Jupiter, FL, USA (July 16, 2014) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that fine art photographer Dennis Sabo is their newest featured artist. He will now be presented in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase section for the next month.

Dennis Sabo, a Loudon, Tennessee resident, is an internationally honored photographer specializing in contemporary abstract, landscape, and seascape photography. His fine art prints interweave his creative compositional expressions and vivid colors into nature’s greater scheme of things. Dennis has refined the photograph into an interpretive collage of colors, and texture.

His award-winning work has appeared in various publications, television, the Internet and institutions, among them NOVA, PBS, National Geographic, Hilton Hotels, Ocean Conservancy, and Blue Planet.

His fine art has been included in solo and group gallery exhibitions at the Blowing Rocks Preserve- Hobe Sound, FL., Arts in the Airport Spring 2011/13 Exhibition-Knoxville, the National Juried Exhibition 2011/13- Knoxville, Red Line Gallery-Farragut, TN, the Emporium-Knoxville, Dogwood Regional Fine Art Exhibition 2012/14, Knoxville, TN, Bliss Home Designs 2013/14, Tomato Head- Knoxville, TN 2012/13, and ongoing at “The Art Market Gallery”, Knoxville, Tennessee.

Dennis states about his photography, “I often turn to the masters for inspiration, Monet as a painter, and Elliot Porter as a photographer. I challenge myself to capture common subjects that are often overlooked and then refine the photograph into an interpretive collage of color, motion, and textures. With a global community very much focused on environmental impact and fragile ecosystems, my artwork captures natural images and color with a perspective people easily miss. My interest is in the natural details; how the environment on a particular day, in a particular light, and at a particular moment in time correlates to my personal vision and interpretation of nature”. Dennis Sabo’s website is http://www.dsabophoto.com.

Legendary Carmel Artist Malcolm Moran Works on Display at Mountainsong Galleries in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Malcolm Moran moved to Carmel in 1963 and opened Gallery Carmel, which was a stage for his cast of thousands.

Carmel-By-Sea, CA, July 09, 2014 – Malcolm Moran moved to Carmel in 1963 and opened Gallery Carmel, which was a stage for his cast of thousands. He was also a partner in the Hog’s Breath restaurant and had his home and gallery memorialized in the movie “Play Misty for Me”.

He became the leader of the contemporary bronze sculpture movement. He is the innovator of dozens of techniques still used by many artists today. He began his education in architecture and industrial design at the University of Washington and went on to study a variety of mediums at Cornish Art School in Seattle, Art Center School in Los Angeles, the Kobe Union in Japan and Cranbrook Academy in Michigan.

His technical skills were honed from working on advanced styling concepts for the Big Three in Detroit – Chrysler, General Motors and Ford – and went onto interior design for the first Boeing 707. Later he was named to the prestigious post as Art Director of the Seattle World Fair.

In the mid-fifties he met Donald Buby and in 1960 they teamed to open their first gallery in Bloomfield, Michigan. In 1963, Moran settled in Carmel, California, and with Buby they established their new gallery and studio. He would become an influential force in the contemporary bronze sculpture movement. Many of his innovative techniques still resonate today.

One of Malcolm’s greatest honors was being invited by President Ford and his wife, Betty to have a showing of his art at the White House. In addition to Malcolm’s art career, he was also a proud member of the military beginning with the Merchant Marines Academy in California and later serving in the Army as a First Lieutenant during WWII..

Two works displayed at Mountainsong Galleries:
• Malcolm Moran
• BRONZE FALCON
• $55,000.00
• 9”H X 31”W X 28”D

Malcolm started his career as a designer in advanced styling concepts for General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, and Boeing in the 1950’s and was appointed the art director of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair where the theme was “Space Age”.

This Modern Abstract Sculpture interpretation of a falcon originally made on a smaller scale. A curious Ornithologist heard of Malcolm having live birds in his studio, such as owls, pigeons and Pete the Crow. When he saw the small sculpture of the falcon he was extremely impressed on how accurate it was, it was the best interpretation he has ever seen, and suggested he do a larger one. This piece was fifteen years in the making.

This one of a kind sculpture, is mounted on extremely rare Big Sure jade. It is over 100 years old and has been tumbled and naturally polished by nature, under the ocean. Pieces such as this one are now extinct. This piece has been in the family collection

• Malcolm Moran
• Children at Play
• $50,000.00
• 19”H X 24”W X 12”D

This piece was commissioned by Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Kaiser of their six children playing in the Cypress trees. The sculpture sits on two pieces of very rare Big Sur jade. The sculpture took one year to complete. Mrs. Kaiser wrote Malcolm personal letters describing each child’ personal interests. Copies of these letters are available with the purchase of the piece.

Mr. Kaiser loved this piece so much, he put in his will to have the sculpture displayed on his Crypt. The family granted his wishes, but after time so many people had touched, the family was worried it would get damaged, so they had it removed. Having trouble deciding which sibling should keep the piece they decided to sell it.

Mr. & Mrs. Kaiser were collectors of Malcolm Moran sculptures, Edgar kept a wharf scene along with other Moran sculptures on his private Yacht . This is truly a piece of history.

Blueprint Bible Lessons for Kids: 52 Lessons for Preschool through Grade 5 By Pam McLagan

BluePrint Bible Lessons for Kids is a curriculum designed to give parents and teachers a framework for teaching Biblical fundamentals.

