Mr Breedlove has spent his life playing the role of class clown. Where school teachers tried to instill a lesson of the trait being wrong, life in prison showed deep appreciation for his sense of humor. In 2002 he started writing down his antics. Some of his funniest work can now be found in the Breedlove Calendar Quotes app on the Android Market. It syncs with the user’s Google Calendar and fits on one of the device’s homescreens.

Importance of Family is Theme of New Children’s Book

Author Tim Kloos recognizes the important role his family has played throughout his young life.

Houston, TX (USA), Tuesday – January 03, 2012 — Author Tim Kloos recognizes the important role his family has played throughout his young life. His new children’s book, A Mishap (or Two), recently published through Halo Publishing International ( http://www.halopublishing.com ), stresses the important relationship between a father and a son in a fun, rhyming story readers will truly love.

“One of my hopes for the book is that it will inspire parents to be better parents,” Kloos said. Parents make mistakes sometimes, explained the author. “If the parents own up to their responsibility when things don’t go right, children learn how to do that too.” “I think that is an important lesson.” “And, we all need someone to encourage us along the way,” Kloos said.

Halo Publisher Lisa Umina said parents will enjoy reading A Mishap (or Two) with their children. “It is important for parents to develop the love of reading in children.” “This book is about the family relationship and that sometimes people make mistakes.” “I think sharing the message strengthens the family bond,” Umina said.

While in college at Cleveland State University, Kloos tutored grade school children through the America Reads program, a grassroots national campaign challenging every American to help all our children learn to read. Always searching for new books to share with his students, Kloos was inspired to write A Mishap (or Two). A meaningful tale the author describes as “Little House on the Prairie meets Dr. Seuss.”

Kloos said the book is a good bedtime story, one he hopes parents share often with their children. “I think one of the book’s strengths is that it uses the fun of rhyming but challenges readers beyond the “See Spot Run” reading level,” said the author.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Kloos grew up in the West Park neighborhood where he attended St. Mark’s Catholic grade school and became a 2001 graduate of St. Edward’s High School. He attended Bowling Green State University and graduated in 2005 from Cleveland State University with a degree in Computer Science. One of four children, Kloos and a brother started their own company, Resonant Programming, which specializes in Web programming and computer consulting services including search engine optimization and Web site creation.

Kloos plans to promote his book at schools, libraries and area book stores.

harlequins enigma Releases Time Dance (Liberty Mix), Available Shortly on Major Mp3 Stores

harlequins enigma release a new professionally remastered version of their favourite dance track from octagon volume 2 – night pulse and the silhouette of dr. voodoo.

Bergen, Norway, Wednesday – December 28, 2011 — Harlequins enigma release a new professionally remastered version of their favourite dance track from octagon volume 2 – night pulse and the silhouette of dr. voodoo. It is of course “time dance.” This version goes under the name “time dance – liberty mix.” Time dance was remastered at last drop mastering by Nathan Allen at the end of November 2011. The dance track time dance was composed by åge riisnes & his brother ståle. harlequins enigma have high hopes for the single, and hope the dance scene will give it a chance.

Åge drew inspiration from early 80s/90s+ hits in his heart & had a nice period in 2009 where many of the “skyscrapers” came to life. A romance had much to do with parts of it. In his early ophidian period, he was influenced by a vast number of artists. including amiga artists atjazz, øistein j. eide – boom jinx, jesper kyd, bjørn lynne and others. In addition, he had a nice collection of audio cd’s early in his career like Jean Michel Jarre – Chronologie, Vangelis – Blade Runner, Pink Floyd – The Wall, Limp Bizkit, Korn, P.O.D., Kate Bush, Yello, Tori Amos, Depeche Mode, Røyksopp, Kitaro, tons of the best Billboard music and classical pieces from Beethoven ( http://www.harlenia.com ), Grieg, Wagner & others. They were all part of his root elements. He also had an early heavy metal period with favourites at the time: Metallica, Motley Crue, King Diamond, Ratt, Whitesnake, Rainbow, The Clash & more, plus he grew fond of Kenji Kawai’s Ghost in the Shell soundtrack among others, as his roots were made from early 1990’s to the next millennium. Night pulse & the silhouette of dr. voodoo is based on heartbeat b.p.m. – but much of it drew juice from manga metal etc.

Harlqeuins enigma informs that this single is an interruption in their holiday from music. So it is time for them to relax for some months, that will lead them to piece of mind and to the summer of 2012, until you hear from them again musically. Their homepage will hold important messages, and all stores will be open. And they would like to greet all fans of the band, and invite everyone for a close listen to their new beauty.

