Fire Up Your Creativity With SPY (NYC Spark Your Creativity)

SPY offers not only a photography lesson but also a journey to unleash participants’ potential to be creatively adventurous, while building skills to increase success in the workplace, such as strategic problem solving for professional development.

New York, NY, October 26, 2014- Sapere vedere’ is an Italian expression, literally translating to “knowing how to see.” For the launch of Spark Your Creativity (SPY) for groups, founder Roberta Fineberg uses photography as a medium for boosting creativity in a customized group experience geared towards enhancing discovery, imagination, and sapere vedere to develop skills that benefit professional achievement and personal satisfaction. Fluent in French, proficient in Italian, combined with English, her native language, Roberta Fineberg concurs that “Spy attracts audiences from around the globe.”

With a dslr, point and shoot, or iPhone, participants are led on an inspirational photo hunt to discover unknown and known treasures of New York City, using the rule of thirds, negative and positive space, while exploring intuition and personal vision. Photo techniques assist participants in creating amazing results, while the focus on composition opens minds to fresh perspectives for capturing the essence of surrounding environments. The sessions not only teach ISO, shutter speed, aperture settings, shooting in manual, highlights and shadows, depth of field and other essential components – but also SPY finds the source of students’ creativity and helps them tap into new ways of thinking. SPY techniques provide creative yet feasible strategies that can be implemented immediately, say, in the boardroom, classroom, in the office, at workplaces or in organizations.

Before SPY, Roberta Fineberg created Images and Words, a class that emphasized learning language through images, discussion, and storytelling. “By integrating writing, art, photography and technology,” Ms. Fineberg explains, “the SPY methodology developed into a creative and analytical approach to problem solving.” With over 103 workshops and counting, reviews from SPY attendees have been overwhelmingly positive, citing the benefits of a workshop:

“I’ll never look at photography and taking pictures the same after my workshop with Roberta.” ~ Delphine, after a 2-hr private night photo workshop

“I received a camera for my birthday and a class at NYC Spark Your Creativity…and it was such a great experience that I keep going back. Every class teaches me something new and allows my creativity to flow a bit more. Roberta is a magnificent teacher – patient, kind, funny, and sincere! I would recommend for everyone – from beginners to seasoned individuals. You can fly solo, with friends or with your partner. This is a great opportunity to learn new things, take great pictures, explore New York and meet new & interesting people. I would highly recommend it!” ~ C.C.

Originally intended to host 99 workshops, SPY has reached its goal and continues to transform, due to the founder’s boundless energy, enthusiasm and over 20 years’ experience as a seasoned photographer.

MAX Agency Press Release – October 19, 2014

Featured in this week’s press release is MAX Agency model talent Meaghan Ritola.

Toronto, ON, October 19, 2014 – Meaghan’s education is centered on Journalism and broadcast television and although she has done some acting she is in the midst of preparing to audition for Acting programs a various schools,

“Right now I’m in journalism at Guelph-Humber University. It’s helped me a lot because obviously I wanted to go into broadcast television. It has definitely made me more confident because we get to actually work with the cameras at our school and we get to use the broadcast room. My professors have helped me come out of my shell. Because of MAX it helped me figure out what I really want to do which is acting.”

Where would you like to study acting?

“I am hoping to get into the acting for film and television program at Humber. It’s a practical program so I’d be taking a whole completely new course. I am also applying to other acting programs.”

Meaghan’s enthusiasm for the industry and willingness to do every kind of acting project available to her including unpaid work to build up her reel led me to suggest Randolph Academy which specializes in the triple threat approach of singing, dancing and acting. What experience in the industry have you had so far?

“My internship has helped me. I interned with Bell Media at Space Channel and I got to see the production side of things and I got to help out on the show called Innerspace. I got to help out at the MMVA’s which was great! I was also able to help with CTV Upfronts where they have all the stars come in and pitch what their going to do for the next year. I love the show Vampire Diaries and the guy that played Elijah was there and the girl who plays Penelope from Criminal minds was there. So you really get a behind the scenes look”

Surprised Meaghan is only twenty-one years old and already graduating she went on to talk about her acting experience so far,

“I took acting classes out of high school and I took acting classes at my local community centre and we got to make audition tapes which was really cool. It was similar to the talent workshop we did with MAX Agency Toronto.”

