Renewable Home Energy.org Educates and Connects

Renewable energy – if you haven’t noticed, it’s the buzz around the world. We are using an alarming amount of fossil fuels every day; fossil fuels that won’t last forever. Some experts say we will be known as the generation that destroys the earth unless we change our energy behavior now.

“Renewable Energy makes sense from both a financial and a green responsibility” says Todd Sachs, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of www.renewablehomeenergy.org.

“We are committed in educating consumers on how to turn their homes into Renewable Energy Homes. We help by connecting consumers with qualified installers throughout the United States so they can save money on their fast rising energy bills, create more value in their home investment, and join together in reducing dependency on fossil fuels; together reducing the carbon footprint.” Sachs says.

A recent press release from the whitehouse.gov states the following:
“President Obama is committed to an “all-of-the-above” approach that develops all American energy sources in a safe and responsible way and builds a clean and secure energy future. That’s why the President’s plan:

Challenges Americans to double renewable electricity generation again by 2020. In order to double generation from wind, solar, and geothermal sources by 2020, relative to 2012 levels, the President called on Congress to make the renewable energy Production Tax Credit permanent and refundable, which will provide incentive and certainty for investments in new clean energy. Instead of continuing century-old subsidies to oil companies, the President believes that we need to invest in the energy of the future. During the President’s first term, clean energy tax incentives attracted billions of dollars in private investment in almost 50,000 clean energy projects, creating tens of thousands of jobs. Permanent extension keeps the momentum building, while creating new jobs in clean energy.”

Once Americans realize just how possible it is to remove their home from the grid completely and/or partially, many will turn to clean energy sources such as wind, solar and geothermal for home energy systems. Renewable Home Energy (www.renewablehomeenergy.org) just launched last week and is serving-up a great way to connect homeowners with qualified renewable energy installers throughout the entire United States.

Renewable Home Energy is committed to working with local governments, manufactures and installers to help develop affordable ways for consumers to save money with Renewable Energy to remove them from the grid and reduce the carbon footprint by reducing the usage of the finite fossil fuels.

The process is easy. Just click on www.renewablehomeenergy.org and learn about Renewable Energy for your home. You can also complete a form to connect with a Renewable Energy Installer. You will be contacted by qualified installers in your immediate area. They will review your current energy consumption and suggest the best Renewable Energy alternatives for your home.

There are great tax incentives for you to install renewable energy in your home, and great finance options with 4% or less interest rates for up to 10 year terms for qualified buyers.

Tokyo’s Terra Motors decided the world’s first mass production of Electric 3-wheelers in Asia

Terra Motors decided the world’s first mass production of Electric 3-wheelers which can be charged by AC power. Terra Motors’ prototype is completed this April, and they plan to produce 10,000 sets of electric 3-wheelers in 2013.

In Asian countries, 3-wheeler market has expanded rapidly, because it is cheap and freight is large, compare to cars. For example, in India, the number of three-wheelers is increasing twice by these five-years. And the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh also shows the same transition.

It is thought that electric-ization of the three-wheel taxi in Asia progresses rapidly, because of aggravation of air pollution, the high price and constant shortage of gasoline. For example, in India, gasoline cost has increased also 2.5 times by these ten-years, so the demand to the cut in fuel consumption by electric-izing is serious. By replacing a three-wheel taxi to electric one, the annual income of taxi driver can be raised by about 3 times.

They plan to establish branch office in India in this summer, and aim at world top share acquisition in 2014.

Initial Test Site Chosen for Eccotopia Megafolia© Plantation

Eccotopia has agreed to the development, implementation, and management of Megafolia© tree plantations in South Africa, identifying land use, as well as the approximate number of local jobs to be created.

Cape Town, South Africa, March 01, 2013 — Julian Moses, president of Symphony Trade and Investment 57 (PTY) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eccotopia Ltd., http://www.eccotopia.com , announced today that Eccotopia has secured an initial test site in the Republic of South Africa. Phase 1 of the initiative will include implementation of a Site and Feasibility Study/Analysis that will identify land and plantation use, the approximate number of local jobs to be created, as well as the establishment of a greenhouse and propagation facility.

The project goal is job creation through the development, implementation and management of Eccotopia’s Megafolia© tree plantations for a variety of uses including Phytoremediation of ground water and topsoil, biofuel production, timber production, biomass-to-energy production and carbon sequestration. Also, the wide variety of timber products available from Eccotopia’s Megafolia© trees are remarkably able to ultimately provide numerous new job possibilities in the region.

The establishment of Eccotopia’s Megafolia© tree plantations can utilize waste mining water as the trees grow, creating a solution for mining waste water issues. Eccotopia’s Megafolia© trees are uniquely suited for the process of phytoremediation, as they are able to flourish utilizing polluted mining water which is an abundant by-product of the mining industry.

Eccotopia Issued ISIN and CUSIP

The ISIN number (International Securities Identification Number) applied for by Eccotopia has been issued. Eccotopia also was issued a CUSIP (Committee on Uniform Security Identification Procedures) number.

