Future Electronics and President Robert Miller Recognize Christine Alexander on 30 Year Anniversary

The company’s President, Robert Miller, recently congratulated Christine Alexander on the occasion of her 30-year anniversary of employment with the organization. Ms. Alexander, who works in the company’s Chicago branch, started as an Inside Sales Representative in 1987, became an Account Executive in 2001, and then returned to Inside Sales in 2003.

“I have always loved sales and interaction with people, and to be able to incorporate both in my time with Future has been truly rewarding, both from a professional and personal perspective,” said Ms. Alexander. “I take great pride being part of the Future team. Success depends on team effort, and over the years, Future and all the people with whom I interact on a daily basis feel like my second family. I have a great local support team here in Chicago; we have all been here for several years. It has been a great journey for me to be a part of the Future team and share in its success! I am looking forward to many more years of the same. In my free time I enjoy reading, traveling, sports, nature, theater and volunteer work with homeless shelters and other organizations. I also focus on my physical fitness.”

Future Electronics and President Robert Miller Thank Michael Lands for 35 Years of Service

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) December 28, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, and the company’s President, Robert Miller, recently recognized Michael Lands on the occasion of his 35th anniversary of employment with the company.

Mr. Lands joined Future Electronics in November of 1981 as an Inside Sales Manager for the Montreal branch. In 1983, he was promoted to General Manager of the Ottawa branch, where he worked for three years before moving back to the corporate office in Montreal as General Manager of the Distribution & Export groups until 1987. Next, Michael relocated to Toronto, where he served as General Manager for the next year, before moving to Long Island, New York as the General Manager of the Long Island branch and Regional Manager of the Fairfield, New Jersey branch. In 1998, he became General Manager of the Connecticut branch, and then returned to Long Island later the same year.

Since 2006, Mr. Lands has been a Strategic Accounts Manager for broker accounts in upstate New York, northern New Jersey, and Connecticut, working out of the company’s Long Island office.

Lands said, “My interaction with Robert Miller right from the start has been both a joy and the best education I could ever possibly hope for! It also provided me with the work ethic I still follow to this day, arriving at my office by 5:30 every morning.” He added, “I feel that I’ve made a very strong contribution to the corporation over the years, particularly in the Ottawa and Long Island branches.”

Future Electronics President Robert Miller Congratulate Rick Hawron on 40 Years with the Company

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) December 12, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, and its President, Robert Miller, recently observed the 40th anniversary of Rick Hawron’s employment with the company.

As a Corporate Vice-President, Mr. Hawron is responsible for Future Electronics’ global EMS customers. He first joined Future in 1976 as an Account Manager in Montreal, then relocated to Toronto in 1977, where he was a Sales Manager until moving to Vancouver and becoming a Regional Director in 1979. In 1985, he relocated to San Jose, California as Regional Vice-President, responsible for all operations in Western North America. He returned to Montreal in 1987 to assume the role of Vice-President WW Product Marketing until 1990, when he relocated to London, England as Managing Director of Europe. Next, he moved to Singapore in 1996, after being promoted to the position of Managing Director in Asia. In 2001, he again returned to Montreal, as Corporate Vice-President, responsible for a number of key business segments on a worldwide basis. In 2004, he returned to San Jose, California as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales responsible for Sipex until the successful merger with Exar Corporation, and then he returned to Montreal in 2007 to assume his current role as Corporate Vice-President at the Future Electronics’ headquarters in Montreal.

Mr. Hawron is a graduate of the DeVry Institute of Technology. His hobbies include collecting Asian art, and home renovation. He enjoys playing soccer, tennis, and table tennis. Mr. Hawron is married, and has 3 children as well as a grandchild.

Future Electronics and President Robert Miller Recognize Laikram Singh for 40 Years of Service

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) December 1, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, and the company’s President, Robert Miller, recently thanked Laikram Singh for 40 years of service with the company.

Mr. Singh started with Future Electronics in September of 1976, in the Purchasing department. Over the years, he has been promoted to various positions including Export Manager, Product Manager, Account Executive, Inside Sales Representative, and his current role as a Strategic Account Manager with the Toronto branch.

Singh said he feels fortunate to have joined the company in its early years, explaining, “Leadership matters. It is Mr. Robert Miller’s leadership, vision, and hard work that created the framework and culture for the company.”

He continued, “For the first month, I worked in the warehouse, familiarizing myself with the products we sell. I then became a Product Manager, responsible for ensuring that Future had enough of the right parts in stock at the right time. I was extremely fortunate to have had Mr. Miller as my mentor during those years.”

Future Electronics and President Robert Miller Recognize Malvena Hensley for 40 Years of Service

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) November 21, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, recently celebrated Malvena Hensley’s 40th anniversary of employment with the company.

The Founder and President of Future Electronics, Robert Miller, was pleased to recognize Malvena’s long and impressive tenure with the organization. Ms. Hensley began working for Future Electronics in September of 1976, starting out with an Administration/Data Entry position in the Montreal Distribution Center’s receiving department.

Throughout the years, Ms. Hensley has successfully handled a variety of roles and responsibilities, including receiving inspection, receiving administration, data entry, quality control, shipping, export orders, inventory control and numerous special projects.

Frank Ruffolo, a supervisor when Ms. Hensley worked in the Montreal Distribution Center, said, “Malvena was always very humble; she would never refuse to help out in any department, or when we needed to work weekends or late into the night on weekdays. Malvena was always there regardless of what needed to get done.”

Malvena explained, “From the very start, I felt like part of a happy family.” Since moving to her current role of Switchboard Operator in 2006, she said, “This position is a delight because I love people and this gives me a chance to interact with different kinds of people from all over the world.”

Ms. Hensley is an active member of the Westmount Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where she is the Head Usher for visitors, and leads the visitation program which caters to shut-ins and those who are sick. She added, “I am also involved with our youth program, I especially love the little ones. I assist the mothers in caring for the children during service time.” In her free time, she is a great cook, and enjoys bowling and walking.

On the occasion of her 40 year anniversary with the company, Malvena said, “Working for Future Electronics is a dream come true. Mr. Miller is such a good person, and his sons are following in his footsteps. Future is my family.”

Sigler said, “The people are a major part of the Future experience for me, as I have made many friendships along the way and it is never a burden to come to work.” Her children are now grown, and she enjoys walking her two terriers, who keep her “extremely occupied.” In addition, in her free time she loves to cook and experiment with making recipes healthier.
