Singer-Songwriter Joseph Eid set to release Warm and Heartfelt version of “Blue Christmas” with New Video and Single November 4

New Video Release of The Classic Christmas Song Coincides with Guitarist/Vocalist’s Latest Single, ‘Something Real’, from Debut Album,‘Human’.

Los Angeles, CA, November 05, 2014 – A special Christmas combo from Joseph Eid featuring a cover version of the famous Elvis Presley Christmas hit, “Blue Christmas”, and Eid’s recent new video and single, “Something Real”, is going for adds on radio and set for this season’s holiday promotions starting November 10th. Americana-Folk Singer/Songwriter Joseph Eid released his debut full studio album Human in November 2013 and contains the first single, ‘Ready Now.” Eid has been garnering considerable buzz with his music and recently named as one of the 100 Hottest Live Unsigned Artists of 2012 and 2013 by Music Connection Magazine.

Even though, as a legendary and well known Christmas song, “Blue Christmas” has been covered by many outstanding musicians, Eid’s emotional and heartfelt singing style and his refreshing and delicate finger picking guitar sound give a brand new translation to this Christmas hit. As a folk singer/songwriter, Eid knows how to take the best advantage of the pure and clear acoustic sound of a guitar to express his inner world and passion. This version of “Blue Christmas” combined this feature with his emotional and soft male vocal, and the gentle piano fill-ins are like the red cherry on a sundae, making the whole song feels like a warm breeze in the Holiday season. Eid’s release includes not only the sound recording of this song but also a new music video, which will provide new fans and holiday music lovers a musical classic remake as well as a visual into Eid’s world.

“Human,” has been a big breakthrough with professing his craft as a professional musician. Sound of Confusion commented, “Human is a real journey with some touches of magic, all delivered with a charm and craftsmanship that rewards with each play.” The album seamlessly blends sharp, melodic pop lyricism with traditional folk sensibilities evoking folk troubadours both past and present. It overall has a peaceful and soothing feeling, while every song is a strong and passionate self-expression from the artist. The delicate and emotional guitar work and intricate but relatable lyrics has become Eid’s trademark.

The second song from Eid being serviced to radio and media/video outlets is his latest single “Something Real” from his debut album “Human”. Eid recently released a music video of “Something Real,” which is based on a personal experience that also happens to be universal with communication via technology and social media. A visually simple yet emotionally complex music video, “Something Real,” is meant as a commentary on our constant need to be plugged in and how this has changed the way we communicate as well as taken away the value and the weight of words and human connection. This idea is demonstrated in the video as Eid sings to and tries to connect with lifeless, robotic people. The twist at the end of the video illustrates that no one is immune to the digital disease – including Eid.

About Holman Ranch Vineyard and Winery:
Located at the north eastern tip of the Carmel Valley Appellation, the family-owned Holman Ranch resides approximately 12 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. Immersed in history and romance, the ranch has not only proven to be an excellent growing location for our vineyards but also for the Tuscan varietal olive trees which have flourished under the temperate climate. Holman Ranch estate-grown wine varietals are planted on approximately 19 acres of undulating terrain. The wines produced are unfined and crafted to deliver the true varietal of the grape from harvest to bottle. The climate and terroir of the appellation has played a critical part in the success of their wines. The warmth of the inland valley coupled with the cooling marine layer has proven to be an ideal microclimate for the production of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The vineyards’ Burgundy Clones have thrived from the perfect blend of ideal climate, southern exposure and thin rocky soils.

The estate wines of Holman Ranch include: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir. Carefully hand-harvested, cold pressed and bottled, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced from the fruits of our trees has a delightfully distinctive flavor.

Holman Ranch: Where the Past is Always Present. Tucked away in the rolling hills of Carmel Valley, historic Holman Ranch provides a unique and memorable setting for weddings, special events, family gatherings, corporate retreats, and team-building events. With its charming gardens, stunning mountain views and serenity, this private estate affords old-world charm while providing modern day conveniences. This stunning property includes a fully restored stone hacienda, overnight guest rooms, vineyards, olive grove, horse stables and more. www.holmanranch.com

Former Broadway Singer Writes Two Children’s Books

From protecting wildlife to overcoming disabilities and bullying, retired professional singer Lisa Batch (aka Lisa Manning Batchelder) wants to teach children valuable lessons through her books, but mostly she wishes to entertain them.