Houston, TX (USA), June 26, 2014 — BluePrint Bible Lessons for Kids is a curriculum designed to give parents and teachers a framework for teaching Biblical fundamentals. Because of the way the lessons are structured, teachers can use their own creativity to communicate the stories. Sunday Schools, preschools, after school clubs, or homeschoolers can all benefit from the scope and sequence presented.

The book is divided into four sections: each section contains thirteen lessons, and each section focuses on a main topic. The first quarter contains lessons on how God creates the world and chooses a people; the second focuses on Advent and how the people involved were obedient. The third quarter follows the theme of Jesus as our teacher and savior, and the fourth includes the armor of God, the fruit of the Spirit, and some Bible heroes.
The book is also unique in how the author presents the material. First there is the scripture portion which includes the story. This will help both teachers and parents to accurately recount the story to the children. Second is the memory section which connects to three or four lessons. Thirdly, there is the consider section for teachers and parents which gives information or just provides a different outlook on something that the teacher is familiar with. Lastly, our children section deals with new words and terms that the child may not already know.

The author also encourages teachers and parents to teach the material in a style that children will be able to get excited about by using visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile styles of teaching. These styles add rhythm and enthusiasm to the presentation of material. This way kids can be attentive to what is presented and they can learn the lessons better.

What a great book! I will definitely pass the book along to my friend who is homeschooling her children, and encourage other parents to buy the book as well in my church community and in our children’s Bible Study classes.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery Chooses Submittable

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce they have chosen Submittable, the online submission platform, to receive and administer the gallery’s art competition submissions.

Jupiter, FL, USA (June 26, 2014) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce they have chosen Submittable, the online submission platform, to receive and administer the gallery’s art competition submissions. This change will become effective July 1, 2014.

Submittable is an international online platform that provides administrative processing of entries for art organizations. Submittable provides these services for most creatives, specializing in writing, film-making, art, photography and grants.

Based in Montana, Submittable was founded in 2009. Presently, they provide administrative services to more than 7,000 organizations. Their website is http://www.submittable.com.

John R. Math, Gallery Director of Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery explains the rationale for this change. “As our online art competitions have become more popular and are now on a large international scale, we want the artists who compete to have their entries administered 24 hours a day. The Submittable platform provides this function efficiently for us”.

Math goes on to say, “We have wanted to upgrade our entry system. In Submittable we’ve found a simple and effective method for artists to participate in our future competitions. In addition, the platform will allow the gallery to employ guest judges and eliminate the server and upload problems that sometimes occur close to the entry deadline”.

Math, continues, “With Submittable’s easy registration (Name and Email Address Only), any artist who registers will be able to access any of their entries, as well as be registered automatically for any other competitions on the Submittable platform. We are very excited about these changes. We believe our artist participants will see the immediate benefits of using the Submittable entry platform”.

Emerging Singer-Songwriter Roxanna to Release Debut Album Exotica on July 8

“I believe the world is hungry to hear songs about love. Enough about bad romance and hate and war. Music should be easy on the ear.”

Hollywood, CA, June 21, 2014- Entering into the music world with a devastating heartbreak, the incomparable Roxanna penned “Unforgotten,” a sorrowful but soulful song, threaded with hope for tomorrow. “That song was my therapy,” Roxanna notes. “It just poured out of me, and helped me believe all of this happened for a reason.”

With the introduction to Exotica, lead single “<a href=’https://www.youtube.com/user/RoxannasMusic’>Close Your Eyes</a>” takes you on a personal journey with its dramatic storyline and emotional lyrics, Roxanna’s heartfelt message is strongly emphasized by the elegance of her gorgeous vocals. “There is a light at the end of the tunnel, after every storm there is a rainbow, just an overall hope in the end.”

<a href=’http://www.pinterest.com/roxannamusic/’>Roxanna</a> believes, “Music should bring pleasure, it should be elegant and relaxing. It’s all about friendship, pleasure, romance, love and beauty.” Roxanna’s world of experience is translated through her passion for music and songwriting. She was born in Iran in the midst of an ongoing war with Iraq. As a child, she turned to music for balance and tranquility, religiously mimicking the English-language songs of Olivia Newton-John.

After traveling the world and experiencing both heartbreak and love, Roxanna has teamed up with the best in the industry to release Exotica, a collection of stories that are universal and inspiring.

<a href=’http://www.pinterest.com/roxannamusic/’>Roxanna</a> is determined to craft every song and lyric as relatable to whomever will take a listen with the intention to always spread love and healing through her romantic songs and stories. It was while studying to be a nurse that Roxanna witnessed first hand the healing power of music. Roxanna sang each night to a young man battling cancer. When he was released, the man’s father said to her, “My son is better because of the way you sang to him.” With that, she realized that music, like medicine is a great healer and it was then hat she realized she needed to pursue signing as a career.

For her full-length album, she contacted well-known producer Mark Portmann credited with working with Julio Iglesias, Barbra Streisand, and Christina Aguilera. It was her rendition of Aguilera’s “Lift Me Up” that convinced Portmann to bring Roxanna under his wing. And what spawned from their collaboration was Exotica, a seamless, mastered mix of adult contemporary, classic pop, and world music.

Listening through the album, you’ll be taken on a journey of love … from the first moment of flirtation to the confidence you find with everlasting love.

Featuring a string of romantic songs including new renditions of The Hollies 1972 hit song, “The Air That I Breathe,” and Lionel Richie’s 1984 smash hit, “Hello”.