Cape Town, South Africa – January 14, 2013 — Julian Moses, President of Symphony Trade and Investment 57 (PTY) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eccotopia Ltd., http://www.eccotopia.com , announced today that the ISIN number (International Securities Identification Number) that was applied for by Eccotopia has been issued. Eccotopia also was issued a CUSIP number. The ISIN number is VGG292031090 and the CUSIP number is G29203109.

An International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) uniquely identifies a security. Its structure is defined in ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 6166. Securities for which ISIN’s are issued include bonds, commercial paper, equities and warrants. The ISIN code is a 12-character alpha-numerical code that does not contain information characterizing financial instruments but serves for uniform identification of a security at trading and settlement.

Securities to which ISIN’s can be issued include debt securities, shares, options, derivatives and futures. The ISIN identifies the security, not the exchange (if any) on which it trades; it is not a ticker symbol. For instance, Daimler AG stock trades through almost 30 trading platforms and exchanges worldwide ( http://www.eccotopia.com ), and is priced in five different currencies; it has the same ISIN on each, though not the same ticker symbol. ISIN cannot specify a particular trading location in this case, and another identifier, typically MIC (Market Identification Code) or the three-letter exchange code, will have to be specified in addition to the ISIN. The Currency of the trade will also be required to uniquely identify the instrument using this method.

A CUSIP is a 9-character alphanumeric code which identifies a North American financial security for the purposes of facilitating clearing and settlement of trades. The CUSIP distribution system is owned by the American Bankers Association, and is operated by Standard & Poor’s. The CUSIP Service Bureau acts as the National numbering agency (NNA) for North America, and the CUSIP serves as the National Securities Identification Number for products issued from both the United States and Canada.

iSocket in every home in Europe!

The iSocket® family of intelligent devices was launched by Intellectronics, Finland in 2011 and has gone from strength to strength. These are designed to control electrical equipment remotely and/or provide a remote security system for the premises. The essential benefits of these products are reflected in the slogan: “Control your home, Save energy, Save money”. Intellectronics believe that every householder wants, and in fact needs, this type of device in their home. Hence the company motto: “iSocket in every home”.

“In line with their objective “iSocket in every home” Intellectronics today have made their product available to everyone in Europe.”

Intellectronics believe householders want to control their homes remotely, primarily to save money but also due to the heightened awareness of the need to save energy. iSocket GSM Power Sockets achieve this in a new way. The GSM power socket is a generation of a new type of device for just this purpose. GSM power socket technology is not yet commonplace and Intellectronics offer this technology in the belief that it will make the GSM socket as popular as today’s GSM mobile telephones.

In line with this concept, Intellectronics has opened iSocket e-Store Europe to supply the countries where distribution has not yet been established. This is Intellectronic’s first e-Store. Their US and rest of the world launch – iSocket e-Store World – is scheduled for January 2013.

10 Ways to Have an Energy Fit Holiday

The holidays can be an expensive time of year with plenty of gift giving, house guests and festive décor, making an impact on the wallet. While FPL customers already have the lowest energy bills in the state, the company is helping its customers make their bills even lower with 10 Ways to Have an Energy Fit Holiday.

Juno Beach, FL (November 28, 2012) — The holidays can be an expensive time of year with plenty of gift giving, house guests and festive décor, making an impact on the wallet. While FPL customers already have the lowest energy bills in the state, the company is helping its customers make their bills even lower with 10 Ways to Have an Energy Fit Holiday.

“Getting ready for the holidays can require a lot of energy, but most people probably aren’t thinking about the energy costs when it comes to entertaining, gift buying and decorating,” said Tim Fitzpatrick, vice president of Marketing & Communication for FPL. “The holidays are all about traditions, so by adding these energy-efficient changes FPL customers can be energy fit for years to come.”

1. Deck the halls with LEDs. When it comes to holiday lighting, LED lights are the bright choice to get you more for your money. The amount of power it takes to operate just one 7-watt incandescent holiday bulb could power two 24-foot LED strings – enough to light a six foot tree. Additionally, LED light strings last about 10 times longer.

2. Set time on your side. Set timers for your holiday displays to turn off before bedtime so there is no need to burn the lights all night long.

3. Switch your non-holiday lights. Before overnight guests arrive, switch out guest room and common area lighting to compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs. Each CFL bulb you install will save you about $50 in energy costs over the life of the bulb.

4. Turn it off. Remind guests to turn off lights and fans when they leave the room. Stopping one ceiling fan from running all the time and turning at least one light off when you leave the room can save you more than $7 a month on your electric bill.

5. Stop peeking! Ovens lose a lot of heat when opened and require significant energy to heat back up to the appropriate temperature. Instead, when you have to sneak-a-peek, turn the oven light on and look through the interior window.

6. Choose glass or ceramic pans for the oven. These pans heat faster than metal ones and allow you to set the temperature 25 degrees lower than a recipe suggests for the same cooking time.