Bonita Springs, FL (USA), November 04th, 2014 — From protecting wildlife to overcoming disabilities and bullying, retired professional singer Lisa Batch (aka Lisa Manning Batchelder) wants to teach children valuable lessons through her books, but mostly she wishes to entertain them. She’s partnered with Halo Publishing International to release “Rosie Babysits, A Roseate Spoonbill Story” and “Star’s Journey.”

“I’ve travelled around the world singing for nearly 50 years, and when I retired I missed entertaining people and I needed a creative outlet,” says Batch. “I hope my books and music bring lots of smiles and giggles.”

“Rosie Babysits, A Roseate Spoonbill Story” tells a whimsical tale about a real species of bird. The comical story ends with a glossary of photographs of Floridian wildlife, like the roseate spoonbill, manatee and shark, so children can associate the characters in the book with their true-life counterparts. They also learn how to protect the wildlife around them. A book about a roseate spoonbill is rare, and Rosie and her brother Billy are one-of-a-kind characters. “I heard that Disney is making a movie about a vulture. What about a Disney movie starring Rosie?” says Batch.

In “Star’s Journey,” the book is interactive for either a classroom setting with hand gestures and movements or a soothing bedtime story that includes hugs. It’s a story about a visually impaired pony that masters his fears and gains friends in the process. Young children will learn valuable lessons about being a friend, overcoming personal obstacles/disabilities, the value of work, and the importance of not giving up.

“I was inspired to write “Star’s Journey” because I volunteer with a lady who has vision issues and who runs benefits for the Foundation Fighting Blindness,” says Batch. “Children need to know that it’s okay to be different, and it’s good to be friends with someone who has a disability. Let’s remember that a person may have difficulty in one area but shine in another. In the book, while playing hide & seek, the pony has difficulty seeing, but his other senses, hearing and smell, are keener to compensate.”

“These stories are creative and the illustrations are stunning,” says Halo Publisher Lisa M. Umina. The illustrators, Mallette Pagano and Brian Peters, bring the books to life with an illustration on every page.”

Batch also released a CD with a narration followed by seven songs for children called, “Star’s Journey, Narration and Songs.” She is singing the songs she wrote and the narration is by professional voice-over artist, Robert Gillies.

You can purchase “Star’s Journey”, “Rosie Babysits, A Roseate Spoonbill Story” and the CD through http://www.LisaBatch.com. The hardcover books each cost $15.95 and the CD is $9.95. As a promotion, if you buy two books, the CD is free. You may also buy the books alone through Halo Publishing and Amazon. Ebook will soon carry them for $5.95.

How the Cybersecurity Framework Helps your Company at Cyber Security World Conference 2014 New York

Building off of the momentum of past successful conferences, Golden Networking brings Cyber Security World Conference 2014 New York City (http://www.CyberSecurityWorldConference.com), forum that will bring the latest thinking from security experts to hundreds of senior executives focused on protecting enterprises’ information assets.

New York City, NY, USA (November 4, 2014) — A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, says Bill Buchanan, The Conversation. Computer security relies on a great number of links, hardware, software and something else altogether: you. The greatest threat to information security is actually people. Why strive to defeat encrypted passwords stored in computers, when those computers’ human users will turn them over willingly?

A huge problem with most types of digital communications, processing and storage is that it’s often very difficult to differentiate between a true communication and one which has been falsified. This stems largely from the internet’s background as an open, insecure system. In emails apparently from legitimate websites, the email address of the sender can be spoofed, that is, replaced with another that is not the sender’s actual address, as some email relay systems allow this.

Corporations are today targeted as never before, with growth in hacking attacks linked to nation states and overseas governments; in fact, sophisticated and sustained campaigns of phishing have succeeded in stealing information from firms and organizations all over the world. Symantec recorded a 62% rise in data breaches from spear phishing in 2013.

In response to the growing cyber threat, the Cybersecurity Framework, which was drafted by the Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), represents a tipping point in the evolution of cybersecurity, one in which the balance is shifting to proactive risk-management standards. While its application is voluntary, organizations across industries may gain significant benefits by adopting the guidelines.

