Vienna Electrician Helps Keep New Year’s Resolution

Wow, how could it possibly be 2012? The new year is upon us, and for at least a little while we can work toward losing weight, keeping fit, quitting bad habits and saving money. However, although it’s that time of year when we all make our annual resolutions, we also know how we’ll feel next week when we see that life is still pretty much the same here in Vienna. I’ve made a resolution to learn more using the Internet this year, and hopefully I’ll keep it up. The internet certainly provides us with anything we want to explore, including connections that you might not think exist. Did you know you can get results matching Mark Twain up with electricity? He was actually a very close friend of Nikola Tesla.

Nikola Tesla was an electrical genius. Even though others may get more credit, Tesla’s work set the stage for computers, television, neon lighting and even trains. He also thought that electricity should be free for everyone. As a young man, Tesla was living in Croatia, his birthplace, when he became very ill. He started reading Mark Train and credited Twain’s works to inspiring him to stay hopeful. After Tesla came to America in 1888 and started working with Thomas Edison, the attraction was reversed when the famous author became intrigued with his work and even wrote about some of Tesla’s experiments. He frequented Tesla’s lab and loved to participate in the tests related to photography and electricity. He loved lightning and realized early on:
“To understand lightning I had to learn about the nature of electricity: what it is, and how it moves. I found out that everything in the world is made of electricity and that electrical forces are responsible for holding things together–and sometimes for pushing them apart.”

I sure am grateful that all this work went on back then, especially since another one of my New Year’s resolutions is to fix up my house, and electricity is on the top of the list. Just think how difficult our lives would be without it. I not only found Mark Twain’s connection with Tesla, It was time to start my search for a licensed Electrician in Vienna. I plugged “electrician Vienna VA” in the search engine on my computer. Now, we take that amazing action for granted, not to mention the electrical power that makes it possible. I am looking forward to the arrival tomorrow of my new Vienna electrician from Certified Electrical Technologies. Both Tesla and Twain would be in awe at how easy it is to find an electrician in Vienna, or anywhere else, all because of Tesla’s work over a century ago. And, I wonder what they would think about a company who knows electricity and can participate in “live chat” over the internet.

I have combined my personal resolutions with those of my house.

1) Be grateful for the pioneers of electricity.
2) Appreciate and use the internet.
3) Appreciate residential electricians.
4) Ask about whole house surge protectors.
5) Add new GFI electrical outlets.
6) Consider landscape lighting.
7) Validate any Vienna electrician who helps me keep my resolutions past next week.

After my live chat online with Certified Electrical, I truly think I have found an Vienna Electrical Contractor who will surprise even Mark Train!
