Anaheim, CA, USA (March 6, 2016) — SunGreen Systems, experts in the design and construction of commercial solar systems and sustainable, smart energy solutions, will be attending the ribbon-cutting to inaugurate a new 521.5 KW solar power systems that SunGreen designed and installed for YKK U.S.A., Inc. The new photovoltaic systems will generate sufficient power to meet 97.6 percent of the energy needs of YKK’s zipper manufacturing facility and it will be the fourth largest solar array in operation in the city of Anaheim.

SunGreen Systems designed and installed the new solar system using 1,968 solar panels provided by Mitsubishi Electric. The total power output for the new solar system is 521.5 kW of DC power, with an annual power capacity of 843,336 kWh. The new solar installation will not only deliver all of the power needed for YKK’s Anaheim plant, but it will also help fulfill the YKK’s mission of environmental protection and sustainability for its global operations.

“This is the first solar system we designed and installed for YKK and we are extremely proud of this project,” said Rick Hsu, CEO of SunGreen Systems. “This solar installation will be able to meet all of YKK’s power requirements and is part of this fastener company’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gases and promoting sustainable operations worldwide.”

The new YKK solar system will offset 896 tons of carbon dioxide annually, or an estimated 27,000 tons of CO2 over the life of the solar system. That’s the equivalent of planting 4,484 trees each year or 134,520 trees over the life of the system.

Using solar power for YKK’s Anaheim facility supports the company’s 1994 Environmental Charter to support conservation and preserve natural resources for future generations. YKK has 109 affiliated organizations in more than 70 countries with more than 39,000 employees.

T5 Data Centers Receives Tax Exemption for New Build-to-Suit Data Center at Kings Mountain Campus

North Carolina Competes Act HB 117 Gives New Kings Mountain Data Center Tenants Millions of Dollars in Tax Exemptions for Both Construction and Operations.

Kings Mountain, NC, USA — T5 Data Centers™, innovators in providing state-of-the-art, customizable and highly reliable computing support environments, has been granted tax exempt status by the state of North Carolina for its new build-to-suit project at the company’s King’s Mountain Data Center campus. The tax incentive was awarded under the recently enacted HB 117, the North Carolina Competes Act, which grants tax privileges specifically to data centers, and will provide tax exemption for both data center construction and operations.

Under the tax exemption umbrella, T5 Data Centers is exempt from paying sales or use taxes on major equipment and supporting infrastructure during construction of the new build-to-suit data center. The savings during construction are expected to be significant for T5 as well as for T5’s customers. It also means that T5 Data Centers and its new customer will be exempt from taxes related to data hall IT deployments and facility operations, which includes expenses for servers, hardware, equipment, and taxes on electricity. To qualify for the tax exemption, a cumulative anticipated investment of $75 million has to be made in the data center over five years.

“With the new data center tax incentives, North Carolina becomes an even better location for companies seeking to build a high-performance data center facility,” said Robbie Sovie, Vice President of Construction Services. “The tax savings during the construction phase are substantial, and our customers are already talking about reallocating those tax savings to assist with continued investment in the Kings Mountain data center. This new tax incentive package continues to make North Carolina one of the most cost-effective locations to build and operate a data center.”

The tax exemption savings new Kings Mountain tenants receive under HB 117 are in addition to the agreements T5 Data Centers has negotiated with the City of Kings Mountain and Cleveland County for 30-year rebates on real and personal property. The combined tax incentives make T5’s Kings Mountain campus an attractive location for data center investment.

SunGreen Systems Cuts Ribbon on 204.52 kW Solar System Designed to Power Allstate Floral

Rooftop Photovoltaic System Expected to Meet 93% of Allstate Floral’s Energy Needs.

Cerritos, CA, USA (March 4, 2016) — SunGreen Systems, experts in the design and construction of commercial solar systems and sustainable, smart energy solutions, will be cutting the ribbon today to signal the completion of a new 203.52 kW photovoltaic power system at Allstate Floral facility here. The new solar power system is expected to provide 93 percent of the company’s current electrical load.

SunGreen Systems designed and installed the premium solar array consisting of 768 solar panels for Allstate Floral, which is one of the top importers of beautiful silk and artificial flowers, greenery, and home accessories. The solar panels were provided by Mitsubishi Electric and the completed solar system delivers 203.52 watts of DC power with an annual production of 330,997 kWh.