Golden Networking’s Cyber Security World Conference 2014 New York City (http://www.CyberSecurityWorldConference.com) will provide a platform for hundreds of senior executives focused on protecting today’s enterprises to learn more about the Cybersecurity Framework and how to apply it to their organization. Topics that Cyber Security World Conference 2014 will discuss include:

• Cyber Security Megatrends Security Professionals can’t Ignore Today
• Designing and Managing Effective Information Security Programs
• Is Biometrics the Key to Personal and Corporate Security?
• How Hackers Really Operate to Obtain Financial Data
• Key Considerations about Security in the Internet of Things Age
• Strengthening the Security of Industry-wide Technology Infrastructure
• Cyber Security and its Role in the Overall Security of the United States

About Cyber Security World Conference 2014
Cyber security is never again a term to ignore for individuals or corporations. The daily activities of all Americans, the country’s global economic prominence and worldwide security rely on a safe and resilient cyberspace. Unfortunately, the number of cyber-attacks has increased dramatically over the last years, exposing confidential personal and business data, disrupting critical operations, and imposing exorbitantly high costs on the economy overall.

Just recently, J.P. Morgan Chase, America’s largest commercial bank with $2.39 trillion in assets, announced that about 76 million households and 7 million of small-business customers had been affected by a cyber attack in one of the most sweeping known global breaches. The company said the unknown attackers stole customers’ contact information, which included names, email addresses, numbers and addresses, affected an amount equivalent to almost two-thirds of American households.

A brief walk down memory lane of some the biggest recent cyber-attacks now include Adobe Systems, Automated Data Processing, Citigroup, E*Trade Financial, Fidelity Investments, Home Depot, HSBC, Nasdaq OMX, Neiman Marcus, Target and Wal-mart. It is not unlikely to consider that the information of every American has already been compromised in any of these publicly disclosed attacks.

Renowned information security experts and innovative service providers will present at Cyber Security World Conference 2014 their latest thinking to hundreds of senior executives focused on protecting enterprises and governmental agencies.

Cyber Security World Conference 2014 is produced by Golden Networking, the premier networking community for business and technology executives, entrepreneurs and investors. Panelists, speakers and sponsors are invited to contact Golden Networking by sending an email to information@goldennetworking.com.

* Q and A

About Test of Tyme:
Known as two of the most sought-after artisans and consultants on the Monterey Peninsula, Don Whitaker and Scott Coulter and their hand-picked group of sub-contractors, have worked together to build or renovate many of the largest estates in the area. Due to their passion and talent, artistic vision and top craftsmanship, they have been honored to work on 300-350 of the largest and most beautiful homes and structures in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach, including 20 homes on the ocean side of Seventeen Mile Drive in Pebble Beach as well as the Cypress Point Golf Course Club House and Pebble Beach and Tennis Club. Most recently, they have worked on a 28-room mansion near the Lone Cypress Tree. Their work, simply stated, is created to stand the Test of Tyme!

One of their specialties is in the replication and creation of Old World-inspired finishes (1680’s – 1740’s European style), as well as the creation of original pieces designed for a specific home or space. They also restore paintings and other works of art.

Since the establishment of Test of Tyme in 2008, Scott Coulter and Don Whitaker’s artistic work has been featured in the prestigious Perspectives on Design California, a publication on creative ideas shared by leading design professionals. This is a showcase of the state’s finest architects, artisans, homebuilders, landscape architects, interior designers, craftsmen, and other industry specialists, under whose creative direction the extraordinary is made possible. This publication is part of a popular series that spans the Southwest, Chicago, New England, Florida and other design-savvy regions in North America and Europe.

Test of Tyme consists of artisans whose passions lie in the transformation of a home into an embodiment of three-dimensional art. According to Scott Coulter, “We are a community of craftsman and artisans that transform dwellings into habitable works of art. From the hand laid tile individually treated to match flawlessly with one another to the revival of a damaged painting thought to be untreatable. Rustic furnishes, antique revitalization, old-world finishes, varnishes, and custom painting.”

