Las Vegas, NV (USA), July 30th, 2015 — Aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars, maker of the add-on SmartTOP modules for convertible tops now presents the new solution for the Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible (996). This new development allows owners to open and close the top while driving at slow speeds with one-touch convenience. It is no longer necessary to hold down the switch for the duration of the operation. A quick touch is enough to start a full automatic top cycle. This represents a true gain in convenience which means the car will be enjoyed with the top down more often.

Additionally the SmartTOP module enables remote control of the top from the original key fob remote. A key sequence on the fob starts a full automatic opening or closing of the top. The original remote does not need to be altered. “SmartTOP customers can activate the top while still approaching their car, get in, start the engine and drive away with the top already down.” explains PR-Manager Sven Tornow.

Starting or stopping the engine does not stop an ongoing top operation. The rear windows can be raised with the top in the down position. The entire module can be temporarily disabled while retaining all user configurable settings all of which can be set to individual needs. It is also selectable if the windows should roll up or stay down after opening the top.

Programming of the user settings can be done in the car with a signature set up procedure or with a Windows or Mac computer using the USB connector built into the module. The USB port allows quick and easy firmware updates as well as full product configuration in seconds using support software available free of charge online.

Installation of the kit is very straight forward as well. It comes with a plug-in-between wiring adapter which connects the module to the car electronics. It is custom designed using OEM connectors to ensure a perfect and secure fit. No wires need to be spliced or cut and everything can be reverted back later without leaving any trace or damage.

The SmartTOP kit for 911 Carrera Convertible is available for 299 Euros + tax. Kits are also available for all other Porsche Boxster models (all model years) and all 911 models (996 and newer). The administrator of the portal can also customize the portal page by posting weather, stock price information, and news. The administrator can also adjust the size of widgets and their locations.

Netkiller’s Enterprise Portal also leverages the users’ Google Apps data and displays on various Google Sites with custom developed sites widgets. It is built purely on Google Sites platform so the data is secured by Google with a 99.9% uptime guarantee. There is no need for any extra hardware or software, or even additional storage.

Since it is possible to set up a hierarchic security structure, the administrator can designate which employees will have editing privileges and which employees will have view only privileges. If an employee is enabled to edit the portal, then he or she can do so just as easily as using a word processor.