“The solar system for Allstate Floral is one of the largest installations SunGreen Systems has designed in the area and demonstrates the value any company can derive from solar energy,” said Rick Hsu, CEO of SunGreen Systems. “More companies throughout Los Angeles County are seeing the substantial return on their solar investment, not only from reducing energy costs but reducing pollution as well. We hope to continue our relationship with Allstate Floral to provide solar power for the company’s other buildings.”

The solar array will not only offset Allstate Floral’s energy costs but it will have a significant positive environmental impact. The newly commissioned solar system will offset 146.64 tons of carbon dioxide each year, or 3,668.8 tons for the expected life of the system. That’s the equivalent of planning 60 acres of trees every year, or 1,500 acres of trees for the life of the system.

AsTech Consulting Identifies Security Assessment as the Missing Piece in Merger & Acquisition Due Diligence

San Francisco Security Firm Working with Investment Advisors to Uncover Critical Security Flaws that Present Added Risk for Corporate Acquisitions.

San Francisco, CA, USA — Hidden security flaws in software and network infrastructure pose great risks to successful mergers and acquisitions, and yet assessing the security of target companies is commonly omitted from the M&A due diligence process. According to the team at AsTech Consulting-independent cyber security experts specializing in software and IT infrastructure security-unidentified vulnerabilities can heavily influence the value of an acquisition, and more investment advisors and corporations are working with AsTech to uncover hidden security issues to guide valuation and deal negotiations.

“A few years ago security audits were just for ‘tech’ companies but today almost every business is dependent on increasingly vulnerable, interconnected technology. Buyers no longer see this as an isolated ‘IT’ issue, it’s become a boardroom issue,” said David Fox, Managing Director, Strategic Value Advisors.

Assessing security issues and overall cyber risk is seldom considered as part of due diligence in merger and acquisition discussions, but this is changing. Negotiating parties examine revenue, assets, inventory, channels, and partnerships, but fail to recognize that a security weakness in the network infrastructure or source code may compel remediation costs that annihilate a significant percentage of the subject valuation. Security breach remediation and customer notification routinely cost companies hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions. For example, there are 47 states with “breach notification” laws and, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, the average cost of a security breach customer notification alone in 2014 was $500,000.

“Hidden security issues can have a profound impact on any merger. In one recent case, the acquisition target discovered a breach during negotiations that affected their customers as well as the company itself. The acquiring company simply walked away from the table,” said Greg Reber, founder and CEO of AsTech Consulting. “To meet the market’s need, AsTech has launched an M&A Security Due Diligence Practice. Developed with M&A advisors, venture capital investors and security practitioners, this service focuses on getting useful information to the right players quickly, before it’s too late to have an effect on negotiations.”

Dr. Martin Carmichael, former CISO of TD Ameritrade and McAfee, agrees, stating: “As CISO of TD Ameritrade, I engaged AsTech to perform a security evaluation after an acquisition deal was done. They discovered critical security flaws, which required significant remediation costs. This information would have affected the valuation, and negotiations.”

Guy Henshaw, board member of payroll company Evolution HCM notes: “AsTech has helped our company assess the cyber risk of potential acquisitions on three occasions. They are adept at quickly assessing and analyzing risks: distilling results into very succinct reporting with recommendations. We will not go into a deal without the AsTech Due Diligence Cyber Risk Assessment.”

Depending on ‘deal-specific variables,’ there is a range of scrutiny that may be applied to this type of due diligence. A software company being acquired for the software itself doesn’t need an IT infrastructure assessment, but rather a software security analysis which in most cases could produce key results within a few business days.

“The business climate is changing and chief executives and board members are being held accountable by shareholders, employees, and others for costly security breaches,” Reber said. “Legal disclaimers no longer excuse liability. Smart executives are scrutinizing security in advance, rather than waiting for hidden problems to emerge that can create costly remediation. Assessing security vulnerabilities in advance strengthens your negotiating position, regardless of which side of the table you’re on.”