Album distributor: zimbalam. time dance (liberty mix)
Estimated time of arrival: shortly/in transit.

Top 5 MMFF 2011 (Metro Manila Film Festival) Films You Should Watch!

Top 5 MMFF 2011 (Metro Manila Film Festival) Films You Should Watch!

So, what awaits us this time around? Aside from Eugene Domingo being practically superhuman by appearing in several MMFF 2011 entries, we’ve only got our keen sense of intuition to tell us how every movie is going to end.

Yes, once again, it’s December. And aside from awaiting numerous presents to be unwrapped, a hefty Noche Buena to devour, or loads of idle time watching the twinkling Christmas lights, we’ve got the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 to be thankful for (or not). For its 36th stupendous year of dissuading the Philippine public from watching any foreign film for an entire week, we’re all just about to pee our pants in glee to await the 13th installment of Shake, Rattle and Roll (we personally thought it was on its 20th run). Yes, for the thirty-sixth time, we will never be able to experience even just a hint of all the white Christmas movies featuring a fat, bearded Santa, naughty kids, or a comedic, dysfunctional family. Yup, you missed Home Alone two decades ago because Andrea, Paano Ba Maging Isang Ina was a bigger blockbuster.

1. Shake, Rattle, and Roll 13

Our Stars: Eugene Domingo and the little boy who absolutely does not remind us of Haley Joel Osment in the Sixth Sense.
Our Plot: Teenage stupidity releases a horde of zombie-like ghosts that bed-grab chicks in the night, Freddy Krueger style. Oh yes, and a bunch of really pissed-off dead people, too!
The Possible Ending: Everyone dies, except our heroine Eugene Domingo. Also, the makeup artist gets fired because they finally have the budget to hire digital artists.

2. Enteng Ng Ina Mo

Our Stars: The green monster who might’ve been Shrek’s younger brother.
Our Plot: Ai Ai de las Alas enters Shrek world and becomes Zelda. After all, she was totally asking for some medieval action after marrying Enteng, right?
The Possible Ending: Ai Ai decides that she hates Shrek-world because that entails having to wear some metallic shoulder pads. She gives up her enchanted world and moves to Boracay. Oh, and their son and yaya like purple very much.

3. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Our Stars: Lovi Poe, who can afford to live in a huge house but can’t seem to hire a yaya for her baby. Oh, let’s not forget the gold digger, the step mom, the cheating hottie, the old hag, the first husband, the jealous boyfriend, and of course, the cougar. Yay for cliche!
Our Plot: A bunch of people have really horrible sex lives, but end up hugging and crying after some earthquake thing that could have been an alien invasion.
The Possible Ending: Solenn stays hot, Maricel gets a fat paycheck, and Gabby Concepcion is definitely NOT 45 years old.

4. Ang Panday 2

Our Stars: Bong Revilla reprises his role as the almighty Flavio, Marian Rivera as the ethereal nymph Arlana, Iza Calzado as Panday’s damsel-in-distress Maria, and a slew of other big names (Philip Salvador, Rhian Ramos, Eddie Garcia) that’ll surely rake in the moolah for this sequel.
Our Plot: The balance of good and evil has been thrown off its course once again and it’s up to Flavio and his, um, mythical sword (projecting much?) to save the world.
The Possible Ending: Flavio defeats his nemesis Lizardo, saves the day, and wins the girl. Then hops on a dragon and rides off into the senate, never to be seen again… or at least until Metro Manila Film Fest 2012.

5. Segunda Mano

Our Stars: Kris Aquino stars as a compulsive shopper who stumbles upon the handbag of her dreams! Everything is peachy keen until she discovers the bag is cursed and its previous owner haunts it. It’s a paranormal snafu. Ding Dong Dantes and Angelica Panganiban also star.
Our Plot: A haunted handbag? Has it really come to this?
The Possible Ending: Kris gets help for her shopping addiction and does what anyone in their right mind would do in the unlikely event they’re faced with a haunted handbag, and throws the damn thing away. Girl already has a Birkin.

Author of New Biography of New Jersey Political Figure Receives Letter From Rep. Barney Frank

The author of a new biography of famed Jersey City mayor and political boss Frank Hague which has reached the #1 spot on Amazon.com in the category Hot New Releases in United States Biographies has received a congratulatory letter on the book from Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank.

