“Tango Lovers” – (Enamorados del Tango) ignites the stage again in Uruguay with all its strength, passion and sensuality

International Tango sensation will perform again in the most important theater in Montevideo

Montevideo, October 07, 2012 – Tango Lovers (Enamorados del Tango) will take the center stage at the Adela Reta Auditorium at El Sodre, the most prestigious theater in the city. With a unique, fresh and totally renewed show returns to Uruguay by the audience’s demand , “Enamorados del Tango” displaying in full all the strength and passion of the most sensual musical genre of the world. The ensemble of more than 20 virtuous artists will perform this coming Saturday, October 27 at 9 pm.

Last August, the group was able to amaze audiences in important theaters in Miami and New York City, receiving the most positive feedback from spectators that acclaimed once again Tango Lovers as the best TANGO show in the last few years. The company tours in different countries offering renovated presentations making the audience vibrate each time.

ALFREDO LERIDA, director, singer and general producer is the creator of a dream come true, being a great international Tango ambassador seeking to share the culture of Rio de la Plata through the artistic expression of Tango.

Tango Lovers will perform in Montevideo, Uruguay under the musical direction of Alvaro Hagopian and his sextet, the artistic direction of MARCOS AYALA, the Argentinean tango sensation, winner of the world championship in Japan in 2006 and a group of extraordinary dancers that will present breathtaking tango dress designs from Mimi Pinzon’s exclusive collection.

The performance will feature the extraordinary TANGO dancer MORA GODOY, the internationally renowned Queen of Tango, dancer, director, producer and choreographer of tango, Tango Amor, Chantecler among other productions that have conquered the world.

ALFREDO LERIDA says “Tango has been spread all over the world and has no borders, it enchants people from all nationalities,” and he is continuously working alongside with MARCOS AYALA to create global awareness about the art and culture of Rio de la Plata while integrating local talent and diverse generations. “I aim to reach public of all ages and to attract younger generations to the Tango culture” says Marcos Ayala, who dynamically works with Alfredo Lerida to put on stage new and varied artistic proposals while promoting the culture of Rio de la Plata.

“Tango’s cultural importance has been recognized and it is featured on UNESCO World’s Cultural Heritage list.” Tango Lovers shares and promotes the culture of Rio de la Plata, the birthplace of tango.
