Now More Affordable: The SmartTOP Roof Controller for the Opel Astra and the Bentley Continental GTC

Mods4cars has lowered the price of their after-market SmartTOP roof controllers for Opel (Vauxhall) Astra TwinTop and Bentley Continental GTC. With these modules, it is possible to open and close the top while driving slowly or control the roof from a distance using the original remote fob. The SmartTOP is now available for 209 € + tax and 399 € + tax respectively.

Ocean, NJ, February 05, 2011 — Mods4cars has reduced the price of their SmartTOP roof controllers for the Opel (Vauxhall) Astra TwinTop and the Bentley Continental Gran Tourismo Convertible. The after-market module for the Opel Astra TT is now available for only 209 € + tax, the add-on roof controller for the Bentley Continental is now available for 399 € + tax.

“We’re kicking off 2011 with a price reduction that we hope will encourage more convertible owners to use this practical module,” explains PR spokesman Sven Tornow. The SmartTOP module makes it possible to open and close the top from a distance by pushing a button on the original remote fob, but without having to change or reprogram the car key.

Additionally, the roof can be opened or closed while driving (up to 40 km/h). Thanks to the One-Touch function, all it takes is pushing the center console switch briefly. The existing remote fob can also be used to open and close the windows from outside the car.

The roof controller can be completely deactivated if needed and can also be personalized. Its standard USB connector allows the customer to configure all settings and install firmware updates which are available free of charge for the life of the product, on a standard PC.

SmartTOP roof modules are also available for the following cars: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volkswagen, and Volvo.

About Mods4cars:
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first SmartTOP roof controller was born.

The success of their first products in Germany and Europe prompted them in late 2004 to move operations to the USA, to be able to serve the American market as well as all other English speaking countries such as Australia, UK and South Africa from one central location. Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in California and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

Being highly specialized in the development and distribution of aftermarket roof- and comfort controllers since 2002 allows them to offer an unsurpassed level of competence and product quality. Their main goal is optimization of each individual product to a maximum in compatibility, usability and intuitive operation. They put greatest effort into development and quality checks of all their products to achieve this goal and meet all expectations of their customers.

The extraordinary success of their products is also based on the great communication with their customers, which usually already starts for each new product during the development and prototyping phase.

RemoteKEY Comfort Controller for the Audi A2

Mods4cars is releasing the after-market RemoteKEY comfort controller for the Audi A2 in February 2011. Using the original remote control, one can open and close the windows or close the sunroof with the touch of a button.

Ocean, NJ, January 25, 2011 — The RemoteKEY comfort controller by Mods4cars gives Audi A2 owners extra convenience and functionality. It is possible to open and close the windows using the original remote fob without having to reprogram key or car.

With the RemoteKEY module, the sunroof can be closed from a distance and the gas cap can be unlocked comfortably from outside the car by remote control. The awkward process of unlocking the gas cap from inside the car is replaced by the convenience of pushing a button on the remote fob.

“The installation process for the RemoteKEY comfort controller for the Audi A2 is very simple: an additional control module is installed under the driver’s seat using a plug and play adapter that comes with the unit,” explains PR spokesman, Sven Tornow. “Absolutely anyone can install it without problems in just a few minutes,” states Tornow.

Additionally, the latest comfort controller can be completely deactivated as needed and can be personalized with additional functions: the switch for the driver’s window can be used to open or close all the windows, and the controller can be adjusted to lock the car automatically while driving.

The RemoteKEY comfort controller features a standard USB connector that allows you to configure the device on your PC and install free software updates.

Mods4cars also provides upgradeable controllers for the following cars: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and Volkswagen.

The comfort controller for the Audi A2 costs 169,00 Euro + tax.
