed via the remote control.

Starting or stopping the engine does not interrupt the convertibles top movement. All functions can be configured according to personal wishes. Thanks to a USB port attached to the SmartTOP module, the module can be connected to the home PC. Programming can however also be done directly in the vehicle.

A plug-and-play installation kit is included in the package to ensure easy installation. Connection between the SmartTOP module and vehicle electronics is made by simply plugging together. As no cables are cut through, an untraceable removal is possible at any time.

Since 2002 Mods4cars has been manufacturing their smart cabriolet modules. Dastaan – A Musical Memoir by Santhosh Hegde

The Concert is a soulful tribute to his wife, Suman, that will see classics from the Bollywood Golden Era performed by Hegde and Other Artists at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.

Bangalore, India, 26th April, 2017 — Santhosh Kumar Hegde shares a 50-year old tryst with music. The self-taught musician found his teacher in All India Radio and Films. A movie buff from a young age, he eagerly awaited the release of the latest Bollywood movies, and sat back to listen to and learn the lyrics to songs while most of the audience used it as an interval. The first step of his musical career was in 1966, when he performed with a group of local musicians in a stage show, Young Talents’ Night at the Don Bosco Hall in Mangalore, following which, he has today completed over 10,000 performances, including 1,002 stage shows, across the country.

Dastaan is a soulful reminiscent by Santhosh Hegde to his wife, and pillar of support for almost four decades, Suman. In tribute to her birth anniversary, the musical concert would be held at the Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, in Malleswaram, Bangalore, and would involve engaging performances by Santhosh Hegde himself, along with other talented artists. Presented in remembrance to Suman Hegde and the love and inspiration she brought into the lives of her loved ones, the evening promises to be a magical trip down to the Golden Yesteryears of Bollywood Music.

Joining him in his performance would be his daughter, Mithila Hegde, a filmmaker by profession, who has been performing alongside him since the age of 9. He will also be accompanied by Ahmed Ali, a popular Hindustani/Sufi artiste from Kolkata who has learned his craft from renowned Hindustani vocalist, Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan. The evening would also feature Priya Yadav, who is an acclaimed, versatile vocalist based out of Bangalore. The band accompanying the artist would be a Kerala-based 15-member orchestra that has performed with the likes of Yesudas, S. Janaki, and Unnikrishnan, to name a few.

The concert will be hosted by the multi-faceted Vasanthi Hariprakash, who remains the much loved voice of the Breakfast Show on RadioCity 91.1FM.

The retrofit SmartTOP top control from the manufacturer Mods4cars for the Opel Astra TwinTop, have been given a new design. They are delivered in a casing that is exclusively made for Mods4cars. It is smaller and therefore easier to install in the vehicle. Two LEDs also provide help with installation.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), March 8th, 2017 — The SmartTOP roof control system from Mods4cars ensures simple and comfortable operation of the roof top. The SmartTOP module for the Opel Astra TwinTop enables the opening and closing of the convertibles top, up to a speed of 40 km/h. Thanks to the One-Touch function, the interior button only has to be tipped and the convertible top movement is performed automatically. It is thereby no longer necessary to hold down the button.

Furthermore, the convertible top can be operated remotely via the existing vehicle key. It is activated by simply pressing a key combination on the remote control. This allows the convertible top to be opened on the way to the vehicle. In reverse case, rapid closing is also possible in case it suddenly starts to rain. The existing vehicle key does not have to be changed to enable this function.

The SmartTOP module for the Opel Astra TwinTop also has the following additional functions: The windows can be opened and closed separately via the vehicles remote control. By central locking a short horn signal can sound as confirmation. It can also be adjusted so that the doors automatically lock during driving.

During the convertibles top movement, the hazard warning system can be activated. Starting and stopping the engine does not interrupt the convertibles top movement. The module can be completely deactivated as required. All functions are programmable according to personal wishes.

The SmartTOP modules are equipped with an USB port, which allows configuration on a home PC/Mac. In addition, the firmware can be updated. The convertible top control is delivered with a specially developed cable set. The SmartTOP modules can be removed at any time without any residue.

The company Mods4cars has reworked the design of the smart convertible module. “The new enclosures were made exclusively for Mods4cars and are tailored to our SmartTOP modules,” explains PR spokesman Sven Tornow. “They are about 30% smaller and are therefore easier to mount in the vehicle. In addition, two LEDs indicate the correct installation and possible errors during installation.” Sven Tornow continues.
