Hardware-Update: SmartTOP Top Control for Bentley Continental GTC Convertible

Mods4cars retrofit SmartTOP controller for the Bentley Continental GTC Convertible will be delivered in a new housing. The SmartTOP roof module allows, among other things, one-touch operation of the convertible top during slow driving and operation of the roof via the existing vehicle keys.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), November 2nd, 2016 — The company Mods4cars completely redesigned the housing of its SmartTOP Roof Modules. The additional top control for the Bentley Continental GTC has also received the exclusive design. The new housing is not only visually a nice change, but also provides assistance when installing the retrofit comfort control.

Two integrated LEDs indicate the correct installation of the SmartTOP module. Its narrower shape allows the SmartTOP control to be easily built into the vehicle. In addition, a contribution to the environment is made. For the new housing less plastic is used and screws are entirely omitted.

Since 2002, the company Mods4cars offers its smart folding top modules. Simplifying the use of convertibles with clever additional features. They allow opening and closing of the top while driving at a speed of up to 40 km/h. Thanks to one-touch operation, the top button must only be touched once and the roof movement is automatically executed.

In addition, the roof can be operated via the existing vehicle keys from afar. Through a combination of keys on the remote control, the soft top can be opened and closed. With that, you can select whether the windows should be retracted after opening the roof or remain down. This feature requires no change to the vehicle remote control.

Besides these two main features, each SmartTOP module has additional functions that can be programmed individually. It is thereby also possible for the windows to be opened and closed separately via the vehicle remote control from a distance. While the top is in motion the hazard warning lights can also be activated.

Starting and stopping the engine does not interrupt the current top motion. The module can be, if necessary, completely disabled. The built in USB port allows programming of the roof control. Moreover, software updates can be loaded, which the company Mods4cars provides free of charge to their customers.

SmartTOP modules are available for the following vehicles: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and VW. SmartTOP Additional Top Control for the Chevrolet Corvette C7 is Now Available

As of now the SmartTOP control from Mods4cars is also available for the Chevrolet Corvette C7. The retrofit convertible module enables the operation of the convertible top while driving with one touch function. In addition, the roof can be opened and closed from afar via the cars key.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), October 17th, 2016 — The manufacturer Mods4cars announces that the retrofit SmartTOP control for the Chevrolet Corvette C7 is in stock. “We have listened to the multiple customer inquiries and are happy to now offer a comfort smart solution for the Corvette C7,” says PR spokesman Sven Tornow.

The roof module made by Mods4cars is retrofitted into the vehicle and lightens the convertibles day to day with clever additional features. The SmartTOP enables one-touch operation of the convertible top. The interior button must therefore not be held down throughout the entire top motion movement. Instead a quick tap is enough for the roof to be opened or closed automatically.

Furthermore, the operation of the roof from a distance is made possible via the original vehicle keys. Top motion can then be initiated with a combination of keys on the remote control. The corvette driver can then already open their top when moving toward the vehicle. Conversely, it is also possible to close the roof from a distance, e.g. if it suddenly begins to rain. No changes to the original vehicle key is required.

Like every SmartTOP, the comfort module also offers useful additional functions for the Chevrolet Corvette C7. “A very special feature is the automatic raising of the window after closing the top,” explains PR spokesman, Sven Tornow. “It is no longer necessary to manually put up the window after the top motion movement. This saves time.”

In addition, the windows can be opened and closed via the remote control. Starting or stopping the engine does not interrupt the current top motion. The module can be deactivated at any time. And all functions of the SmartTOP roof module can be programmed to your personal wishes.

A mounted USB port on the SmartTOP module allows connection to a home PC/Mac. Thereby, the roof module can be easily configured. Moreover, uploading of software updates is made possible, which Mods4cars offers free of charge.

The included plug-and-play cable set and ease of access ensure for an easy installation. With a simple interlock, the connection between SmartTOP and vehicle electronics is established. No lines need to be cut, which is why a traceless dismantling is possible at any time.

SmartTOP Roof Controller by Mods4cars Now Available for the New Porsche 911 Targa

Effective immediately the SmartTOP add-on roof controller made by Mods4cars is available for the new Porsche 911 Targa. It allows convenient one-touch operation of the Targa Top as well as opening and closing operation from the original key fob remote.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), April 13th, 2015 — Aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars brings in the convertible top season with new product: The SmartTOP roof controller for the new Porsche 911 Targa is now available and makes using the Targa Top more fun with its intelligent and convenient features. The kit allows opening and closing with just a single tap on the console switch. Top operation completes fully automatically. It is no longer necessary to hold down the console switch for the entire time of the top cycle.

Additionally it is possible to control the Targa Top from the original factory key remote. “SmartTOP customers can open or close their top while approaching the car.” explains PR-Manager Sven Tornow. “This feature is particularly useful on hot days when it is nice to be able to air out the car before getting in. It is also a tremendous bonus to be able to close the top quickly from afar at the first sign of rainfall.” Sven Tornow continues. No change needs to be made to the original remote fobs.

Also the windows can be controlled, independently from the top, by remote. All functions and settings of the SmartTOP module can be configured to individual taste. The entire module can be temporarily disabled, if needed, while retaining all user settings for when it is re-enabled later.

Installation of the SmartTOP kit is extremely simple. “In a very short time and with very few steps the module is installed in the car.” Sven Tornow points out. “The included custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter simply connects the SmartTOP to the vehicle electronics.” No wires need to be cut, spliced or soldered. Removal is possible at any time without leaving any trace or damage.

The SmartTOP Targa Top Controller for the new Porsche 911 Targa comes in the new, exclusive Mods4cars product enclosure which was engineered in house for perfect fit. Due to its very small and slim nature it can be installed in very tight spaces. It is equipped with a USB port for quick and easy configuration and firmware updates via Mac or Windows PC. Support software and firmware updates are available online free of charge.