Los Altos, CA (USA), Monday – December 26, 2011 — The author of a new biography of famed Jersey City mayor and political boss Frank Hague which has reached the #1 spot on Amazon.com in the category Hot New Releases in United States Biographies has received a congratulatory letter on the book from Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank. Rep. Frank indicated in the letter how his siblings were born in the Margaret Hague Hospital, a maternity hospital built by Hague and named after his mother. Frank who grew up in Bayonne recently recalled an account of his father and uncle’s involvement working for the Hague organization.

In 1946, my father’s brother Harry got the contract to sell cars to the city, and of course he had to give a kickback to the guys who ran the city. My father was a middleman or something.” Sam was subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury about the matter. He refused and was found in criminal contempt. “For a while, he was hiding out from the cops in New York,” “I was six years old, and once I went to see him in the city, and we saw ‘Robin Hood,’ with Errol Flynn. The next day, the cops came to my first-grade class to interview me, to see if I had been with my dad. My father’s sister, Aunt Minnie, taught at the school. She heard about the cops coming and went straight to my classroom to break it up, so I didn’t have to talk.”

Frank Hague served as the mayor of Jersey City for much of the early twentieth century.

Frank Hague’s power extended well beyond the boundaries of Jersey City or even New Jersey. Hague’s political muscle reached the highest levels of government including the White House. Considering Hague was a man with a sixth grade education who grew up poor and ended up with the power to make someone a federal judge, a congressman or even a United States senator makes the story all that more American.

And yet while historians have placed Hague in the club of corrupt politicians, such as James Curley of Boston and Daley of Chicago, unlike his peers whose reputations although tainted have been redeemed and presented in a historically balanced way Hague continues to be portrayed as a the quintessential poster child for political corruption.

In his new biography The Life & Times of Jersey City Mayor Frank Hague: “I Am the Law” (The History Press) author Leonard Vernon reexamines Hague s deeds, prompting a new understanding of his life. Vernon makes the point that many writers have taken liberties in describing Hague having presented an unfair portrait of the man. As an example Vernon cites the HBO series, Boardwalk Empire, the show that focuses on Prohibition era Atlantic City and the Republican boss of Atlantic County, Nucky Johnson. During one of the episodes Chris Mulkey the actor playing the role of Jersey City mayor Frank Hague appears on the scene. Hague and Nucky are sitting down together in a brothel, Hague with a prostitute on his lap and an alcoholic drink in his hand. Vernon points out that friend and foe alike would agree that this was a total mischaracterization of the man. Frank Hague did not drink alcohol nor was he a womanizer, and while his abstention from these vices may have been for moral reasons, practical political reasons no doubt also prevented such behavior. Hague suffered from a throat and digestive problem that prevented his drinking of alcohol, as far as women, Hague realized that his major support came from the Catholic Church and members of the church hierarchy, for Hague to be seen with a another women, especially a prostitute would have ruined his career.

Consequently, The Life & Times of Jersey City Mayor Frank Hague includes far more material than previous works on Hague, and is as much the story of the city Jersey City as it is of the man. Covering the years between 1871 and 1956 (that is, between Daley’s birth and death) Vernon shows us a life that in some ways symbolizes the American dream: a boy from a poor neighborhood grows up to wield unimaginable power. It captures the grittiness of Hague’s boyhood–the day-to-day of life near the factories and rail yards with its soot in the air and odors from nearby stockyards, the importance of ethnicity in local neighborhoods and the city’s seemingly paradoxical combination of parochialism and diversity, dynamic growth and resistance to change. Initiated into machine politics as a young man, Hague quickly embraced the machine’s values of order, allegiance, and authority and, above all, the pursuit of power. Later, he ran the city in accordance with these values; But Hague’s was a complicated legacy. While bringing top flight medical care to Jersey City and affecting national politics, he was also held responsible for police brutality and trampling on civil rights. Throughout the book, Vernon reminds readers that Hague’s real influence came from the powerful political machine he created. When he didn’t like guidelines from national agencies, for example, he went directly to the presidents he helped get elected. When he got bad local press, people lost their jobs and his neighbors marched in his support. When FDR began his campaign for the presidency he launched it from New Jersey at an event organized by Hague. It’s startling to remember that this was simply a local office; the mayor and that the mayors influence affected the entire country.

The Life & Times of Jersey City Mayor Frank Hague shows politics at its deepest level, and each chapter brings new insights into a complex man and the system he created in order to rule the city that made him. The Life & Times of Jersey City Mayor Frank Hague is scheduled for release on November 18th, 20011. The book is available at most chain book stores such as Barnes & Noble or through Amazon.com at