About AsTech Consulting
AsTech Consulting has been helping Fortune 1000 companies manage risk and protect vital information assets since 1997. World Tea & Coffee Expo, Mumbai India to Showcase the Best Teas from Siliguri and North Bengal Thru a Dedicated Siliguri Pavilion

* “World Tea & Coffee Expo”™ 2016, India’s Only International Trade Show Dedicated to the Tea & Coffee Sectors to be held from 20th Oct – 22nd Oct 2016 at Mumbai, India. * WTCE is participating as Exhibitor at the 4th “Tea Forum” at Siliguri from 26 to 27 Feb 2016.

Mumbai, India, February 23rd, 2016 — The Oct 2016 Edition of “World Tea & Coffee Expo (WTCE)” at Mumbai India shall showcase tea from Siliguri through a special dedicated “Siliguri Pavilion”. To be held from 20th to 22nd Oct 2016 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, INDIA, WTCE shall be the gateway for Siliguri Tea companies to expand their business nationally and globally. Siliguri has been growing in prominence in the Tea sector over the last few years due to the high quality of its produce as also the concentration of a large number of companies in this small but important town. India is likely to witness the launch of over 200 packet tea brands in the next 18 months of which more than 50 are likely to be launched by companies headquartered in Siliguri. E-commerce tea portals are another area where a number of Siliguri companies have taken lead in offering a variety of world class products to consumers across the globe. This makes Siliguri a challenging trade centre with unlimited potential.

Companies from Siliguri had no national platform to showcase their unique products, until the World Tea & Coffee Expo was launched in Mumbai in 2013. The Expo has been undertaking the task of opening up the national – and global – markets for Siliguri Tea companies enabling them to be on par with the leaders in this field. Says Mitesh M Kapadia, Director, Sentinel Exhibitions Asia P Ltd, organiser of WTCE, “The basic vision of our show is to offer a national and international platform at a competitive price to Indian companies – especially regional and small players – to expand their footprint and grow their business inspite of having low budgets. Participating at this exhibition enables companies to cut down on costs related to sales, branding, appointing distribution agents or for institutional sales”. The Siliguri pavilion at WTCE shall have additional branding and buyers shall access all the offerings of Siliguri within the pavilion.

The gateway of North East Bengal, Siliguri is a fast growing economic centre with borders of four countries viz. India, China, Bangladesh and Nepal meeting at this region. It is because of the position of Siliguri that North Bengal has come to be a hub for trade and commerce. Companies having tea gardens in the Dooars and Terai regions of North Bengal are primarily headquartered at Siliguri with a number of Darjeeling tea garden owners also based here. There are over 450 Tea gardens in North Bengal giving direct employment to more than 3.5 lakh workers – more than half being women.

In addition to a display of tea and coffee brands and products, WTCE shall also showcase Vending Solutions, ingredients, machineries, technologies and certifications from the entire gamut of the Hot beverage sector. Workshops and a high level Conference make WTCE an ideal networking ground for manufacturers, producers, buyers, wholesalers, packagers, distributors, brokers, warehouse owners and suppliers. The 2015 edition of WTCE – also held at Mumbai – had a total attendance of 52 exhibiting companies from 7 countries and over 3200 Trade Visitors. Some of the biggest names in the Hot beverage sector continue to be a part of this one of its kind expo.

Adds Kapadia, “Mumbai being the commercial capital of India provides the perfect environment for the hot beverage industry to meet face-to-face and develop real business opportunities.” In order to enable maximum companies from Siliguri to be able to take advantage of this unique platform, WTCE is participating as Exhibitor at the 4th “Tea Forum” at Siliguri from 26 – 27 February 2016 organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Federation of All India Tea Traders Association (FAITTA)

WTCE has become the ideal launch pad for new products especially by SMEs who don’t have big budgets. The show is attended in a big way by the HoReCa sector as also Retailers, Wholesalers, Importers/Exporters, Chain stores, F&B managers, Spa managers, Hotels / Hotel Chains, Vendors/Suppliers, Grocers, Resorts, Tea & Coffee houses, Spices Manufacturers and allied professionals. The trade fair is organized by Sentinel Exhibitions Asia P Ltd [SEA], a part of the Sentinel media group.

WTCE is supported by many eminent trade bodies including Tea Board of India (Govt. of India) and fulfils the need for an organized event for Tea & Coffee Companies in India to come together.