Test of Tyme can transform every aspect of the average home into a marvelous homage to the old-world escapes captured off the pages of a European novella. The craftsmanship and artistic vision of every member of this team poured into the very foundation of each of their passionate projects. But the artistic skill of Test of Tyme extends beyond the palette of the metamorphosis. Their skills including restoring other art such as damaged sculptures, paintings, or manipulating unique pieces of art to fit with the motif of your home. Rejuvenating and recovering the vibrancy of art that was believed to be beyond saving, or modifying other pieces to synchronize fluidly to ambience of your living areas.

About Don Whitaker:
A partner in Test of Tyme, Monterey native Don Whitaker is also the owner of The Golden Hammer in Pacific Grove providing cabinetry and custom millwork, including furniture design. He earned local, state-wide and international awards for his carpentry work and has over 40 years of experience, primarily on the largest homes in the Carmel and Pebble Beach area. His passion for perfection is reflected in his wood artistry seen in doors, beams, cabinets, floors and more. Don is a graduate of Monterey High School and attended Monterey Peninsula College. SmartTOP Convertible Top Kit for Mercedes-Benz E-Class Now with Ultra Plug and Play Wiring Adapter

Aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars has refined and upgraded the wiring adapter which is part of the SmartTOP kit for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Effective immediately, a custom made adapter using OEM connectors guarantees a perfect and secure fit as well as easier connection between the SmartTOP and the vehicle electronics.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), October 31st, 2014 — The SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller made by Mods4cars for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class convertible is a retrofit module which makes use of the top simpler, more fun and comes with a few bonus features as well. To benefit from these features, all that is necessary is to connect the module with the car electronics using the supplied custom designed plug-and-play adapter harness.

This harness simply plugs in between some connectors at the top control box and the SmartTOP module. In order to make installation even easier and to avoid any problems, the adapter was completely redesigned using OEM plugs that ensure secure, tight fit and reverse polarity protection. Simply connect plug and socket until they latch. Safety levers lock the connections in place.

“We always want to make the installation of our products as easy as possible for our customers“, says PR Manager Sven Tornow. “This means for us that we deliver wiring adapters that use OEM connectors with all the necessary safety latching mechanisms and reverse polarity protection that fit perfectly and cannot come apart accidentally.” Additionally Mods4cars recently custom designed a product enclosure that makes the module itself very slim, up to 30% smaller and thereby easier to install in tight locations. Configuring and updating the module is straight forward as well: A USB port on the module allows owners to connect it to a PC or Mac to program the individual settings or update the module firmware online.

The SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller allows use of the top while driving at slow speeds of up to 50 km/h (~30mph). Thanks to the one-touch feature all it takes is one quick tap on the top switch. It is no longer necessary to hold down the switch for the duration of the operation. It is also possible to open and close the top from the original factory key fob remote up to the full RF range. No modification is necessary to the key remote or receiver system.

The SmartTOP module for E-Class convertibles also offers some neat bonus features: Separate control of the windows from the remote, comfort one-touch close off all windows at once with the dedicated “all-windows“ switch. Hazard blinkers can be activated during remote top operation and the top can be controlled via the door handle if the car has the Keyless Go factory option installed. An extended mode can be activated which allows starting or stopping the engine during an ongoing top operation and the entire module can be temporarily disabled while retaining all user configurable settings.

Effective immediately the SmartTOP kit for E-Class convertibles ships with the new plug-and-play wiring adapter at an unchanged retail price of 299 Euros + tax. SmartTOP kits are available for many other Mercedes-Benz models as well as for all of these popular brands: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Mazda, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and VW.

About Mods4cars:
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first SmartTOP roof controller was born.

The success of their first products in Germany and Europe prompted them in late 2004 to move operations to the USA, to be able to serve the American market as well as all other English speaking countries such as Australia, UK and South Africa from one central location. Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in Las Vegas and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

Being highly specialized in the development and distribution of aftermarket roof- and comfort controllers since 2002 allows them to offer an unsurpassed level of competence and product quality. Their main goal is optimization of each individual product to a maximum in compatibility, usability and intuitive operation. They put greatest effort into development and quality checks of all their products to achieve this goal and meet all expectations of their customers.

The extraordinary success of their products is also based on the great communication with their customers, which usually already starts for each new product during the development and prototyping phase.
