Future Electronics Announces Immediate Availability of New 3D Magnetic Sensors from Infineon

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) July 19, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components founded in 1968 by Robert Miller, has announced immediate shipping availability of new 3D magnetic sensors from Infineon, for consumer and industrial markets.

Infineon’s new 3D magnetic sensor TLV493D-A1B6 offers accurate three dimensional sensing with extremely low power consumption in a small 6-pin package. With an opportunity to detect the magnetic field in x-, y-, and z-direction the sensor is ideally suited for the measurement of 3D movements, linear movements and rotation movements.

Features of this 3D magnetic sensor from Infineon include integrated temperature sensing, low current consumption, 12-bit data resolution for each measurement direction, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.

Typical applications for Infineon’s 3D magnetic sensor include joysticks (e.g. finger, thumb and gaming paddles), E-meters (e.g. anti-tampering), and control elements (e.g. white goods, multifunction knobs).