With a lot of education and a bit of acting training Meaghan was approached by a MAX Agency Model and Talent Toronto Scout and decided to sign up. How have things been so far and what are your plans for the future?

“I’ve just auditioned with MAX so far. I’ve only auditioned. No parts. I’d love to join ACTRA. But for now I’m willing to do unpaid work for experience and basically ready to audition for anything and get some parts. I’m hoping to get some more experience. I have television broadcast experience but I really want to act.”

MAX Agency’s Bookers are currently looking for new Talent! If you are interested we highly recommend visiting www.maxagency.com and filling out an Application. Wishing MAX continued success in the industry we’re looking forward to the Fall and future press releases featuring individual talent and projects and finding out more about MAX!

Kristi Richter is now in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that artist Kristi Richter is their newest featured artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (October 15, 2014) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that artist Kristi Richter is their newest featured artist. Kristi will now be presented in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase section for the next month.

Kristi Richter was born and grew up in Chicago and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Art has always been a priority, and she owes her zealous interest due to her grandfather, who was a professional commercial artist and had a studio in Chicago. Her mother was also an artist, so she inherited talent from both sides of the family.

Kristi followed an art curriculum through high school, but it was when she attended The American Academy of Art and Chicago Academy of Fine Arts respectively, that she really started to understand her potential and how to express it. Her studies introduced her to the many facets of art such as advertising, illustration, calligraphy, photography, scratchboard, abstract, design, charcoal drawing with live models, and color schemes. Over time, she was able to recognize her weaknesses and sought ways to improve them, and she solidified her strengths.

Kristi’s favorite medium is acrylics because they blend easily, dry quickly and the colors are opulent and vibrant. Most of her work is done in acrylics and has included pet portraits, posters and advertisements that are animal-related. She has also written and illustrated a children’s book about a dog which she would like to publish.

Kristi’s definitive objective is to start a business exclusively doing pet portraits or a favorite wildlife creature rendered in acrylics, scratchboard, watercolor, abstract, and cartoon. She has designed a business card and advertising poster and her logo is “Kristi’s Kritters”. Kristi can be reached at keddywumpus@yahoo.com.

LondonTown.com: London gallery prepares to explore sex, penguins and much more

Wellcome Collection unveils an idiosyncratic autumn events programme for 2014

LONDON, September 17, 2014, The Wellcome Collection, one of London’s most stimulating and unusual venues is preparing to reopen after a lengthy closure for redevelopment and has revealed details of its event-packed autumn programme featuring a busy calendar of exhibitions and one-offs. The Wellcome Collection is located on the Euston Road close to Euston, King’s Cross and St Pancras International stations and features items covering art, science and history from an idiosyncratic personal collection accrued by a pharmacology billionaire on his travels almost 100 years ago. The venue is being extensively refurbished but several areas are open, including some gallery space, a café and bookshop. For more about the Wellcome Collection, see LondonTown.com, where you will also find the best information about London events and exhibitions, as well as London hotels, shops and restaurants.

The Wellcome’s programme includes An Idiosyncratic A to Z of the Human Condition, a free exhibition that runs until 12th October featuring a curious combination of objects, medical artefacts, paintings, photographs, sculptures, and contemporary artworks. Running until July 2015 is the free video installation, Eye Contact, which forms two giant pairs of eyes that stare out from the windows of the Wellcome Trust’s headquarters, winking and blinking at passing tourists and traffic. The eyes will be ‘awake’ and active through the day and will close at sunset to ‘sleep’ through the night – unless they are woken by a passing pedestrian.

The Wellcome will also be running the Age Of Exploration event series, which looks at the history of exploration and the nature of human curiosity. Events include a talk called Into The Unknown on Thursday 11th September (7-8.30pm), that looks at the human desire to question the unknown and the impact this has on our minds and bodies, and The Worst Journey on Thursday 9th October (7-8.30pm), which looks at the formation of Henry Wellcome’s vast hoard of medical curios and features a specially commissioned musical performance that looks at how how Apsley Cherry-Garrard, the youngest member of Captain Scott’s fateful expedition, risked life and limb to collect emperor penguin eggs in the Antarctic winter.

Coming later this year is a new exhibition, The Institute Of Sexology – from 20th November 2014 to 13th September 2015 – which will be a candid exploration of sexuality, featuring more than 200 objects spanning art, archival material, erotica, film and photography. It will be the first ever UK exhibition to look at the work of the pioneers of the study of sex.