7. Don’t forget your crock-pot. Use smaller appliances such as crock-pots, microwaves and toaster ovens when possible. These can be much more energy-efficient for side dishes or small meals.

8. Select energy-efficient electronics. When it comes to buying gifts for your loved ones, opt for a laptop computer over a desktop computer. Laptop computers require 50 to 80 percent less power than a desktop computer.

9. Let the star be your guide. Look for the ENERGY STAR logo when purchasing larger electronics or appliances. Newer ENERGY STAR models meet stricter requirements and can save up to 40 percent on energy over standard models.

10. Give the gift of light. Use solar-powered pathway or security lights for your home or as a gift to the person who loves being outside in the evening.

FPL Gives Thanks to 50 Sanford Families with Free Home Energy Makeovers

“FPL customers have the lowest electric bills in the state, and these energy-efficiency tips will help them continue to save through the holidays,” said Larry Volenec, FPL’s external affairs manager.

Juno Beach, FL (November 21, 2012) — Sanford residents have something extra to be thankful for, just in time for Thanksgiving. In partnership with the City of Sanford, Florida Power & Light Company provided 50 local families with free Home Energy Makeovers. FPL experts installed energy-efficient upgrades to help residents save money on their electric bill.

Approximately 60 energy experts from FPL and employee volunteers from the City of Sanford traveled through neighborhoods to deliver the gift of energy-efficiency upgrades to residents, saving these FPL customers up to 25 percent monthly on their electric bills.

Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett, Commissioner Velma Williams and the Goldsboro Front Porch Council of Sanford joined the FPL volunteers and helped out with energy-efficient upgrades as part of the Home Energy Makeover team. “Our partnership with FPL gives residents of Sanford access to the tools and information they need to learn to conserve energy and to save money,” Mayor Jeff Triplett said. “The Home Energy Makeover is a great way for Sanford residents to kick-off the holiday season with savings.”

Upgrades performed included: installing lifetime air conditioning filters, compact fluorescent lights, weather stripping, and water-saving showerheads and faucets, as well as inserting refrigerator and freezer thermometers.

“FPL is proud to partner with the City of Sanford to educate residents on how to reduce their energy use and save on their monthly expenses,” said Larry Volenec, FPL’s external affairs manager. “Our energy-makeover team shared tips and advice on easy, low-cost improvements that can benefit all families throughout the service territory. FPL customers have the lowest electric bills in the state, and these tips will help them continue to save.”

Most of these energy-efficiency upgrades can be adopted by any FPL customer looking to make smarter, cleaner energy choices. Customers can learn about the improvements installed during Home Energy Makeovers by visiting the Energy Savings Toolkit section at http://www.FPL.com/ohes and taking a free, online Home Energy Survey.

Energy-Efficient Donations help Fort Myers Homeless Organization save on its Electric Bill

Businesses and organizations looking to better manage their energy use and save on their monthly bills can take FPL’s free Business Energy Evaluation.

Juno Beach, FL (October 3, 2012) — Today, Florida Power & Light Company and local contractors led an effort to benefit a nonprofit organization that helps those in need every day. Fort Myers-based Community Cooperative Ministries Incorporated (CCMI) received a free energy makeover from FPL, which will help the organization save at least $3,000 a year in electricity costs.

Incorporated in 1984, the CCMI is dedicated to ending hunger in Lee County by providing nutritious meals, groceries, quality early childhood education, social services, case management and referral to the homeless, homebound, seniors, working poor, children and the frail in our community. The agency provides more than 14,000 meals each month through their Everyday Café & Marketplace and Home Delivered Meals programs. CCMI also educates 40 children in its Community Montessori, offers homeless and comprehensive case management services through its United Way Resource House, oversees an emergency mobile food pantry and supplies weekend backpacks full of food to more than 2,500 children each school year.

“We are so appreciative and thankful to FPL and its partners for their generosity and hard work in making our organization more energy-efficient,” said Tracey Galloway, CEO of Community Cooperative Ministries Incorporated. “It feels good to know that there are companies out there that take an active role helping those in need in our community. The money we save on our electric bill will help us to provide more comprehensive services to the homeless in our community.”

FPL and local contractors added film to all windows to save energy by reducing solar heat gain in summer and retaining heat in winter. Other upgrades included the installation of energy-efficient lighting and the addition of new freezer curtain strips in the organization’s large walk-in freezer to keep chilled air inside and energy bills even lower.

“We are very grateful for the CCMI’s important role in the community,” said FPL Community Relations Specialist, Tim Moore. “We’re happy that we are able to give back to such an integral organization in our neighborhood. This makeover has allowed us to give the CCMI a long-term return on the investments we make here today at no charge to them. FPL customers have the lowest electric bills in the state, and these upgrades will help them continue to save and further help others who need assistance.”

Most of the energy efficiency upgrades that were completed today can be adopted by any business customer looking to make smarter energy choices. Businesses and organizations looking to better manage their energy use and save on their monthly bills can take FPL’s free Business Energy Evaluation.
