Only employers with at least 10 employees could participate.

Jerry was hired on August 6, 1986, and worked as a shipper at the Future Electronics’ warehouse in Bolton Massachusetts, until transferring to the Memphis Area Distribution Center in July 2005. Over the years he has held various positions, including Shipping Inspector, Export Clerk/Group Leader, General Office Supervisor, and DC Export/Traffic Team Leader.

Barker met his wife, Diane, while working for Future Electronics in Massachusetts. The couple has two children, Andrew and Sara. Andrew is a graduate of Ole Miss, and Sara is currently a senior at Milsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Barker served for more than 20 years in the US Army and National Guard, having retired as a Staff Sergeant E6. He is a self-proclaimed history nut, particularly military history, and also enjoys geography and maps.
